1)MPs: Russia is the historical name of Ukraine
The relevant bill was submitted to the Ukrainian Parliament
According to Ukrainian MPs, the use of the word “Russia” as an official synonym of the Russian Federation is “aggressive reminder to the citizens of Ukraine about the “temporariness” of the Ukrainian statehood”.
In Kiev believe that this is an infringement on the sovereignty of Ukraine.

The members of the Bundestag with the Ukrainian partners will explain to the population that the expansion of the European Union is unlikely
“This initiative of several German politicians, in particular, the deputies from the party “Alternative for Germany”, – said Bondarenko.
“All wonderfully understand that Ukraine in the near future does not Shine no European integration. Moreover, the EU does not Shine no extension in the near future, at least in the foreseeable future. Deluding oneself is counterproductive, ” he said.
“I understand that the same idea was hatched by he social Democrats, the German, especially the left wing, and other political forces, not only in Germany. Europe understands that it is necessary to do something with Ukraine, which is her roommate, but at the same time we can’t give her inflated promises, hopes, etc.” – said Bondarenko.

18)FREE EUROPE FROM AMERICAN DICTATORSHIP!
I know that you all are allergic to bad news. I too am allergic, but nevertheless it’s better to know:
–As Scott mentioned in a comment and then I reported, back in June:
It does appear that Turkstream is dead. US simply made too many obstacles: Still no contract w Turkey even for her own one pipe of the planned 4. Greece: It appears govt is in cahoots w Merkel; at any rate no contract. Macedonia says no pipe w/o EU permission. Serbia lives under threat of a Greater Albania. Russia began negotiating in June w Ukraine regarding continued transit to Europe after 2019.
Further details via 3 stories on Niqnaq today, the most detailed Vzglyad, Jul 2015. Of course it’s always possible something will happen. . . .
If there are no pipes to EU then there will be no gas to EU and they will either freeze or it will cost an arm and leg. They will be hurt worse than Russia, much like with the other sanctions, and Russia will turn eastwards even further.
Niqnaq and el-Murid do not feel like neutral observers in things. In any case, is all this really bad news? The EU may be committing suicide with lots of US help. Perhaps Russia will cut off the gas through the Ukraine and only turn it back on when European countries come to terms regarding the war and future of that country. Besides, many European countries have been waiting and lying low when it comes to Russian gas. The closer we get to 2020, the more they are going to pressure Brussels.
Not saying things are all wonderful, but this is an epic struggle going on, and it was clear from the start that it was going to be very difficult for Russia to get a southern pipeline through. It was also clear, however, that the EU was risking the entire collapse of the EU if they prevented it. There is a reason Russia has been so understanding of European abusiveness, and that is that they are assuming people are not suicidal. A lot of those countries couldn’t use LNG if they tried.
Not Niqnaq’s opinion; he’s mostly a news aggregator of Russian sources. Not el Murid either. I told you: It’s Vzglyad Jul 2015.
Forgive me, but all your news seems very out of date. Turk Stream doesn’t matter any more. The agreement to double the existing pipelines direct from Russia to Germany cements the future gas supply for Europe, with Germany as energy broker.
Turkey and the Balkans can play, or not, as the winds shift. But none of that Black-Sea-to-Europe route can really ever be called “dead” – it’s far too tasty a treat not to salivate over, and many dogs are simply lying low.
And as for Russia and Ukraine talking about continued trans-shipment after 2019 – what part of “never – not even if the sun and moon change places” do your sources not understand?
The news is much more good than bad, friend Penelope. Take heart :)
Grieved, Nordstream II is for Northern Europe & Britain. Plus I think Russia gets to use only half the capacity of the pipe– not positive about that. As it stands now, if Russia wants to sell to southern Europe it has to be thru Ukraine, which is why she started negotiations.
Like you, I hope there is a change in future.
Couldn’t resist taking time to look. Here is link – at least one. As you see, it’s all Porky who is doing the talking. Think they have Gazprom in a bind.
http://sputniknews.com/business/20150707/1024319992.html
I suspect Turkish game playing over “Turkstream” is of little concern to Russia now. The Turks are in a process of self destruction following their zionazi/nazi overlords instructions. The country is not long of this world as it is, so dealing with them now is mainly laying the groundwork for the successor state to work with once the region stabilises. My feeling is the Russians have contacts in Turkey who will be friendly once the current zionazi/nazi regime there is dissolved, and it is these the Russians are working with, behind the scenes mostly, to create these projects. The Russians, as usual, are taking the long view.
” Russia began negotiating in June w Ukraine regarding continued transit to Europe after 2019. ”
Not what I read today. I’d try to find the article, but late and I’m tired. What I read was Russia mentioned up to 2019 and it was Uk saying they would be getting gas after 2019. I did wonder why they said that.
Penelope: Do you really think that poro****ko & yats*** will be in power this time next year? I would say that both the USA and Russia are looking at who their successors are.
Raskolnikova, thank you. I enjoyed the French senators America-get-out remarks. Here’s another one– from Austria:
7/2/15 NATO expands in Europe not to defend itself but to attack Russia, the leader of the Austrian EU-Austrittspartei (EU Exit Party), Robert Marschall told Sputnik on Friday.
“Our position is that we want American soldiers out of Europe,” Marschall stressed.
Marschall also believes that Austria needs to stay politically and military neutral under its constitution, that is why the country wants to leave the European Union.

Translation of the ARMS SALE story
Ukraine exported more than 60 pieces of military equipment, as well as small arms, artillery and MANPADS. Deliveries were carried out mainly in Nigeria, Ethiopia, Thailand, Croatia and Belarus. Total has sold 23 tanks, 27 armored vehicles, six combat aircraft, attack helicopters, eight, six large caliber artillery systems, a warship, and 18 rocket launchers. In addition, one of the BTR-4 was sold in the United States. In Nigeria and exported six large caliber artillery systems D-30 and two Mi-24V. Croatia received five combat aircraft MiG-29, Belarus – six combat helicopters Mi-8. In addition, the results of 2014, Ukraine exported more than 30 thousand units of small arms, light weapons and man-portable air defense systems.
Some of it must have been on order already. (We know they had tanks being refurbished for Congo which they kept for their own use. Wonder if they gave back Congo’s money?).
The MIGs and helicopters make sense. They’d have nobody able to fly the MIGs which had been based in Crimea, in bad condition, and possibly the pilots swit6ched sides. The choppers they’re not game to use. That leaves them still 2 or 3 SU-25s and aircrew for them.
The warship can’t have been a very big one. There are a dozen or more smaller ships and boats still around, in Crimea, which I saw on some Russian site last week Russia is planning to give back to them soonish.
They had to go; not compatible with NATO kit…

Doesn’t he – a Jew – and some other Jews (incorrectly) think of part of Ukraine as the second homeland/Israel?
Apparently not if you look at facts. rather then politcorrect info fodder.
7)US Will Pay Salaries to Saakashvili Team
Not really a surprise and should be translated as “Saakashvili is back on US payroll”.
I wonder if he’s getting more for ruining Ukraine then what he received for Georgia?
GAS: what is the Eu worried about? Slovakia at least and maybe Poland are prepared to sell reverse gas to Ukraine, so they don’t have to siphon. Yet.
For anyone who doesn’t understand how say Slovakia can sell Russian gas to Ukraine for less than they buy it for…. (Ukraine saying they can get it cheaper there). Ukraine buys its own gas at the Russian border. Other countries buy for the same price but Ukraine is paid a transit fee for it crossing their country. They collect this transit fee even if the gas goes a just a little bit into another country and comes back to them. The 2 countries then split the transit fee. This is against all their contracts of course, as it is a fraud against Gazprom, but they can’t physically stop it.
Coal: someone says $2 million? someone is trying to steal it then, if they need it for getting a ship. Doesn’t Yats realise they are consistently buying DONBASS coal? and may continue to do so all winter if they stop shooting so much? what does he think they are using now?
Ahhh… ” However, Ukraine has continued to purchase coal from Africa. The need to import coal from South Africa and Russia, caused by the civil war waged by Kiev against Donbass, where most of the coal mines.” the story goes on. Well then someone is already making an illegal fortune, because that “African and Russian” coal is all from Donbass, but at import prices.
Thanks, R.

“The article by Andrew E. Kramer reports that there are now three Islamic battalions “deployed to the hottest zones,” such as around the port city of Mariupol. One of the battalions is headed by a former Chechen warlord who goes by the name “Muslim,” Kramer wrote, adding:
“The Chechen commands the Sheikh Mansur group, named for an 18th-century Chechen resistance figure. It is subordinate to the nationalist Right Sector, a Ukrainian militia. … Right Sector … formed during last year’s street protests in Kiev from a half-dozen fringe Ukrainian nationalist groups like White Hammer and the Trident of Stepan Bandera.
“Another, the Azov group, is openly neo-Nazi, using the ‘Wolf’s Hook’ symbol associated with the [Nazi] SS. Without addressing the issue of the Nazi symbol, the Chechen said he got along well with the nationalists because, like him, they loved their homeland and hated the Russians.”

In particular, the head of the unrecognized republic Yevgeny Shevchuk received the Ambassador at his residence. They are built on the lines of association “Eurasian integration”.
Also, Yevgeny Shevchuk, and Farid Mukhametshin discussed the further implementation of this project in the plan which includes the construction of schools, hospitals and a new building State University. “Moldova suddenly made a move that undermined the plans of Ukrainian authorities in regard to Transnistria. As it was widely reported, Ukraine lately has been actively reinforcing its borders with Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and deployed troops in the area in the attempt to escalate the situation in the region.
Vice-Prime-Minister of Moldova in the issues of reintegration Viktor Orlov in the course of negotiations with the Vice-Prime-Minister of the RF government Dmitriy Rogozin claimed that the Moldavian side is getting ready to provide its aid in supplying of Russian troops stationed in Transnistria, and also in rotation of the personnel.
In followup of the talks Viktor Osipov held a press-conference, at which he made a series of important statements. The key concept the Moldavia representative tried to confer was the unwillingness of the official Chișinău to escalate the situation in Transnistria. “Chișinău has no resource to play a war game”, – Osipov concluded.”

addendum
MOSCOW, July 8. /TASS/. Stagnation of negotiations on peace settlement in Moldova’s much-troubled independence-minded Transdniestria (Dniester) region in the 5+1 format causes big concern in Russia, Ambassador at Large Sergei Gubarev said on Wednesday.
He represents Russia at the permanent meeting for political issues in the format of the Transdniestria peace settlement process.
“Only two conferences instead of the five or six, which the parties had agreed on, were held in 2014, and they didn’t manage to hold a single official meeting from January through to June 2015,” Gubarev said. “The prime cause of the situation is the continuing deterioration of dialogue between Moldova’s government and Transdniestrian authorities.”
“But international mediators should have a say in rectifying the situation,” he said.
“We’re working actively both with the parties (to the Transdniestrian conflict – TASS) and with the mediators,” Gubarev said. “We think the pause (in the talks) should get dragged out, as the resumption of the process in 2011 after a break of six years was too costly for everyone.”.
addendum to addendum
TIRASPOL, July 7. /TASS/. Moldova’s and Ukraine’s authorities are only aggravating the crisis in the unrecognized republic of Transdniestria, Transdniestria’s Foreign Minister Nina Shtanski said on Tuesday at a meeting with Radojko Bogojevic, the special envoy of the Chairperson-in-Office of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) for the Trans-Dniester settlement.
“I must say that the activities of the Moldovan and Ukrainian authorities, regrettably, continue to aggravate the crisis in Transdniestria,” she said.
“This year, trade with Moldova dropped by 24%,” she cited statistics. “Transdniestria’s aggregate exports in this period slumped by $75 million. A slump in imports reached $170 million. Transdniestrian companies engaged in foreign economic activities are facing grave logistics problems, being forced to reorient trade flows from traditional routes to those that are not economically advantageous.”
“Rhetoric of our Moldovan partners is becoming more and more combative, unfriendly and simply hostile. They continue to open criminal cases, the number of which is growing every week. Criminal proceedings are being launched not only against officials but also against businessmen who are engaged in trade with neighboring countries,” Shtanski said.
Bogojevic, in turn, said he was keeping a close eye on the development of the situation and reassured that he understood Transdniestria’s concerns. He said he was tasked to bring to the parties in the negotiating process on the Transdniestrian settlement a message from the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic that Serbia, as a country presiding in the OSCE, was committed to the continuation of dialogue in an effort to find a political solution, the only right solution to any conflict.

What to think about this?:

Kiev said Tuesday that Russia had cut off electricity to Ukraine’s rebel-run regions in what appears to be another sign that Moscow is losing interest in plans to splinter its neighbour.
[]
Ukraine’s Energy Minister Volodymyr Demchyshyn said Tuesday that energy-rich Russia had recently also stopped supplying electricity to the militia-run regions of Lugansk and Donetsk because bills were not being paid.
Has anyone info about possible electricity supply to donbass cut from russia?
Regarding item #1, one wonders how the Ukro-trash would react if they were to be called “Russians” henceforth and their silly joke of a country duly to be called “Russia”. I have a sneaky feeling they might not feel, well, elated exactly but that’s just me.
QUESTION: How many Eastern European “nationalistic” Russophobes does it take to change a lightbulb?
ANSWER: Can’t be done. As soon as the light goes out, they’ll scream, rage, and fume blaming the darkness on Russia.
Serious question : What Ukro “statehood” ??
