“CrossTalk” Bullhorns Incorruptible
The Panama Papers – the huge story that isn’t – a truly pathetic day for Western corporate media. The Dutch voted against the EU’s association agreement with Ukraine. But no worries, Brussels is already looking to overturn this democratic outcome. Also, why is the Syrian ceasefire failing AND is Obama really a realist?

Former Soviet Navy Commander: Americans Only Respect the Powerful; As Submarine Commander, I Saw UFO
Published on Apr 11, 2016
In a Russia Today TV interview, Admiral Vladimir Chernavin, the last Commander-in-Chief of the Soviet Navy and later of the Russian Navy, talked about Soviet-American relations, saying that the Americans “love power” and “refuse to recognize anyone who is not willing to use it.” In the interview, which aired on October 25, 2015, Chernavin, who was former deputy minister of defense, said that the archives of the Soviet military navy had hundreds of reports of UFO sightings and that he himself had seen a UFO, which “assumed various forms, but mostly, looked like a round hat.”

Ukraine About to Break Apart! Transcarpathia Region “Demands” Autonomy From Kiev https://mishtalk.com/2016/04/07/ukraine-about-to-break-apart-transcarpathia-region-demands-autonomy-from-kiev/
Good Morning Martin
The Transcarpathian people ought to be allowed to have their own autonomy. They had two plebiscites already and on both occasions they elected to go it alone. It will not be easy for them, but as I understand matters they are no welfare cot-case. Nevertheless if they do get their autonomy there is going to be a great deal of rebuilding for them to do. They’ll need to do it in a big hurry as well.
Here is the rub. The region has mostly Russian people there (not Ukrainian so much) but a substantial number of Hungarian people are living there as well. Many of the Hungarian people of the region are also citizens of Hungary since they possess Hungarian passports. So, if the Kiev regime decide not to grant autonomy to the region and its people, launching similar campaigns of violence to those which they previously loosed against people in the eastern portions of the Ukraine (Donetsk, Lugansk, Odessa, etc not to mention the one they had all but put in play in Crimea) and elsewhere (Lvov, Kiev etc, basically they attack those they identify as Russian), then what does Hungarian government do in respect of a few hundred thousand of its own citizens…? Does it take in the Hungarian and the other refugees who are going to start appearing at the border? Does it leave the rest to get exterminated simply because they lie just across an arbitrarily drawn line on a map? Or does it send in the troops and try to protect the people over there, in effect enabling the demand for autonomy from Kiev? And what will NATO do about this?
Ukraine is disintegrating, it would appear. Mr Orban had better get over to Moscow stat and start discussing the future with Messers Lavrov, Shoigu and Putin super quick smart I’d say. Better do it now, else things could get mighty bad, mighty fast, totally out of control with thousands and thousands of civilian casualties. As is said, there is a time to piss or get off the pot. Now is the time to decide.
Siotu
Orban visited Moscow in February 2016. Apparently, Moscow gave the “green light” to Transcarpathia region to demand autonomy from Kiev.
Hello Scott
That is very interesting indeed. If Moscow has given “green light” for the Transcarpathian people to seek autonomy, then the question is what was V Orban told by Moscow. Has he been invited to intervene should Kiev resort to violence? An initiation of violence by the Kiev regime would place Orban and his government in a politically difficult position domestically since if there is no meaningful response from them, then citizens of Hungary could well turn out to be many of the casualties. There would be pressure from the domestic electorate for something to be done. Orban ignores that at his peril. So, is intervention the option?
On the other hand, what does NATO & EU think about all this? Kiev regime is what they have supported. Now it is collapsing. Autonomy for the Transcarpathian region would not serve their needs, surely. Indeed it would appear to oppose them. Kiev visibly losing control. Ukraine as a country in full failure mode- coming apart. The perceived need for possible intervention would have to be influencing Hungarian government away from the NATO & EU orbit and towards a more independent policy in its dealings. This all could be very much in the advantage of Russia. Is that the idea, I wonder.
So, what amount of control does NATO & EU have in Hungary? If NATO & EU demonstrate the exercise of control over the Hungarian government, what is the popular response to that? It must become a political loss for NATO & EU since if Hungarians see their fellow citizens being victims of Kiev violence and NATO/EU siding with Kiev…. Again, advantage to Russia.
Is it NATO/EU influence and control waning away?
Siotu
Hi Siotu,
as for Zakarpattya: Orban and Putin are in contact for some time already. And this wasn’t the first request for autonomy. I’m not only thinking of 2015, but it dates back much longer:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zakarpattia_Oblast
“””””Some scholars say that during the Ukrainian independence referendum held in 1991, Zakarpattia Oblast voters were given a separate option on whether or not they favored autonomy for the region.[3] Although a large majority favored autonomy, it was not granted.[3] However, this referendum was about self-government status, not about autonomy (like in Crimea).[4]”””””
The special ethnic mix is known to me (I traveled there quite a number of times).
After WW1 thanks to the dictate of Trianon the Austro-Hungarian Empire got dismantled, but not everywhere cleanly across ethnic division lines.
But this region has moved back and forth, best I simply copy and paste wikipedia:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zakarpattia_Oblast
“””””The lands of Transcarpathia were part of the Kingdom of Hungary since 896. As such, it formed part of Austria-Hungary until the latter’s demise at the end of World War I. It approximately consists of four Hungarian counties (comitatus): Bereg, Ung, Ugocsa, and Maramaros. This region was briefly part of the short-lived West Ukrainian National Republic in 1918. The region was annexed by Romania by the end of that year, mostly the eastern portion such as Rakhiv and Khust. It was later recaptured by Hungarian Soviet Republic in the summer of 1919. Finally, under the name Subcarpathian Rus (Czech: Podkarpatská Rus), after the Paris Peace Conference of 1919 it was annexed to Czechoslovakia with a supposedly equal level of autonomy as Slovakia and Bohemia-Moravia-Czech Silesia (Czech lands).[12] Nevertheless, such autonomy was granted as late as in 1938, after detrimental events of the Munich Conference; until then this land was administered directly from Prague by the government-appointed provincial presidents (zemští prezidenti) and/or elected governors (guvernéři).”””””

Now what you said – there are “Russians”.
I agree and disagree. Those are not more RUS’ians than Ukrainians, the only difference is that they don’t deny their heritage.
Carpathian Ruthenia
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carpathian_Ruthenia
As you probably know, “ruthenia” is simply the latin translation for “Russia”, but it should not be confused with today’s Russia.
For this we must go back up to 1000 years:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruthenia
These southern territories have corresponding names in Polish:
Ruś Halicko-Wołyńska — Kingdom of Galicia–Volhynia
Ruś Halicka — Galicia
Ruś Biała — White Ruthenia, White Russia or Belarus
Ruś Czarna — Black Ruthenia, part of modern Belarus
Ruś Czerwona — Red Ruthenia, Galicia
Ruś Podkarpacka — Carpathian Ruthenia
such as:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Russia
Hi Siotu,
I forgot, there are several “Rusyn” languages aka East-Slavic dialects (the other one in Vojvodina).
Like Ukrainian and Belorussian they all are descendents of old Church East-Slavic:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_East_Slavic
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Church_Slavonic
So they are very similar but not identical.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rusyn_language

If you want to compare for example Ukrainian and (modern) Russian you can use this free of charge trainer: http://hosgeldi.com/ukr/
(of course, the Ukrops deny all that, in reality the first ape was a Ukrainian and we all are descendents from Ukrainians!!! haha)

Commander: Iran to Unveil New Military Achievements Wednesday
TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran’s Ground Force Commander Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Pourdastan announced that the country will unveil new home-made state-of-the-art military products on the occasion of the Army Day (April 17) on Wednesday.
This meme is surfacing just these past few days, very active a year ago, but when this show covers it, you know that means it’s going to be further aggressively buried.
TEHRAN (FNA)- The White House and intelligence officials are considering declassifying documents known as the “28 pages” which could show the possible existence of a Saudi support network for the hijackers involved in the 9/11 terror attacks.
The discussion of the documents, which have been locked away for 13 years, comes as President Obama plans a trip to Saudi Arabia this month, the Hill reported.
Former Sen. Bob Graham, who helped author the report, told “60 Minutes” the classified information outlines a network of people he believes supported the hijackers while they were in the US.
