Of course, it shows things in a much more Ukrainian favorable light than any Russian map, because the French are also backing the Ukies and because the French don’t have the same access as Russians. But, for contrast, here it is. Let’s call it “here is what they officially admit to” :-)

and just to add to the picture, here is a machine translation of the summary of the day by Boris Rozhin (aka Colonel Cassad):
1. Mariupol. Street fighting. By evening, no major advances were reported in the city. Cases of attempts by enemy soldiers to leave the city under the guise of civilians have become more frequent. Filtering generally works. Civilians continue to be actively pulled out of the combat zone and evacuated.
2. Ugledar. A number of messages have been taken, but there is no official confirmation yet. The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have actively advanced in the direction of Kurakhovo. There are prerequisites for an offensive from the east to Velikaya Novoselka. In Maryinka, after several days of fighting and powerful artillery preparation, it was possible to inflict serious losses on the enemy and advance a little, but it is still far from the complete capture of the Maryinsky fortified area.
3. Avdiivka. Without significant changes. The positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are held here, despite the many days of fire exposure.
4. LNR. Rubezhnoye is almost completely cleared. The troops advanced to the northern outskirts of Lisichansk. The assault on the city will begin soon. There are street fights in Severodonetsk. It’s too early to talk about the complete capture of Popasnaya, fighting continues in the city.
5. Kharkiv. Heavy fighting to the north and east of the city. Their results are not yet clear. In the area of Izyum, the struggle for Kamenka continues, which is crucial for the AFU holding the southern part of Izyum, which hinders the effective development of the offensive of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on Slavyansk and Barvenkovo. The APU perfectly understands the consequences of the collapse of the front under the Raisins and throws their most combat-ready reserves here from the remaining ones.
6. Zaporozhye. Gulyai-Pole is still rather under the APU. The city was badly damaged. Most likely, increased pressure in this direction will occur after the liberation of Mariupol. The front between Vasilyevka and Kamenskoye is unchanged. Nuts are also under the APU.
7. Kiev. Some expansion of the control zone of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation to the west and south of Kiev, but there are no operational achievements here yet. Fighting continued from the east, but there are no active movements in the direction of Brovar yet. There is no special movement to Poltava, although the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has already stated that the advance to Poltava will begin soon. Perhaps there is still an accumulation of forces. Sumy and Chernihiv are unchanged.
8. Odessa. The Black Sea Fleet is still simulating an amphibious threat, the APU is engaged in anti-amphibious measures. Along the way, it is reported that part of the exposed sea mines was torn off by a storm and carried away towards Romania and Bulgaria. There are no large movements of troops from Odessa to Nikolaev. On the contrary, there is a process of building up the Odessa grouping in anticipation of the activation of the Nikolaev grouping of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
9. Nikolaev. Losses during the strike on the barracks of the 79th odshbr ranged from 80 to 200 killed and 200-300 wounded. In fact, one of the brigade’s battalions ceased to exist in a few minutes, which seriously reduced the APU’s ability to conduct active operations in the Mykolaiv area or to be active in the direction of Kherson. The city itself is still not being stormed, the emphasis is on the methodical destruction of manpower and equipment by air strikes, missiles, MLRS and artillery.
10. Krivoy Rog. There is no serious progress yet, as well as under Nikolai. The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation met barriers there and have not yet made active progress towards these cities. Tactical reconnaissance is actively conducted deep into the enemy’s territory due to the lack of a full-fledged front in all areas.
They have this taboo (probably of sexual nature): they fail to even mention the existence of LDNR!
Which is hilarious. I mean, even the freaking CCP has no problem with the word “Taiwan”. Only claiming (or implying) it to be seperate from china gets you sent to the gulag.
have you noticed how contrite CCP officials have become lately? They’re genuinely worried about this special operation.
The French fought and won what war?
The Vietnamese kicked them to hell.
The Algerians kicked them to hell.
Maybe it was the maps that cost them their empire and colonies?
And maybe why Mali and CAR and a bunch of other African nations want Russian military and PMCs not French.
GIGO
They join the General George Custer Map Brigade. Forward. Charge!
The French won many more wars than the USA :-)
France exists since over 2 millennia, they did not built their country by losing wars…
the US on the other hand…
The only war the US has won POST-WWII was against mighty Grenada!
Take a chill pill. In case you forgot, the French helped the USA to become independent. Or maybe the US history was censored at the same time the freedom fries came to existence?
Step 1: Define the original goals of a US war.
Step 2: Have the majority of goals been achieved?
Step 3: Check annual military spending for reference.
Step 3: Lower your head in shame.
– Somebody stuck in a NATO-country.
Where did they win a war by themselves in the 20th or 21st Century?
They were allied vs Germany in the First WW.
They sat out the Second WW.
And it was the two big wars of colonization I pointed to that marked them well.
I love French language and culture. But they should stick to love not war.
It’s not their game, though their armed forces are excellent.
It’s the maps! Those worthless maps.
Until the late 19th century, the French were the pre-eminent war-mongers of continental Europe. They fought everyone.
This is an important map. I hope you post more like it. Wartime propaganda is a lot of B.S. on both sides. There is a certain wisdom to looking at what both sides agree on. The maps of both sides are reasonably similar. The Ukraine has what? 600,000 troops massing near Donetsk and Luhansk, ready to attack these two. Russia invaded with what? 200,000 troops into the pro-Russian part of the Ukraine where the Ukrainian troops have been massing. The CIA and the media say Russia is targeting civilians. How can this be, if Russia is invading the East, where the Ukrainian troops and the pro-Russian civilians are, instead of exclusively bombing the West where there are only anti-Russian civilians? What do you see on the map? Russians surrounding Ukrainian troops in the East and a huge crescent of Russian military encircling what? A void. What is to go into this void, except a NATO invasion from the West. This is a transparent military trap. Where would President Putin rather engage NATO? In a NATO country? In Russia? Or in the middle of the Ukraine? What is the point of stirring up the American populace into an anti-Russian lather? What is America’s next move? To send NATO troops into an obvious trap?
I do not like the French for their innumerable colonial crimes and their deep racisms. But when they fight for defense of homeland they are very brave. Generally speaking, on the western front, the victory in the First World War was essentially a French victory. The Americans did not have much to do with the victory. They came only with light weapons. It was the French who equipped and trained them in artillery, aircrafts and engineering materials, taking away important means at decisive moments. The French determination at Verdun is comparable to that of the Russians at Stalingrad. The battle lasted several months with more than one million men on both sides and 600 thousand French losses.
WW2, defensive battle of Bir Hakeim, small battle in comparison with operation inside Russia, but a success.
The French breakthrough on the Garigliano that precipitated the battle of Monte Cassino was a very bold success of the colonial infantry.
The landing in Provence in August 1945 was very quickly a brilliant success. They took Toulon and Marseilles 6 weeks ahead of schedule. They then immediately rushed along the Rhone valley taking the Germans in reverse precipitating the total collapse of the German front. The fights for the liberation of Strasbourg are not to be despised.
The French generals had scheduled an offensive against Germany within a few days when the WWI Armistice was proposed. An offensive that the Germans could no longer oppose. It was a clever move by the Germans, but a betrayal on the French army.
It is important to remember this, because a similar situation will be observed in Ukraine soon; not that the Ukrainian military is not defeated already, it is; but there is reality, and there is the perception of reality, and if the full results of this operation are to be grabbed, caution must be taken at the choice of the moment to end hostilities.
Regarding comparisons between French and Russian battles, the battle of Rzhev at the start of WWII and the battle of the Marne at start of WWI must have been very similar in terms of sacrifice.
The War of Independence of the US. Not alone, of course, but you understand my point.
Let’s give the French some credit. They did not (yet) show any Russian territory under ukie control. LOL!
What I’m really waiting for, is a map from the Polish regime. Now that will be a comedy show. I’ve been listening to their MSM broadcasts, and they are saying all sorts of stuff, that Kadyrov’s forces have ran away from ukraine, and there is also some kind of a ‘Special Mission’ program about Kremlin Secrets, and also, how Putin and Shoigu are having some kind of a bad feud and that there is a plot to remove Putin.
come on France won many wars, don’t buy into Anglo propaganda. We all know how quickly Britain collapsed when faced with an enemy that could actually shoot back.
Part of the Anglo strategy is to create a myth of invincibility and part of that is to protray the French as poor fighters. Don’t feed into that
Remember that Odessa is the real prize that NATO is fighting for, and it will be the part of Ukraine most heavily contested and difficult to take by force.
In fact it may not be sensible to try to take Odessa by force. This may be why Russia is being more careful with Odessa than even Kiev.
I have explained why Odessa is critical to NATO so I wont repeat again now (and it should now be obvious to everyone why Ukraine, and therefore NATO, must go all out to retain control of Odessa now anyway).
What I will add though is from what I can tell from piecing together bits of information is that it now appears that Odessa has finally been cut off from NATO by sea.
I am not talking about warships or transport ships of course – they were stopped on day one, I am talking about the undersea “rat run” along the coast between Romania and Ukraine via Snake Island.
Indications of Russian dive teams and underwater drone use, including the mysteriously “cut” Ukrainian undersea mines which are apparently on thier way to Turkey (yes really) would indicate that Russia has finally blocked the undersea “rat run” between Romania and Ukraine and is now activly de-mining the coast and preventing any NATO spec ops from joining / leaving the city.
The short underwater trip from Romanian waters to Odessa would be childs play to NATO spec ops using even simple modern underwater tech, heck US Navy SEALS and British SBS could simply swim it.
I get the impression that the speed and desperation of weapons shipments to Ukraine have something to do with the noose now tightening around Odessa. NATO may risk direct confrontation with Russia to secure Ukraines access to the the Black Sea as currently this may be the last chance in this life time that NATO will have to build a naval base with which to park US and British warships and threaten Russia with the delivery to Ukraine of some modern NATO missile tech.
On a side note, with the undersea rat run closed and the overland escape route effectively closed by top cover, any NATO forces inside Odessa have no where to go (although they could do what some British recently did – ditch thier uniforms for civillian clothes and walk out pretending to be a refugee).
Crimea may have been the biggest “jewel” in the Ukrainian Crown so to speak, but Odessa is no less important to NATO and their ultimate plan to first contain Russia, then destroy Russia.
Therefore, where goes Odessa goes the war.
NATO won’t be sailing to Odessa in the next 1000 years.
Russia will take Odessa. In order to denazify Ukraine, Odessa’s civil and military and naval structures have to be reduced to ashes. I mean all the two-legged structures.
How long can a surrounded, blocked city last?
We see most of the national leaders in these cities and the top officers abandon their post and commands and escape when the Russians appear. With Mariupol as a Russian victory soon, the psychology of the other cities will be changing.
There is no city so far, that if the Russians want to enter, the Ukies can keep the Russians out.
Odessa has street barricades, but nothing formidable. If the troops fight from tall buildings, the Russians will blast the buildings.
I think it will resist for a few days and then fall. The timing will be when Nikolaev falls and Mariupol is done.
They will have no hope of any rescue, cut off, isolated, with all the other cities along the southern border in Russian hands by then. There will be great pressure to drain off troops and equip to head north or west to support Kiev in the north or to form a force in the west which the US wants to turn into an insurgency.
Speaking as a layperson where military/strategic matters are concerned, this reads as very authoritative and enlightening, thankyou. I hope and pray NATO is confounded everywhere in this conflict but especially in odessa
An update from the famous Serbian “volunteer” Dejan Beric (posted on his YT Community feed):
Hello friends. I was gone for a long time since we don’t have internet on the front.
Currently five days of rest, nectar, medicine and bed, make a straight bed in the warm. And then to new victories.
The situation at the front is about what we expected. Why approximately?
None of us expected the regular army of Ukraine to bomb its civilians. You all know very well that the Albanians pulled out families who did not agree with them and shot them. The Ukrainian regular army is even worse. Those we destroyed, destroyed, however, many fled to Kujevo (Kiev?). To stop us, Ukrainian artillerymen beat us with Smerch, Uragan in the cities in front of us. Instead of moving forward, we pulled civilians out from under the rubble.
They asked us to provide security to the Russians who distributed humanitarian aid.
We entered the town of Borodjanka, it was 25-30 km in the background at that time. It was said on the loudspeaker that people could go out and get food.
In half an hour a large number of 250-300 people gathered.
Then the first rocket flew, it went 700-800 meters further, it crashed the entire ninth floor. In a few minutes, the next fire arrived a kilometer earlier, I didn’t see any results, but it fell into a densely built-up part of the town.
Otherwise, we destroy these reptiles without any problems, they talk more than they know how to fight. According to the data of the people who managed to escape from Kiev and Mariupol, the Nazis kept them in the cities by force.
Mariupol will be cleaned in two or three days, Volnovakha has been cleaned completely.
In LNR, the Ukrainian army is closed in two boilers (the entire territory of the Luhansk region is closed in a boiler). Now comes the utilization. On the fourth day, the supply of food and ammunition was interrupted.
The DNR is going slower. In some areas, the Ukrainian army had six or seven well-buried lines of defense. They are all destroyed.
They are slowly closing and in the DNR, Ukrainians will soon be cooking in three cauldrons.
Kiev is a big city and Putin’s order to take care of civilians prevents the actions of aviation and the fast environment. The Ukrainians in all the big cities dragged the artillery between the buildings and in some of the cities we liberated they literally dragged them into the buildings. Tanks entered the ground floor of the buildings and from there beat us.
Our battalion mainly works on detecting and destroying sabotage groups, and we are more than successful in that. We lost one fighter and we have two wounded. Many groups of special forces, both the army and the SBU, were destroyed.
Idiot Zelenski distributed weapons to civilians. They go into battle as abnormal, are destroyed or run away in ten minutes.
I heard that volunteers can come to Russia now. For now, it’s just gossip, don’t take it for granted. I will do my best to find out the correct information in a day or two.
Ours are all ok. All the best
Thanks for this update. After watching the video about him on Youtube I had wondered what had become of him.
Thank you for posting this!
Here’s another US fanboy, anon.
Surrendering territory is not an indicator of a win. US hasn’t surrendered their illegal occupation of El Tanf but does that mean they are winning/have won? No, not at all.
US did not win the “Korean war”. At best it was a stalemate caused by US threats to go nuclear that led to the armistice.
The facts are that the US military is second rate, the soldiers are weak, scared little boys without the air support.
I think you need to go back to CNN, they miss you.
For those who understand Serbian/Russian I share a YT link to a report from journalist Miodrag Zarkovic who has been visiting Donbass the past month covering the conflict. Use the CC tab to translate to English.

COWBOY LOGIC
Sorry, I’m on a roll this morning.
Lara Logan’s also been very strong on this Ukie malarkey. Look her up on rumble.
Here she is explaining how Ukraine is the centre of a money laundering op for US oligarchs, the Russia collusion hoax, etc. It’s the gift that keeps on giving for western insiders. You may have even heard of the Laptop from Hell?

It’s also on The Conservative Treehouse

There are quite a few US conservatives that don’t believe this shite either, though it’s not often mentioned.
One last Logan quote:
“We’re past the ninth mile. We’re sitting at the gates of Auschwitz and we’re arguing about whether the smoke coming out of the ovens is climate change.” ~ Lara Logan (closing remark)
In beautiful France, at least in the South West, there is no heating oil for now 4 weeks.
The price has doubled since December (Euros 1750 per 1.000 liters) but TOTAL has no stocks.
Anybody with a empty tank is screwed.
Cheers from France.
this is known as sanctions blowback
Since France teamed up with Britain for the Crimean War against Russia, they are likely skittish.
Strange that all the global warming bunkum is dated from that war in the 1850’s.
