You probably have not heard about that, but the Junta in Kiev has officially declared that it plans to suspend the European Convention on Human Rights in Novorussia. Of course, considering that Poroshenko has also declared that he is ready for ‘total war’ with Russia, this is hardly surprising, and it’s not like the Ukrainian death squads have ever let any kind of human rights stand in the way of their atrocities against the civilian population of the Donbass. As for Poroshenko, he appears to be practicing for the upcoming ‘total war’ against Russia by waging a ‘total war’ against his own people. Here is, in his own words, how he plans to win the war against “these people”:
So the plan is clear: total ethnic cleansing of Novorussia, if needed by means of a total economic blockade and/or a new military offensive.
In the meantime, Human Rights Watch is seriously publishing reports about human rights violations in Crimea, I kid you not. You got to love these noble humanitarians…
The Ukrainian slogan was “Ukraine is Europe”. I think that it is time to reverse that slogan. In terms of hypocrisy, corruption, immorality, cowardice and sheer stupidity it is Europe which has become like the Ukraine, not the other way around.

The speech in the video, when and where did it take place?
The man is a mad man. He really does not care one jot about Ukraine and is doing his masters bidding.
Russia better open the taps all the way and not stop until Keiv is taken this time. The West does not play by any rules. If they don’t, Russia deserve to be humiliated.
And it is a shame they haven’t armed Syria a lot better. The way things are going Syria will fall and with it the Russian naval base.
Maybe HRW will sponsor a trip for Angelina Jolie, hollywoods humanitarian, to visit Ukraine and talk about human rights, like she did in BAHZnia.

Putin shakes hands with Aussie motorcycle cops and Aussie guards/police.
It’s cute how they all want to take a picture with him.
They can’t do anything?
They beat the ff-ing crap out of your army, Mr ‘Nuland shooed me and my buddy Yats into our current positions as PM and… errr… whatever Yats does’ Poroshenko.
Guess the IMF loan’s almost evaporated by now, so, yes, let’s act like ff-ing Mussolini.
Tough talking vegetarians, what else is new?

I wonder if the EU truly believes in these announcements. This is pure hypocrisy given the statements of Poroschenko.
EU to launch Advisory Mission for Civilian Security Sector Reform in Ukraine on 1 December, signs agreement with Ukraine
http://www.consilium.europa.eu/uedocs/cms_Data/docs/pressdata/EN/foraff/145774.pdf
“The mission will assist the Ukrainian authorities in the field of civilian security sector reform, including police and rule of law. … The respect for human rights, the fight against corruption and gender issues will feature on the mission’s agenda across its different fields of action. … For the first 12 months, the mission will have a budget of €13.1 million available.”
One sees signs that the rank-and-file Ukrainian is having “buyers” remorse.
While true they didn’t buy into the coup, they did acquiesce to promises of unlimited Western funding and emigration (both of which were empty promises).
Is the NWO banking on oil never rising in price again? Fat chance.
Saker mentions corruption in Ukraine. Well as much as the West criticizes corruption in Russia, Ukraine is woes. Transparency International ranks Ukraine 144 out of 177 on corruption scale. Even most African countries have a better score. There may have been a revolution, but the oligarchs are still running the show.
This is finally so extreme that I wonder if Western control of the media can contain it. I guess the US is going for broke to make Russia enter the war.
Porky is also doing pretty extreme things regarding his own energy supplies:
-“Ukrainian heat stations will have to pay $110 per a ton of coal,” the party said in a statement made public on Tuesday. “The price is really fantastic – thrice as high as the market price and twice as high as the price for Ukrainian coal!”
http://en.itar-tass.com/economy/759301
-Also they’ve passed a law that enterprises can buy gas only from Naftogax, driving the local gas producers out of business. But Naftogas says there’s no money to buy gas from Russia; they’ll be getting what they need by reverse flow. I guess that means they’ll go back to stealing it from the gas that’s on its way to Europe.
Porky talks about conservation, so they’ll be freezing people.
SAM: The Speech took pace in Odessa (I think at the opera house) 12 hours ago. You can find the reference on English Itar-TASS.
DANIEL RICH: About the evaporating IMF money, it’s hilarious:
http://bsnews.info/losing-credibility-imfs-new-cold-war-loan-ukraine/
Catherine Ashton’s been replaced & the new Foreign Affairs said to be more pro-Russian:
“Fredericia Mogherini, reiterated that the EU’s policy of sanctions against the Russian Federation over Ukraine were ineffective and would not work on their own. Mogherini stressed that any sanctions against Russia should be accompanied by parallel reforms in Ukraine. Both nsnbc editor-in-chief and analyst Christof Lehmann and the U.S. historian Webster G. Tarpley noted that Mogherini is more pro-Russian than her predecessor”
I personally have my doubts. I think all the ups & downs in EU relations are to prevent Russia’s developing a consistent counter-policy. Story’s on nsnbc.
@ Penelope,
Thnx for The Link. It puts everything neatly into perspective.
It reminds me of the headline “Japan’s Slip Into Surprise Recession.” After the 3% tax hike per 1 April, 2014, by the end of that month, roughly 40% of my revenue [year over year] had gone AWOL and it hasn’t come back ever since.
The Ukraine is likewise being driven into the ground, so the 0,1% can live lavish lives and the ‘paupers,’ well, they’ve got little gardens, don’t they?
Moechted ihr den totalen Krieg?
Do you want the TOTAL WAR?
A term used by Hitler.
Promising for Novorussiya children to cower in basements?
I am reading this in The Netherlands, an Orwellian Big brother society where we are micro managed and are all soon to be chipped.
I am immigrating to Russia before there is a wall to keep me here.
The economy is collapsing fast here in The Netherlands and poverty is appearing all around us in this sick society.
I am left stunned at how fast Europe is sinking into a deep swamp of dictatorship and mental instability.
Poroshenko does not speak -it is the anglos behind nato which are speaking against russia.
so stupid is Russia that it pleads with same anglos and NATO and EU to make Ukraine see the ways?
really the same NATO which has deliberately created coupe and destabilization against Russia!
it defies logic to see how morons are the leaders of Russia.
I posted excerpts from that speech a lot more than 12 hours ago. It must be a standard stump speech. All the worse. As I said earlier, I can’t believe there’s political mileage to be gotten from “Our children will go to school; their children will hide in the cellars.”
For one thing, it is a confession to ethnic cleansing. “That’s how we will win this war.” So much for any defense that school shellings with banned weapons are accidental. Maybe crazy explains it. It would make sense, though, if Poroshenko needs the Nazis for control of the Rada, or if he is growing very afraid of them.
Here’s some cheery news about Poroshenko’s chances of doing anything at all, from a piece in Salon.
“As to the Ukrainian economy, this is getting sordid even before the International Monetary Fund gets its mitts on the place. A Royal Bank of Scotland analyst in Hong Kong, Roland Hinterkoerner, just published a tour d’horizon, a few of the highlights (or lowlights) being these:
With the Russian ruble cratering, Kiev recently had to remove a currency peg of 13 hryvnia to the dollar. It dropped 15 percent in the next five trading sessions. From a rate of 8 to 1 a year ago, it now cost 16 hryvnia to buy a dollar.
With the banking system in peril, a third of deposits had been withdrawn—before the currency collapsed, this is. “There is no way to repair this damage by doing some kind of recapitalization exercise that may still work in the eurozone,” the RBS man writes.
Efforts to stem the hryvnia’s fall have dangerously depleted foreign currency reserves. As of October, the central bank had $12.6 billion dollars in assets—taxi fare in the context.
Ukraine owes Russia $1.6 billion in gas bills by yearend—and then faces fees of $700 million a month for new supplies.
The Ukrainian automobile association, to burrow in slightly, just reported that new car registrations fell by 65 percent in October from the previous year, to 5,900 units—this in a nation of 46 million. The No. 1 producer, Saporisky Awtomobilebudiwny Sawod, turned out 1,007 vehicles. It has 21,000 employees on the payroll.
Dear Saker,
Simple facts. (1) The ZioFascists in Kiev are about to outright genocide in Novorussia, and are not at all secretive about it, while the Anglo-Zionist Empire is bestowing its blessing upon the plan. (2) Putin says that Russia will not allow the genocide to happen.
So, what follows?
“Russia will not allow” could mean only one thing: Russian direct military intervention in Novorussia. But if that is so, it means that the Anglo-Zionist Empire’s original aim will be achieved: Russia will be drawn into a messy war, thus opening up a vista of opportunities for their planned plunder and destruction of Russia. … Or, am I reading all this incorrectly? I do sincerely hope that I am.
***
P.S. Apropos of the nature of the beast behind all this … see a remarkable historical analysis at http://www.voltairenet.org/article184973.html (in eleven world languages – plus now in Serbian, at http://www.thesakersrpski.rs/2014/11/16/тјери-мејсан-ко-је-непријатељ/ )
Upcoming news on the side of the Anglo-Zionists.
Byelection in Rochester, UK this Thursday (November 20, 2014) – likely to result in a victory for UKIP, which will pile further pressure on UK PM David Cameron and his likely to lead to further defections to UKIP from the Tories, and perhaps even from Labour in coming weeks.
I would not be the least bit surprised to see the trickle to UKIP continue next week or in December.
Some good news – Mr. Rompuy Pompuy is on the way out next week being his last.
The bad news is Rompuy Pompuy is being replaced by Donald Tusk (Poland). As such, you can expect the anti-Russian rhetoric to re-escalate in December when Tusk takes charge.
Swiss Gold Referendum next week (November 30). Likely to be “won” by the Anglo-Zionists – but who knows, maybe there could be a surprise.
If there is a surprise victory for gold, this will strike a blow against the fiat money policies of the US/EU/Japan, and a victory for those advocating sound money – ie Russia & China.
Interesting week ahead. And will Ukraine launch another offensive? It seems they half are at the minute.
The Ukrainian authorities are preparing a full-scale project, which aims at rehabilitation and psychological support, security officials, who managed to return to the battlefields of Donbass home.
According to doctors, it is necessary to carry out the relevant work, as 8 out of ten returnees suffer the so-called “Donbass syndrome.” Experts note that this disease differs from similar manifestations of the military returning from Chechnya and Afghanistan at the time.
Some manifestations are similar, so most of the soldiers to lose interest in life, constantly wake up from nightmares. Even while serving more than half the soldiers begin to abuse alcohol and drugs. About one-third had attempted suicide, for this reason, enter the psychiatric ward. Siloviki home continues to frighten loud noises, bright flashes of light, they seek shelter, shaking. This kind of manifestations take place, despite the fact that the Ukrainians understand that no attacks, just such as thunder, but keep yourself in hand, they can not.
Experts note that the reaction helps to survive in combat remain with former soldiers, they are very difficult to get rid of. Such severe symptoms as the same desire for suicide and loss of interest in life – it’s not just the effects of hostilities, but also an understanding that the defenders of the Motherland were betrayed by their own leadership. Lack of support and supply brings a feeling of uselessness, soldiers feel betrayed, in combat conditions it develops into a more serious mental problems.
Rehabilitation experts say is needed, otherwise the tens of thousands of soldiers returning from the front, can start to shoot at peaceful people, many just kill themselves.

No mention of guilt.
For ‘revolving-door cronysim’ look at the remarkable career of former HRW director Tom Malinowski ( http://www.state.gov/r/pa/ei/biog/224368.htm ; http://www.voltairenet.org/article183898.html )! The year before his appointment as director at HRW, Malinowski was a leading official at the National Security Agency, no less. Perhaps at HRW he rose from the basement to the top floor in just 12 months (no doubt, proof of his remarkable abilities)! He had previously been a close collaborator of President Clinton and a speechwriter for Secretaries of State Warren Christopher and Madeleine Albright (of 500,000 children fame). Now, having left this post, he is Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights and Labor for the Obama administration. Malinowski clearly left HRW in safe hands.

Commenters here are as I have experienced well informed on what is going on in the world. One of the eye openers for me in search of political awareness, was a lecture by Dr. Rath about the nazi roots of the EU. So the nazification of the countries where EU involvement is taking place makes sense if you know his work. I like to share this information with you who might not know this.

Oh GOODIE. they can start with the GENDER ISSUE of routine RAPE, often perpetrated by members of the same storm trooper forces who are the OFFICIAL POLICE in the capital district.
Russia has just declared Right Sector and UNA-UNSO extremist organisations, and, as such, banned them in Russia.

“Ukrainian heat stations will have to pay $110 per a ton of coal,” the party said in a statement made public on Tuesday. “The price is really fantastic – thrice as high as the market price and twice as high as the price for Ukrainian coal!”
http://en.itar-tass.com/economy/759301
You accidentally linked to related gas story. This is the coal one, opposition complaining they spent too much on the South African coal.
http://en.itar-tass.com/economy/759216
All the other low prices mentioned are theories only. $54 a ton from Krasnoarmeisk ? ahhh that name sounds familiar. That’s where the raped tied-up women’s bodies were found in common graves. All the coalmines there fairly shelled to bits , no cheap coal there. There is $35 coal in Russia? they want cash up front and that’s the wrong quality to burn in the power stationz.
Another decree of Poroshenko’s (I’ve posted it elsewhere) is that everyone will have to PREPAY for their gas and electricity. Donbass area of course will have higher prices. How he’ll enforce this, when pretty much anywhere in the country, anyone who comes to turn off the power will get shot, I don’t know. To complicate matters he will close any company that is bankrupt, which of course all the power supply companies will be,when he demands money from them but they can’t get any from the customers. Not like he’s paying people’s PENSIONS.
@ Sam (AntiNWO)
The speech was made in Odessa a few days before the October election, but just surfaced on the weekend. Oddly enough he did not get a lot of votes in Odessa, even not a lot of people turned up to vote.
I hardly know why we bother with these items, as we already all know he’s planning ethnic cleansing, we don’t need further convincing. It’s just incredible how open they are about it and how everyone’s been brainwashed into thinking it’s ok. ALL their woes are caused by the “Russians”. Ukrainian TV show nothing from Russia at all, government versions only. Out of 3, one TV channel belongs to Poroshenko and one to I think Kolomoisky?
I’m hoping that Poroshenko and his family will pay dearly for the atrocities he is waging.
Context is always important as is audience.
Armed roberries are increasing especially in Kiev, largely targetting owners of high value cars for the moment. Previously the prime activities had been burglaries of apartments.
The targetting is moving up the social scale.
The method of robbing cars is also illuminating – primarily using trucks to block off smaller streets and on present information taking between 1 to 2 minutes to achieve the action. No gendamerie are intervening.
The methodology and time to perform suggest non-professionals, and hypotheses to test on participants include deserters and/or gendamerie.
The narod have been/are being consistently told that patience is required but conditions are consistently deteriorating as is belief.
The speech is over-extension necessitated by context and audience.
Realisation of the content of the speech is subject to the action of others.
The speech is an indication that lateral strategies are effective.
Not criticizing, Penelope, there’s something odd here
That video had to be October 23, last time Poroshenko was in Odessa. It’s a meeting/speech at the Opera House there. They must not be too proud of it if it’s taken this long to surface. Or the release is timed for a reason.
There is a LOT of old stuff suddenly popping up, all the Mariupol rape/shooting atrocity stories are months old too, being posted as brand new. Some weird propaganda of some sort? provoocation? Sadly these days we need triple check everything. ESPECIALLY if we hear of something especially worse than usual.
Human Rights Watch is, of course, a George Soros project. It pushes the Soros political agenda, that is its only purpose.
Penelope:
We can make sure it is not contained. We need a translated transcript and the commitment to post it on every English language forum we belong to or can register with. Australia. New Zealand. Washington Post. Rolling Stone, BBC.
Why is our government helping Ukraine commit genocide?
With it we need a succinct backgrounder on the use of cluster ammunition on the schools. Perhaps the HRW report or press release.
Then we include a few talking points.
Notice that the issue is not “Russian-speakers’ language rights,” the issue is genocide.
Notice that Nazi beliefs are riding high in Ukraine, not merely lurking among fringe groups.
Notice that Putin and the insurgents have told you the truth all along.
Notice that there has never been a ceasefire; the insurgency has gone on the offensive after waiting three months for a ceasefire to occur. Instead they are told their blasted schools and dead children are ongoing policy and the Ukrainian government’s plan for their future is exile or death.
Sensationally, we now know Poland, USA and France, three NATO countries, have recently violated Swedish air space and Russia did the same. That we get to know about the incidents is a very, very, strong signal reminiscent of WW2 and the Cold War, when neutrality was a must for survival. The new socialdemocratic government has said no to NATO membership and releases the sort of sensitive information Carl Bildt would have kept hidden [he works for Soros now, of course he does]. Sweden positions itself in a time of rapidly deteriorating international security by telling us what NATO does and that tells us how bad the situation has become. The good thing is Sweden looks more like a neutral country than under the former government. The bad thing are the growing tensions that caused the turn.

How does Porky plan on paying for all this for “his people”? The only area that actually has any value are the areas in the eastern Ukraine, sorry, Novorussia.
He has absolutely zero chance… the only value to his masters at the US/EU is to keep Ukie-land intact with the natural resources of the East, and that’s not going to happen. Good luck Porky.
Some realistic views from an unlikely but pragmatic source: Kissinger, former Sec of State In an interview with der Spiegel
We need a new World Order:
Ukraine should forget Crimea and NATO
Former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger spoke about global threats, the secession of Crimea and Ukraine’s NATO accession
Mr. Kissinger said that there currently is an urgent need for a new world order, but its coming into being will be long and complicated.
“There are no universally accepted rules,” said Mr. Kissinger in an interview with the German magazine Der Spiegel. “There is the Chinese view, the Islamic view, the Western view and, to some extent, the Russian view. And they really are not always compatible.”
Speaking of Crimea’s accession to Russia, he noted that this is a special case, as Ukraine and Russia were one country for a long time. In his view, the West must recognize its mistakes.
“Europe and America did not understand the impact of these events, starting with the negotiations about Ukraine’s economic relations with the European Union and culminating in the demonstrations in Kiev,” said Mr. Kissinger. “All these, and their impact, should have been the subject of a dialogue with Russia.”
= = = = =
Who will listen? Unfortunately not any of the tantrum babies posing as leaders in the west.
AFTERTHOPUGHT said “Is the NWO banking on oil never rising in price again? Fat chance.”
I was thinking, Afterthought, one of the consequences of US keeping oil price low via their deal w the Saudis is that there will be fewer petrodollars available for the Saudis to invest in US treasuries and US stock mkt, US & London banks. According to Wm Engdahl’s book Gods of Money the US proposition that Saudis & Iran raise oil prices back in the 70s was tied to their investing in US/UK, etc. Will the reduced investment affect the Empire? Or, how about the reduced demand for dollars globally– since nations will need fewer in order to buy oil?
!!!Wow!!!
It´s getting crazier by the minute now. It seems like the Ukies are going full retard and are getting really desperate.
Because today Dutch media report that the Ukrainian secret service, SBU,claimed to have prevented a terrorist attack on a Dutch delegation, including the Dutch minister of Foreign Affairs, according to the head of the SBU, Nalyvaichenko.
Nalyvaichenko claims that they have arrested members of a terrorist group who have been trained by the Russian FSB. He even says that the Russians had given the order to attack the the Dutch delegation!
So according to the Ukies the Russians not only shot down the plane but they also organized a terrorist attack on the Dutch minister of Foreign Affairs when he visited their ‘glorious’ Ukrain/Banderastan/Heimat.
The Dutch delegation paid a visit to the tank factory in Karkov in november, because that is the place where bodyparts from the MH17 are being held before they go to the Netherlands. (Maybe they checked out those new Ukie tanks as well. Wonderful!)
This is pretty serious. Everything is being done to destroy the political relationship between my country and Russia. Remember that the Netherlands had a good relationship with Russia before al this bullshit. Together with Germany I would say the strongest relationship of all Western countries. A lot of trade between our nations and during the Olympics in Sochi we send a strong delegation, including our king and queen, to Russia. All other western countries decided to spit Russia and Putin in the face by sending a nobody to the opening ceremony. Putin and king Willem-Alexander even had a beer together in Sochi. Everything was fine. Well, until a plane full of Dutch people was shot out of the air by ‘Russian seperatists’. Coincidence, right?
Fire Station: What happened?
We did not know at the time, Nov. 10, that Givi was planning an offense against Avdeyevka but we found out. For this reason he took the Fire Station on the 10th, because a spotter there could watch both the road to Peski and the movement of men and materiel in Avdeyevka.
Possibly because they figured this out, or possibly out of pique, the National Guard threw everything they had at it for successive days, finally degrading the structure so much that a wall collapsed, causing the casualties.
On the self-declared “Secret Forum” Strelkov blames the loss of the station and tower on the “stupidity and vanity” of Givi for taking press to the site and letting it be shown on TV. “The rockets went straight for the site.”
Are the National Guard supposed to have held the building for five months without knowing where they were? Can you get coordinates off a video?
Strelkov is losing it. His plans for running for the Duma have been put on hold. Despite a media blitz, polls show only 20% have heard of him, and of those, only 40% had a “somewhat favourable” impression, making 8% of the electorate who have heard of him and have a lukewarm favourable impression. This in spite of him wrapping himself in the Novorussian flag, which is motherhood and apple pie in Russia.
Kat Kan, do you really not know the problem with Strelkov? Can we talk off the board? I’m trying to strip the gilt off the legend first.
Good catch , CASSANDRA, Porky visited Odessa on 10/23. I wd guess that Russian media delayed reporting the speech and Russian’s response til after APEC & G20.
Sputnik: “Visiting Odessa on October 23, Poroshenko also brushed off criticism that the city had become home to the Banderites, telling the crowd that “I consider there to be no higher complement for Odessa,” local media quoted him as saying.”
KAT KAN: The complaint is not that Ukraine paid too much for the S African coal. In fact, there was a scandal that it wasn’t paid for at all! Rather they are complaining that the 3 times normal price indicates corruption by Ukie’s energy minister– par for the course. He was summoned to the prosecutor general, so probably will have to share his ill-gotten gains.
Anonymous Netherlands: Thank you for telling us about the latest false flag. I’m just glad no one was hurt.
Please give yourself a nickname in posting: Just go down to where it says Name/URL & enter a name; you DON’T have to enter a URL.
Thanks again for the false flag post; I suppose they will make a big deal out of it. Regards
INGRID: Thank you for the links showing the evil roots of the EU.
James Corbett of Corbett Reports did an unusual backgrounder of the Bilderbergers in which he shows the impetus for EU to have come from Bilderberg as the 4th Reich. The whole video is interesting, but the EU part starts at 25. Regards.
CASSANDRA: From your post it wd appear Strelkov was saying that if you feature something on TV it will become a target– for PR reasons, not naviational ones.
It does sound as if Strelkov’s criticisms ought not to have been public– if at all. Likely Givi realized his mistake.
@ Petar,
Q: Or, am I reading all this incorrectly? I do sincerely hope that I am.
R: If I’d be able to read tea leaves [or anything else for that matter] I’d be sipping something delicious on my yacht somewhere near a very tropical island with ah handful of stunningly beautiful…
OK, let’s not get carried away here. Every school has at least one bully. So, unca Sammy roams around this rock as if it’s all his. Pivot here, pivot there, pivots everywhere. Overthrow a government here, start a color revolution there, create mayhem everywhere.
Cut in Russia. Russia says, “You see this line I’ve drawn in the sand, right here [ Novorossiya]? Great. Now, if you set one foot or even wriggle as much as your toenail over it, I’ll be very upset…”
The NR forces beat the living daylights out of the KFK army, almost the same way the RF beat back the Georgian invaders [August, 2008]. Although the Russians even shot down their own planes [not fog of war, bad command structure, etc.] the Russian Army has been streamlined to such an extent that Crimea fell without a single shot being fired.
Unca Sammy [and its vegetarian cronies never] pick/s a fight they know they’ll lose. Hence the proxy fighting, in which the vegetarian leader and his vegetarian comrade send meat eaters out to fight and die and a small portion of the MIC gets even richer.
The British withdrawal from Helmand Province {Afghanistan] looked like the exit of Unca Sammy’s forces, back in Nam [1972].
So, yeah, the old empires are dying, but it’s not them I’m concerned/worried about, it’s the 0,01% that steer events. that keep on my toes.
@ Cassandra,
Q: Can you get coordinates off a video?
R: Yes, you can. Ask those who know [architects/engineers/geologists/archeologists] to study either the roads, buildings or surroundings and you’ll know why Osama bin Laden nearly got killed after his video message was broadcast by MSM. They studied the rock formations behind him.
Ever since that time, he sat in front of a blanket [Boko Harim’s ‘leader’ does the same] until he died.
@ Cassandra
Kat Kan, do you really not know the problem with Strelkov? Can we talk off the board? I’m trying to strip the gilt off the legend first.
I have a Facebook which has messages and chat. Put what times you’re awake (in UTC perhaps).
VIDEO LOCATIONS
Lots of images in this war have been geo-located by lining up landmarks (even just distinctive trees) and finding them on Google Earth. Very easy to do if you have a starting point,ie some rough idea what part of the country to look.
But totally unnecessary with the airport. Both sides know exactly where all the buildings are. Both sides can easily tell where the others are by WHERE THEY ARE SHOOTING FROM. Ukies did no need video to know Givi’s people were in the fire station — they had already shot off Givi’s flag from it twice. And lost 5 or 6 APCs to fire from that station.
In the next airport video, someone jokingly says “don’t film the launcher” someone else says ” yeah they might find out” and “yeah” and “don’t film it”. Then they let off 8 shells from it (filmed). Ukies must have waited 18 hours for the video to come out, to found out where they’re being shelled from.
Both sides have been using the airport as the symbol of the struggle. Ukie side MEDIA invented the “Cyborg” name for their side of that battle, and those groups went and got Cyborg patches and graffiti on their tanks afterwards.
Strelkov was just using the loss of a lot of good men as a chance to take a dig at a commander who backs his old rival/whatever, Zakh. A rather cheap shot.

presumably announcement of withdrawal European Convention of Rights could further justify any actions Rus might feel obliged to take……Mariupol still hotting up, and Kharkiv?
German mp says Crimea should be recognised, Lavrov seems to say because of ukr economic blockade of Donbass this could give rise /legitimacy? to its status as a separate region? Or independance?
I think what Lavrov is getting at is, if they are pulling all services out of Donbass they are abandoning it, no longer treating it as their territory = close to conceding it as independent.
Withdrawing from the Human Rights convention means they feel free to carpet bomb the place, as a way to put down “riot or insurrection”. Moving out their staff makes them feel everyone “good” is out of the area and everyone who stays is a terrorist.
Russia is more likely to continue giving humanitarian aid. NAF can look after themselves fairly well on the military front. Aerial action is the one thing I believe Russia would smack down immediately.
Here is a helper for anyone wishing to throw ethnic cleansing into the information war.
a) Personalize or localize with something like “Why is (your government or our government or name of political leader) supporting ethnic cleansing in Ukraine?
Human Rights Watch has former high-ranked employees of the CIA, the State Dept. and NATO on its board of directors. This is not a secret; it’s a matter of public debate. In spite of this, some people who work in the field sought the job because they do care, and their consciences can be shocked by the facts on the ground.
HRW field workers have reported several cases in resistance-held areas in Ukraine of shelling of civilian targets, including schools and residential neighbourhoods, with internationally banned white phosphorus and cluster ammunition. In all cases where it could be determined, the source of the shelling was the Ukrainian Army. Cynically inserted into the report is the comment that in some cases it is not possible to determine the source of the shelling; maybe in these cases it was the resistance.
Ukraine’s President has announced that the pension payments owed to elderly pensioners whose address is in rebel-held territory will be confiscated by the government.
That is the context in which Poroshenko has explained his strategy for winning the civil war in several televised speeches, including these phrases:
“We will have pensions; they will not.
Our children will go to school; theirs will cower in the cellars.
That’s how we will win this war!”
