Good ol’ RMS! A lot of ‘open source’ people can’t stand him, but he has done more for really free software than anyone else I can think of. Viva Software Libre!

Thanking Richard for coming to Geneva again. He is fluent in French and English and very articulate. People who cannot stand him mostly criticize his person but rarely can challenge his ideas or facts presented.

I consider it an honor to have shared several evenings with him over the years and hope he stays in good health to continue his most commendable efforts.

Proprietary software began its inevitable decline September 8th, 2008, when the London Stock Exchange, running Windows and TradElec crashed. Today, no stock exchange trading software runs on Windows. All trading software is hosted on a variation of Linux.

Consider joining the Free Software Foundation, see https://fsf.org/ ,make a donation, organize a conference, talk about free software to your acquaintances, friends family. Last but not least, try free software for yourself. Enjoy the freedom. Be more productive.

    This computer runs free software.

        Gllp.

Thank you Saker. Makes me feel good :)
(By the way, I apprecied the fact you shared your – disappointing – experience of ProtonMail).

My computers runs probably less than 1% of proprietary software ; this is Lubuntu – with some damn ugly packets.

I hope the Librem 5, a privacy focused smartphone running GNU/Linux succeeds.

    Thanks for the video.

    According to

    https://www.gnu.org/proprietary/malware-microsoft.html

if “you do want to clean your computer of malware, the first software to delete is Windows.”

If you delete Windows from your computer then you might want to install Linux on it.

I’m writing this comment on a computer running Linux, Debian to be exact.
