An ultimately very healthy but in the meantime very unpleasant realization is gradually dawning in West—an insight that is simply shocking, that fundamentally alters their picture of the world: that the stronger becomes the hurricane of woke transformations that is raging there, the more attractive Russia becomes for hundreds of millions of Europeans and Americans. What is Russia’s most powerful weapon? Is it nuclear? Is it hypersonic (or “hydrosonic,” as per Trump)? Cybermagic, perhaps? No, Russia’s most powerful weapon is its values. And it grows stronger and more dangerous every day, in direct proportion to the intensifying fire of multiculturalism and political correctness that is raging in Europe and in America.
A recent article in The National Interest summarized various American authors who claim that the Kremlin is gradually developing its strategy of soft power and using it to successfully fight the West, splitting it and undermining it from within. What is the cause of their paranoid hysteria? Could it be that they have accidentally discovered who their true enemy is, and that it is… they themselves?
The simplest and most effective way to knock a geopolitical adversary out of the game is to impose on it a system of values that will split its society and lead the most active part of its population to occupy public buildings, to erect barricades and to support a pretender to the throne that is immediately given support and recognition by the country’s enemies. This is how all color revolutions of the late 20th and the early 21st centuries have been done: broadcast some propaganda, recruit some activists, help them to organize, provide some clandestine financial support, and then at some point this human mass, confident in their strength and their righteousness, surges through the police barriers and goes on to create history by overthrowing some faux-democrat petty tyrant, clearing the path for the next faux-democrat petty tyrant to be installed, with the country growing weaker, poorer and more disordered with each iteration. The process starts with the conversion of some significant part of the target population to “universal human values” with secular proselytizing of the “one true democratic faith.”
To the extent that this could be called a game, the West had a huge head start in it. The tools for fighting the “evil empire” have been honed for half a century. In the course of fighting the Cold War, radio stations, foundations, newspapers and magazines, parties and communities, publishing houses and TV channels have been created. Virtually all of them were then repurposed from fighting against the USSR to fighting against Russia. Collapse of the USSR, it was foolishly thought, was but a first step toward destroying Russia and absconding with its crude oil, natural gas, metal ores, fertile farmland and other natural treasures. And then, just in time, new, internet-based forms of influence appeared, completely controlled from America. For a time, the combination of a huge head start and the newly weaponized internet technologies seemed overwhelming.
But then something miraculous took place.
For a long time the USSR struggled mightily to propagandize socialist ideas in the United States and in Western Europe—to no avail. In the US, from its inception as a quintessential pirate colony, centuries of being conditioned to think that good persons are good by virtue of having goodly quantities of bounty and loot in their coffers has rendered people immune to socialist values. Meanwhile, Europe—its western half after the defeat of Nazism and in its eastern after the demise of Soviet communism—have been reduced to American satrapies where American propaganda reigns supreme and ceaselessly paints Russia as backward, corrupt, despotic and generally evil. No amount of broadcasting by Russia Today and no amount of toil by Russian internet trolls would ever be able to reprogram the consciousness of a Western person. But then suddenly Russia was awarded the supreme prize, giving it attractiveness, charm and influence no one could have dreamed of.
What has suddenly transformed the situation was mass insanity into which the West has been plunged. This group madness has destroyed much of what is infinitely dear to a very significant, if not overwhelming, part of Western civilization. Those conditional “conservatives”—normal people who do not want to be forced to be ashamed of their skin color, heterosexuality, respect for religion, generally accepted morality, and so on, are now humiliated, discriminated against and persecuted by the newest crop of toxic lefties.
Here is a lovely quote from an article in the Daily Beast: “…The Kremlin intends to attract Western converts with… bigotry—turning Russia into the land of ultimate political incorrectness, the world’s anti-woke capital.” Never mind the spurious claim of Kremlin’s intent to make Russia attractive; that is akin to blaming a beauty pageant contestant for being beautiful. Never mind the spurious claim of bigotry when it comes to opposing the West’s gender dysphoria and other psychiatric symptoms; there is a perfectly valid counterclaim of a society-wide psychiatric disorder that has plenty of biological science to back it up. What’s important is that the world has flipped to its mirror image: no longer is the United States “the land of the free and the home of the brave,” Russia now is, in the eyes of the Americans themselves! No longer is it Ivan sighing enviously while dreaming of American blue jeans, Coca-Cola and rock-and-roll; it is John who is wildly jealous of the absence of black-on-white racism, dumbed-down high school curricula, laughable yet lethal accusations of sexual harassment and a rainbow of public toilets.
Russia itself could never have achieved such a high level of attractiveness merely by using its propaganda machinery (all one and a half TV channels of it). It arose by itself when traditional (i.e., white heterosexual Christian) Europeans and Americans began to compare the surrounding Bedlam with Russia’s naturalness and orderliness. And then there spontaneously arose in them a very simple feeling: to hell with past grievances; it is the future which we must make livable for ourselves and our children. In the past, Russia was an adversary, but that past ended thirty years ago, and in the present Russia is safe, secure and happier than ever while we are burning in Hell and have no idea what to do about it. But at least we have Russia to hold up as a positive example.
It must also be understood that there are no other candidates for this role. There is no LGBT insanity, sexual harassment mania or violent reverse racism in North Korea, or Iran, or Saudi Arabia, or China, but these examples are all far too exotic and come with toxic baggage of their own. What the persecuted white Western Christian conservative heterosexual male needs is a normal European country, full of white people, comfortable for living in, but without any of the things he hates. What other options are there? It is not a competition if there is just one contestant.
And thus we have come to the point where Russia—in all seriousness and without any irony or puffery whatsoever, really—has become the light of the world, a shining city set upon a hill, a beacon of hope, a bastion of righteousness and free spirit and the symbol of a truly free world. This is an almost magical transformation: it was able to win this exalted status outright without even playing the game. It did the barest minimum in standing its ground and in preventing a smallish faction of foreign-controlled traitors and fools from destroying their country. Theirs has remained a wholesome world of brave, masculine men, of attractive, feminine women and of their above-average, non-gender-confused children. In their world, rewards and privileges are based on merit, corrupt politicians and businessmen spend years in jail, and respect for traditional ethics and religious faith is mandatory. In their world, all of history is permanently theirs: none of it will ever be forgotten, falsified or erased—all thousand-plus years of it, including life under the Golden Horde, the serfdom, great victories of the Russian Empire, the revolutionary terror, collectivization, Stalin’s purges, the defeat of Nazism, the destruction of Western colonialism throughout Africa and Asia, the conquest of space, the national humiliation of Gorbachev’s and Yeltsin’s puppet regimes and Russia’s rebirth under Putin.
It is a world to which more and more people in the West want to escape to, leaving behind a landscape blighted by leftist vandalism and enforced repentance for the crime of being of a certain race or of daring to exhale carbon dioxide. They do not wish to subject themselves to the unholy inquisition which doles out punishments to those who remain unenthusiastic about and unsupportive of sexual perversity, gender dysphoria, the destruction of traditional families and the brainwashing of youth. Even if they cannot escape, they can take comfort in knowing that a more normal and less damaged alternative reality exists, and they can secretly sympathize with it.
What makes this transformation particularly remarkable is that ten years ago Russia’s soft power barely existed. At that time, a small but vocal opposition demonstrated in the center of Moscow, chanting “We need a different Russia.” But now hundreds of millions of French, Germans, Americans and others in the West are chanting what amounts to “We need a different West.” To the abject horror of their political elites they look to Russia—the country of extreme political incorrectness—with longing, delight and hope. These people are self-organizing into parties, uniting like-minded people in much greater numbers than the Communist International had ever been able to gather. In many countries they already exert a very significant influence on the political agenda. The more the pandemic of woke madness rages, the greater their influence will become. When this conflagration of mass insanity finally burns itself out, it is Russia that will have the civilizational seed stock with which to re-fertilize the devastated cultural landscape of the West.
In the meantime, this is already shaping up to be a Russian century. This level of soft power is something beyond anyone’s wildest dreams; it is is Putin’s judo mastery taken to the nth level. In judo, one directs one’s opponent’s own force against him; here, the opponent is directing his own power against himself while the judo master merely stands back and watches, nodding in approval. In every country that the liberals attempt to reformat to their liking, Russia automatically gains millions of fans, forcing any possible geopolitical confrontation with Russia to fade into the background before the neutralizing force of a great commonality of traditional values. Remaining passive and risking nothing, Russia has gained a myriad ways to turn the geopolitical situation to its advantage.
For a very long time the West had monopolized the dominant discourse, but now Russia has gained control of it. Needless to say, this does not go down well with those who have been accustomed to uncontested dominance. They react hysterically: by throwing around groundless accusations and insults, staging provocations, imposing toothless yet self-defeating sanctions… They will try anything that they think might help to defer the moment when they will be forced to admit the horrible truth: that they have checked themselves into an insane asylum in Hell and they can’t check out. Meanwhile, all Russia has to do is to wait patiently for the fires of Hell to consume them and to burn themselves out; because they always do. Their desperate thrashing about and threatening Armageddon is for Russia to ignore.

Actually, the USSR’s program of subversion in the West worked fantastically. Wokeness is just the current incarnation of it. I’m not sure if it was Soviet agents that continued it, or just cynical people who saw a means to get power. Either way, it is hilarious.
A guy named Tim Murdock (Horus the Avenger/ White Rabbit radio) has been saying for at least 10 years that the thing that threatens the elites the most is if Russia recruits whites to come settle there. I noticed with interest that Russia does have a minor program for awarding poor farms to immigrants, but I wonder just how effective such a Siberian Homestead act could be if it was incentivized even more. I bet there are a lot of Germans and Austrians that would love a Siberian farm when the alternative is a forced vaccination.
No, not actually. Back to the real world, please!
Agree.
Diana Ankudinova is my favourite example of Russian soft power.
The singer not the specific song, any of the girl’s songs will do.

Wasn’t there a scheme to attract white South African farmers, who had been burned out of their farms by the newly-empowered rampaging jungulies, to the part of Southern Russia just North of the Caucasus?
PS “Junguly” is a Nigerian term for a subsistence peasant who rejects any interaction with the wider society
Nope. But it is true that a desultory few Afrikaner Nationalists – thitherto virulently Anti-Russian, Anti-Black, Anti-Indian, Anti-English-S’African, Anti-Jew, Anti-Muslim, Anti-Arab, Anti-Catholic, Anti-Irish, Anti-American, Anti-British, Anti-Chinese – embittered that their Israel-in-the-South, Land-of-Milk-and-Honey, Social Engineering Experiment had collapsed after just 42 years instead of the covenanted 1000-Year Reich, did seek out a new Promised Land on the Steppe, where to this day they continue to grumble about _Rooi Gevaar_, _Swart Gevaar_ and also now “Moscow corruption”. More, however, have sought out Promised Lands in Australia, Argentina. A surprising number, moreover, seem to have swallowed their tedious insults about _soutpiels_ and appear to be living rather comfortably with their conscience in Boris’s tidy and –er– multicult English provincial towns.
Very true, the Afrikaners were so Communist in the 1920’s that it took planes dropping bombs on them to stop the Rand Rebellion, and then 30 years later they were anti-Communist again.
In the US its said that people are fleeing the collapsing Blue states to the more stable Red states, only to vote Blue in the Red States and so collapse the Red states. Russia must not be too tolerant and accommodating towards its European and American immigrants, they will all vote for Navalny.
russia will have to be very judicious in the analysis of asylum applications, citizenship. The cultural meme (cultural genetics) can be carried over generations.
Does russia want to become rotten and chaotic like the west? replace shakespeare, mozart, johann sebastian bach, tchaikovsky, dostoevsky, andrei tarkovsky, with hip hop, rock, samba, neymar, cristiano ronaldo, Madonna, Lady Gaga and the “german” arnold schwarzenegger and his films . This is the formula for the decadence of russia and china! Russia and China must have another internet, not leaving their children exposed to pornography on cell phones. China is ahead, and has limited the amount of hours for children to play video games. Russia’s problem is that she has a lot of liberals, and that’s why Putin’s life is not easy!!!

Accurate comment. You enumerated correctly and with several examples what is the formula of decay with which the West contaminated the world and, fortunately, itself. The West lives the fantasy that it can avail itself of chaos all the time to achieve its purposes. But chaos wouldn’t be the case if at some point it didn’t get out of hand as it’s starting to happen.

You wrote an excellent article. The Western elites have for at least two centuries been trying to break up Russia, and have always failed. They are incapable of understanding that Russia has behind it more than a thousand years of history and tradition, which makes it strong.
The West is destroying its self with multiculturalism and and all sorts of perversions, which no doubt are part of the globalist Agenda of destroying the family and sovereign nation states, so that a new world order could be introduced ruled by private banks and corporations. However, the globalists miscalculated. They introduced their subversive methods with the belief that Russia would disintegrate. It did not, and now they have – with horror – discovered that they have fallen into their own trap, destroying themselves and watching Russia prosper and grow strong. What worries me is that the globalists will, as a result, provoke a war, using Ukraine as a proxy, so that Russia would lose on the international scene and be labelled a villain and aggressor. These are known as Bismarckian tactics, where innocents are labelled as aggressors and aggressors are labelled as innocents.
And yes, you are right about people in the West looking to Russia as an emigration destination. For the past ten years I have been reading on the Internet comments of readers, who have shown an interest in Russia. The reason mass emigration to Russia has not yet begun is because of the Western propaganda narrative, trying to vilify Russia on a monthly basis. However, time is the factor. Russia will become more and more attractive as the years pass. The only obstacle to this is the danger of a provoked war, which I sincerely hope does not occur.
Yandex translation. Mod:
I do not see this attraction that Russia begins to exert necessarily as an advantage for it. How many of these people who are now fed up with the West are not responsible for creating the chaos from which they now want to escape? Have you considered this?
The fact that Russia is 1000 years old is not something despicable. This means accumulation of a very valuable collective experience. However, this experience will only have value if people understand its meaning. So one should never doubt the human stupidity and its ability to throw a thousand years of history in the trash if the conditions to present. The civilizing process is long and painful but can collapse with astonishing speed if the mechanisms to protect it are not created. That means starting to create laws to protect knowledge in such a way that you can restrain an imbecile who begins to assert to his disposition that the Earth is flat despite all the scientific evidence to the contrary. One cannot tolerate a delusional issuing his “opinion” and demanding that his delusion be considered on an equal footing with a truth established by proof. Believe me, I know what I’m saying.
Undeniably from now on, Russia and china will be the guarantors of the civilizational process. It’s just looking around and realizing what the so-called collective West has to offer. But for this Russia needs to be more concerned with protecting itself from this West than aiming to be accepted by it. And I need to direct the energy of the nation state to a colossal communicational offensive that strengthens the internal front and immunizes the population of Russia against the vulgar propaganda disseminated by ziomedia. Taking control of the narrative is as important as having hypersonic missiles. No narrative will be powerful enough to dispense with missiles. But it can mean having and not having to use them. If I make myself clear.
great insight
What you say reminds me of what Lord Macalay said to the British parliament in 1835:
” I have travelled across the length and breadth of India and I have not seen one person who is a beggar, who is a thief.. such wealth I have seen in this country, such high moral values, people of such caliber, that I do not think we would ever conquer this country, unless we break the very backbone of this nation, which is her spiritual and cultural heritage and therefore, I propose that we replace her old and ancient education system, her culture, for if the Indians think that all that is foreign and English is good and greater that their own, they will lose their self esteem, their native culture and they will become what we want them , a truly dominated nation”
Russia respecter here, but this reads more like wishful thinking than actually-existing sentiment. Similarly, there are other candidates that the author ignores: Poland, Hungary, and Croatia, for example.
Hundreds of millions in the West are clearly fed up with the course of things but the handful most likely to look with something like hope or envy or even informed respect at contemporary Russia are the same ones (such as Horus) who think all these emigres sound like dishonest smear merchants when they talk about the “Nazi regime” in Kiev or whine about Solzhenitsyn. The former is an abuse of language and the latter seems to be a generational tic of Russian boomers.
If I were in charge of projecting this new-found soft power into the heartland of North America, I would do so by using Russia’s position in Syria to effect the return of Christians there and elsewhere in the Middle East, or at least appear to be doing so. And have Two Hundred Years together translated and abridged and airdropped in flyover country…
Some Dude
Wishful thinking ? Back in 2014 or 2016 (I forgot the exact year) a well known Polish website stated that if Europe does not reverse it’s current immigration policies, then it will see it’s entire native population flee to Russia. This is not as fantastic as it might appear at first glance. Russia is huge, and in the end it will become a magnet.
People emigrating to Poland ? I have yet to hear of a single case. People emigrating to Hungary ? Yes, the country is becoming popular for German pensioners, who are settling in the Lake Balatan region. People emigrating to Croatia ? The coastline and islands are attractive, but only those who have the money can live there, as the standard of living is below that of Western Europe.
Dmitry Orlov has made no exaggerations in his analysis. And no, people will not start pouring into Russia in the next 24 hours, as this is a gradual process, which will gain momentum as Russia prospers.
great article
I have been feeling this way ever since I moved back to Serbia from transgender gulag of Canadistan about three months ago.
The best thing I have done in years. It’s great to be surrounded with happy, friendly, socially cohesive similar people of the same race as I am. Lots and lots of beautiful children and young parents. Children play and walk outside unattended even after dark in Belgrade.
Lots of IT work – the exact opposite of the transgender gulag as well as JUSA and JUK where I also used to live, study and work .
Every country ruled by Kosher Nostra ends up destroyed, transgendered and it’s population become refugees in their own countries.
This is what happens when psychopaths are allowed to get in positions of power – it’s like putting a fox in charge of a hen house. They cannot be any other way – so it’s not even their fault.
The same goes for Psychopath Support Groups masqueraded as a ‘culture’ or ‘religion’
In the early eighties of the last century, Yurij Besmenov explained and warned us about this cultural subversion, and he was amazed at how effective this tool actually was.
Dear Demitri Orlov.
I’m shure that you do not have Nordic ancestry, because it is uncommon for Nordic people to glee over the misfortune of you fellow man. Besides that, Vikings do appreciate dark humor.
For a man born in 1968 in Sct. Petersburg during the former USSR, and who moved to Chicago in 1974 (12 years old), to get your BS in Computer Engineering, I think that there is something you didn’t learn while living in Russia. I guess Aleksandr Solsjenitsyn was still deported to Siberia, before your parents sneaked you through Checkpoint Charlie and into the American dream.
What you didn’t learn (or have forgotten) is what caused the Russian Empire to collapse in 1917, and then again in 1992.
What is happening in the west today is caused by the same Dynastic Elite and their Freemasonic agents that caused the French Revolution in 1799, the Russian Revolution in 1917, the collapse of Weimar Germany in 1920, the Wall Street Crash in 1929, the collapse of the USSR in 1992, and the current collapse of the west.
Neither the French, Russian, German, nor American population deserved this destruction of their lives. Nor do any of the people in Nations attacked by the Imperial wars and color revolutions, deserve the destruction of their lives, they have received since 9/11.
In 1974 I was taught about these major events in Europe, including the generational imprisonment of the Russian people, but one thing I never understood, is why the German population went into collective insanity during the rise of the 3rd Reich. Today the whole world should know why.
The Germans in the 1930, were subjected to the same Totalitarian insane MO that we have been subjected to in the west since 9/11, and it was the same MO revolutionizing Russian back in 1917.
The only difference is that in Russia it was called Communism, whereas in Germany it was called (NAZI) Fascism. Either way both isms are Totalitarian subjugation of humanity.
When the NAZIs attacked and occupied Denmark in 1940, the Danes stayed in Denmark to sabotage and assassinate the German forces. And as Central European Fascism has been revived via the EU, The Danes will still stay in Denmark to once again force Fascism out of our nation.
I suppose You will move back to Russia, now that Russia has been the new beacon of freedom. Russia was liberated because all of its former Dynastic Commissars left the collapsing USSR for Brussels and Washington, to pester the western population, when the Berlin Wall came down.
Instead of sending these dynastic satanic snakes back and forth through the Iron curtain, it would be more intelligent to clean house Globally, once and for all.
To rephrase a quote by one of the former Russian Commissars for the Globalist Fascist Elite, Madelyn Albright: I think it will be worth it.
I am Danish/Swedish and I live in Sweden at the moment, I’m definitely not moving back to Denmark, too high taxes and I do like the looks of the immigrants we get there, if you know what I mean. 90 % parasites.
So know I will try and find out what it takes to get a permanent residency in Russia, I am a pensioner, but have had a very good pension’s scheme and I own a house that is worth quite a lot $1 000 000 – in my house.
You will never been able to fight back against wokenism if instead of facing it you create such absurd fantasies about it being a “soviet” subversion.
Actually that is also a symptom of the disease destroying US society: the inability to even fathom the idea that anything bad could have its roots in the USA.
It should come from outside, right?
But the truth is that not only Russia never did any subversion aimed at the west (not during the Empire, not during soviet, not even now); but actually the communists were quite stricts about morality and family values. Those poor souls suffering gender problems would have rightly been sent for psychiatric treatment during soviet times.
No; the wokenism is purely a western creation, even worst, it is the result of the values subversion aimed at the USSR that came back as a boomerang.
It was a powerful perversion tool to depict the USSR as an hyperopressive society (much exaggerating the reality). For that, it was necessary to build a narrative of a contrastive “hyperfreedom” society, where everything was possible.
And then, they actually believed in their own narrative, they truly believed that gay parades and sex changing was what defeated the URSS, and it went out of control.
And the initial target not being there anymore, it spiralled, and firebacked.
Pavlo wrote: You will never been able to fight back against wokenism.
My comment: Wokeism is killing itself, as intended.
Pavlo wrote: Instead of facing facts you create absurd fantasies about it being a “soviet” subversion.
My Comment: I wrote that it is a Dynastic Globalist Elite originating in Central Europe, who via its Freemasonic agents, have subverted France, Russia twice, Germany and now America.
So read my post again.
Pavlo wrote: That is also a symptom of the disease destroying US society: the inability to even fathom the idea that anything bad could have its roots in the USA. It had to come from outside, right?
My comment: It has come from outside America. Young prospects from US Universities have for decades been invited to Bilderberg meetings by the Globalist Elite, and bribed into a political career within the US, with the goal to subvert America.
Just as Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels were financed by the Globalist Elite to subvert Russia.
Pavlo wrote: The communists were quite strict about morality and family values. Those poor souls suffering gender problems would have been sent for psychiatric treatment during soviet times.
My comment: Show us a Soviet manifest proclaiming Christian morals, family and gender values.
Pavlo wrote: The wokenism is purely a western creation, even worst, it is the result of the subversion aimed at the USSR that came back as a boomerang.
My comment: Yes wokeism is a creation of western Globalist Elite Agents. It was first instituted by NAZIs officers trapped behind the Iron Curtain in East Germany.
And this MO has now been revived by Globalist Elite Agents within America.
The rest of you post I don’t understand.
False.
“The useful idiots, the leftists who are idealistically believing in the beauty of the Soviet socialist or Communist or whatever system — when they get disillusioned, they become the worst enemies. That’s why my KGB instructors specifically made the point: Never bother with leftists. Forget about these political prostitutes. Aim higher.”
– Yuri Bezmenov
Wokeism/leftism/whatever definition you can come up with-ism has it’s roots in Marxist revisionism, but it came directly from brainwashed Amerikans, living in Amerika.
If you look at the former-soviet/communist nations, they do not want anything to do with leftist wokeism.
It seems like a ideology to pretend the world is a Utopia when it isn’t. The subvertors come from the radical left which bleed into wokeism/Marxist-revisionism with the goal to genocide the center & right political spectrum.
Regardless, it is a very dangerous game to be played.

A good overview of the geopolitical dynamics of change.
Values define civilizations and nations.
The US once had values codified in the Bill of Rights and Constitution. It was the Social Contract that attracted immigrants from everywhere.
The progressives and liberals in their fanatical ideologies hell-bent to destroy competitors for power and control have set their sights on the utter destruction of those American traditional values. Religion, family, rule of law, equality under the law, two genders, maleness, maternity, childhood, science and respect for elderly and history were cherished by conservative middle class citizens. All are debased by the progressives and liberals.
As we scan the world for new home with similar values, only Russia appears. If the weather was temperate like the US, the waiting line to get in would be 20 million deep.
Add to that social attraction, Russia’s military prowess and leadership in diplomacy and coordination with China is the only countervailing power that can keep the West and US especially from igniting new regional wars.
God bless VVP, Shoigu, Lavrov and Gerasimov’s legions.
To Larchmonter
For temperate climat one can always move to the Black Sea – Crimea or Sochi or anywhere along the coast! It’s pretty much Mediterranian climat there, where one can grow peaches and grapes, with magnificent mountains in the background. Picture postcard! Spent many summers there in my youth and childhood. If I was still in Russia that’s where I would have moved to, permanently. Who knows, we might still do it. Husband’s knowledge of Russian language is not too bad now, at least he knows all the swearing words in Russian! : )
Ye’katarina, please please please don’t tempt/invite/encourage anyone to come to the Black Sea area, especially our bucolic little village of Sevastopol. Six years ago we had, in theory, approximately 350,000 residents in the village including a goodly number of troops from both entities vying for primacy in this berg. We tend to be insular and at times violent, witness the orcs in early February of ’14 clearly stating they would come to this berg and ‘make your streets run red with blood’ and ‘we’ll put every Moskal to the knife’ to ‘make you loyal orcs’. These two statements surprisingly encouraged the violent streak in the local residents who actually armed up and prepared reception committees at the borders of Krimu and Sevastopol for the peaceful orcs. One might ask where did the locals and Red Army get so many weapons but the fact remains that the gentle and peaceful orcs, when informed of the particular types of bread and salt welcoming gifts prepared for them, decided to take their holiday jaunt elsewhere. And you are encouraging innocent outsiders to come to this berg and this island knowing full well the penchant for violence and insularity of the locals?
We now have ‘officially’ 500,000 ‘residents’, those who bothered to get a local propeeska as opposed to the ‘nother 150,000 who don’t bother following the law and registering on the 31st day of their sojourn in this village. And you are encouraging others to come to what is in essence a lawless, violent and armed populace? Please, those of you who are reading this blog, don’t come here, you will be heavily disappointed and probably frightened of the armed locals. While you may come for your summer holiday and not see actual armed locals, trust me, they are armed and quite dangerous.
I have a habit of posting links to two of my books, a long, very long, novel and a relatively short story of what happened to the innocent and peaceful nato representatives stationed in this village until roughly 23 February 2014. Don’t read them, they are full of information and ideas of Russian Culture and Russia’s Spetznaz regiments, said Spetznaz being violent by their very vocation. You do not need to obtain such a deep look in to Russian Culture as Never The Last One and Incident on Simonka will give to you.

To Auslander
My dear, Sevastopol is a very specific and very strategic city in Crimea where you have a great fortune to reside. The rest of Black Sea coast is relatively not that much populated apart from Sochi, Adler and few others that are just little towns. I spent most of my summer holidays actually in Abkhazia, in Gudaute, a lovely little seaside holiday place which was totally destroyed by georgian firepower under the “Sackofshit” garbage in 2008. It was heartbreaking seeing the ruins of that lovely town on Youtube, streets that I used to walk on the way to the beach, with bombed buidings on both sides. Only God knows what happened to the population. Now, Abkhazia and Ossetia are of course under Russian protection, but some good investment is absolutely needed there to make those places into shining diamonds to rival the Monaco’s Cannes!
My dear lady Ye’katarina,
I was here for the war with Sabakasvili, too, and I well know what he did. Our second marriage (embassy in Kiev had a litter of kittens when we applied for a visa for VCO to visit The States and they found we had not asked ‘permission’ to marry in the first place, so we married again to placate them. They still would not give us a visa.) was scheduled for the day that war started and we watched most of our security sail away when the Flot went out to sink the Gruzya Flot. One of our security was with field sanitation, those who find, try to ID and bury the dead. He told me everything when he returned. It weren’t pretty what was done to your favorite city and the citizens. As an aside, we did indeed marry again that day, 08.08.08. We both wear a wedding band on the traditional right hand and also one on the left hand for the second ceremony.
Our entire south coast is now built up to an unbelievable level. Sevastopol itself is flooded with citizens from mainland. This is a small and until not many years ago closed city, my wife grew up here and well remembers the hoops to jump through to get friends the needed documents to visit her and her family. We despise the plague of tourists we get starting 01 May before the parade and hanging on until mid November if possible. These outsiders never cease to tell us what we ‘owe’ them for February of ’14. My reply is ‘Odd, I don’t remember seeing you in Naxhimov Square when A. M. Chalyi made his speech and declared Sevastopol independent of orcland. VCO and I were there. I don’t remember seeing you on the barricades at the orc border, standing guard 24/7 in the sleet and snow and cold. I don’t remember you bringing us on the barricades so much as one stale crust of bread. Where were you when we needed you? Oh yeah, I forgot. We didn’t need you, VCO and I spent giant money for supply of the barricades in addition to standing to on guard duty. I can suggest what you can do with your one stale crust of bread.’
I don’t know what the answer is but somehow TPTB have got to stop this steady and large influx of mainlanders before we can’t move in this village and reality is in High Summer we can’t move on southside. It’s 35 kilometers from our gate to 35th Battery way on southwest side. From very early May through September it takes 2 hours and more to get there on a good day, and the roads are quite good now.
Auslander
Auslander, your reply echoes my own sinking feeling when I read the word “development” in Katerina’s happy seaside memoir. Development has ruined the Mediterranean coast with concrete and traffic jams; don’t let it ruin your own warm water coast.
A. Deplorable
Russian Black Sea coast is actually not too shabby, I am talking about Abkhazia’s Black Sea coast – THAT one can absolutely do with some development and improvements. Besides, it is one of the most spectaculary beautiful along that whole coastline, as it has truly magnificent mountains on the other side, with Abkhazia got sort of sandwiched in-beetween! For unforgettable holiday one can spend a week skiing in mountains, then come down and spend the following week on the beach!
Or, for balance against these sanguine opinions on Russian “conservative” values by residents of California, Florida and the various St. Petersburgs of the world, one could consult actual loyal Russian residents, such as M. Shukshina, Y. Baranchik, Kuchera, R. Waggaman, the authors of Тот самый Олень, РИА КАТЮША, Седьмая печать, Русский Демиург and a host of other actual loyal Russian conservatives like the patrons of Sorok Sorokov and the Traditionalists of the 3rd Rome, the recipients of the intimidating “letter of advice” from “Moses” Gintzburg and the Gang of 11 “Doctors”, and all the other opponents of those not-so-conservative Europe-worshipping actual rulers of the Federation to whom a very tired Teutonophilic V.V. Putin has ceded actual control of the country: Peskov, Kudrin, the Grefster and his banking cabal (as Bankster on TG continues to enlighten us), Popova, Golikova and other Big Pharma payrollees, Sobyanin’s Neoliberal Globalist “we need 5 million violent migrants to build more housing” gang in the the capital; the oppressed seniors with tiny pensions and they and students with suspended travel passes, the 1000s of Sochi residents who bought land in good faith now with their property rights suspended, and the tens of 1000s of “pension-sucking/useless eater” victims of Protsenko”s nosocomial population reduction efforts in the death house in Kommunarka. About as “conservative” as Bill Kristol, Jonah Goldberg and Max Boot.
Wow, said like a true 1%er! (Those who never get over 1% of the vote in Russia.) Yes, Russia is a free country and we love our political crazies, even the ones who are openly working for the enemy, a.k.a. foreign agents. They provide much amusement value but never get any traction politically. They’re hopping-mad right now because during the last election they were reduced to a footnote.
“If the weather was temperate like the US…”
There are 11 time zones across Russia’s 17,13 millions km², so one would have a relatively vast “choice of climates”.
The world’s lowest minimum January temperature (outside Antarctica) occurred at Oymyakon, southeast of Verkhoyansk, where a temperature of −96 °F (−71 °C) was recorded, while July maxima above 100 °F (38 °C) regularly occurs at several places.
Would be good if you can provide further info on coldest/hottest places. Links, articles, place names etc.
Sounds like fun to look into.
Thanks.
The climate manifests through latitude, not longitude; or elevation. The Innu (Eskimos) live on all 24 time zones, for instance. Didn’t help them in having to live in igloos.
God bless VVP, Shoigu, Lavrov and Gerasimov’s legions.
I do hope V. Putin and the others have their replacements ready some time soon.
Great post, Thanks.
Many Americans still have those values. One sign is that the only place in the World, which appears to be mounting an effective response to the ‘vaccine mandates’ (read totalitarian control) is the United States. It’s a great sport on sites like this to criticize the US (which deserves plenty of criticism), but at the end of the day, if humanity is going to be saved from this looming authoritarian nightmare, it will be Americans who lead the way. Americans who love freedom have allies everywhere in the World, but I fear they will be crushed without our help.
A. Dane and Larchmonter, very, very well said. There is no justification for malice toward the citizens of US and other western civ. Nations. We are still comprised largely of good, God-loving people who are terribly oppressed by the Empire these days. It was NOT always so. “200 Years Together” explains a lot of what has befallen us…in addition to our own embrace of immorality and greed. But take it easy on us, we are no different. Side note: yes,Sochi, have looked into that and dreamed.
UK increased its military engagement with Ukraine in the past weeks. Acording to Ukraian defence minister it has two bases in Ukraine allready. It also encourages Ukraine into starting military campaigh agaist the republics in order to bravely stand up to those Ruskees. . So what is the end game for UK? In Stockholm there was a heated discussion between Blinken and Lavrov and also talk between Lavrov and Liz Truss. American State department is traditionally closely connected with UK ambassador in US. The flare up of another expulsion of Russian diplomats from US comes at the same time as increased attacks on Donetsk and Lughansk republics by Ukraine military and informational war in Western media screaming that Russia will attack Ukraine. Hmm. And middle of December is a dedline for follow up meeting of Biden and Putin which might finish Yalta2 on currency zones. Hmm.
Bravo Dimitry! Bull’s eye. Worth mentioning is Victor Orban, who as well managed to save Hungary from the neoliberal dictatorship by kicking out George Soros scum.
“Could it be that they have accidentally discovered who their true enemy is, and that it is… they themselves?”
Yes, that is exactly it. They unconsciously revile themselves.
In the Balkans Dmitri we say, with all due respect, that the one who flies high falls low. Take that into account,.You have experience. Criticism is what strengthens man and the system, not bragging.
1 …. in their world, rewards and privileges are based on merit, corrupt politicians and businessmen spend years in jail…..
Please, if you can give the names and surnames of these people and the length of their imprisonment, actually write an article about how many violators of the constitutional law have been convicted and when.
2 …. the national humiliation of Gorbachev’s and Yeltsin’s puppet regimes and Russia’s rebirth under Putin…..
Let me remind you that Putin and the DUMA decided to ban the trials of living Comrade Gorbachev’s and posthumous Mr. Yeltsin.
3. …… These people are self-organizing into parties, uniting like-minded people in much larger numbers than the Communist International had ever been able to gather ……..
Isn’t this whishful thinking? Where did you see that? If you can give us a reference, thank you.
4 ……. When this conflagration of mass insanity finally burns itself out, it is Russia that will have the civilizational seed stock with which to re-fertilize the devastated cultural landscape of the West.
What this means? Some kind of messianic role like the Anglo-Americans have today?
or
…….all Russia has to do is to wait patiently for the fires of Hell to consume them and to burn themselves out; because they always do………
Is this Russia’s plan to wait for them to fight each other? Proactive vs reactive??This will not happen because they are more likely to go to war with you, directly or through proxies, what will keep them in love. Like the Venetians / Templars with the Pope / Genoese when they plundered Constantinople. Or when they killed Serbs in the war of the 1990s. London and the Vatican together.
5.. …… This level of soft power is something beyond anyone’s wildest dreams; it is Putin’s judo mastery taken to the nth level. In judo, one directs one’s opponent’s own force against him; here,. ….
Where can you see that? In Sputnik f.e., which is the only russian newsagency in Serbia, With international yugoslav worldview. Or in collaboration with people like quis…ing Vucic?
I would encourage you to do your own research and report back on the results.
Conjecture.
What are Russia’s core values? Is usury one of them?
What % of Russia’s international export trade is conducted in rubles and private money of the Empire? More than 50% of its sovereign wealth fund investment is in the Empire’s private money & assets. The Empire has successfully convinced Russia of neoliberalism and dominates its foreign transactions. Russia hasn’t fully succeeded in De-Dollarization.
In the 1990s, Russia was successfully captured by the Financial Empire. Vladimir Putin and his confidants have been a game changer. However, Russia is not out of the woods yet. “We need a different Russia,” that is strong, secure and sovereign. The Empire is working towards a post Putin era to capture it ones again and list its companies in London and Wall Street.
Nations need to achieve full sovereignty and give up egoistic thinking of a “X century.” The best way to live & lead is by examples and inspiring others. Hopefully, Russia will rise to its potential & show the way.
If you are interested in Russia’s core values, I would suggest that you start your research with the changes to the Russian constitution that were ratified in a recent referendum. They are yet to be fully implemented in law and the process is rather slow, but it is happening. As for your interest in Russian economics and finance, look into the Russian infrastructure projects and the large number of factories it is building, with Western investment and help, that will take advantage of access to cheap energy resources. For instance, there is a new factory in Ust-Luga that will be producing about 1/3 of all the polyethylene on the planet. I am subscribed to a list of new factories being opened in Russia every month, and just scrolling through it is enough to tire you out!
I can see it now, “read all about it”, Russia to widen rails into Ukraine, so as to “better” serve both country’s interests in lower prices and improving transportation efficiency.
One has to wonder just how long the west can continue the kabuki theater.
Hi Dmitry, thanks for validating my assertion, assumptions and hypothesis.
Values: I have reviewed the Russian constitution as well as reality of its values, like other constitutions it is just rhetoric. What does the Russian constitution say about money creation? There is a big gap between rhetoric and reality. It will be good to see the values it will live by. However, the very fact one can’t summarize and synthesis the core values, tells a lot.
Value – Economics: Your statement, “look into the Russian infrastructure projects and the large number of factories it is building, with Western investment and help,” reveals a lot of reality about Russia and its dependence on the Western private money and moxie. I have been following Russia’s economics and finance, and see it as one of its key weaknesses. It can create its sovereign money and invest it in the best interest of the nation. However, by practicing usury, not enough supply resulting in inflation, and being weak on core capabilities, doesn’t show economic strength.
Vassal Status: Vladimir Putin has talked about Russia working towards economic sovereignty, but the progress is very slow, making it vulnerable to it being manipulated and captured again. Let’s see if Russia achieve complete sovereignty. Hopefully, it won’t let it be betrayed again by the Empire.
Time will tell. Reality trumps delusions and hype!
Well put and totally correct.
Russia is on the right path.
But one thing Putin and his team must ensure is the forces that created the demise of the US and EU do not happen to it – no mass immigration and sexual liberalism and toleration of a drug culture. Tolerate gays etc. but do not let them to promote that type of lifestyle as being the normile.
Orange movement forces funded by Soros will be trying to do that and in Ukraine and Eastern Europe and it must be jumped on.
Its been reported since 2018 that the now discredited Obama is gay and Michelle is a trans and he fooled not only the American public, but the entire world, concealing it. And pushed that agenda. He must be laughing at everyone how he got away with it for so long. It wouldnt have been elected if it had been disclosed.
Control what teachers in schools do is part of the secret to this. And this is what is lacking in the US and the only way to solve it is perhaps require all teacher to do some military service regimentation and training to pass on to their students. And drug test them too. Army teachers (retired officers) in all senior high schools might be an interim measure or installed as principals overseeing things would also help. Many US students need more regimentation to be good citizens.
Yes and I probably will be a Russian century as the author says unless those in the West deal with problems now.
Oh, heck! All kinds of weird and stupid crap gets “reported”. You’re going to have to do better than that if you expect any thinking person to believe that Obama is gay and Michelle trans. There’s a fair chance that I share some of your politics. I’m somewhat socially conservative by modern American standards, but spreading idiotic nonsense only discredits anything useful you might have to say. Disclaimer: I’m no Obama fan, at all.
When I see the migrations changing direction I might start believing. For now that’s not the case for every person in this world who is looking for better life still travels west, preferably to the US. Russia that the author tries to paint is nothing more than wishful thinking.
You need to update your statistics. Last I checked, Russia was in the No. 2 spot in the world for receiving immigrants, after the US, but that is skewed by the proximity to the US of such hellhole countries as Haiti, Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras, plus the long list of American collaborators from Iraq and Afghanistan that are trying to get in now that the US has abandoned them.
Mr. Orlov, enjoyed your essay. This made me smile:
“Theirs has remained a wholesome world of brave, masculine men, of attractive, feminine women and of their above-average, non-gender-confused children.”
It reminds me of the fictional town from Garrison Keillor’s town of Lake Woebegon.
“Welcome to Lake Wobegon, where all the women are strong, all the men are good-looking, and all the children are above average.”
Then he, Mr Keillor would proceed to tell an amusing story about this simple, wholesome town full of good hearted, generous people that we all wished we lived in.
Just at you say in your essay about Russia, the place many of us wish for in our idealized daydreams.
Doubly ironic, in that Keillor was #metoo’d out of a job at NPR as well. Those evil white men, don’t ya know, always got their hands on some innocent fair maiden inappropriately.
I had forgotten that! Thanks for the memory jog.
I specifically had Garrison in mind when I wrote that. His Lake Wobegon is a parody of the US, and what I wrote is a parody of his parody.
Russia, along with China in their own way, are certainly doing traditional Capitalism – in terms of its criteria – better and more effectively than the West. Doing what it says on the tin as it were.
However, the only problematic aspect of this analysis is that it shares with the progressive ideology it analyses a fundamental misunderstanding of the key features and processes of what is referred to as ‘woke.’ The so called ‘left progressives’ are also harboring under the illusion that what is referred to as ‘woke’ is in any way representative of left and progressive values and traditions.
What is referred to as woke’ elevates the primacy of subjective based individual/group narratives over testable evidence based objective social reality, because the key feature of this individualist philosophy rejects the notion of an objective society. Giving primacy to the subjective feelings and narratives of the individual and the group.
This has familiar echoes.
It should do because this is the narrative of “no such thing as society, only the individual and the family” philosophy of Thatcherism.
An approach which should be anathema to any political or social based group, organisation or institution claiming to be progressive or of the left. It is divisive and represents an extremely effective divide and rule Class based attack using the disguise of left/progressive labels. Salami slicing groups in society which do and should have more in common with each other in a hierarchy of oppression sold as “progressive” by identity politics.
Driving a coach and horses through the principle of equality in terms of objective treatment and approach in favour of subjective — ie selective — judgement based on identity and where that subjectively manufactured identity is located within that hierarchy of oppression pecking order and rejecting outright any practical notion of a wider society.
Randism on steroids. Thatchers no such thing as society coming home to roost in a cuckoo that pretends to be ‘left’ and ‘progressive.’
A process and approach which ultra emphasises subjective based differences to divide what should be united. Where Class based action is neutralised in favour of an atomised approach of a war of all against all in order to achieve and maintain control against any practical challenge to the current Western status quo model within that artificially manufactured hierarchy of oppression and the primacy of its narrative. Which is why it is actively supported and financed by authoritarian Western State institutions and private organisations from the police service and judiciary through to corporations and the media — both corporate and in some cases “left” media — across a variety of issues.
Thus arises an intriguing ‘binary’ relationship between extreme individualistic subjectivism and extreme state authoritarianism. Assertion of non-negotiable pseudo-sacrosanct narcissistic power is common to both. Objective law as irreducible sphere of reality is subverted by arbitrary personalism. Might determines right. Autocracy of self-ID is mirrored by autocracy on high.
The political right in the West have been practicing this process and behaviour for far longer than the political left and yet the territory in which this process is located, with its Corporate Establishment right wing philosophical and ideological basis, is being sold and designated not just as “culture wars” by the political right against the supposedly ‘woke’ political left it is also being sold by the right as as originating within and owned by the left.
Something which inexplicably some parts of the political left appears at least comfortable with implicitly accepting, along with all the ‘baggage’ which goes with it, as integral to the political left and its now narrative dominant project.
This rebranding and relabeling something as “left” or “progressive” makes it possible to enforce and get away with any old reactionary policies and behaviours. [ A double whammy because too many on the left are are eagerly embracing this process and its reactionary ideology and insisting it is ‘progressive.’
The political left’s abdication — allowing the authoritarian right to re-frame a reactionary right wing approach and philosophy as belonging to the political left with the left doing a great deal of the heavy lifting to promote and impose it — is a gift to the political right as it allows those on the political right to pose as the sane ones.
Indeed, the political right can barely believe their luck. Not only are significant parts of the political left doing all the heavy lifting for this post-modernist/post structuralist Thatcherite/Randian contagion — which the Establishment elite have injected into the left body politic using Establishment institutions and organisations acting as support for the enforcement of the process and its narratives — it is making it possible for the political right to gain significant ground by presenting themselves as coming to the rescue of the wider society as the last bulwark against mob rule.
Consequently, what is being sold as ‘woke’ is merely the latest iteration of a long tradition of divide and rule politics practiced by Establishment elites in the West based on those same traditional individualistic values and hierarchical structures. Russian and Chinese societies are unlikely to suffer this problem because they are traditionally based on the philosophy of collective rather than individualistic rights.

Is I was reading this, I first thought, “Wow, this one is certainly a typist!” and then thought “Must be a shameless cut and paste.” And the the link at the bottom confirmed it. Shame on you! Pick up your soapbox and go home!
I’ m sorry?
You are taking me to task for posting content I actually wrote myself?
It would seem reasonable to request you read the name at the top of the post and match it with the name of the author in the link.
Great write up, thanks for that, Dave!
What a shame being congratulated and disrespected in the same breath by OP
It was very cogent analysis you wrote here but in need of some editing, other than that, you did a nice job. I agree, as do many others, with you and Lacey, that a lot of the woke stuff appears to be a deliberate, largely successful to date attempt to divide and conquer. With both parties, with a lot of the protest, with a lot of what is being introduced into schools, into corporate internal governance, and a lot of other parts of our society, it really looks like somebody behind the scenes is skilfully pulling strings. Who is doing it, I really have no idea. Soros? That’s just a name to me. What the ultimate goal is, I can’t pretend to know that either. I do not trust, however, that “they”, whoever they are, have my best interests at heart.
Mr. Hansell is indeed the the author of his comment, (I visited the link he posted). In my opinion he is right on every point he makes. A judgement made in haste.
Firstly, thank you Tinker, Qou Vax and jonboinAR for the kind words.
I accept the point made that the selection from the larger article written back in July could have been condensed.
In essence what we are involved with here is expressing thoughts. A process which requires us to think. I don’t vouch for anyone else but the way that works for me is what you think is very much influenced, if not determined, by how you think. I spent almost my entire working life in engineering disciplines and the limited adult education endeavours in systems analysis because that’s how I think.
Consequently I tend to focus on structures and processes and how observed phenomena work, interact and function in a practical sense. Measure twice, cut once. Teasing out common principles and features.
One dimensional? Probably. But objective reality doesn’t take any prisoners.
Hmmm, if what you say is true, about Russia choosing to play the role of being against “multiculturalism”, it would be extremely ironic and revisionist given the long history of Solidarity between the USSR and Afrikan Americans and the Afrikan Diaspora in general.
The renowned musician Paul Robeson is but one example, he was welcomed as an icon by huge crowds in Moscow while at the same time across the Atlantic the FBI and KKK were busy lynching their way to a utopian ethnostate.
In fact RT recently produced a fascinating documentary on the descendants of Afrikan Americans who fled the anti-Black pogroms by thousands and found asylum and refuge in Mother Russia.
Hello dimitri, as usual your description is very realistic. Agreed
I find myself in waiting mode, however uncomfortable it is. I’d like to share a small paragraph from the I.Ching that I find helpful in challenging times: « Waiting is not mere empty hoping. It has the inner certainty to reach the goal. Such certainty alone gives that light which, through perseverance, leads to success. Facing a danger that has to be overcomed, weakness and impatience can do nothing. Only a strong man can stand up to his fate, for his inner security enables him to endure to the end. This strength shows itself in uncompromising truthfulness (with himself). It is only when we have the courage to face things exactly as they are, without any sort of self-déception or illusion, that a light will develop out of events, by which the path to success can be recognized. This recognition must be followed by resolute and persevering action. For only the man who goes to meet his fate resolutely is equipped to deal with it adequately».
Plus a special mention to remind myself: “ In danger, disagreements crop up. General unrest can easily develop in such times, and we lay the blame on one another. He who stays calm will succeed in making things go well in the end”.
I think you’re a little too optimistic, but this is a very well-written if not brilliant article.
When you talk about the toxic left in America they are not left but they are toxic!
It is a right wing construct to confuse and disrupt, to create chaos among working people Cheap-labour conservatives encourage racism, misogyny, homophobia and other forms of bigotry. Why? Bigotry among wage earners distracts them, and keeps them from recognizing their common interests as wage earners.
A united working class is dangerous to corporate America that essentially controls both parties.
Well stated and true for most people have never read the true history of the United States and labor fighting for everything that they ever got, and the Republicans were the worst offenders, from the early days of children working in the garment mills for a Penny or two a day to those who worked in the mines who were obligated to the mine owners who treated them worse than slaves saying it was cheaper to hire new workers rather than shoring up the mines.
America and its history have been the greatest charade of any country, as they learned just how effective propaganda was under old Ben Franklin, and it didn’t take them long to become masters at it.
They went a little too far. Now there is neither a class nor workers. There is a shortage of workers across all industries in the U.S.
Look at the trucking industry, which is missing some 100,000 workers. Blue-collar and mysteriously even white-collar good jobs are being vacated and empty. This phenomenon is called ‘ The Great Resignation’.
El problema es que todas las ganancias de poder de Rusia son siempre por deméritos ajenos antes que por méritos propios. No es lo mismo tener brillo propio, China, que brillar por comparación, Rusia.
Yandex transaltion. Mod:
The problem is that all of Russia’s gains in power are always by other people’s demerits rather than on their own merits. It is not the same to have its own brilliance, China, than to shine by comparison, Russia.
what you say is very correct, but the obligation of RNA vaccination, will kill in an irregular time, “the western frogs in hot water”, before the spirit of russia awakens a sufficiently large number of people to tip the scales in the right direction.
Don’t repeat that in Russia, where spreading medical disinformation is considered a criminal act because it puts lives in danger.
What an analysis!. Wow!
Have planned a trip to Russia in 2023 with “Terre d’Aventure “(Montréal) but I’m keeping m’y fingers crossed because of the Covid. Really want to see that country.
Strongly Christian and do not like what’s valued now in the West.

Great article by Orlov.
I only disagree by a bit.
Orlov states that Putin is masterfully disuniting the West.
I actually think that the West is masterfully disuniting the West. The whole “woke agenda” may be nothing more than a ruse by the Western oligarchs to keep citizens arguing with one another, rather than uniting to stop oligarchic looting.
If so, it backfired.
I live in the United States. People are fed up with woke madness. Those fed-up people are not a minority of bigots. They are a majority of people with common sense.
And they are really fed up with this nonsense.
So it wasn’t Putin.
In an attempt to disunite opposition to the oligarchy, the oligarchy has created a massive opposition to themselves.
All Putin had to do is sit back and watch.
You misread me. Basically, we agree. What I said (in Jest) was that Putin the judo master didn’t even have to compete in order to win. Yes, this was a self-defeat, and that’s my whole thesis! How could you have missed it?
Dmitry,
I must have read too much into your comments on Putin as a judo master.
By the way, I recently read your book, “The Five Stages of Collapse.” It was absolutely brilliant. I couldn’t put it down. You have a knack for laying out truths which are right before our eyes – but which many can’t see due to propaganda narratives.
I am looking forward to your next book.
I never realized when the Berlin Wall came down that separated East and West Germany that it would be moved to encircle my America.
All of the U.S. national media today, is under complete control of the global corporate, fascist syndicate to further its agenda of a unipolar one-world government to enslave the world’s people and destroy individual creativity.
Service to the State is everything; the proles, the hoi polloi, the lǎo bǎi xìng are just flotsam on the dystopian sea, to be cast off like husks after they have been drained of their life-energy.
What makes Mother Russia standout for me is not just the historical awareness of her people’s suffering and courage during all the invader wars that have tried to bind her in chains, steal her wealth and force her to be a whore for them. It was her Orthodox faith buried deep within herself that kept the divine message of Christ alive, no matter what happens to the body.
Russians are survivors because the Holy Spirit is patient and guides them towards the right path. They stumble, repent and remember the sacrifices of their fathers and mothers and shake themselves out of the stupor brought on by Satan’s temptations of material possession and self-indulgent lust for the pleasures of the flesh.
I am a better Christian because of my orthodox faith and I look to Russia as the example for the world. No matter what happens in the future, I pray she remains strong, resolute and wavers not, despite the political slings and arrows that come her way.
On January 7, my brothers and I celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior; a reminder of what once was and is still enshrined in our hearts; the message of hope and love. The Father has never abandoned us; we only need to look within ourselves to embrace the light of truth.
Many blessings upon Russia, for Christ is her salvation.
I appreciate the positive thinking in this article, and I’m sure there is some truth in it.
However, on the ground, my sober assessment is that many Western people I know who tend on the conservative side are convinced Russia (and Putin in particular, as the embodiment of evil) is seeking to reform the USSR and is eager to invade the Baltics and Ukraine, just for starters. That is particularly true of those with any family connection to those former Soviet republics, whether they’ve actually been there or not. They are absolutely convinced.
The more liberal types are convinced that the Russian government (and Putin in particular) hate gays and such like, and hurl them off of rooftops like backward Pakistani villagers. And everything is run by oligarchs and corrupt anyway. If only Russia was more like Finland or something like that.
And, needless to say, news stories on Russia (and China) run easily 10:1 as highly unfavorable, and almost no mostly positive stories. All that energetic 24/7 bashing has a cumulative effect.
Don’t shoot the messenger here, this is just my personal assessment of the current Western public mindset. I’m actually not sure it’s better than during the Cold War.
People do not understand that all the clichés you enumerate have been shaping the Western public mindset for centuries. They have been inculcated in the collective mind of the ‘West’ since, at least, the time of Ivan the Terrible to create an ‘image’ of Russia as the ‘alien other’, the embodiment of ‘evil’. It is constitutive of the ‘image’ that the West created of itself as the embodiment of everything ‘good’, which fights against ‘evil’. Admission that there might be something ‘good’ in Russia would shatter ‘Western self-confidence’ that it is the only bringer of light for peoples sunk in ‘darkness’.
That’s exactly right. The impression Bill describes is created programmatically. Every news organization in the US (and in the West generally) is required by its owners to serve as a clearing house for bad news about Russia while disregarding the good news. It is pointless to try to battle this, since this is not your news media. But it is amusing to see the reaction of the people who actually get to see Russia, as happened during the World Cup tournament: the absolute shock and amazement, and the realization that they’ve been continuously lied to by corporate media hacks, is quite delicious.
If you have not see “Catherine Austin Fitts | 2nd Full Interview | Planet Lockdown” (November 30, 2021) then it a well constructed 53min overview of the situation in focus. Highly recommened. Covers a lot of ground and deeply.

Add to this the little “Meet Ameca” video on RT’s page and one can see the 1%’s vision of the future from the central control room. The only difference between the China’s state-capitlism and USA trends towards Central-bank stat-ism is the nature of the 1% in their control rooms. The binnary polarity is dangerously hot.
The question I have is: Where is Russia (as a civilization) in this 3-way complex?
It would seem to me they are practicing ‘critical distance’ — a kind of 3rd aspect “Brahma” role in the Hindu trinitine religious/spiritual system.
Is there a middle way between the China and banker-USA models?
If so is Russia feeling the stones to cross the river as well?
And if not, why? … and if so, then whence to/towards?
“They will try anything that they think might help to defer the moment when they will be forced to admit the horrible truth: that they have checked themselves into an insane asylum in Hell and they can’t check out”
This situation that the collective West has found themselves in right now, they have created entirely on their own. It reminds me of the famous Eagles song “Hotel California” and the last verse;
“Last thing I remember, I was
Running for the door
I had to find the passage back
To the place I was before
“Relax, ” said the night man,
“We are programmed to receive.
You can check-out any time you like,
But you can never leave! “
It’s so nice to know my veiled US cultural references are working so perfectly! Thanks for the feedback.
I get some of the problems with ‘wokeness’, but neo-Confederate backwardness and rage are the more pressing problems. For example, I find ‘pregnant people’ annoying as a term, but abortion bans are outrageous. As a father of two daughters, I insist their rights be respected and their ability to participate in civic life preserved.
Arguably, transgenderism is attempting to usurp women’s rights. But right wingers subvert democracy and are poisoning American political life with violence and threats of violence.
Lastly, whiteness is a trap for Russia and for Russians. Leave that to the pitiful Ukronazis. Russia will never be accepted as white. The Anglo arbiters of whiteness will not permit it. In any event, Russians do not think like white people. If they did, they could not accept a relationship of equals with China. Fact, not opinion.
Good heavens, where to start?
Pendulums have two apogees, with ‘wokeness’ challenging the traditional ethos of US society it is bound to generate – and rightly so – the counter point. ‘Wokeness’ particularly has the support of the media, the politicians, the government bureaucracy, and academia which has broken the social contract on which those institutions receive their consent to rule. That generates anger.
From my review of the latest US elections, I’d look left and not right as to who messed up your elections. The numbers are statistically impossible supporting Biden. The problem you have is that the bureaucracy will ensure that the truth will never see the light of day.
I don’t see USAn ‘right wingers’ demonstrating much on the streets but I did see your BLM and Antifa doing their ‘mostly peaceful’ looting and burning. Please explain how the threat of violence on your right is so much worse than the actual violence on your left.
Finally – whiteness – oh dear. People are people regardless of their colour, Negroes almost completely eliminated the Kalahari Bushmen, the Koreans who invaded Japan almost destroyed the Anu, the original peoples of the Caribbean were essentially wiped out by South American peoples long before the dreaded ‘whites’ came. There are many examples if you’re not too afraid to dig for it. This nonsense of attributing all evils on a skin colour needs to cease.
As a ‘white’ Anglo-Saxon/Slavic/Celt I’ve worked with many cultures, from many different ethnic groups, and had zero problems based on skin colour. People need to be judged on their competence, and desire to improve current state in a positive manner. I don’t see BLM or ‘wokesters’ doing either of those.
I personally think Mr Orlov makes a good point, Russia – today – is a beacon of sanity in a world gone mad and there is definitely an allure for those of us who stand aghast at the collective insanity in the west.
1) Corporatists who a) lust for booty (probably in more than one sense) and power and fail to act as pillars of the community setting the example for all to see and b) de-industrialized the country and 2) power and feminism that a) expanded women’s rights without changing men’s other than convincing the public real men are jingoistic gun-toting pindos (then wearing Hawaiian or even pink short-sleeve dress shirts is apparently okay), b) created an imbalanced situation, and c) caused women’s attitudes to become very toxic all undoubtedly made at least some otherwise cisgender Caucasian males easy prey for homosexuality and male-to-female transgenderism. They are driven away. Some of the women with toxic attitudes that drove then away went the other way (lesbianism and female-to-male-transgenderism). I do not buy the idea that wokeness just merely sprung out of Zues’es head.
It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society. — Jiddu Krishnamurti
Conditions that made cooking up wokism even possible, at least in its transparently extreme and weaponized form, were decades in the making and I blame the entire increasingly toxic latitudinal political limbo stick and those who keep putting it in an ever lower position. If anything, the right is almost always at least a little bit in the lead.
@ William H,
I generally agree with your comments: ” I do not buy the idea that wokeness just merely sprung out of Zues’es head.” This must have been planned to so suddenly appear, it begs the question of where and why and although I have some theories there is too much empirical data missing for a definitive conclusion.
“… were decades in the making and I blame the entire increasingly toxic latitudinal political limbo stick and those who keep putting it in an ever lower position.” This would also be difficult to disagree with. My problem is that parents should have been inoculating their children against the bar lowering but it appears that the ethos of the USA shifted and eliminated that option.
Cheers!
I testify here to the reality described by Dmitri Orlov because I am part of it.
Here from France I feel like an underground dissident in my own country, what I do not know is the number, because everyone is observing and keeps its own values secret.
Like us alone, thousands, hundreds of thousands or millions?
Thanks to The Saker, there exists this resource: https://lesakerfrancophone.fr/category/auteurs/orlov Everything I write ends up there eventually, translated into French. Perhaps you could circulate links to it and use it to start a discussion and build some sort of secret community of like-minded people in France?
You know the answer.
1_ nice diagnosis and picture Dmitry (greetings from Boston)
2) there were two sentences at the end (conclusion) which were not joined (for I guess literary purposes- not sure) but I believe they would make a better conclusion (more logical) if they were they were joined into one sentence or idea:
(I will try to elaborate as best as I can … tricky/little uncomfortable topic … but I will give it a shot)
2a) pertaining to the West and burning fires in Hell (1st idea) and the second sentence mentioning the of “Armageddon” (2nd idea) (Biblical and Qu’ranic connotations- since they were mentioned indirectly and directly there)
3) I am basing my ideas off of the Islamic scholar academic Sheik Imran Hossen who totally deserves the credit for most of what would be considered “Islamic Escotology” because he is the only scholar I have run across whom I consistently finds explains parts of the Qu’ran or Haddiths (both symbolic at times- both need interpretation) in a manor that just makes complete sense with the political and economic spheres of modern Western Civilization.
4) So there is there line in the Hadith (last Prophet/Head of State sayings) referencing the last 10 signs of before the Day of Judgement- (they are out of order – and Mr. Hossen is the only scholar I ran across in my entire life who managed to put them ( or configure them – in a way which may suggest which one is the 1st of the last 10) also he also managed to give a suggested hypothetical reason why one of the titles (only God knows for certain- but if one is guided properly they are allowed to venture an explanation (until someone proves it false- which he has a strong track record of being correct- so I would put my money on his explanation) of the Qu’ran was titled “Dukhan” or “smoke.”
5) So scholar Hossen managed to connect the two ideas (God mentioning a title to one Surah called “Smoke” drawing attention to it’s importance– and the last of the 10 signs (Hadith)– which also mentioned the idea of “Smoke” as a one of the major signs before Judgment (only 10 of them- all the minor signs (lots of them have passed already-for example one obvious one was including women being dressed but still naked (see spandex for an explanation – so yes the minor signs already passed us by already- while we were sleeping and eating dinner)
6) I believe (going by memory) that the hadith mentioned smoke of a planetary nature- that is encompassing the entire planet. ( all other scholars seem to incorrectly reference the idea of smoke happening intermediary, that is happening at different times in history – so they seem to draw the wrong conclusion that it refers to the “general idea” of wars increasing (that is the smoke caused by bombs going off) –
7) However this would only pertain to the “idea of planetary smoke” falling in minor sign category not the major sign one which is where it falls under, so it has to be one single event of smoke (for it to be a major sign)
8) The only person who I know of on planet earth whom I heard mention it (Mr.Sheikh Imran Hosien) correctly with a reasonable explanation was the “smoke” comes from 100’s or 1000’s of nuclear bombs all going off at the same time.
9) The Qu’ran mentions it (so there is a God element to all of this direction) I do not remember where I read it but I do remember it mentioning it (the smoke part ) lasting for a specified number of days- BUT most importantly it mentions the “smoke” being a sever punishment for all of mankind to deal with;
10) the fires may burn on the parts of the earth hit the most…but the rest of the planet may or may not be breathing for X number of days (like having covid symptoms to the exponential degree- I am not preve to actual events – in the future – but referenced already (say past tense) but this seems a likely explanation. )
11) So I would mention the Smoke and fire, and Armageddon in the same sentence as they are all related (quite literally)
12) I take no credit for these thoughts they are all based Sheikh Scholar Imran Hosein analysis of Quran and Hadith
13) …and all the other 9 signs fall at an ever faster pace after the first one.
14) so the rest of the article was spectacular, just that little glitch at the end needed some “debuggn’.
Yes, awesome post indeed. The Holy Quran also speaks of ‘Those who shoot arrows into the sky, only to have them return on top of themselves…As far an ‘ Al-Dukhan, ‘ yes, most schools of thought, mine, the Hanafi refer to this as radiation. Remember, the Hadith is heavy on symbolism, but ‘ Dukhan’-‘Smoke’-‘Radiation’ correlates in the Surah ‘ Al-Dukhan’.
And you are correct, and knowledged Shiek will tell you that there are the small, signs, and then the major 10 signs for the coming ‘ Day of Judgment ‘.
My father, who is a scholar in this field, spoke to me years ago about this important subject. Most of the smaller signs have manifested themselves. None of the major signs have, yet. And my father is very scholarly on the subject, along with his colleagues. He also memorized the whole Holy Quran by heart. He did so when he was imprisoned in one of Gaddafi’s prisons incognito for 7.5 years for political reasons.
I know, off-topic. Sheik Imran Hosein is an awesome source of Islamic knowledge.
For anyone interested in the subject ; Yes, its off-topic, yet important :

The best thing I have read in a long time.
Forgive me but the tone of the article is excessively optimistic. Certainly, compared to the final years of the USSR and 1990’s neoliberal genocide, the Russian world is in a much better shape. But honestly, compared to the Gaidar era even a shotgun to the finger sounds pleasant. The West may be in decline but in Russia very few things have been institutionally enshrined. The Constitution still forbids “ideologies” for God’s sake!
When it comes to questions of civilizational decay and rise, a famous Japanese poem comes to mind:
世の中は / 地獄の上の / 花見かな
In this world / We walk on the roof of hell / Gazing at flowers
The author claims Russians know and cherish their history. Marvellous. But mankind has come a long way from the lessons of Bernays, Goebbels, the Tavistock Institute and general psycho-historical warfare. It is actually rather simple to pervert or destroy a society’s values, traditions, mores. Look no further than to the entertainment industry, which I’m sure are not very different in Russia than it is in the West (because it is generally the same everywhere), otherwise people like Morgenstern (hopefully I’m not blaming the wrong person) would not be allowed to make music. And music, movies etc all affect younger generations especially strongly. Okay, the Soviet educated people can still use their brains but one should never underestimate the enemy’s capacity to overrun and undermine our value system. One single generation under internet pornography, McDonald’s and Hollywood and look what heights of nihilism and perversion can afflict a society.
“Russia has gained control of it [the dominant discourse]”. This is very hyperbolic. Is Reuters Russian? Do The Guardian, the NYT report truthfully on Russia-related matters? What about Wikipedia, what does it say about Crimea? What does Encyclopaedia Britannica has to say on Ancient Rus? Are they conveying the same historical understanding as the majority of the “State-forming people” (a good amend by the way) has? Moreover, how hard do people think it is to take over a country’s educational editorial system and write its “newly-revised” History books? How hard could it be to impose Twilight, 50 Shades of Grey, Noah Harari’s bio-neuroscience and now even worse stuff? We walk on the roofs of hell and newer generations are never safe from artificially-induced civilizational decay and psycho-informational conquest. I know that, I myself grew up in such scenario.
The West being in decay should remind us of something else. A decayed society doesn’t tend to care for the truth. It tends to follow whatever idea/personality/tendency it finds more appealing to him/her on a personal and professional level. If “shit really hits the fan” and people start living under anarcho-capitalist dystopia (and remember, for some American libertarians and conservatives, that is utopia), what incentive will they have to parse through all Western propaganda? As much as someone’s idea on Russia might be positive, one cannot not be influenced by his own environment, family, friends, co-workers etc.
Another thing. Yeltsin’s monument remains there. Gorbachev is still featured on TASS, so I suppose people still listen to this traitor’s opinions. Lenin’s mausoleum is in an eternal limbo. The Russian establishment neither chooses to display it accordingly as part of its history nor does it bury Lenin decently someplace else. I don’t want to sound rude but that’s not the M.O. of a society with assured knowledge and assessment of its past. And the State bureaucracy still has no systematic, organized blueprint, set of values, religious and/or ideological, to follow. Putin and many others say many interesting things but are they neatly organized at a national, cultural and civilizational level? This is the main problem.
Those are some of my worries. I may have lost something in translation but it seems to me the author simply wants to promote Russia as “the West as the West should have been” or “Christianity without the Vatican”, as it should be, and I agree with such assessment by the way, but is it enough? Where’s that systematic, inspiring document/law/decree outlining Russia’s national, cultural, civilizational mission? In my dreams, drafted by Special Plenipotentiary Minister of Culture, above all others, Aleksandr Dugin… Put Fursov in Education and Glazyev in the Central Bank. Look, I can dream, it’s still free.
I’m pretty sure , and more than that . That ex EU are closing its ties to Russia and the Eastern block . It’s a question about realpolitik . Russia and friends around the country , getting all stronger . You must count in China when you are talking about East and West . Europe needs Russia and Russia is a part of Europe .
Nothing is ever enough! And, yes, we can all dream, although this, to me is the stuff of nightmares:
“In my dreams, drafted by Special Plenipotentiary Minister of Culture, above all others, Aleksandr Dugin… Put Fursov in Education and Glazyev in the Central Bank.”
I almost threw up a little bit when I read that. These are all interesting people, but each one is limited in a variety of specific ways. That, to me, is a picture of pure hell: arbitrary leadership by those who are as opinionated as they are unskilled in compromise.
Russian history has to be left as confusing as it is complex. There are many problems and questions that are best left unsolved.
I want all sorts of social poisons to circulate, but in limited quantities, so that antibodies against them have a chance to develop, and dealt with when they get out of hand. (That miscreant Morgenstern with the 666 tattooed above his left eyebrow you mention has fled the country at the first hint of a criminal investigation and is now in Dubai.)
I want there to be a distinct lack of a dominant ideology. Russia must never paint a target on its back the way it did with communism. Russia can never be tidy the way you imagine in your own mind. In reality, it can only be incredibly messy but very much alive, full of contradictions and always a work in progress.
An exceptionally wise comment. Thank you.
@DO: ” Russia can never be tidy the way you imagine in your own mind. In reality, it can only be incredibly messy but very much alive, full of contradictions and always a work in progress.”
Orlov knows his Chekhov; who said, in conversation with Gorky in the Crimea: “This is a great, big, clumsy country”. From Orlov’s remark I see that Chekhov’s plays embody this Russia, ” incredibly messy but very much alive, full of contradictions and always a work in progress.” .
Perhaps in limited quantities it is sometimes medicine? Of course, the West now not just the South, and U.S. in particular are gulping down bottles of various brands of blue artificial punch in the garage.
Screeches like this reveal another technique of the anti-Russia psy-op. Russia is ruled by incompetents who underestimate the enemy’s capacity to overrun and undermine its value system! Or, worse, by corrupt ones conniving with the enemy to subvert Russia’s national, cultural, civilizational mission (and of the nebulous ‘Slavs’). Traitors!
Personally I’ve never encountered an ideology that wasn’t a sorry attempt to justify injustice. As for Russia, all the “goodies” you seem to attribute to ideologies can readily be found (and it seems to me, in a much more profound and complete form) in the morals and ethics promoted in the Orthodox Christian faith. By the way, have you ever wandered how and why, throughout history, ideologies and their propaganda apparently only grow teeth when spoon fed with unlimited currency, and their effects revert as soon as they are starved? One may find great comfort and reason for optimism in answering this question. Well, at least I do.
wonderful text. Congratulations on your research, clarity and cosmovision. The West is starting to envy Putin and Russia. Envy of some and hate of others! Here in the resistance there are also the unconscious fifth column. They did not fully understand the meaning of the expression: “in the West all things underwent reversal and transformation”. The West played at being God and got it wrong! Slavs and many Russians have to stop envying the lies and illusions of the West. At this moment the empire takes its standards, music and culture to corrupt some Slavic countries!!!
Anywhere Jews settle in large numbers, a degeneration of society occurs.
Does anyone here know why the Byzantine Empire lasted longer than any other empire in the history of the world, a mind-boggling 1200 years ? Until exhaustive wars against Persia and finally the Islamic conquest brought her down ?
Well, the Byzantines studied the reasons for the collapse of prior empires. And they enacted three laws, very, very strictly, punishable by death.
1 – No Jews in Finance
2 – No Jews in Education
3 – No Jews in Government
So long as Russia pays strict attention to its Jewish money, T.V. moguls, it will be okay. As most of it, money even today is Jewish controlled. Most of its Billionaires are Jewish.
These people I am referring to are demonically smart and possess extreme power worldwide. If Russia follows your illustrious script, which I agree with, and succeeds, it is going to need China. Without China, in the long run, God help you.
China is reducing global poverty rates by leaps and bounds. And that counts a lot. It has to be Russia and China standing together, not just Russia. Because when everything falls apart totally in the west, they will come back to their roots, in the Pale of Settlement, Crimea, etc.
In China, they can not disguise themselves, they would stand out like chickens in a wolf’s den. In Russia, they can.
These people I am referring to, have taken down every civilization since the Babylonians.
“Anywhere Jews settle in large numbers, a degeneration of society occurs.”
OR… Jews randomly disperse after each pogrom and then flock into country where they can profit the most.
Jews has millennial experience to pinpoint the country at the end of their historical cycle where patriotic feeling are diminished. Only in such countries is possible that imigrant nation seize all pillars of power by bribing officials in already hopelessly corrupt system. Jewish elite always bails out before $#!♧ hits the fan. Jewish commoners left behind are used as perfect scapegoats for native corrupt oligarchy. Inevitable decline would happen with or without Jews.
Without wanting to diminish Zionists crimes, I can’t stay silent when very real problems are addressed ONLY to Jewish people.
Analogy would be to prosecute assassins family, while assassin himself and his employer are left scot-free. In the latest iteration, Employer is, on this blog, known as Empire. Zionists work for them for more than a century as treasure keepers, advisers, lawyers, schollars, and media illusionist mages. For their service they was granted Land, Castle and peasants. And pat on the back to feed their delusion of grandeur.
When Zionists outlive their usefulness, or try to betray, carefully groomed horde of various anti-Semit groups will make short work of them.
It is not plausible that extremely narcisistic oligarchy backed by 10 times larger nation that ruled the world (India & China included) forfeits the pillars of power to small countryless nation without any military. (Early 20.century) We can not be sure why they did it. It is possible that in they anticipated series of populist revolutions and decided to hide behind shadows of multiple proxies. Jews are the most usefull, still only one of those.
Smart move. Maybe this time Zionists made fatal mistake to mark wrong (more cunning) host?
Well see.
Hello Folks,
The ideas put forth in this article have long occurred to me and I’ve actually taken some baby-steps
in that direction. However, instead of yielding more clues and leads to pursue, my initial attempts
have been utterly stymied.
I have, on many occasions in my life, started new ideas and learned new things. I have started from
zero and been able to learn and develop from there. In many cases this is a challenging and rewarding process that gives some meaning to life. However, in some cases there are simply impenetrable walls in my path that make progress simply too difficult. That has been my unfortunate experience with my Russian endeavor. So I’d like to pick some brains here and perhaps restart this idea.
More particularly…
Suppose I make it my goal to emigrate to Russia. What are the actual mechanics of doing this?
First of all, I should probably make an attempt to learn some of the language. That I can pursue on
my own initiative. I suspect that in doing this I can find other beginner learners online and some of
them will have deeper connections into Russian society. So that’s a start.
Next, I’ll probably want to visit the country and look around.
The Russians have an online system for applying for visas. Lil o’ me cannot figure this out. It’s far, far too ponderous in asking all sorts of information about employment history and educational history and lots of other things. I have lived a rather, ahem, unconventional life that doesn’t easily fit into this bureaucratic scheme and have thus been discouraged in proceeding further.
Perhaps I might have better luck in getting a visa through an agency that does this. Alas, I have no leads to any lawyer or agency that does this. Internet searches have yielded mostly garbage and scams, but nothing that I’d feel confident in pursuing further.
Perhaps my best bet would be to find the smallest and simplest travel-agency trip as an initial visit. In that way the travel agency folks will hook me up with visa application expertise and I expect that the very limited nature of the visit would be the easiest thing to get approved. In doing this I establish an initial history with the Russian authorities, which, assuming I behave myself, will probably make future visas easier to get authorized.
Next, I want to visit the country for a longer period of time on a more open-ended mission. Imagine just going there first and living in hotels, taking trains, and renting cars, until I can find longer-term accommodations. I can’t imagine how this twisted plan would fit into a visa application, so I’d need to figure this out. At some point point I imagine border officials might ask about the purpose of my visit. “Wander aimlessly around” sounds like a difficult thing to get approved and “I want to immigrate to your great country” sounds reckless and insincere at this early stage of the game.
I think that a one-year visa for my plan of general exploration would be an excellent mile-stone to shoot for. Neither trivial nor impossible to achieve and it would provide an excellent foundation for further development.
Maybe I’m fretting over nothing and making this needlessly complicated.
I would be very interested in hearing critique, and concrete suggestions from the rest of you all.
Thanks.
You’re going to have to work out how to fit your “unconventional life” into the Russian visa form. It is a mandatory requirement to obtain a visa. Work out where you want to go, and get a Tourist visa listing those locations.
I think that the only thing you could try initially is to buy an all-in guided tour of Moscow and St. Petersburg and see how it goes. The tour operator will take care of everything, including the tourist visa.
As far as learning Russian, learn Spanish first and try living in Latin America. Spanish is x10 easier. If you can’t learn Spanish, don’t even try Russian.
Re: learning Spanish and living in Latin America, are there any specific countries you would or wouldn’t recommend? For instance, how does Mexico sound?
@Dmitry
Don’t get me wrong, but how come some people who aren’t even from E. European countries learn Russian then? I think what matters is the effort one puts into learning and the passion he has for the language.
Very nice article, Mr. Orlov, written with vigor!
However, as you say in answer to another commenter, Russia is complicated, always a work in progress. One of these “works in progress” I would include the healthcare – a field I am very familiar with. I have seen statistics how the number of physicians is dropping, how the pay system is a dis-incentive to become a specialist physician, how the physicians are leaving the province and try to get into Moscow or St. Petersburg, how the number of provincial first aid clinics is dropping; hospitals are not very modern, lots of missing infrastructure, decaying facilities. The large metropolitan areas are better off than the province. There is ‘hyperspecialization’ – for example, a cardiologist who orders an ECG, refers the patient to a colleague who does exclusively ECG’s !. President Putin some years ago has made moves to improve the situation of physicians, but so far there is little change.
I think that the view of Russia as an alternative to the “free, liberal West” would be much improved if there would be less centralization on Moscow and St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Kazan.
I can only imagine, and I cannot even begin to comprehend, how difficult it is to rule over Russia, with its huge vast space and relatively small population of Slavic people. But I wish Russia all the Best. It has the potential to become the new ‘shining city’, without being “rainbowed” into shape by Western gurus.
Agree with everything in the article. I am thinking Russia would be an even better destination but for only its somewhat difficult language. Do you think that at some point English as a second language could become more widespread, and would that help people decide to move there? Currently the language problem is probably the biggest limiting factor for people thinking of immigrating.
Right now English is a mandatory subject in Russian schools, but this may change. China has already eliminated the English mandate, finding that it is largely useless. Russia may at some point do the same. I would be all in favor of this change. Why waste kids’ time memorizing a ridiculous and arcane “spelling system” when machine translation is available? The idea that people who do not speak Russian fluently and aren’t conversant with the culture might move to Russia simply because “the grass is greener” is unlikely to go over well. If you want to move to Russia, you have to either be Russian or be willing to become Russian.
Here’s an amusing but revealing joke:
What do you call someone who speaks three languages? Trilingual.
What do you call someone who speaks two languages? Bilingual.
Who do you call someone who only speaks one language? An American.
Amuricans go off to another country and act all exasperated because–horror of horrors–the “natives” can’t or won’t speak English!
That’s chutzpah.
Its not all the Americans fault, they inherited it from the British. All nations who’s mother tongue is predominantly English have this problem with learning other languages (USA, England, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Scotland, Wales). It comes back to the origin of today’s English, a pigeon language made up of dark age old German (Anglo-Saxon), Danish (Vikings!), Medieval French (Normans) and Latin (Catholic church). It’s a language that largely has to be learnt by wrote since there are so many illogical inconsistencies in it, which if that is your initial experience of learning a language puts you off learning others. Further the grammatically structure of the language is different from other European Languages. If translating from French to German, usually you only have to change the words, but not the overall structure of the sentence. Not so when translating from English to French when not just the words but the structure of the sentence has to be changed to make sense. That means you have to change the way you think, this is hard work when you are habituated to thinking in English. It’s not so bad the other way around, English was in origin a pigeon language, so most people who want to can pick up enough to get by in specific circumstances. However this gives rise to another problem in that monoglot English speakers have assumed that the rest of the world speaks English, when most of the rest of the world who want to actually speak pigeon English, which can be very different from place to place, hence exasperation! Well I blame the Danes and the Normans for invading England and bastardizing our language, if it wasn’t for them English would still have a regular European Grammatical system and it would be a lot easier for us and our colonial relatives to learn other languages.
The day Edward Snowden was given refuge was the day it all changed
This is why the public opinion in US and EU that Russia is a great thret for them.. according to recent poll..And this why NATO is threating Russia day and night with..All options on the table and sever sanctions while we did not here any refusal or objection naether from the people or the Republicans in the Congress..!!!!!????
Thank you, great article. I always thought Mr Putin skillfully was giving the west enough rope to hang themselves. People around the world not only the western people started to see the real face and the real values of the west. The west wanted to divide Russia but ending up dividing their own people and uniting the Russian people more than ever before. Not that the Russian people were ever not united, but there some smartphone misguided youth were sold on the land of the opportunity and live your dream mantra. That is the difference between the “woke culture” and “woke up”.
Just a moment to current affairs because they so clearly illustrate Dmitry’s thesis. Makes me think of Putin saying the dogs bark but the caravan moves on.
The dogs have started barking about the Putin/Biden* meeting and it is all over the media that Biden* says he will not accept any red lines from Putin.
Refer RT and Tass. I’ve not read any Russian media yet. But it seems like the insults before an important meeting (if this one is important) are in full swing, and what is new. They always do this perhaps to psyche themselves up a little.
It will be interesting to see when this meeting takes place. Biden* may first go and drink some of their own brew of coolaid at the Democracy Summit on December 9-10. And it has been announced that Putin visits India on the 6th. (India has accepted the invite to the Democracy Summit).
By the looks of things, we better make our Christmas preparations now (depends if and when you celebrate) because a hot hot December may be shapin’ up.
A Russian century according to Dmitry? Perhaps we will test that thesis in the next few weeks. :-)
Also take note of the ‘Arctic Fox’ hot meme, hilariously laid out by Pepe Escobar:
When this conflagration of mass insanity finally burns itself out, it is Russia that will have the civilizational seed stock with which to re-fertilize the devastated cultural landscape of the West. – quote: Dmitry Orlov
Tass reporting B v P on Tues 7th Dec. Maybe B can stay awake whilst awaiting his teleprompter supplied answers?
If he attends the democracy thingy next days….is it a set up opportunistic success to be claimed for B with lauding praise be ….or B to announce that the whole bunch of attendees must surely support USA( finance is welcome for this new crusade they must applaud) in further action for democracy against a Russia that will not accept their kind of corruption and warped vision for human destiny…….oh boy.
The speedy way to disaster, grade b style, who gets a chance next? the c’s and d’s
When I see how closely Russia is following the West on corona I doubt how long it will be able to keep the woke madness at a distance.

It’s really amusing how alt media in the West has started holding up the standard Western propaganda line when it comes to Covid and Russia. The linked to article is garbage. My article is not, I hope, and—please note!—it is NOT about Covid.
Dmitry you write as if you are a blind follower of vladimir putin!! I am totally in favor of peaceful coexistence neutrality isolationism & America minding its own business! But Rossikaya has lots of problems and so does America anyways! Russians solve their problems and Americans solve our problems! Today your writings were nationalistic not patriotic but thats your right and I disagree! The real problems industrial countries are food & fuel shortage
I am not going anywhere, and so I am not following anyone. Your claim of nationalism is offensive. I merely observe, and what I have observed is that the US has lost and Russia has won. But that message is not widely distributed, so I am trying to help out with that.
America’s problem is that Americans have been living beyond their means for decades, and now their standard of living has to drop by a factor of 10 or more. Actually, it’s more of a predicament.
There are no food or fuel shortages in Russia and none are forecast for the next century at least.
You are absolutely right on target. After reading your comment I remembered two statements one by Bill Clinton and the other by Obama. Right after 911 and before the attack on Afghanistan Clinton said we should be careful how we respond response to 911 so when/ if we are not the big boy on the block the world be kind to us. The quote is not verbatim. Obama said after he won the elections and before assumed the office said, we consume 25% of the world energy and assume it is o. K. with the world, that is not reasonable. I heard them both on TV.
It seemed to me then and more now they knew the fall of the empire is inevitable and they were preparing the American public. The did a poor job of preparing. And they had doubts about dividing up Russia and blunder its natural resources.
As far as living beyond our means meaning Americans that is for the most part truthful! Our treasury department has printed way too much money which I would call Weimaresque and we know where that led AKA the rise of fascism in Germany! I have respect for Russians and there not wanting nato putting troops and or missiles even closer to their borders. I was not trying to offend you but every country has positives & negatives. I think that every politician should cut the crap with all this anti-Russian bull crap. We should mind our business & the pro war chicken hawks should watch The Russians Are Coming Alan Arkin movie and note I have been reading and learning from you for over 10 years. We agree more than we disagree thank you for your feedback Dmitry
Eat the monopolists who have their own personal cruise ships, and that is 49% of the problem solved right there. Make houses airtight, superinsulate, and use heat exchangers to recover about 90% of the heat or coolness depending on the season and that is another 49%. Or something like that. Change building codes so the above is done to new housing stock during construction. Change tax codes to make single-suite dwellings more expensive.
The if the excesses of the top 10% are halted and the bottom 90% just live with just more efficiency and less resource waste it should only be a 90% drop for them on paper at worst.
“Could it be that they have accidentally discovered who their true enemy is, and that it is… they themselves? “
Some opponents suspected that in 1994 and sent others to test the hypothesis in situ in August 1994.
However some hosts had moved out of Potemkin villages, since mirrors proved more productive, as had been established through many “experiments” from the 1970’s onwards.
So the hypothesis testers returned to assure the assembly not to worry, they were still in control by way of collaborating “oligarchs”, “politicians”, and various “enemies of the people”, which facilitated many surprises from 1998 onwards, illustrating that premature ejaculations increase future angst.
The forthcoming “Democracy meeting” is a reprise of the August 1994 odyssey to test the hypothesis with different participants.
Machine translation:
It’s hard to oppose, or to correct the article by Dmitry Orlov in his simple way to read and well-spoken (from my point of view, is not an analyst of geopolitica, and court), and covering the essentials of modern history, and the massive changes that have been reported, only noticing a flaw, I see the grave, which was in the period after World War II, and the immense destruction of lives and property that is for the American Empire and its NATO was running, and at the same time, laying siege to the world with its military bases, training camps and torture! I do not think it is unnatural the reaction of the last generations in relation to the behavior of the only Empire, which has been revealing and confirming the formula as someone defined it in 2005: ” the EE UU have no friends or allies, they only have interests” the AUKUS and its sanctions to the whole world it was not easy to go unnoticed! People are stunned by so much media confusion, but there are facts that make them think!
The methods of subversion of the aristocracy of a county being made servile and obedient was nicely summed up long ago by Tacitus, as>
“Step by step they were led to things which dispose to vice, the lounge, the bath, the elegant banquet. All this in their ignorance they called civilisation, when it was but a part of their servitude.”
What he fails to say is that the Masters are also enslaved by this process, and, in Time, they themselves succumb to vice and delusion. By this process the aristocracy becomes non-aristos and thus unable to rule. They, instead, murder virtue where ever that can, and embrace vice all the more.
As we see in “the western elite” or shall we say “the ruling class of the 4th Reich”? Every manner of corruption and crime and perversion, even now encouraging the most vile sort of behavior with children.
The famous sodomite artist and writer Wm Burroughs knew his field of expertise when he wrote> “Hustlers of the world beware the one mark you cannot beat, the mark inside.”
This internal contradiction in the US was the focus-topic of Melville’s “The Confidence Man”.
One may speculate as to when, having looted every thing of value, it will occur that they can no longer pay the bailiffs the army the cops… Then? What?
Hello Mr. Orlov,
Thank you for another enlightning article. Much of what you share with us today is valid and solid.
However, I would prescribe a healthy dash of humility as you analyze the unpredictable unfolding International scene. Please keep up the good work.
I was amazed when I read the first sentences of this article, which are so true, then my spirits began to sink a bit, sorry, but it didn’t seem to go very far, other than repeat and describe a political scenario and the truth of the opening sentences and others in relation to this, well , I thought it was viewed through pink coloured glasses somewhat ! Why not, it makes a grand change, and three cheers Dimity Orlov!
Once I mentioned the general temptation of arrogance or egoism (what word to use…) to Russians, and the tendency towards this, now I observe the same thing from westerners speaking about Russia – lol!, anyhow, at the time when I wrote this, people were appalled- what -?! How dare she ?!
Where is the world going…. China is a very, very big factor in relation to the current geopolitical growing crisis, things could change radically through war for instance, different major factors s could tip the current situation which is like a vacuum in some parts, stagnant in others, disintegrating, toppling, in slow motion, so far….
New video just out – Is US-NATO Provoking Russia in Ukraine? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HknI3lVASFg
” Is US-NATO Provoking Russia in Ukraine?”
One of the obfuscation affected by looking into a mirror is a notion of sole agency.
Provoking requires at least one to attempt to provoke and another to be provoked.
After the collapse of the US /West Russia will become a beacon of hope for the world. It will have millions of migrants streaming in from all corners of the world. It will become a multi-ethnic, multi-religious, multi-racial paradise.
I think Orlov is looking into a future that hasn’t yet arrived but can be seen on the horizon if present trends in the West continue. As to those who say Hungary or Poland might become refuges I would answer not as long as they’re chained to the EU.
No, I am looking into the present. It is in the present that the change in perception and the expansion of Russia’s soft power has taken place.
I like the article but as much as I’d like it to be true it’s too optimistic for my taste.
Let’s not write off the empire of chaos (as Pepe coined it perfectly) too easily, never underestimate the forces with no morality whatsoever. As they’re still winning in many ways, losing some battles, yes, but we should look at the big picture (war is still far from being over, but it has started). West is still ruling the world (economy, sports, culture, you name it); it’s running the MSM, internet and minds of young people are thoroughly controlled by them (even good deal of RF, east – and that’s getting worse not better); the whole world is worshiping the money (it’s de facto the main religion and getting worse not better) and is utterly corruptible (which works in their favor); people in the west are properly brainwashed (what you’re talking about IMO is a very small percentage) and that’s worse than it ever was; younger generation is still drawn to the western values and are migrating in large numbers to EU and US (I know for a fact) etc. In my view (and I’m an optimist but the reality is grim) Russia and the free world is still more likely to pay the heavy price than the whole ‘collective west’ – that’s in the very nature of things and forces that we’re fighting against, as it was in WW2. ‘They’ don’t care about the methods, as long as the end goal is moving forward nicely, they’re printing money like crazy, so their population doesn’t have to work but the rest of the world is suffering and have high inflation because of that, so how is that good for us (RF, east, FW)? The ‘slow migration’ and soft power is all nice but we’re not going to live that long to enjoy that (given the current trajectory), and I’m sure that VVP and his team is well aware of that, RF can’t just sit and wait and there’re many signs to support that, something has changed relatively recently in the way Russia responds (to the west) and they’re actually doing the opposite of ‘sitting and waiting’.
Again, I’d like to believe you but in my mind things are not moving in that direction.
all the best friend
The kind of movement spoken of is a slow process and once something is seen in can not be unseen. This process of awareness is possible at any moment in any human being and what Dimitry has laid out here is this process in motion ever gaining momentum in anyone who is prepared to observe what is truly in front of them.
Of course if one is perpetually exposed to western media, almost all of it is wilfully ignorant of Russian history, particularly recent history.I recently had to explain to a friend of mine how Crimea had re joined Russian as he had believed the annexation bs. Anyway,he accepted the truth once it had been put in front of him, on this matter, for the first time.
Here is just one first hand example of how ones worldview can change. And change it will, exponentially as it is inevitable and un stoppable.
Sometimes change is almost imperceptible but is always in motion and world affairs are the same because after all the creator is behind all things and the force is unfathomable too…….
The article is about Russia inadvertently gaining soft power through the West’s self-inflicted descent into Bedlam. What on earth does that have to do with what you are bringing up? Nothing, I am sure.
you’re talking about it being ‘the greatest weapon’ (your title? hence I’m not sure what is actually surprising with my response, providing you have read it)
…and (to summarize it for you) I’m saying that it’s not and that it has very little significance on the whole scheme of things
Ah, I see… Well, perhaps you’d prefer some nuclear bombs instead, then.
In this particular case, the easiest way to “knock out” the US is to simply let the US’s Fed, Wall Street and its Financial System die from it’s own greed and malevolence it has committed for the benefit of the select few directly attached to this US System.
This is exactly what has been occurring since 2019 when the Swiss’ BIS Institution called attention to the Western Markets/Multi-billionaires showing immense corporate debt that it amassed following the 2007-08 Bank Fraud.
In other words, when all these US/EU banks were saved from a meltdown back then, they ALL put things in high gear with their predatory behaviors. It’s all coming to fruition now. Meantime, The FED and central banks in Europe are printing out billions…….to try to save the western banks, but mostly to save the multi-billionaires from losing their shirts from their verbose greed and criminal casino behaviors.
Add to that fact is the tremendous loss of the US $$ value, along with the rise of China, Russia, Eurasia, elsewhere…………it will all come out in the “wash,” leaving China/Russia/Eurasia and others standing tall.
Mr Orlov: I just want to add, as much as I enjoy and value your essays, it is also a great benefit that you choose to interact with commentators. I know in the past you have said it is a pain, but it is part of the education process, and other can see – indeed learn from – the stupid comments.
Excellent article. The West is in a state of ever increasing ideological entropy where each next stage reflects an even greater expression of insanity. It is an undeniable trend. It is difficult to imagine what will drive this ideology to its next stage after all natural physical differences between people – for example: race, gender, intelligence, beauty – are officially denied by the state and harsh draconian penalties imposed on those who would suggest otherwise.
Once it is set into motion, an ideology based on false egalitarianism and the denial of physical reality will only deny it, and its own contradictions, even more as its utopian ideals remain forever out of reach and its intractable nature becomes ever more apparent.
In its end state, a system based on such an ideology will descend to a level of pure stasis where no one is allowed, or nothing is recognized, to be better or worse than anything else, for that is its ultimate logical demand. That is such a system will lose its vital dynamic; all dynamics emerge from differences in potential, and where there are no differences, there is no potential and thus no dynamic.
As is obvious by the manifestations of social media and the behavior of the mainstream media, any channel by which new information is fed back into this system such that it becomes self-correcting in the face of its contradictions has already been shutdown. Any opposition or effort to provide feedback to this system is met by shrill, hysterical denunciation, hostility or outright rage.
The only way a citizen in the West can now acquire any objective information is by reading in between the lines, inferring information by omission and by going outside the system to international news sites and alternative blogs.
Once set into political motion an ideology, becomes inexorable as it must fulfill its logical imperatives or deny its own veracity. With no feedback allowed, the latter becomes an impossible demand that its ideologues, by their own nature, will never fulfill. Therefore, it remains only for the political-correctness that has gripped the West to run its course; where at best it may live on for some time but in complete impotence, or at worst it will collapse otright with disastrous consequences for its citizens.
“…The only way a citizen in the West can now acquire any objective information is by reading in between the lines, inferring information by omission and by going outside the system to international news sites and alternative blogs…”
this is clear , that is why there is more censorship in the mass media and in the social media. The latest example of this is the new ‘ukaz’ in the FRANKFURTER ALLGEMEINE ZEITUNG” – the flagship of German media – that they will change the rules of comments by readers, and that the old comments will be removed in a few weeks time. This new rule is justified by the publishers with “moving with the times’.. (paraphrasing this). To me it means censorship not only for future readers, but also retroactive censorship – i.e. removal of old comments which were not politically correct. The comments of readers were the one way people could have learned about truth or untruth presented in the article.
Indeed – Orwell is greeting.
Similarly to what you’re describing here, Tito’s Yugoslavia was nurtured by the West to serve as a showpiece of “socialism with a human face”, where fake prosperity was paid by huge IMF loans. I guess it served its purpose. Surely many East Europeans had that kind of socialism in mind when they readily got rid of their Moscow-leaning governments. Little did they know their desire for more freedom was read as unconditional surrender by the West. To this day Eastern European influence of Western politics has a sum total of Zero. Never did we hear of Polish or Romanian experts advising say French government on i.e. education, or agriculture, or anything else. The very same moment Iron curtain has fallen, the West was quick to dismantle it’s Yugoslavian puppet so that people in the East don’t get funny ideas by looking at this “socialism with a human face”. No. Only unconditional surrender was acceptable, no middle ground, no negotiations. This was colonialism at its worst, only within the European continent. Even better and cheaper. No need to ferry slaves and wares from accross the Globe! So if the sheer existence of tiny Yugoslavia was considered a threat – what can be said about mighty Russia?
“Their desperate thrashing about and threatening Armageddon is for Russia to ignore.”
Not only for Russia to ignore but more for Israel to ignore because there exists a belief system that both Russia and Germany are the nations of Magog and Gog from Ezekiel 38 and 39. Two nations who are supposed to usher in the last great war before the arrival of the Messiah to Jerusalem. It is a prophecy that was and is used for the creation of Israel as a nation. A teaching I might add I firmly believed in as a youth given the Iron Curtain and Communism Fascism and two world wars. However, today the errors of this is huge and quite dangerous in fact and I spent a considerable amount of time seeking God for correct answers and did receive the answers it is why i wrote the only book on the subject Lies, All Lies. It needs telling especially in view of this:

Peace and blessing Mr. Orlov
“Through Russia comes the hope of the world. Not in respect to what is sometimes termed Communism or Bolshevism — no! But freedom — freedom! That each man will live for his fellow man. The principle has been born there. It will take years for it to be crystallised; yet out of Russia comes again the hope of the world.” ~
Edgar Cayce : Circa 1930
Hello Everyone :)
As far as soft power is welcomed and concerned, it would be sort of cool if a list of contemporary Russian :
– bands, songwriters etc …
– writers (fiction and non-fiction)
– movies
could supplement this piece. It is difficult to get a feel of modern Russia without actually living there. Seen from afar, some very impressive and beautiful transformations border on the miracle, but what about the lay people life ? Not much of a splash if one considers demography for instance.
While it is obvious that Russia’s current leadership is up to its daunting task (12 time zones ! + an unreliable West), how does that “fertilizes” the actual Russian society ? In short, where are folk productions, where are the arts, where is the joy :) ?
Absolutely brilliant analysis, Dmitry. Thank you.
Oh, the irony when the systematic destruction of human moral and ethics backfires on its satanic masterminds. Let the western countries self destruct in gender fluid, critical race theory and AI Metaverses.
Russia is the only somewhat sane society on earth at the moment. What you describe is nicely illustrated by a recent post on the Russian Faith website. “Russian Christians Protest Sodomy at US Embassy in Moscow” “Moscow isn’t Sodom, faggots go home!”
Great article. Thanks Dmitry.
…‘No, Russia’s most powerful weapon is its values.’ This comment is so very true. A great many in the West are disgusted and fed up with the continuously promoted degeneracy and whacko agenda. As Andrei Martynov said, we are so divided as a ‘culture’ here, er no longer have an American identity or culture. The whole system / infrastructure is ruled by self serving greed with little thought to those in need. Narcissism runs rampant. All we see are young people, and I hate to sound sexist, but too many young selfie-obsessed girls and even mature women who think nothing of society, only themselves and how awesomely beautiful they are. Then there is the whole ‘woke’ LBGTQ thing all promoted to destroy us from the inside. Those who have their head properly screwed on their shoulders are scared to say anything. Not meaning to sound religious or anything, I thing Russia’s return to the church is shining a bright light on that country.
l think it was the American prophet Edgar Cayce that said decades ago “”In Russia there comes the hope of the world, not as that sometimes termed of the Communistic, of the Bolshevistic; no. But freedom, freedom – that each man will live for his fellow man!” and…”On Russia’s religious development will come the greater hope of the world.”
Russia also have allies in China who are watching with increased amusement at the decline of the West.
Have you noticed that nearly all movies showing a dystopain future such as Blade Runner etc show Chinese as the primary language of the lower classes? Do you really think this is just imagination on the part of the writers? NO! It’s a warning of what will come if we allow ourselves to become weak and divided and Wokeness is doing just that. We need to get rid of the woke snowflake governments and end this woke crap NOW if we mean to survive the future.
