May 12, 2015: Sochi – Somebody left the Washington stable door opened, and Kerry got lost and wandered into Putin’s back yard. The Russians placed Kerry right in front of a hey box. He was hovering slowly over his fat folder with stickers: Ahhh… whatyamacallit? errr.. Poroshenko… should think twice before shelling those nice people in Donbass. Why did everybody get so surprised? Kerry is no fearless Merkel. He and his calcified prostate wanted to get back home. Surrounded by the enemy he unconditionally surrenders. It’s his kneejerk reaction since the Vietnam war.
Don’t fool yourself thinking that his entire outlook on the universe has changed after he tried excellent Russian Abrau-Durso champagne. He will recover and will fight this war until the only Ukrainians left are those in Canadian reservations. Putin and Lavrov should always remember that they are talking to a murderous lying delusional psychopath, as Kerry’s compatriots compassionately call him.

When President Putin visited Israel in June 2012, Ultra-Orthodox Jews discussed a secret agreement between him and Netanyahu about the rescue of Jews from Israel to Russia in case of a big war in the Middle East. Nothing says that there was such an agreement, but it definitely would not be enacted now.

NATO EU Ukraine War on Donbass
Word in a blogosphere that all the celebrations in DNR and LNR seem rather happy and well-organized. It’s surprising and even strange for the outside observers to see how these two Donbass regions is effectively functioning as separate states in each and every way, and that people there largely seem to be fine with it all and are accepting the whole DNR/LNR thing. I mean, it’s not just this but pretty much everything that’s come out of there over the past months indicates the same thing. I really do wonder how this ongoing conflict is going to eventually end and just how things will look at that stage, seeing that nobody (neither Ukraine and its backers, or Russia) around them is particularly happy about them being effectively independent. Strange twist of things…
And the Italian communist party marching with them too, shouting the old Spanish Civil War anti-fascist catchphrase ¡No pasarán!

4. Anti-Russian opposition in Russia claims that 220 Russian volunteers died in major battles in East Ukraine [Source]
According to just released Nemtsov’s investigative report by Russian free market proponents a.k.a. liberal opposition activists has concluded that 220 Russian soldiers died in two major battles in eastern Ukraine. The 64-page report, called Putin. War, has been published on the Open Russia news website.
It details how 150 Russian soldiers were killed in the key battle for Ilovaisk, a small town in the Donetsk region, in August 2014. More recently, it says, 70 Russian soldiers died in the battle for Debaltseve, which fell to pro-Russian rebels in February, after the Minsk ceasefire deal was signed. “All key successes of the separatists were secured by the Russian army units,” Mr Yashin said.
Supporters of Nemtsov suspect that he was assassinated because of the sensitive information he had collected about Russia’s involvement in the Ukraine conflict. Free market proponents also claim that Nemtsov kept all the sensitive information “in his head.”

Russia and Beyond
1. To Be Russian
A great essay by Andre Vltchek. [Source] [Source]
Two slightly different versions. One with illustrations.
Trust between the West and Russia is broken. It has been for quite some time, but now it is broken irreversibly. A good thing, because what kind of trust there could be between fascist imperialism and the forces that are fighting for the freedom of mankind?
In the Middle East and Africa, in South America and many parts of Asia, Russia is increasingly seen as an enormous moral force. Russia is synonymous with hope. Not for those in North America and Europe, but for those who were, for centuries, suffering under their boot.
2. The Birth of Super-Nova by Egor Kholmogorov [Source]
ХОЛМОГОРОВ Егор Рождение новой звезды
May 9th 2015, for many in Russia has become a moment of unprecedented emotional and cultural synthesis.
For decades now, Russia as a country-civilization, was painstakingly looking for its own cultural form. Our past was broken into millions of sharp shards. We cut our hands every time we tried to pick up fragments.
Being under constant attacks from every possible angle and side, Russia was stubbornly whispering, I don’t want to die.
Symbols of a better life, that Russia offers to herself and to the others. Be human. Keep life and memory. Sustain progress for people, not in place of people. Look for strength in your faith. Don’t allow abuse of your dignity. Reach for the soul and simplicity in life and culture. Those are all very decent civilizational choices, considering the de-humanization that imposes on the world the dying hegemony “leader.”

You forgot to mention that Kerry tried to play pawn at K5 to K3, until Putin pointed out that pawns can’t move backwards, or two spaces at a time except from the starting position, and they are not allowed to jump over pieces either. Then he tried to move a bishop to a square of a different color. Then he tried to move one of Putin’s knights, but was informed that was a horse of a different color and Kerry couldn’t control that piece. Putin is slowly and patiently teaching him the rules of the game, but Kerry has difficulty with it: at the end he tried to bid 2 clubs.

Scott, thanks for the SITREP.
Priceless your chronicle of the meeting in Sochi. You’ve made my day.
I loved the section “Russia and beyond”, in particular Andre Vltchek´s article, which, although Saker recommended the other day, had not yet read, just because of lack of time. I was moved to tears, and that is, without personally knowing any Russian, unless our dear Saker, his description of the Russian soul is just the idea that I have formed in my mind from this people, which has led me to love them, but they always had my admiration and respect.
Learn more about the Russian people, which from knew indeed very little, gave me more faith and hope in humanity, that there was something missing.
Glad to read André Vltchek talking about the “new Russians”, something that Saker had already noted on occasion, that Russians are those who love Russia and fight for Russia, and that is, some time ago I have been feeling the Russian nation as a second home ( in fact for me The USSR was always the home of the workers) and as a refuge in case of need. Living in the heart of the beast, it is always a comfort to have one.
Like André, I am a tireless traveler. Why one travels, apart from curiosity and restlessness to know other people, other cultures, are different reassons and change over time, even from one trip to another. Sometimes one travels with little desire or in bad company, and somewhere even wondered, what the hell am I doing here ?, but in some places, sometimes even very poor, very remote, one finds people with heart, and finds a home, a place where maybe could easily stay forever or return one day.

“Nomads” by Franco Battiato
Nomads seeking angles of tranquility,
in the mists of the north, in civilized riots,
between light and dark and monotony of passing days.
Hiker looking for peace in the twilight
you’ll find it, you will find at the end of your way.
Under the transit of the apparent duality
September rain wakes the emptiness of my room
and the cries of loneliness still extend.
As a foreigner I do not feel bonds of sentiment,
and I will depart from the city, waiting for a new awakening.
The travelers go in search of hospitality,
in sunny villages, in the slums of the immensity
and then sleep on land´s pillows.
Stranger you are looking for the unfathomable dimension
you will find it out of town at the end of your way.
Lots of material. Thanks Scott.

“They are skewing schools and national education systems away from real learning towards repetitive rote learning,” said Sir Anthony, head of Wellington College in Berkshire.

There is something to this, but the US would likely rank even lower by ‘real learning’ criteria. Somewhere around the typical level of a goat, trained monkey — or sheep.

Chicago Faces $2.2 Billion Bank Payout After Rating Cut to Junk
Bloomberg
By Darrell Preston 4 hours ago
Chicago may have to pay banks as much as $2.2 billion after Moody’s Investors Service dropped its credit rating to junk, deepening the fiscal crisis in the third-largest U.S. city.
The company’s decision Tuesday to cut Chicago’s $8.1 billion of general obligations two ranks to Ba1, one step below investment grade, allows banks to demand that the city repay debt early and exposes it to fees to end swaps contracts, Moody’s said in a statement. JPMorgan Chase & Co., Barclays Plc and Wells Fargo & Co. are among the city’s bankers.

Worker Claims She Was Fired for Disabling GPS That Tracked Her 24/7
Myrna Arias has alleged in a lawsuit filed against her former employer, the money transfer firm Intermex, that her boss, John Stubits, was using the job-management app Xora to track her every move 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
“The app had a “clock in/out” feature which did not stop GPS monitoring, that function remained on. This is the problem about which Ms. Arias complained. Management never made mention of mileage. They would tell her co-workers and her of their driving speed, roads taken, and time spent at customer locations. Her manager made it clear that he was using the program to continuously monitor her, during company as well as personal time.” Arias’ attorney Gail Glick told Ars Technica in an email statement.
Stubits admitted that employees would be monitored while off duty and bragged that he knew how fast she was driving at specific moments ever since she installed the app on her phone. Plaintiff expressed that she had no problem with the app’s GPS function during work hours, but she objected to the monitoring of her location during non-work hours and complained to Stubits that this was an invasion of her privacy. She likened the app to a prisoner’s ankle bracelet and informed Stubits that his actions were illegal. Stubits replied that she should tolerate the illegal intrusion…” The complaint alleges.

Iowa Landowner: Oil Company Offered Me Teenage Prostitute for Land Rights
Hughie Tweedy alleges that he was offered “the sexual services of a woman” on three separate occasions in exchange for his cooperation, and filmed two of the conversations.
“On these recordings you will hear evidence of my senior pipeline representative offering me not once, not twice, but three times the sexual services of a woman,” Tweedy said, speaking at a news conference on the steps of the Iowa State Capitol Building on Monday, “the last time being a $1200 teenage prostitute.”

Mentally ill inmates abused in 5,000 US detention centers – HRW
Human Rights Watch has issued a report stating that mentally ill prisoners are being abused in detention facilities across the US, and that these practices are happening in over 5,000 facilities.
The activist group says inmates are being subjected to unnecessary and excessive use of force, and the problem is widespread.
The report provides details of cases where inmates were shocked with Tasers, and where pepper spray was used against them.
In some cases, prisoners were left in restraint chairs for days, or put in scalding showers.

The Blindness of the European Union in the Face of US Military Strategy
by Thierry Meyssan
The United States has never wanted Ukraine to join the Union
Military academies of the European Union have not studied “chaos theory” because they are barred from doing so. The few teachers and researchers who have ventured on this ground have been severely punished, while the press labels as “conspiracy theorists” civilian writers interested in the subject.
The politicians of the European Union believed that the events of Maidan Square were spontaneous and that the demonstrators wanted to leave the authoritarian Russian orbit and enter the EU paradise. They were amazed at the publication of the conversation of the Under Secretary of State, Victoria Nuland, referring to her secret control of events and saying her goal was to “F—k the EU” (sic). [8] Henceforth, they no longer understood anything about what was happening.

Jeb Bush, the Mexican Drug Cartel and “Free Trade”. The Bush Family and Organized Crime
Michel Chossudovsky (CRG) : Jeb Bush is a presidential candidate. But Jeb is not only the brother of George W. and the son of George H. W. Bush. Jeb Bush also had close personal ties to Raul Salinas de Gortiari, brother of Mexico’s former president Carlos Salinas de Gortiari. In the 1990s, Raul the “drug kingpin”, according to Switzerland’s federal prosecutor Carla del Ponte, was one of the main figures of the Mexican Drug Cartel.

US President Barack Obama has stepped up anti-Iran rhetoric after Arab leaders backed out of an upcoming Camp David meeting.
In an interview with a Saudi newspaper published on Wednesday, Obama accused Iran of sponsoring terrorism and engaging in dangerous behavior in different countries across the region.
“Iran clearly engages in dangerous and destabilizing behavior in different countries across the region. Iran is a state sponsor of terrorism,” Obama was quoted as saying by the London-based Ashraq Al-Awsat newspaper, which

TEHRAN (FNA)- The arrested Turkish prosecutor, Aziz Takçı, in a defense he made at a court in Adana disclosed that MIT (the Turkish intelligence body) had sent weapons in over 2,000 trucks for the terrorist groups fighting against President Bashar Assad’s government last year.
The Turkish government recently arrested 4 prosecutors and a military officer for halting and investigating trucks belonging to MIT (Turkish intelligence) in Adana and Hatay last year.
“These trucks were loaded with weapons such as anti-aircraft rockets, 155-mm cannons and other types of ammunition,” Takçı said.
Prosecutor Takçı revealed the state’s links with ISIL in his defense he made in Adana’s Criminal Court.

The most hilarious story out of western propaganda is Ban Ki Moon mistaking the march of the Immortal Regiment in Moscow as government protest. That is very amusing. Thanks for the laugh! It just doesn’t get any stupider than that. Putin marched in that protest. That’s funny. What’s next, Pope Francis announces that aliens exist and live among us?
Sad really, to think any big march of people MUST be a protest.
And idiotic, to think this would follow right on from such a magnificent parade.
And sillier still to actually admit to such a misconception.
Actually, Kat, it was a protest of sorts–just not a protest against the Russian government. These days, the lying NATO press is trying to ‘memory-hole’ the Second World War by down-playing the heroic sacrifices of the Russian/Soviet people in crushing the Third Reich. These simple, decent Russian demonstrators refuse to allow their heroic grandparents to be airbrushed out of history. They are standing up to NATO (a Washington-Brussels axis) and saying, ‘Our people did it once. If need be, we can do it again.’

Countries Around the World Are Revoking Freedom of Assembly
The appearance of anti-protest laws in so many countries reveals a general trend in the way governments envision the future. As the state’s utter failure to assist those most hurt by the ongoing economic crisis becomes impossible to ignore and as even the recovery from crisis proves hollow for most people, protests and riots are spreading worldwide, with no sign of slowing down.

A to Zion – The Definitive Israeli Lexicon – Gilad Atzmon & Enzo Apicella
A to Zion – The definitive Israeli Lexicon is a fictitious alphabetic satirical lexicon, containing important and eye-opening definitions. If you happen to be troubled by the book’s content, perhaps this book is not for you or perhaps you think it is about you.
Petersen did a review:
The Lexicon of Zion
Author/jazz artist Gilad Atzmon has combined with cartoonist Enzo Apicella to produce, as it is entitled, The Definitive Israeli Lexicon: A to Zion. And true to its title, provided are the definition of words from A to Z — from a Jewish-Israeli standpoint.

Those little hedgeis..just loved them. (The site also had a great squirrel snowball fight..)
I used to feed a family of three – Mom, Dad and Baby with cat-nuts. The cats – all three – used to just sit until the hedgies had ploughed through the plate, then ate the left-overs. Or, sometimes only Baby would arrive and feed industriously along with the cats. ..
