Help he geographically challenged. Can anyone say what that big point of light is in the Black Sea, west of Crimea?
There are petroleum drilling an production platforms in the vicinity.
In June, Ukraine attacked with rockets/missiles at least one platform in this part of the Black Sea. I don’t know if the resultant fires were extinguished, or if his is a large deliberate flare.
It could be Snake Island as seen with an uncorrected parallax error taken from a sat photo on a shallow angle, and more easterly position (e.g. over Mariupol). Which means the photo could also be taken from a different position, then edited.
Correcting the frame tilt to give proper scale would still leave Snake Island being oriented in the middle between Crimea and Romania, unless using a google map for correct reference. Which shows it 1/4 distance off the coast of Romania.
Unless it`s a Military satellite, subjects have to be 300m across to fill 1 screen pixel or cannot be seen by sat.
Golly if it gets any darker it will start looking like North Korea..another one of those Socialist paradises in Asia that soon will dominate the world?
