I haven’t found anywhere that he has commented on Russia’s military action in Ukraine.
I just found an interview in The Asia Times wherein Roger Waters condemns Putin and the Russia military operation. Not too cool.
And in this interview, just the same. Not sure why it has been posted here? Just so disgusted with the so-called West (I’m in the USA). What with all the hysteria over nazis the past 5+ years, here they embrace them in Europe! I feel terrible for children in Russia, who might be seeking friendship with people in the West, only to be looked down upon as untermensch, or worse, as was the norm in Nazi Germany/Europe. I confronted a former special ops guy I work with about this ugly phenomenon. He’s German, late 60’s. Of course he is going to be Russophobic. I just keep to myself. Never felt I belonged here to begin with (USA) nor felt much in the way of kinship with other Americans.
That said, respectfully, I must note how it is much appreciated how you allow diverging or alternative viewpoints, for sake (no pun!) of debate, discussion here! This is truly one of the very last refuges for free speech and enlightened, well learned discourse and media, reporting.

I love Roger Waters but like many artists he is an idealist. Most idealists want peace on earth and so are against any and all war, but unfortunately that cannot be. At least not yet. Not until Christ returns.

A sad day for me. I always loved to tune into “Redacted Tonight” with Lee Camp once a week to see his VIP interviews and listen to his rants. He’s to the left heavily and I’m to the right of Atila the Hun but he makes me laugh and think. I like that. Due to the banning of Russia Today his RT on RT show is over. I got this notice an hour ago.

The rockstar Roger Waters and the very popular Dr. John “warm welcome” Cambell, YouTube King of Covid data, may have contracted the Putin derangement syndrome, but not so fellow English celebrities Peter Hitchens of the Mail on Sunday and the incomparable “Lady C.”, Lady Colin Cambell of “Chatting with Lady C.” YouTube fame.
Lady C. and Mr Hitchens both present far more informed, compassionate and nuanced opinions on Russian actions in Ukraine than the rockstar champion of human rights.

True, Patricia. On the other hand, Japanese media has provided me some of the best narrative themes of people being lied into needless conflicts and avoiding that if everyone just talked and listened to each other. Here’s hoping more of us will learn and make better choices.

The huge geopolitical shift we were expecting has happened. The faultline was in Ukraine. George Orwell got it right. The world is now divided into 3 geopolitical zones: Oceania, Eurasia and Eastasia. Any questions I wonder? See Mark Sloboda for a full resolution – a new cold war.
Remember, Francis, that the Orwellian cold war or continuous war only works because, as Orwell wrote, “The conditions of life in all three super-states are very much the same… Everywhere there is the same pyramidal structure, the same worship of a semi-divine leader, the same economy existing by and for continuous warfare.” In other words, the Eurasia zone promoting Christianity and similar “Love God… Love Thy Neighbor” worship systems, or the Eastasia zone reducing poverty and shrinking the prole class actively undermines “1984” geopolitics.
The die-hard dystopians do not want a cold war, at least not in the long-term. Before that, they need regime change conflicts to stop those anti-dystopian policies, and that means a hot war. Even if “a few more atomic bombs would mean the end of organized society, and hence of their own power,” Eurasia and Eastasia no longer being “obliged to remain at the same low level of military technique as their rivals” means the Orwellian elites lose their power anyway. My guess is that the elites are betting Eurasia and Eastasia’s leaders did not pull their people out of dystopian conditions just to have mutually assured destruction strip away all those gains.

Surprised to see how many places blocked this. Have found getting on RT slower than it used to be in BC Canada, but haven’t had any problems viewing RT. Same issues apply to The Saker, but suspect increased traffic as primary cause.
