Paid conspirators found behind riots in Kazakhstan
In Kazakhstan, mass protests provoked by a sharp increase in gas prices do not subside. Protesters in Alama Ata attack the police, smash and seize administrative buildings. A state of emergency has been introduced in several regions, including the capital Nur-Sultan. What is the peculiarity of the local protest and how serious is the threat of the “color revolution”?
Mass protests that broke out earlier this year in the Mangistau region on the border with Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan resumed with renewed vigor in Kazakhstan on Wednesday. The reason was a 100% increase in gas prices for drivers in several regions – from 60 to 120 tenge (up to 20.56 rubles) per liter. The unrest spread to other neighboring regions. In addition to social justice, the protesters demanded the resignation from politics of the first president of the republic, Nursultan Nazarbayev, who is officially assigned the status of Elbasy-the national leader and whose name is the capital of the country.
In the middle of the day, protesters broke into the city hall in Alma-Ata, the southern capital, where cars burned all night and Rosgvardiya employees sprayed tear gas. On the first two floors of the building, a fire broke out, automatic bursts were heard. Law enforcement officers used special equipment. It was also reported about the seizure of military special equipment, which the authorities had previously pulled into the city center. Later, there was information about the arson of the local prosecutor’s office building and the storming of the presidential residence. Hundreds of people applied to the city’s hospitals for medical assistance. As reported byTASS with reference to the local information department of public health of the city, more than a hundred law enforcement officers were among the victims.
A similar scenario was followed in Aktobe, where the Mayor’s Office (akimat) building was also seized by protesters. Attempts to storm akimats were made in Shymkent and Taraz.
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has declared a state of emergency in Nur-Sultan, Almaty, Almaty and Mangistau regions until January 19. The state of emergency involves a curfew from 23.00 to 7.00. In these regions, entry and movement within them are restricted. The Internet temporarily stopped working across the country. Additionally, a ban on mass events and strikes has been introduced, as well as the seizure of weapons and ammunition from the population. The decree of the head of state states that the state of emergency is introduced to ensure public safety, restore law and order, and protect the rights and freedoms of citizens.
In addition, Tokayev dismissed the government, which, according to him, is “particularly guilty” for allowing a protest situation in connection with the increase in prices for liquefied gas. Ministers continue to serve in office until a new Cabinet is appointed. At the same time, the Prosecutor General’s Office and the Antimonopoly Agency were instructed to investigate possible price collusion. In addition, the President conducted state regulation of prices for gas and gasoline and socially significant products for a period of 180 days. The implementation of the fuel e-commerce program has been postponed for a year.
Later in the evening, Tokayev promised to stay in the capital and act”as harshly as possible against offenders during the protests.” Tokayev noted that he will soon come out with a new package of proposals. He also said that during the confrontations in the country, law enforcement officers were killed. According to him, “financially motivated conspirators” are behind the riots.
“Attention is drawn to the high organization of hooliganism elements. This indicates a carefully thought-out plan of action of the conspirators, who are financially motivated. It is the conspirators”,
– said President Tokayev.
Experts believe that a sharp jump in fuel prices was one of the reasons for the beginning of the riots. In general, people have long been dissatisfied with the social policy of the state and the sharp stratification of income between different regions. “The government’s rating is 23%, and in 2017 it was 63%. This is an indicator of inability to work. Such a disapproval rating sooner or later leads to something, ” says Kazakh political analyst Marat Shibutov.
The riots that broke out do not look “spontaneous enough” and could have been organized by someone, the expert suggested. However, whether there were organizers, “the investigation will show.” According to Strana, the protests are being coordinated by opposition leader Mukhtar Ablyazov from his headquarters in Kiev. In the 1990s, he was the Minister of Energy and Trade of Kazakhstan, but went into opposition after a conflict with Nazarbayev. On his Facebook page, Ablyazov, who founded the Democratic Choice of Kazakhstan movement in 2017, called on the protesters to “coordinate actions” and gave their Ukrainian phone numbers for communication.
“On the other hand, we do not see the core of the protest and the issued demands. In other words, there is virtually no one to conduct a dialogue with. So far, there are only mass riots, not rallies. Therefore, only the power measures that are currently being implemented remain, ” Shibutov adds.
However, on Wednesday, the akim (head of administration) Kostanay Kairat Akhmetov went out to the townspeople to listen to their demands. The protesters told him that people were tired of the difficult economic situation in the country.
Shibutov stressed that clashes occur mainly in Alma-Ata and Aktau, so there is no need to talk about the risk of a “color revolution”. “There is no threat of overthrowing the government, there is a threat of pressure through riots. There are no external stakeholders involved. On the contrary, the countries that invested in Kazakhstan may demand stabilization of the situation and their participation in it, ” the expert suggested.
Russia is ready to provide non-military assistance to Kazakhstan, First Deputy Head of the International Affairs Committee of the Federation Council Vladimir Dzhabarov told Interfax. However, the senator believes in the ability of local authorities to handle the situation on their own. “They are actively working to relieve tension in society,” Jabarov said.
According to Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov, Kazakhstan has not yet addressed Moscow. But the Kremlin believes that the country’s authorities will cope with internal problems on their own, and interference from outside is unacceptable.
From an economic point of view, Shibutov explained, the local authorities made a mistake, because in many regions of the country the price of gas for motor vehicles increased gradually.
“A sharp increase in prices was stupid from a technical point of view, but from an economic point of view it was justified, because gas prices are rising. The difference between the domestic and export prices has increased almost five to six times. Here, of course, we had to raise domestic prices, because gas was sold below the cost price, ” the expert stressed.
As Stanislav Pritchin, a senior researcher at the IMEMO RAS Center for Post-Soviet Studies, explained, there are only four refineries in the country, but due to territorial peculiarities, the supply of fuel and lubricants is uneven. As a result, the quality of products and their price are different in each region. “It is difficult to say what was the logic behind the doubling of gas prices, but the fact that the first protests took place in Mangystau region is not accidental, because this is the most active region in political and rally terms. But in general, there is a demand for social justice in the country. Kazakhstan is one of the leaders of the post-Soviet space in terms of development, with oil production approaching 100 million tons per year. But the success model is limited to a narrow group of people who are close to the authorities, the main recipients of funds are Nur-Sultan and Alma-Ata, ” says Pritchin.
The rest of Kazakhstan, the political scientist added, “has an internal protest.” Discontent is caused by low salaries and the level of infrastructure development. The officially issued image does not correspond to the real one. “The demand for social justice has resulted in mass protests,” the source said.
According to the expert, in Alma-Ata, the protest leaders, who initially articulated requests from the street, lost control of the situation, and the seizure of administrative buildings began.
“The protest goes beyond that and looks like a violent seizure of power and looting. In such conditions, it is difficult to conduct a dialogue and negotiate”,
Pritchin is convinced.
As for the prospects for the development of the situation, it is necessary to take into account local specifics. Kazakhstan is the tenth largest country in the world by area, and the population is less than 20 million people. That is why the protests are local in nature. In 2011, strikes of oil workers and mass riots due to social inequality in Zhanaozen, Mangystau region, did not spread to other regions. “Cities are separated by thousands of kilometers. Accordingly, if the protesters can take control of the administration in a certain city, it will be half a victory. All political institutions are concentrated in Nur-Sultan, and there it is not so easy to gather a crowd that could seize state institutions, ” Pritchin is sure.
It is interesting to note the demands of the protestors.
Demands of the Protesters in #Kazakhstan
1. Immediate release of all political prisoners
2. Full resignation of president and government
3. Political reforms:
Creation of a Provisional Government of reputable and public citizens. Withdrawal from all alliances with #Russia pic.twitter.com/wNAi47Mspg— NEXTA (@nexta_tv) January 5, 2022
The “Western partners” are relentless. Time to take the gloves off.
Is FSB and SVR asleep at the wheel again? Ukraine, Belarus, now this…
Sometimes, you let the attacker rush at you, and you throw him to the ground and grind him to submission.
Let the steam out of the “crowds” and get all the leaders and conspirators to surface.
Preventing every move is exhausting and ultimately you will not be ready with your counter moves.
Life in the streets and back alleys is not a video game.
You think Patrushev and Naryshkin don’t have a handle on this?
Belarus turned out how? Moscow in complete control. US, NATO, Poland, Lithuania and Kiev cornholed.
I agree. I thik the Russian authorities, FSB, etc. saw this coming and have taken the sting out of the tail. It’ll die just like the Belaruss attempt. The west tried to ruin the Russian Christmas and it’s backfired as it usually does. Stuff them!
I believe it is called “Rope a Dope”. Muhammad Ali
That is the correct way to deal with such riots which evolves into colored revolutions. It is necessary to leave it to go on a bit, to gather information on the leaders, and to let them commit some crimes to make them accountable.
China observed for months the west’s colored revolution tech at work in HK, from mainland, in the other side of the border. So when they acted, it was certain enough measures to cut out the sneak head.
I am growing confident that indeed Russia has a firm handle on this crisis, and it will soon get full under explicit control. It is easier to deal with armed and plundering rioters than with pacific ones. The formers lose legitimacy quickly.
Sure, after some clean up and evidence gathering, some political rearrangement will be necessary to improve the social and economic situation down there, in order to prevent further instabilities.
The Empire Strikes Back.
The Empire just shot its wad and now has a limp dick.
What’s their next move?
The cookie lady came and went. Crumbs on the ground.
There should be a “stiff” answer from the Kremlim.
If were I in a position to take decisions, I would have some very sutil and efective replays.
Ex: The gas delivered throug 404 would be taken to the Borderline of Russia. From there on, it’s West responsability to carry it.
Excuse me for the bad English.
Never worry about your English. This Vineyard is for everyone.
The result probably, even closer ties on Russia.
The protests supported by opposition leader (US/Ukrainian stooge) in Kiev. And the tweet shown is anti-Russian,as are most of the comments attached to it. They can lie all they want about this, but just like with the maidan, the US’s ugly mug is somewhere involved in it. Taking advantage of the government’s mess up to try and take over another ex-Soviet Republic. And one very important to Russia, this is the answer Russia gets from the US and NATO.I hope they aren’t foolish enough to not see that.
I’ve got to be missing something here, all the fuss is from a raise of $1 per gal of gas to two dollars/gal? I did the math.
These people either need a head check, or our people need to start a revolution, they are a # of $ per revolution gal, behind.
So this is the first response to western negotiations around Russia’s “not” ultimatum? One thing to keep in mind is that the Baikonur Cosmodrome is in Kazakhstan. It’s not only the equipment that is important to Russia, it’s mainly about the geographic position closer to the Equator. Russia won’t let it be lost, at least not without a heavy cost to the perpetrators.
AZ Empire news is pushing the narrative of “Kazakhs want freedom like other ex-USSR citizens.”
https://www.cbc.ca/news/world/kazakhstan-fuel-protests-1.6281653
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-59876093
So far the AZ Empire has smartened up a tiny bit. Instead of letting their figurehead “leaders” run their mouths, they are letting their professional mouth-runners do so. Either way these riots are the same old “colour revolution” attempts against a non-Western country.
For that I believe Kazakhstan must arrest the Western NGOs involved, sanction their companies doing (corrupt) business, and refuse US dollars and euros for its oil exports. Moscow should enact similar sanctions, and ban NATO civilian airlines from using Russian airspace.
This is from the Twitter of Maxim Suchkov:
The list of demands of protestors in #Kazakhstan that’s been circulating is interesting, to put it mildly.
While most demands focus on bolstering social & economic support & countering corruption points #1, 7, 10, 13,16 expose the roots of protest & who’s driving them
#1 demands that #Kazakhstan should leave Eurasian Economic union.
#7 demands legalization of polygamy “for certain groups of the population” & prohibition on marriage with foreigners
#10 demands independence for Mangystau region &that revenues of oil companies remain in Mangystau
@m_suchkov
#13 demands Constitutional amendments that set status of Kazakh language as the only language of communication in KZ
#16 demands return of Mukhtar Ablyazov to #Kazakhstan-chief opposition figure in exile, allegedly coordinating the protests in KZ now,has a few criminal charges
Having watched a few of the videos I see exactly the same tactics, both small unit and massed, as in Kiev during their debacle. I don’t know if Mother will send in boots on the ground but I do know Mother has already offered other ‘assistances’. Besides, Kazakhstan is a tad more valuable to Russian Federation than the orcs will ever be.

From Russia:
Russia calls for peaceful solution to Kazakhstan’s problems through dialogue
Moscow is closely watching the events in Kazakhstan, the Foreign Ministry said
Russia is looking after Russia, it is clear.
MOSCOW, January 5. /TASS/. Moscow is closely watching the events in Kazakhstan and is calling for a peaceful solution to problems in the neighboring country, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.
“We are closely following the events in the fraternal neighboring state. We are calling for a peaceful solution to all problems in the framework of the Constitution and the law, and dialogue, and not through street riots and the violation of laws,” the statement said.
The foreign ministry noted that the measures taken by the Kazakh leadership were aimed at this. “The steps taken by the Kazakh President Tokayev seek to stabilize the situation, promptly solving existing problems <…>,” according to the ministry.
“We hope that the situation in the country, which has relations of strategic partnership and alliance, fraternal, human contacts with Russia, will stabilize as soon as possible,” the foreign ministry went on to say.

The fact NEXTA is involved in reporting on this shows that this is being driven from outside
Using genuine discontent to incite a colour revolution.
As Saker states things have moved quickly, the authorities in Kazakhstan really haven’t paid attention to what is going on in their country
Kazakhstan has tried this multi vector policy which has meant they have a lot of NGOs like Armenia and Belarus!!!
They also announced the following two weeks ago –
Kazakhstan and the U.S. make Joint Statement on Enhanced Strategic Partnership Dialogue”
They really allowed their country to be weakened from within
Will the government survive and learn that Mulitvector does not work
The west want total control total submission
Nazarbayev also started anti Russian policies with language adoption of Latin alphabet – all pandering to dangerous backward nationalists
“Using genuine discontent to incite a colour revolution”.
Just like Syria in 2011, when there were protests/riots about the price of bread. They were taken advantage of and used as glove puppets by the takfiris.
……Ablyazov, who founded the Democratic Choice of Kazakhstan movement in 2017, called on the protesters to “coordinate actions” and gave their Ukrainian phone numbers for communication.
Will this Maidan also be declared unimportant by the Russian leadership? Probably here they also knew everything in advance and decided to release the “steam ” on the border:)) ?? One wonders where are all these experts on the public payment lists to prevent negotiating deals with the Anglo-Americans? Anglo-Americans can make protests thousands of kilometers away, is it possible to see something similar in Europe or the US by the Russians and the Chinese, or they “do not deal with such things” :))?
…..the success model is limited to a narrow group of people who are close to the authorities,
Who does this remind me of ??
From Oleg Tsarov’s Twitter:
There are 22,000 registered NGOs in Kazakhstan. Of these, 16,000 are active. Soros Foundation – Kazakhstan is flourishing with might and main, from 1995 to 2013 more than 2000 students studied abroad only through the Soros Foundation. After the Belarusian events, no conclusions were made in Kazakhstan.
Hard to see how this can lead to anything good.
I often ask myself what are the costs of these operations. Ok lets say 5 billion$ for Ukraine, several there…do they bring cash or send it directly to victims bank?
How many people must or should be bribed? How much per capita?
I hope Kazaks and mother Russia show them a stick this time. All foregin agents must fertelize our sacred soil..
Allons enfants de la Patrie,
Le jour de gloire est arrivé!
Contre nous de la tyrannie
L’étendard sanglant est levé, (bis)
Entendez-vous dans les campagnes
Mugir ces féroces soldats?
Ils viennent jusque dans vos bras
Égorger vos fils, vos compagnes!
Aux armes, citoyens,
Formez vos bataillons,
Marchons, marchons!
Qu’un sang impur
Abreuve nos sillons!

Then offshore accounts.

While most of the protests can be understood as a consequence of high gas prices and uneven economic situations the demand to withdraw from all alliances with Russia is a good hint as to who the main agitators are.
I watched this youtube clip prior to reading the article above. My first reaction was those protestors sure seemed to have an awful lot of ammnunition at the ready. Maybe I’m reading this incorrectly but if it walks like a duck. Talks like a duck. It’s probably a CIA bankster driven attempt at a Colour Revolution.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i6e_zgKWT1A
The Americans always want to have millions of rounds, because of their panicky habit of shooting in all directions whenever they get nervous. In the Korean War there were occasions when a US unit moved to attack but shot off all its ammunition before getting within range.
“When the Germans fire, the British duck. When the Soviets fire, the Germans duck. When the Americans fire, everyone ducks – including the other Americans”.
“Withdrawal from all alliances with Russia” gives it all away and this just before the orthodox Christmas and Russia- NATO talks on Monday.

I was thinking… uh oh! there are serious problems in Kazajstan,

It is for sure something local…
Then I read the demands of the protesters… till reaching point 3…

BREAKING
Intel source:
Kazakhstan on fire is being sponsored by MI6.
Maidan remixed – opening another front against Russia just before next week’s Russia-US meeting in Geneva.
Forcing Russia to back down in the West by creating a major distraction in the East.
Mother will not back down. If it’s MI6 it’s still SehSha money, UK is broke, ergo Mother has no doubts as to who is behind this mess. It won’t work, Russia knows exactly who is their main protagonist. The ultimatum will stand and the clock is ticking down to ‘do or die’ day. Literally.

Auslander, my good friend, you say it and we know it is so. I concur.
There is a countdown on the meetings in Geneva, Brussels and Vienna.
“Actions”, demanded Putin.
NATO and the West have no means to pull their chestnuts from the fires they have started.
The Russians truly will roast the American and British nuts soon.

The involvement of NEXTA, plus the claims for breaking all ties with Russia smells of rat as an orchestrated coup..
People punching the police in a very professional way were seen in videos ..
The fast seizing of government building, Tv stations and airport looks all the way at a planned strategy to ovrthrow the government.
Well let’s hope it not a case of an authoritarian gvt wanting their dignity back from the administrative gvt.
And then the insurance runs out on the administrative side as both sides wont back down but will there be a fight or bankruptcy involved.

If the political and economic landscape is abused in the manner described above, then it’s no surprise empire can exploit it at the seams. It’s this bubbling resentment that should be addressed to strengthen the foundations of the regions landscape. This can be considered a bigger crime than the crime the empire is exploiting.
A strategic timing blunder by the US/UK.
Provides ample proof to any observer and stakeholder that the Russian Sphere is under attack and Russian demands for the West to retreat is quite reasonable.
Now, the munition and technology the Russians choose to use is more appropriate than ever.
What do you suppose the meeting in Brussels will include beyond a promise from the Russians that NATO assets within the Russian Sphere of Influence will be destroyed. Mr. Kalibr will visit a few locations and NATO will scramble for safe haven on the Atlantic Coast.
It is inevitable. Russia’s hand is being called. Satellites, cyber, EW, hypersonics, ships, UAVs and spyplanes all are in the mix. The West is naked, ranting on the edge of the forest, challenging the Bear.
Larchmonter, my comrade, I think this Kazakhstan coup attempt is the reply from SehSha to the demands from Russia to step back, it’s basically an upraised middle finger to Russia from SehSha DoS. What DoS does not comprehend, at least at this moment, is Russia does not threaten and Russia does not bluff. VVP meant exactly what he said about the Russian demands for nato/et al to back up and pull back….or else. I think by mid January we will know what the ‘or else’ is because SehSha has no intention of fulfilling the demands and, in spite of the ‘no negotiations’ from VVP, will try to draw out talks/negotiations in to roughly 2030. It won’t work, the line has been drawn and SehSha/nato/et al have no choice whatsoever other than do what they are told to do.
They won’t. The ‘or else’ will come in to being and it remains to be seen exactly what that ‘or else’ is but I reiterate, Russia does not bluff. Whatever is waiting will, in my opinion and knowing nothing of what the ‘or else’ is, knock nato/eu/DoS/Foggy Bottom on their collective nether regions. I stress, Russia does NOT bluff. Ever.

Putin’s famous “Play-time is over” speech 2014
Russia does not wish for the chaos to spread, does not want war, and has no intention of starting one. However, today Russia sees the outbreak of global war as almost inevitable, is prepared for it, and is continuing to prepare for it. Russia does not war, nor does she fear it…
…Russia does not intend to take an active role in thwarting those who are still attempting to construct their New World Order, However, Russia will oppose their efforts if they begin to impinge on Russia’s key interests. Russia would prefer to stand by and watch them give themselves as many lumps as their poor heads can take. But those who manage to drag Russia into this process, through disregard for her interests, will be taught the true meaning of pain…

I had not seen that speech before.
Very very interesting.

It will be Norway and beyond that the GIUK gap region in the Northern Atlantic
That’s it brother, a hard rain gonna fall!
Years of persecuting ethnic Russians in Kazakhstan did not help either. Even banning the Cyrillic alphabet and introducing the Turkic one despite the fact that it was the Russian Empire and Russians that brought the benefits of literacy to Kazakhstan along with many benefits of civilisation.
Then there is the religious ignorance and backwardness: polygamy even slavery, masonic, even Satanic, takeover so obvious in every new skyscraper they have built since the USSR collapsed. It was obvious that the Kazakhs would not be able carry temporary blessings of increased wealth caused by gas exports.
Then there are the youths fed a constant diet of consumerism, Kazakh nationalism and Saudi-style Islam desecrating the legacy of the Kazakhs that perished in the Great Patriotic War of the 1940s and their gigantic contribution towards the defeat of the Nazi scourge.
Then there is covert or even overt hatred towards Russia and Russians carefully nurtured by the English (the USians don’t even know there is a Kazakhstan despite that sad tall Jewish person, wannabe comedian Sacha Baron Cohen, this smacks of English agitation big time).
What was the reason of the gas price increases? Kazakhstan is a net exporter of gas. Couldn’t they have diverted some of the gas earmarked for export back into the domestic market? The arrogance of the polygamist!
And then there is Baikonur.
Marko, regarding Baikonur:
Dmitry Rogozin confirms all is secure at the cosmodrome and in the city. Armed security has been reinforced.
https://tass.ru/obschestvo/13359961
I don’t know where the nearest Russian rapid response force is based, but it looks like 500 miles from the nearest Russian border to Baikonur.
A couple of hours to get there?
Tom, Larchmonter445 already posted TASS news announcing the cosmodrome is safe. Avia-pro.net notified PMC landed in Almaty before the airport was taken by protestors (probably to avoid more troops coming from the CSTO), to secure Baikonur, and they might expand their deployment to retake control over cities and government offices.
https://avia-pro.net/news/v-almaty-prizemlilsya-samolyot-s-nayomnikami-chvk-vagner
Avia-pro.net also said paratroopers from the Russian Federation were sent down to Kazakhstan. The situation is fluid, but we can be sure neither Russia nor China will let Kazakhstan go south. Or west.

I have no doubt Baikonur will be defended.
I think the Russians will take this opportunity and reverse the decades of the Russophobia in Kazakhstan. All these failed states need to be shown what side of their bread is buttered on.
@Marko
Exactly my thought. This will inevitably lead to closer Kazakh-Russian ties and increased Russian influence.
The Anglozionists have made a very bad move.
The Kazakh govt. should remember that a country can’t shake off its true heritage and assume a new identity. It always ends up as a disaster.

Seems that nobody recognises the self-vulnerability of the promoters of “colour revolutions”. Upheavals led by “people of colour” within the domain of the Zionist Occupation Government could be exploited, with little cost, and with “plausible deniability”. Apparently Russia and Belarus may be sending military assistance.
Re Pepe Escobar’s tweet about MI-6, Andrei Martyanov snarked that if he were an MI-6 agent, he’d get the hell out before the intel and SIGINT units arrive because they will find out who is behind it and ship them off to Moscow for interrogation. :-)
As someone noted in the comments, that this kicks off just before the US/NATO negotiations with Russia next week is suspicious.
Good to see colour revolutions haven’t died out yet.
Put your money into cookie shares.
Very sad events. I originally intended to write an angry post about stupid Kazakhstan leadership and lazy Russian leadership. But stopped. The empire has put nearly every nation in the world under it’s spell. Including the Russians, who escaped after the bite, Thank God. Including the United States itself, as we participate in our own destruction at the hands of the Empire. How can I ask for more resistance from the Kazaks than United States citizens are willing to offer?
I think Russia will never be able to hold together enough Asian puzzle pieces to stop the empire. Even Putin is asleep at the wheel too often, or endlessly talks while the empire acts.
Russia should gift all of the land east of the Urals to China – another nation/culture that has escaped the empire’s bite. Let China put the barbaric people to work, or do with them whatever they wish. Let the empire understand they will never touch the natural resources. China: high energy, high IQ. Russia: not so much.
China high IQ. Russia not so much????
WTF man! If it weren’t for the “not so much” clever Russia, the Chinese would have been nuked long ago. I do not intend to get involved in dick measuring, but the whole world knows Russia is the kingmaker in the world.
OTOH, how stupid do you have to be to increase (any) price 100% in a *single step*?
Stupid like German Energy policy.
