On August 31, Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Alexander Zakharchenko died from wounds received in a bomb attack in the DPR capital of Donetsk in eastern Ukraine. The explosion, which took place in a restaurant, “Separatist”, also injured at least 3 persons, including the DPR Finance Minister.
The Russian Foreign Ministry described the incident as a terrorist attack designed “to derail the process of peaceful political settlement in Donbass and the implementation of the Minsk Agreements”. The ministry called on the Kiev government “to stop relying on terrorism to resolve Ukraine’s domestic issues”.
The DPR authorities accused the Kiev government of being behind the attack. The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) confirmed that it is aware of the incident but claimed that the death of Zakharchenko was a result of some internal tensions within the DPR.
Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Trapeznikov became Interim Head of the DPR.
Meanwhile, DPR military spokesman Eduard Basurin said that the Ukrainian military is re-grouping its forces along the contact line with the DPR.
“We think this is the eventual goal in terms of destabilizing the situation in the areas near the Line of Contact – something the Ukrainian and US secret services have hoped to gain,” he said. “We don’t rule out an offensive at one of the sections of the line.” Separately, he pointed out “the deployment of a Ukrainian security forces’ combat group in the direction of Mariupol under the guise of Storm-2018 drills”. According to Basuring citing intelligence data, the UAF may carry out a new attack on the DPR on September 14.
Over the past few years, the DPR and its neighbor, the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR), have been hit by a series of terrorist attacks and assassinations. According to DPR and LPR sources, all of them has been reportedly carried out by Ukrainian intelligence and its agents. However, some sources say that at least a part of these incidents has been a result of the internal tensions within the DPR and the LPR. Local sources describe the work of the republic’s security forces as only “sub-optimal” to what is needed.
It is also important to note that Zakharchenko was one of the persons signing the Minsk II agreements in 2015, which declared a ceasefire between Ukraine and the DPR-LPR forces. Now, when Zakharchenko is dead, Kiev may use this as a justification to ignore further its responsibilities in the framework of the agreements.
The chances for any kind of successful peaceful settlement of the conflict in eastern Ukraine continue to decrease.
If the Ukra-facists were planning an attack related to the assasination of the Chairman, then the time to do it was in the minutes and hours following the murder.
In fact, they should have done something more akin to the plot to kill Lincoln, where Lincoln was not the only target but conspirators sought to kill the Secretary of Seward and Vice-President Johnson in the same evening. That would be the ideal preliminary to a military attack … the attempted murders of the key leaders of the DPR.
But even if we are looking at just the murder of Zakharchenko, then the only way that is effective as part of a military attack plan is if the military attack unfolds in the minutes following the murder trying to take advantage of the disruption of the death of the leader. What the AZ empire feared on the assasination of John Kennedy, was that this was the opening strike of a surprise attack.
If the great Ukra-fascist plan was to kill the chairman, wait while first an interim head was named, and now a successor has been named, and then launch a military attack weeks later, then that is a very poorly thought out plan. In such a plan, the assasination does nothing to disrupt the DPR, and if anything gave them warning and put them on alert prior to a Ukra-fascist attack. At the very least its made a lot of people mad and willing to kill any Ukra-fascists who now decide to attack.
“What the AZ empire feared on the assasination of John Kennedy, was that this was the opening strike of a surprise attack.”
Since the “az empire” assassinated kennedy, there is no reason for them to think it “was the opening strike of a surprise attack”. Attempting to blame the Russians for it was part of the set up and cover up.
The assassination of Zakharchenko is part of the zionazi-gay strategy of provocations and destabilisation, and standard operating procedure by them (they get their orders and strategy from Israel, you know). Any attempt to send in the ukronazis again would have been counter productive to the sort of low intensity warfare/psywar the zionazi-gays are engaged in. A bit more difficult now to attack and have the colonial regime mouths and zionazi-gay media portray it successfully as being sweet innocent babes being massacred by the hitlarian Russian monster, like they scammed when they sent their georgian quisling against South Ossetia.
I think zionazia is done with major suicidal offensives against Novorussia, they’ll continue with the sort of low intensity warfare/psywar provocations they’ve been doing to keep the annoyance up.
Isn’t it interesting that it is exactly at this time that the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople Bartholomew decides to overstep his bounds and set up a schismatic “autocephalous” Ukrainian Orthodox Church with his blessing without consulting Patriarch Kirill of Moscow or the LEGITIMATE head of the true Ukrainian Orthodox Church Metropolitan Onufry. I am giving my OCA priest (whom I love and respect) notice that if this turns into an open schism between the EP and his loyalists and the Moscow Patriarchate, I will not be staying in tbe parish if it remains in communion with the EP. I will go to ROCOR or the Antiochians or Serbians but I will not be in communion with any church that remains in communion with the EP who is a schismatic and heretic himself.
DNR is now back under Moscow’s control.
Timofeev and Alexander Kazakov recalled to Moscow. They were in Zakh’s administration. Very close war buddies, but apparently had sticky fingers and were highly disliked.
Surkov has sent two representatives and there now is a small army of FSB who will be going through the entire administration of the DNR.
Pushilin was voted to the top until elections in Nov. Trapeznikov who had been appointed leader agreed to the new vote for Pushilin.
And probably, some visiting leadership for the Army is being put in place so everyone stays calm.
Zakh’s widow visited some military unit. Very touching short video.
Putin has to find a new figurehead for Donbass. The vacuum at the top is enormous after the loss of Zakh.
The Normandy Four is now Normandy Three as the Russians don’t want to talk with the Ukrainians.
What could happen is Putin refuse to allow Ukraine status to talk within the Group, forcing the US to talk and act on Kiev. The US wants to play puppetmaster, but since they have really masterminded everything Kiev does, it makes sense to put them on the front side of the curtain. They will have to decide to enforce Minsk 2 or abandon it. Thus, leaving Donbass to whatever Russia decides.
I see, so according to you the DNR leadership doesn’t have any power and the people of Donbass have no say in the matter, everything is decided in Moscow. And when you say DNR is back under Moscow’s control, do you mean that wasn’t the case under Zakh’s administration?
What is DNR?
The impression is that both Ukraine and NATO are not sure if Ukraine should attack or not. Many expected a Ukrainian attack either during the Russian Presidential elections or during the World Cup. It did not happen. Then reports started coming of mass desertions in the Ukrainian Army, which explains why Kiev did not attack.
However, a new situation is developing. Ukraine itself has Presidential elections in 2019, and Poroshenkos chances of winning them are zero, unless of course he rigs the same. So, what is he doing ? Obviously thinking of starting a “victorious war” in the Donbass, either to boost his election chances, or else to declare a state or emergency and cancel the elections. The assassination of the DPR Head was not only an assassination, but a test, Kiev and NATO wanting to see what the repercussions will be. Well, there are indeed repercussions, the people of Donbass even more demanding independence from Ukraine.
If Poroshenko does gamble and attack, he will probably get a Maidan in reverse, with the Ukrainian Army falling apart. Even the Ukrainian Foreign Minister a week ago admitted that almost one million Ukrainians are leaving the country every year, although the number is probably higher.
Poroshenko has found himself in a check mate situation. If he attacks, he loses. If he does not, he loses again. He better pick up his US passport and go to the US, this being the smartest move he could make.
Facebook & Instagram remove deputy Duma speaker’s posts about murder of Donetsk leader Zakharchenko
https://www.rt.com/politics/437881-facebook-removes-deputy-duma/
Deputy speaker of the Russian State Duma, Pyotr Tolstoy, says that both Instagram and Facebook have deleted his posts on the recent killing of the head of the self-proclaimed Donetsk Republic, Aleksandr Zakharchenko.
“Instagram has deleted my post about Aleksandr Zakharchenko’s death together with his photo. This is “freedom of speech” according to [Facebook founder and CEO Mark] Zuckerberg,” Tolstoy said in a Facebook post about the removal. He attached a screenshot in which moderators claim he violated “community guidelines” that recommend users abstain from ‘propagating violence’.
Shortly after Tolstoy complained about the Instagram incident, moderators deleted his post on Facebook in which Tolstoy described Zakharchenko’s killing as an apparent attack by Ukrainian nationalists and expressed condolences to friends and family of the late leader of the Donetsk People’s Republic. Facebook has owned the Instagram image-sharing service since 2012.
Earlier this week popular Russian rock musician Vadim Samoilov said that on the day of Zakharchenko’s funeral he posted the picture of himself with the late head of the Donetsk People’s Republic and a short video with his song “For Donbass!” on Instagram and both materials were soon deleted by moderators.
Samoilov also wrote that Facebook explained their decision as a desire to curb calls for violence, but added that this explanation left him perplexed as neither the photo nor the song contained any such calls. He added that Facebook’s policy looked especially strange to him because the network never attempted to delete or hide any of the openly provocative posts made by Ukrainian nationalists.”
I didn’t know instagram was owned by the israeli data mining outfit, facebook.
This is scary… Thanks for posting.
Why is it scary? I got off of Facebook over two years ago, and was never on Instagram. Yet I feel that I am well informed.
Facebook is a company that makes its money by spying on its customers then selling that to anyone with money. On top of that it is heavily monitored by spies and law enforcement. Both were true before Facebook removed its reason for being by censoring everything.
Before, the only reason to be on facebook was because everyone else was there. But now that Facebook is censoring everything, being on Facebook no longer gets you the range of information from a large group of people because now the news feed is censored and prioritized by facebook. Likewise, it is becoming useless for reaching out to people for the same reason. So, why are people still on it?
People call Americans sheep, but they’ve figured it out. Recently saw a headline that a quarter of American users of Facebook have closed their accounts in the last year or so. Which by the way means that giant sinking sound is Facebook going down because it is rapidly losing what was its key element of value which was that everyone was on it. Further, I’ve seen reports that teen and college age Americans are now favoring other social media platforms.
There is a big internet out there far beyond the tiny confines of Facebook land.
And my suggestion to people with Facebook stock would be ….. remember the goal is to sell high.
