How many of you remember the endless stream of warnings that “Putin works for Schwab” or “Putin is in bed with Netanyahu”, he will “sell out the Donbass” and he is “bluffing” about sanctions.
Then came the ultimatum. They dismissed it.
Then came the Special Military Operation (SMO). They dismissed it.
Then came the news that Russia would sell gas to hostile states only in Rubles. They dismissed it.
See, for them, there are only two options:
- Putin is a Davos/Bilderberger/CFR/WEF/etc. agent
- Putin is bluffing
So let me ask you all: with a eight year track of being wrong, every time, why would you listen to these clowns?
I mean, seriously, not only are they wrong, but they are using all the talking points of US PSYOPs. Some do that in the name of freedom, democracy, and their love for the pure and Nazi-free Ukraine they support so much, others do that in the name of Holy Russia and their desire to overthrow Putin to replace him with… … somebody better.
Having spent YEARS debunking their nonsense, I now wonder, with Putin saying this:
Will they finally admit that they were wrong?
NOPE!
Why not? Because for them ANY victory, even just a perceived victory, for Russia is not a victory for Russia, but a victory for that “evil Putin” which they hate with all their hearts. Besides, they much rather have bona fide Nazis prevail than Russia. For the Empire of Lies, Nazis are SOBs, but they are “our SOBs”. Nothing new here.
Russia beat the initial economic sanctions in exactly the time frame predicted by Putin. But the naysayers chose to either deny or dismiss this.
Now the Ruble is back on its pre Feb 24th position, but they won’t consider that as relevant.
Then there are those who still believe that the Nazis are winning. On all fronts. Well, here is today map and you decide for yourself who is winning and who is losing:
Especially for the alternatively gifted, here is a breakdown of what is going on according to Scott Ritter:
1/ Big Arrow War—a primer. For all those scratching their heads in confusion, or dusting off their dress uniforms for the Ukrainian victory parade in Kiev, over the news about Russia’s “strategic shift”, you might want to re-familiarize yourself with basic military concepts.
2/ Maneuver warfare is a good place to start. Understand Russia started its “special military operation” with a severe manpower deficit—200,000 attackers to some 600,000 defenders (or more). Classic attritional conflict was never an option. Russian victory required maneuver.
3/ Maneuver war is more psychological than physical and focuses more on the operational than on the tactical level. Maneuver is relational movement—how you deploy and move your forces in relation to your opponent. Russian maneuver in the first phase of its operation support this.
4/ The Russians needed to shape the battlefield to their advantage. In order to do this, they needed to control how Ukraine employed it’s numerically superior forces, while distributing their own smaller combat power to best accomplish this objective.
5/ Strategically, to facilitate the ability to maneuver between the southern, central, and northern fronts, Russia needed to secure a land bridge between Crimea and Russia. The seizure of the coastal city of Mariupol was critical to this effort. Russia has accomplished this task.
6/ While this complex operation unfolded, Russia needed to keep Ukraine from maneuvering its numerically superior forces in a manner that disrupted the Mariupol operation. This entailed the use of several strategic supporting operations—feints, fixing operations, and deep attack.
7/ The concept of a feint is simple—a military force either is seen as preparing to attack a given location, or actually conducts an attack, for the purpose of deceiving an opponent into committing resources in response to the perceived or actual actions.
8/ The use of the feint played a major role in Desert Storm, where Marine Amphibious forces threatened the Kuwaiti coast, forcing Iraq to defend against an attack that never came, and where the 1st Cavalry Division actually attacked Wadi Al Batin to pin down the Republican Guard.
9/ The Russians made extensive use of the feint in Ukraine, with Amphibious forces off Odessa freezing Ukrainian forces there, and a major feint attack toward Kiev compelling Ukraine to reinforce their forces there. Ukraine was never able to reinforce their forces in the east.
10/ Fixing operations were also critical. Ukraine had assembled some 60,000-100,000 troops in the east, opposite Donbas. Russia carried out a broad fixing attack designed to keep these forces fully engaged and unable to maneuver in respect to other Russian operations.
11/ During Desert Storm, two Marine Divisions were ordered to carry out similar fixing attacks against Iraqi forces deployed along the Kuwaiti-Saudi border, tying down significant numbers of men and material that could not be used to counter the main US attack out west.
12/ The Russian fixing attack pinned the main Ukrainian concentration of forces in the east, and drove them away from Mariupol, which was invested and reduced. Supporting operations out of Crimea against Kherson expanded the Russian land bridge. This phase is now complete.
13/ Russia also engaged in a campaign of strategic deep attack designed to disrupt and destroy Ukrainian logistics, command & control, and air power and long-range fire support. Ukraine is running out of fuel and ammo, cannot coordinate maneuver, and has no meaningful Air Force.
14/ Russia is redeploying some of its premier units from where they had been engaged in feint operations in northern Kiev to where they can support the next phase of the operation, namely the liberation of the Donbas and the destruction of the main Ukrainian force in the east.
15/ This is classic maneuver warfare. Russia will now hold Ukraine in the north and south while its main forces, reinforced by the northern units, Marines, and forces freed up by the capture of Mariupol, seek to envelope and destroy 60,000 Ukrainian forces in the east.
16/ This is Big Arrow War at its finest, something Americans used to know but forgot in the deserts and mountains of Afghanistan and Iraq. It also explains how 200,000 Russians have been able to defeat 600,000 Ukrainians. Thus ends the primer on maneuver warfare, Russian style.
Now none of that is very advanced or exotic. And if a US Marine (!) can understand that, so can anybody else with a basic education and common sense. Unless, of course, you have an ideological agenda which prevents you from accepting reality.
I might drop by later again, this is definitely a day full of events.
Andrei
PS: and, yes, the Russians will still continue to negotiate and talk with everybody. Get used to it!
Zero Hedge reports that the ruble has recovered amd is trading at pre-war value.
Yes, this article covers that well, and the comments do an excellent job of explaining why Biden’s actions releasing the US Strategic Oil Reserves is horrifically counterproductive to the US.
https://www.zerohedge.com/political/oil-slides-biden-admin-mulls-huge-spr-release-again
Three cheers for Putin!
Making unfriendly companies pay for oil, gas and other commodities in rubles is a brilliantly simple chess move.
The EU continues to humiliate itself, and the US is looking more and more like the Emperor (or Empire) with no clothes.
Was there any alternative?
Europe wanted to pay in Euros which the Russians could not spend?
Yes Jiri, it is exactly what European wanted.
And it is crazy funny how they are offended now in comments in newspaper talking about contracts and about how Germany will suit Russia.
Suit where? The level of stupidity of the European society is intolerable, sadly I am European…
People and politics don’t understand that there is nothing left to sanction, and therefore nothing that Russia is afraid of.
Also they don’t understand that this liberation war is more important for Russia than money, and that Ukraine is a terrible regime and fascist oppressor state against Russians.
Was Soviet Union thinking in money in 1941?
So we have a Russia ready to pay the economical price (in fact they will be fortified at the end), and Europe who put crazy sanctions and block euros. Of course Russia is not going to give for free gas.
The main reason for this is the misinterpretation of Russian actions as “imperialistic” and not as self defence an ñd east Ukrainians defence.
I see it this way. Russians have thrown extra forces at Kiev, because they thought that Ukies will try at any cost to unlock their capital city.
But Ukies can’t even make any major counter offesive near Kiev, just few feeble counter attacks. Huge, many kilometers long column of Russian armour has stood there for some time without taking any heat.
And DPR forces requsted backup, because they don’t have enough forces to mop up Ukie’s units near Donetsk. So it is quite clear why Russians are moving all those unnecessary forces to Donbass.
How could Ukies manage a counter offensive, since they are busy killing each other and their citizens in Kiev on a mass scale?
Column was mainly some decoy to magnet Ukrainian force in Kiev region.
#Maskirovka
Exactly.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Russia had a few well-placed assets to plant two stories.
1) a 40 mile long column of armed forces, many of which were fuel trucks, were bogged down by a lack of fuel.
2) Leaks to the Ukrainians via back channels that the Ukies trusted that the column was waiting to exploit any weaknesses found in Kiev’s defenses.
Ideally #2 had a basis in reality, it would be a waste if such a weakness were found and the Russians weren’t ready to actually exploit it.
Utterly laughable that a column would be stuck for days because of poor logistics. Hours, maybe. A few Generals screaming at Colonels, screaming at Majors, screaming at Captains, and so on, and any logjam gets unstuck in a couple hours.
Yea, it is possible
Column is gone.
The shooting war has been won by Russia.
The economic war is reaching the same ending, at a bit slower pace.
Not that any of this is apparent in the US news reporting.
The map today is really good. Transnistria and the fronts advancing on Odessa from the east are not that far apart.
Although most maps in the US, even Al Jazeera’s, do not include Transnistria. It seems that if Russia pushes eastward, then Ukraine will be entirely land-locked.
+ Vicki
I just read in IntelSlava on Telegram that the main political figures in Odessa have come out in public saying they will begin organizing the legal framework and process to join the Russian Federation (as Crimea did). They say April world will see the advance stages of this political objective. Wonder what the Saker’s thoughts are on this. Logical conclusion of Russia’s SMO, wishfull thinking, or their April projection to soon and unrealistic.
They even have their own flag.
I think you might mean South-Ossetia.
In Odessa, thesepeople would already be dead, before they can type a telegram message.
+Tired man
LOL! Yes. I stand corrected. Got the “O” places mixed up. It was the president of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov who said that the republic will soon take steps to become part of Russia.
S. Ossetia, not Odessa, although it would be great if the parties there would formalize (re)joining Russia.
Re Odessa, has anyone heard if the bio lab there has secured and documented by the SMO?
Dear Saker: It’s all about Putin’s military and TECHNICAL means. Announcement of Gold Rubles is just one technical weapon. I’m sure he has more in his arsenal as needed to crank up the Pain Dial. Next maybe he should ignore USA in negotiating anything (they had their chance) and start giving an offer that can’t be refused to countries like Poland and Romania as a start. I think they are starting to realize USA, Germany, France, England will not be there for them as is historically usual.
The ‘historical usual’ for Poland with regards to Germany is somewhere between ‘rulers’ and ‘invaders’.
A large part of the current map of Poland is areas that are historically German. Along the Baltic is the area formerly known as East Prussia. Giving Gdansk (Danzig) to Poland after The War To End All Wars was to give Poland access to the sea, and the rest of the coast remained German until it reach Russia (in the Baltic states). The area now known as Kaliningrad is also historically an East Prussian German city.
Then, after the war, as the victorious allies carved up Germany, the western border of Poland was moved to the west and encompassed several historical German cities. At the same time, the Soviet Union claimed the eastern part of Poland.
Thus the parts of modern Poland for whom the traditional historical relationship was to Germany was ‘ruler’, as the north and west were a historically German and thus ruled by Germans (Prussians).
For the rest of Poland, they were invaded by the Germans from the west about as often as they’ve been invaded by the Russians from the east. Thus, the comment about the parts of Poland for who the traditional historical relationship with Germany is ‘invader’.
Maybe Transnistria can be given a swath of land to the coast and to its west, have Moldova absorb that land to the coast.
Stipulations:
Moldova recognize Transnistria.
Transnistria to agree to never join Nato and remain neutral.
Transnistria to agree not try and join the EU, at least not for 50 years or so.
Molodova and Transnistria issue resolved. Both get access to the Black Sea.
It would be more advantageous for Transnistria to join a pro-Russian state based in Odessa and to make the river the boundary between Moldova and the new Odessa/Transnistria state. It would be more defensible that way and no longer isolated.
Putin didn’t go into this blind.
He knew it would be a total war.
Is 600 000 figure for Ukrainian defenders correct?
depends on your definition of “defender”.
if it includes clueless civilians with small arms then yes
if it only includes soldiers in actual military units, then no.
Then about 200’000 would be more accurate.
and even amongst those, there are big differences.
My guesstimate that the Ukraine had about 250’000 went it all began
now?
I can’t tell, but a lot less, how many nobody really knows…
Ukie regular army had ~25 combat brigades in its order of battle. I don‘t know how many of these 25 were organized along new style NATO lines with 4 battalions and full on old style divisional support units.
If one tallies up Mariupol (4) plus the cauldron (12?) and add in the Arc from the cauldron to Kiev (4-5?) = 20 brigades. 20 brigades feels about right. That leaves 5 combat brigades for Odessa etc.
This does not include reserves of course. Nor does it include Territoriale, Gendarmes, and Volksturm
It is the number of all regular and reserves, including all the nazi brigades and battalions.
It is the number before full mobilization of all males being conscripted. That would total 1-2 million.
Most of those guys are in Poland and they paid to leave.
The irony is now, that all those, who dodged mobilization call can take heavy prison sentence so they will count on Russia’s victory.
On a different note but still about the special operation,do you have any news on the three Ukro choppers downed in Mariupol.Today’s post on Colonel Cassad is pretty interesting.
“… Putin didn’t go into this blind….”
Definitely not.
All this was explained to him a long time ago (even when he “took power” in Russia).
By the way *** every war is a fratricidal war *** always organized by an extremely small group of families, who have been OWNERS of every “people’s-central-bank” for several centuries.
Of course, the Russian Central Bank (Bank of Russia) is also PRIVAT and owned by the same group of Evils…
I would recommend everyone to read the federal law on the Bank of Russia (the so-called “Central Bank of Russia”):
https://www.consultant.ru/cons/cgi/online.cgi?req=doc&rnd=fC7hoA&base=LAW&n=32885#JkcCk1T6KhoriQoB
(If the censorship of this portal allows the presentation of facts …)
It is easy to see that the Bank of Russia:
– is a (private) legal entity …
– to which the state of the Russian Federation gave the so-called “authorized capital” of 3 billion rubles (~ 32 million euros)… And this is the only “capital” the Bank of Russia is obliged to return to the state of the Russian Federation – in case of termination of the contract!!!
– which is the absolute OWNER of all capital (including “reserves” – excluding “authorized capital” and buildings of RCB) …
– RCB does NOT correspond to anybody of (three-part) democratic government in Russia (the same is true in other countries) …
– RCB corresponds exclusively to (private) “international financial institutions” …
…
Do not trust me!
Check by yourself…
He who controls money also controls the state. RF does not control its own money.
Well, well…
Its been a month now and things are clearer now…. I must say, very well done!
For years now I pretty much anticipated all the moves and was so glad that that they came through. I must say I am nevertheless shocked as how many things evolved so quick! I did see them most upfront, but not at such pace.
Apart from other things, I was always concerned about the role of Khazarian mafia and dealing with it, as I view it, the true source of evil.
And now, well, how about that!
There was much talk about how, well, Putin is in their pocket and soft on Israel and whatnot , but you see, it all comes down on its own.
MASTERFULL!!!
All the oligarchs are gonna pay dearly, bu the west pn one side, and by Russia on the other-as traitors. Their Role deminished and no one can say that Putin is the antisemite, card played oh so often.
Even Israel looks like it calculated rightfully as who will be the man to talk to tomorrow.
Give’em pain!
I don’t listen at what Western politicians or thinktank specialists say anymore. i just make a note of what they do and what they don’t do. That’s it. I will see tomorrow who has paid for his gas in rubles and who has not. I am mot interested in what Scholtz or Macron is saying today. I don’t even read the headlines. on this topic
Richard … My position too.
The so called west is a disgrace…. Five eye nations EU US are all a hollow sad mess, and I am still living here and fighting back against the corruption.
Sickening to see virtue signalling idiots in nappies ….
Nobody knows what to believe anymore such is the depth of the Pravda lies of the west.

American media: “Thug is a racist term for blacks that only white supremacists use.”
Also American media: “Putin is a thug.”
Thug is a term that originated from the Indian Death Cult of the Thuggee’s .
It was what they called themselves so its got nothing to do with white supremacists.
( there is an Indiana Jones film loosely based upon this.)
American media redefining words…..(they do this so often now….). Well spotted.
Manipulation of language is strong in the ‘Empire of Lies’
Well, “thug” has been in the US/UK/English lexicon for quite a long time.
Merriam-Webster’s Unabridged dictionary (online)
“thug noun \ ˈthəg
\
inflected form(s): plural -s
1 often capitalized : one of a group of professional robbers and murderers in India characteristically strangling their victims
2 : a person inclined or hired to treat another roughly, brutally, or murderously : gangster, killer
Origin of THUG
Hindi ṭhag, literally, thief, from Sanskrit sthaga rogue, from sthagati he covers, conceals — more at thatch
First Known Use: 1810 (sense 1)”
I assume that the first known use means in an English language context, not Hindi or some other Indian language.
A lot of people have been called thugs, or common thugs—people like Mafia enforcers, extreme bullies, etc.
It is a perfectly normal item in the English lexicon.
What is totally abnormal is for Joe Biden to label President Vladimir Putin a thug.
And otherwise intelligent people apparently found this striking enough to regurgitate—even with pleasure.
Such as my bro-in-law. I couldn’t believe my ears when he spat it out, “Putin is just a thug.”
Huh?
I think some people realized that Biden’s calling Putin a thug was extraordinarily insulting and thus transgressive, and it gave them a bit of thrill to dare to say it.
It is a vicarious bit of living-room aggression.
“Hindi ṭhag, literally, thief, from Sanskrit sthaga rogue, from sthagati he covers, conceals”
This is very interesting. As a Slavic linguist, I am inclined to say that ‘sthagati’ is a possible borrowing and a phonetic adaptation from Russian: styagat’, styagivat’ in the same meaning.
Thousands of years ago, DNA analysis show, India has had an influx of Slavic people. There are also historical accounts of Alexander the Great speaking with some Indians in their own tongue which is possible because one of the languages he spoke was Serbian.
Therefore, I can see ancient Hindu speakers hearing Slavs using the word and then adopting it.
How would Biden react if he knew that he was using an originally Russian/ProtoSlavic word root?
Indo-European language group. When the British redcoats invaded India there were reports that soldiers thought Indians spoke English. Ganghadar Tilak shows why this is in The Orion and Arctic Home of The Vedas.
Thug is (was) the name of a tribe in India that occupied land that the East India Company coveted. Not being able to dislodge them this tribe was branded as “outlaws” which meant that they had no legal protection and that anybody could rape, murder, steal, beat, enslave them and the law would stay silent. At the same time rumours were spread about their cruelty, bloodlust, evilness etc. (Sound familiar?). In quick time the tribe died out and the company got what it wanted. The word “thug” has passed on to the language worldwide, while, sadly, the tribe that gave it did not survive. Sadly even most Indians are ignorant of this history.
The practice of outlawing was a standard practice of the British in India and by the time they left India in 1947 there were 200-300 tribes that were on the outlaw list. India abolished this practice around 1954.
What the Saker calls Nazis I call East India Company. The current global system is based on this model and needs to be rid of, and is being rid of, slowly but surely.
The Thuggee were an unusual case, their name meaning ‘deceivers’ and not robbers, criminals etc.
Everything that is known about them today among westerns, solely originates from the british version of the story, which is anything but reliable.
which would… …make Putin black??
Which would make him Immune and right about everything.
Heh;) Nice one, or rather, “Das Riite!”
In any case, it’s clear that Western racism and entitlement that comes from colonialism is largely driving them in their eternal quest to destroy Russia.
Honestly, I don’t think the word “thug” as used in the USA has any racial overtones.
Hardly anyone even knows where the word came from.
Let’s not get carried away . . .
A thug is a criminal, but not in the major leagues and thug is generally ascribed to someone who’ll resort to violence/menace rather than use his brain. A good example would be a low-rank 1st term politician. By the 2nd & 3rd terms politicians become Crime Lords with Biden in his, what is it, 12th term (?) the Capo di capo, the Boss of bosses.
I grew up in America, Boston specifically. And growing up it was pretty common to hear criminals call “thugs.” There was never any consideration of race.
The WOKE need to label everything as offensive to someone(s) in particular, it seems to give them a sense of importance. Hopefully their need to label everything and everyone will exaust them into oblivion.
That is not being honest and that’s the problem in the United States always trying to downplay racism. The fact is that the word “thug” does carry racial overtones that can directly be traced back to the late Tupac Shakur’s LP “Thug Life” which was released in 1995.
This is one of the reasons why the US will never shed their ubiquitous racism because there are too many apologists and obscurantists that are too dishonest to take the proverbial bull by the horns.
If one sees what Russia and her military looked like in the nineties and compares it to the present and one can still not see the transformation brought about under the frankly brilliant leadership of Putin then all I can say to you is that you are totally dishonest and not worth spending any time on.
In 2020 US military budget just under $800 Billion (declared )
In 2020 Russia’s military budget just over $60 Billion
You’d think Americans would be asking questions as to where their money’s being invested.
Be interesting to discover where/who those budgets are attributed to and why they’re spending 13 x Russia and yet manufacturing inferior weapon/systems, decades behind in fact.
One thing you can be certain of is that every major media outlet is being financed in part from the military budget, hence all singing from the same hymn sheet. CIA are embedded in every mouthpiece, including Facefuck , Twattercrap and Google. Amazon have a booming Defence Contract with WaPo Bezos gobbling up everything on the Plantation. Their no toilet=break policy is the beginning of the end for The American Dream.
US military is private and its budget is the biggest fleecing scheme in the USA. The 1% robbing the population legally.
Being fair to American spend, they need to maintain an Empire far away from their frontiers. All those crazy expensive carriers.
Russia is focus in performance and particularly performance close to its frontiers. It could help friend countries like Siria, but not project it force in Australia.
A big part of the difference is there.
Other big part is per capita difference, adjusting per capita terms Russia spent is much higher.
And then come some corruption and give money to shareholders.
This military projection thing is really a non starter from my point of view. Everyone talks about America’s projection capabilities, yet we all know that they are not able to project said capabilities on a peer power. On the other hand Russia apparently has no projection abilities but would most certainly be able to put Australia to the sword with its long range missiles and its submarines. The reality is that warfare has changed a lot in a very short space of time.
Well put. Gone are the days when the US of A can just go trouncing on the little guy repeatedly. I notice that the biggest difference is the ability of a very modestly endowed nation to acquire countermeasures that will work against a super power type adversary. It’s also worth noting that the US military has morphed its self into an occupation force. They have grown their special operations force, but that does not win wars.
I think even a no-fly zone light was dismissed immediately be the US is the nature of it’s doctrine of air warfare- the Network Centric network enabled F35, which is loaded with com gear etc to get information from a network of sources including satellite and drones and other aircraft. It depends on not being confronted with an advanced adversary which can conduct EM operations effectively with overwhelming force. Russia can block satellite and communications over a conflict zone. And the F35 is only partially stealthy but stealth never was intended to confer invisibility over radar location radar frequency, only at x band targeting radar distances, and and Russia is big on IR anyway. The US has designed a air doctrine which leaves any F35 alone, slow and unable to maneuver or dogfight worth spit if operated anywhere this conflict zone. Russia could disable the IFF (identification friend or foe) mechanism so the F35 could not shoot beyond visual range anyway. Big Lumbering Pig.
“Other big part is per capita difference, adjusting per capita terms Russia spent is much higher.”
That’s how it goes when you can’t just inflate your currency to the moon and export the costs, at least for a while.
25 years ago the company I worked for was asked to bid on building a machine for one of the US military branches. We didn’t really want the contract for a host of reasons that aren‘t important here. Some data points:
$2 mm = commercial customer price
$8 mm = our (winning) bid that we though was high enough not to get contract
$20mm = eventual taxpayer price paid after dozens of change orders
The economic war will appear to be a lot slower. EU will call VVP’s bluff, find out it isn’t, and scream with lawsuits and any other pressure. They also have a lot of gas in storage and of course will start getting extra LNG shipments. The idea will be to keep going until Putin caves or EU gets resuppied or can do without Russian gas.
So it is a race between what the EU has in stock plus can get as LNG plus wind/solar replacement plus other (coal from Oz?) plus any energy saving tactic less the consumption of this gas.
So months not weeks – perhaps even a year or two.
Expect further twists to the pain-dial.
There are some technical issues with gas storage. North of EU have to needs start refilling storage in weeks, otherwise they not reach safe level before winter.
As far I am concerned. Germany’s gas storages are quite low on natural gas. That’s why Scholz is busy with making calls to Putin.
Storage levels are indeed very low.
According to the IEA, Europe gets 45% of its gas from Russia. Almost 70 billion Qubic Meters P.A.
That is not a replacable quantity. Even if the unloading facilities existed and the suply was available, Europe would need to be unloading 700 Q Max sized vessels PER DAY ! A fleet of 15 to 20,000 new ships would be needed to service that volume of delivery accross the Atlantic.
As I understand it only one shipyard in the world can currently build the Q Max class LNG carriers, it is in South Korea. In addition the Steel used to build these carriers needs a high Nikel content to create the required thermic properties, they are complicated beasts. It is not going to happen.
A pipeline from Quatar would be useful, but what is the realistic timeline to build one?
Can Norway up production quickly enough? Or in meaningful volume? I doubt it.
Renewables, are not nearly preductive or reliable enough….plus the storage problems. It is a use it or lose it source. Not something to run an advanced economy on.
Nuclear – yes, but the time to start building was a decade ago. Coal may end up being the answer, which would be ironic in a lot of ways.
So it will be pay in Roubles (whatever the mechanism is) or go cold, hungry and bust extremely quickly.
But the current European ‘leaders’ may well pick cold, hungry and bust anyway and somewhere deep in the Pentagon there will be some high fives and back slapping.
FYI – Ships transport LIQUEFIED NATURAL GAS ->LNG<-, which is NOT the same as the gaseous state for actual consumption [specified as just NG]. It's about a 600:1 ratio, which means that 700 ship count would be much less, but still facilities and ships aren't here now and not for any time soon.
“But the current European ‘leaders’ may well pick cold, hungry and bust anyway and somewhere deep in the Pentagon there will be some high fives and back slapping.”
They will, because that will help them push their and Klaus Schwab’s NWO agenda of the ‘ Great reset’, along the lines of agenda 2030 and agenda 21 plans. Ordo ab chao, they want to bring us their social credit system and even worse than the chinese version.
The necessary systems are being rolled out now at incredible speed, whilst nothing else is taken care of. Only the infrastructure necessary for QR code passes and the social credit system is being worked on. All other infrastructure delapidates and it gets worse every day.
Germany could restart is nuclear plants???
I don’t know if it os possible, but they will be forced to buy majority of nuclear fuel from Russia anyway.
You forgot the potential that the Free Energy Tech may be forced into the light.
This would upend the world and be very good for the people.
Excellent Gonzalo Lira analysis from where the action is:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jeirUayJatU&t=5s
The part hard to listen to is where he talks about the azov beasts’ treatment of Russian POW or their own supposedly fellow Ukrainians.
I did not anticipate that I would look at the entire hour plus video of Gonzalo’s contribution. Its beyond words I can find to describe how impressed I am by Putin for how he has responded to this western challenge…Putin and the Russian people in support of him
I no longer have any doubt about the ideological political and leadership sincerity of Vlad Putin, That he is indeed sincere, honest and committed to the well being of humanity as a whole. I say this in support of the man to buttress and support him at a time when he clearly. needs to know that there are people behind, wanted to be behind him from the start and are not convinced and committed in support of he and the Russian people, who are indeed on the side of life
Ben,
Very succinctly put. Observing events in Ukraine since 2014 iI knew that sooner or later it would come to a head. Vladimir Putin and his team headed off a putative invasion of the LDPR, uncovered the mysterious biological labs and will expose them, and removed the Nazi tumour in Mariupol – and that was just in the first month. As has now been made plain, the Western powers are nothing but an enormous death cult – it is Putin and the Russian people who are on the side of life and ordinary struggling people worldwide. I live in the UK and the propaganda is so intense it is obviously a blatant lie, and if I point this out to family then I am derided as ‘a friend of Putin’ or a ‘fellow traveller’ (a phrase I haven’t heard for fifty years). By the way, I served during the Cold War (1.0) and the Falklands War and the insane drivel I am hearing now about Russia is beyond parody. Then, we always had an immense respect for their capabilities because very sound assessments were being constantly made. One thing we were counselled against in strategy and security lectures was believing your own propaganda. If and when Russia triumphs on the ground and Ukraine gets reconfigured, reality will strike home in the collective West and the cognitive dissonance among the general populace will be great. These are dangerous, but historic times we are living in, a veritable battle between good and evil, but good seems to be gaining ground….
The Saker and Larchmonter445
Thanks for the clarification of the 600 000 figure
He did it ! The man has cojones. Respect.
Oh My. And the Take Home Quote:
How many times on this very blog .. Putin is part of the NWO. How many times that I say yes, he sure is. You’re just confused on which NWO.
How many times on this very blog .. Putin is part of the Great Reset. How many times that I say .. yes, he sure is. You just don’t know which Great Reset.
OK enough. This is an important day. Putin made a blistering speech this morning, and Lavrov is like a dancer in China and India.
India? Yeah .. India is less conflicted every day … ZZZZZone B.
Countries realized that just like the little countries, any of their assets can be raided. That was a wakeup call.
The rupture of the Davos Forum with the government of Vladimir Putin was celebrated by the Russian
philosopher Alexander Dugin:
“The World Economic Forum (WEF) has announced that it has severed “all relations” with the Russian government and Vladimir Putin due to the ongoing”attack” on Ukraine. This is great news. Russia has finally rid itself of its globalism and fanatics of the Great Reset, Schwab’s twisted world alliance of oligarchs and their associates. Now it is clear to everyone: Moscow is the capital of the Great Awakening on a world scale. Everyone on the planet now knows: this is not a regional conflict, of the “Russians against the “Ukrainians”, this is the beginning of the liberation of humanity from the liberal dictatorship of world monopolies. Ukraine is just a local hub for these elites, which have been founded against the land of the East Slavs against their will and in complete ignorance. Liberal national propaganda has turned the population into zombies. The real war is not against Ukraine and not even the West, but against the economic forums of the world and their infernal plans, which aim at the destruction of humanity by legalizing all kinds of perversions, sins and crimes.”
St Petersberg international economic forum is still to proceed in June …peoples are booking places but any from westside wont be able to use western planes…..so they are cut off…..maybe trains might run. Gonna be interesting who turns up for the new economic situation …
Already 69 countries has confirmed they will attend. List of countries in this article:
https://forumspb.com/en/news/news/predstaviteli-uzhe-iz-69-stran-i-territorij-podtverdili-svoe-uchastie-v-jubilejnom-pmef-2022/ (article’s text is in english)
Of the 69 countries that have already confirmed that the will attend, are many western countries. I guess that they applied last year, and now they will not come. I hope they have to pay the fee anyway….
““The World Economic Forum (WEF) has announced that it has severed “all relations” with the Russian government and Vladimir Putin due to the ongoing”attack” on Ukraine. T”
Ha ha ha, and Yay!
Are the Davos crowd in a dumbness competition with the USA and the EU?
Dugin is a rather toxic character with no credibility in Russia.
A typical 6th columnist
I think lots of people would be very grateful if you wrote an article about him someday. We absolutely don’t understand the guy. Some time ago, there were people trying to sell the idea that he was “Putin’s ideologue”. Well, it’s not difficult for me to understand that Putin doesn’t need any “ideologue”. But still, this Dugin plays an ambiguous role. And seems to be respected by some people whom I respect, myself. I’m happy to see that you have this opinion… Which coincides with my intuition. Anyway, I would like to read more about him.
Two points about the 6th Column in Russia:
1) The Black International (including about Dugin) – https://blackintl.net/
2) The Sect of Methodologists – https://www.business-gazeta.ru/article/324973
In this connection, I recall Kennan’s “Long Telegram”: “This is an excellent reason to believe that the government is actually a conspiracy within a conspiracy; and I am not inclined to believe that Stalin himself gets an objective idea of the political situation in the world” – https://histrf.ru/read/articles/dlinnaia-tielieghramma-tiekst
If The Saker had publications about them, then it would be good to read. If not, then get an assessment of knowledgeable people, whether this information can be trusted and how to treat it.
Sites in Russian, use an online translator.
Thanks
Is Dugin in with the WEF?
That wasn’t clear (to me) from Andrew’s post.
Martin Armstrong is one who asserts that one of Putin’s goals is to neutralize the WEF and its program.
That would certainly be good news to me.
Exactly. Today I read a report saying the British stole nearly $45 trillion worth of economic benefits from India during the colonization period. The Indians are smart enough to that see all the important countries north of their border including China, Pakistan, Iran and Russia are already belong to the B zone.
They are preparing people to live out of their trunks here, talk about low baggage, and this is just from the coming economic fallout.
How about a bet that US will steal India’s reserves if it firmly joins Zone B?
Even I support this war, just to get rid of the criminals i still have a bad feeling there is more to it than the eye sees.
So yes, still Klaus Swab, Henry Kissinger, the 5 big regions of the NWO, breaking up countries in small units without military power to defend against UN army.
There is a game ongoing and besides the insiders, nobody knows what the end result will be. Just one expression of what possible could be behind it.
https://off-guardian.org/2022/03/30/is-russia-the-real-target-of-western-sanctions/
This is a dirty NATO pharse but I ll use it:
“How is Russia going to win harts and mins of Ukrainians in the eastern Ukraine?”
What would be the best?
liberating them from Nazi and their murder
give them civilized living conditions
incorporate them into Russia
Feed them, provide safety and stability. Invest and actually develop the country rather than rob it blind. Most people aren’t that ideological, they just want security and a decent life. Saw an interview with a 40 year trolly bus driver in Mariupol and she said her pension was 1,500/month in Ukraine while her friends in Russia got 15,000/month equivalent. Put all the pensioners on a Russian pension and you have their hearts and minds, and their kids and their grandkids who don’t have to worry anymore.
The US uses the phrase but never actually does it. Or at best thinks it’s an ideological battle. Russia already started by running an absolutely massive humanitarian aid operation concurrently with the SMO. They’re filling prescriptions. Hearts and minds are easy: fill stomachs and end fear.
Americans (amazingly) don’t seem to understand that every Russian soldier can speak directly to every Ukrainian civilian. Probably has things in common with them. Hearts and minds are a lot easier to win when you can talk to the population and there are things they can find in common. Another example would be how Russia already has mine sweepers working Ukrainian fields. I’ll bet fertilizer and seed shipments will (or are already) coming. That’s hearts and minds of farmers.
Agree 100% as more and more reports from liberated areas show locals approaching Russians to see whether they plan to stay the course and not leave them to the current mafia once hostilities cease.
Well, there are large numbers of Ukrainian troops amongst those people in the east. Those units (all of them?) have a large core of nationalists/nazis to keep the rest of them straight. They also loath/hate/despise all things Russians, including those people in the east of Ukraine, who they largely see as Russians and not real Ukrainians, and with whom they now share cities, and have to share ever scarcer resources.
When it comes to Russia winning hearts and minds, I suspect that it’s the Ukrainians who are already doing much of the needed work for them.
Forget it. Most Ukrainians are with the Nazis. They’re either Nazis or Nazi supporters. Antifa are a minority even in Kharkiv. Eight years of Nazi propaganda. Every other man went off to war in the east and most have wives and daughters. However, some of them might be able to be turned around quite quickly. In Germany, most were with the Nazis, hence denazification took a long time. Saker estimates 40-60 years for denazification in the Ukraine.
In the context of that NATO quote, it is relevant to also quote the infamous LBJ here, the person who became POTUS after the assassination of JFK: “If you’ve got them by the b***s, their hearts and minds will follow”. That was in the context of Vietnam. If one understands the published latter reports correctly, LBJ spent the last few years of his life incapacitated a with demolished mind, “under care”. History has proved time and again that LBJ’s smart-sounding but disgusting remark results in, or represents, policies which only worsen problems.
It’s very good news to hear that the battle in Mariupol is nearing its end. Heroic Russian, DPR, LPR and Chechen soldiers have accomplished huge victories that the entire world should be proud of. The MSM of the uncle lgbtq keep saying Russia is running out of ammunition and the military brass is giving false reports about the battlefield situation to Putin – i.e. they’re intentionally misleading him!! Also their top analysts predict that China prefers doing business with the West cause it’s more profitable to the Chinese, therefore, everybody should expect Beijing move in the direction of forcing Russia into isolation like another N. Korea!! The Western imbeciles so deeply believe in their own lies that they cannot see what’s happening around them and when they do find out it’s going be too late anyway.
Today Ukies have admitted that all their military-industrial complex is almost completly destroyed and Russia still keeps sending missiles at them.
One week earlier same Ukrops claimed that Russia is out of the bullets. :))))) The truth is that Ukies will be soon out of military targets for these rockets. :)))))
Prime minister Störe of Norway in phone conversation yesterday with VVPutin, offered to “help Putin by informing him that he has been lied to by his aids when it comes to casualties, and that Störe could give Putin the actual numbers of killed Russian soldiers, because otherwise VVP would not know the numbers, and won’t understand that he is losing the war…”
This could be a clue to his comments:
Lebensborn Program Operations
After WWII began and German armies brought much of Europe under Nazi control, the program was expanded to the occupied countries, in order to help breed the “Master Race” with local “racially valuable” women. Eventually, the program had facilities in Germany, Austria, Poland, ****Norway****, Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg, and France.
That’s the best stupid news heard in this month. Prime minister Störe must have made that phone call to VVP after a nightmare passed in the clean, integrated, Stockholm.
I think there is a pretty solid way to determine what the russians are about to do, before they actually do it.
It is fairly simple, but it goes against every principle the leaders of the west know and live by.
Listen to what the russians say they are going to do, and then assume that they will do exactly that.
They refuse to play the narrative game that the west clings to. Instead they try to replace it with sanity, maturity, and honesty.
Time and time again, USA has been proven beyond doubt to lie. They are so used to the lies, they cannot understand anyone who speaks the truth.
Not that Russia tells us everything. Of course not. But I cannot come up with one single time where they told us something, that later turned out to be a lie.
So no need for any of those expensive analysts. If our leaders really wanted to know what the russians were about to do, they could probably just call Lavrov and ask. Odds are good they would get a straight answer.
Exactly. For anyone to do what they say is utterly inconceivable to the west. Having never done it themselves it is outside their ability to comprehend.
Listen to what the russians say they are going to do, and then assume that they will do exactly that.
I agree.
But the entire world is SO used to lying politicians that everybody is deeply suspicious.
And I can hardly blame them.
How many sincere and principled leaders are there out there?
Xi, Morales, Khamenei, Nasrallah and a few more
these are very low numbers
but that is not an excuse not to see the truth and prefer prefab “opinions” to common sense and expertise
“[Machiavelli] held that political arrangements should be judged not by objective standards of right and wrong, but only by the law of success and failure. That view appears today [to be] almost unchallenged in business and politics. . . . In chapter 18 of The Prince, . . . Machiavelli discussed whether honesty and fidelity are good, and taught that a promise should not be kept when doing so would diminish one’s own power (and when conditions are not longer those that occasioned the promise). (William Catton, Bottleneck, p. 35).
So-o-o-o-o . . .
“Don’t Make Promises You Can’t Keep”
Tim Hardin’s great rendition of this song is here:

“Putin has weaponized truth!”
This one is a keeper. Good one Tom.
Starting to wonder, will Ukraine even lose any territory at all? (other than Donbass). Maybe the “agriculture oligarchs” in Russia could pressure Putin to include Cherkasy and Vinnitsa into a Novorossiya, they have huge potencial that would easily cover any economic costs related to this war.
Did you miss the precursor to the “Special Operations,” in which Russia recognized Donetsk and Luhansk as INDEPENDENT? At that point in time these areas no longer belonged to Ukraine. PERIOD. Whether they will remain independent or whether they absorb into Russia [proper] is the only thing left to settle for these regions.
What the BUFFER zone will be is also the yet-to-be-determined issue.
The South is gone. Melitopol and Kherson are history. Russian flag flying, Russian currency, Russian TV, on and on.
One week ago I made a prediction, one week more to liberate Mariupol, and one month more to eliminate the Donbass cauldron. With the first one I am spot on, right? But has anybody some news about the helicopters sent to extract people from the Azovstal? What is the story here?
For the second one, do you think it is a good guess?
As for the rest, here in the EU colonies they are still thinking that Putin is bluffing, also after his statement of today because “there are no other countries to sell gas apart from Europe”.. lol. Now it is clear, this is a voluntary self-destruction to arrive to something else.
Latest on the UKRAINIAN HELICOPTERS
https://southfront.org/more-details-on-interception-of-ukrainian-helicopters-near-mariupol-revealed/
Well the Russians promised to name names with regard to the bioweapons labs in Ukraine. Here are some:
“Earlier, we gave a diagram of the interaction of government agencies and the current military-political leadership of the United States with Ukrainian biological objects. In particular, the involvement of the investment fund, headed by Hunter Biden, in financing biological programs in Ukraine was noted.
Here is the correspondence of the son of the current US President with employees of the Threat Reduction Agency of the US Department of Defence and Pentagon contractors in Ukraine. The presence of these materials is confirmed by Western media.
The content of the letters shows that Hunter Biden played an important role in creating a financial opportunity to work with pathogens on the territory of Ukraine, providing funds for the companies Black and Veatch and Metabiota.
The published correspondence shows that the true goals of the Pentagon in Ukraine are far from scientific. So, in one of the letters, the vice president of Metabiota notes that the company’s activities will be aimed at ensuring “… cultural and economic independence of Ukraine from Russia …”, which is quite strange for a biotech company.
Today we have the opportunity to give the names of specific officials who took part in the creation of biological weapons components on the territory of Ukraine.
One of the key figures is Robert Pope, at that time an employee of DTRA and director of the Joint Threat Reduction Program, whose goal was to involve the states of the post–Soviet space in military biological activities. He is also the author of the idea of creating a central depository of especially dangerous microorganisms in Kiev.
In his letter to the Minister of Health Ulyana Suprun (by the way, US citizens) Pope highly appreciates the activities of the head of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, especially noting the provision of admission of American specialists to Ukrainian biological objects and the beginning of work on the formation of a depository of microorganisms.
Let me remind you how this activity ended: according to the available information, all pathogenic biomaterials from the storage in early February 2022 were transported by military transport aircraft to the United States via Odessa.
The coordination of military biological projects in Ukraine and the selection of performers was led by Joanna Wintrol, head of the DTRA office in Ukraine. Under her direct supervision, American projects UP-4, UP- 6, UP – 8 were implemented to study deadly pathogens, including anthrax, Congo-Crimean fever, leptospirosis.
In continuation – the Ukrainian division of the company Black and Veatch, which is headed by Lance Lippencott. He is also the main contact person for officials of the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
The company has been working in the interests of the Pentagon since 2008 as part of projects to study potentially dangerous bioagents. Among them is the UP-1 project on the study of rickettsias and tick-borne encephalitis virus in arthropods in the north-west of Ukraine. In order to globally monitor the biological situation during the UP-2 project, the company implemented a remote monitoring system for the incidence of tularemia and anthrax at Ukrainian biological facilities.
The issues of biomonitoring and information transmission were supervised by David Mustra, who is closely associated with another Pentagon contractor, Metabiota. Previously, he led military biological projects in Ukraine and Eastern Europe as part of the Joint Threat Reduction Program.
It should be noted that the activities of the company Black and Veatch caused a lot of questions even from the Ukrainian special services.
So, back in 2017, the Kherson department of the SSU in its memo indicated: QUOTE: “… recently, the potential threat of deterioration of the epidemic situation in our country has been actualized, due to the intentions of DTRA through the company Black and Veatch to establish control over the functioning of microbiological laboratories in Ukraine conducting research on pathogens of particularly dangerous infections that can be used to create or modernize new types of biological weapons …” END QUOTE.
Metabiota is known for its developments in predicting outbreaks of infectious diseases. In addition, it was involved by the Pentagon in modeling the epidemic situation in the post-Soviet space. On the territory of Ukraine, Metabiota was represented by Mary Guttieri, the vice president of the company and a confidant of Hunter Biden, which is confirmed by the materials of their correspondence.
Scott Thornton supervised the modernization of laboratories. In addition, he advised local staff on the handling of particularly dangerous pathogens within the framework of Ukrainian DTRA projects.
The information received demonstrates the direct participation of the US military department and their contractors in the planning and implementation of Pentagon projects on the territory of Ukraine. We believe that the listed officials should answer questions about the true goals of these works.”

We Americans must push to end these biolabs. They are insane. If I am the President of Russia, and a US bioweapon kills 5 million Russians I would regard that as a use of WMD and do a fail safe type solution and nuke 10 million Americans. This gain of function research is so insane a thorough investigation must be made and every Army person involved must be court martialed and given dishonorable discharges
You said it more clearly than I.
A disgrace.
Surely a crime against humanity.
Not to mention a violation of every concept of decency when in a host country.
Idea: Russian secret service kidnaps these characters and puts them on trial in Moscow.
(Cue Eichman in Jerusalem).
Or, officially charge these thugs as war criminals so that they cannot set foot outside the USA without fearing to be arrested (a la Pinochet).
I’m absolutely convinced now that the coof was one of these bioweapons. A record amount of new wealth for billionaires… basically the biggest robbery in world history.
The U.S. government represents some satanic world clique, not Americans. We Americans didn’t even elect these a–holes last time.
Wow. Is there a war crime label for “accessory to war crimes,” analogous to “accessory to murder”?
Don’t all of these activities violate some treaty?
Don’t they violate US laws?
Do Ukrainian citizens understand how their territory was being exploited?
This is how it works
https://new-wayland.com/blog/rouble-gas-payments-false-flag/
The amount of newsprint this has generated is unbelievable.
Gazprombank is the only Russian bank able to transact in Euros. Gazprom will now only accept payment into its RUB account at Gazprombank.
Therefore EU buyers will have to send EUR to Gazprombank who will then credit Gazprom with the appropriate amount of RUB.
In other words banks will have to open a correspondent account with Gazprombank rather than whoever they were using as correspondent previously in Russia.
What Gazprom was doing internally (discounting Euros into Roubles within Gazprombank), now everybody has to do. And no doubt Gazprombank will make a tidy turn on each of those transactions.
This is not the end of the US or the $
Not even the beginning of the end or the end of the beginning.
The confusion comes from thinking floating rates are like fixed exchange rates. The complete ideological nonsense from the gold standard brigade that clogs up the internet.
Don’t believe me ?
Sit back and watch it will be like nothing has happened apart from the ruble will stay strong.
A strong currency kills exports- economics 101.
So Russia has to be careful not to strengthen it too much.
This has to be the most over hyped story in the Last 50 years.
Can be summed up like this…
America today has lost some power to bully and manipulate other countries. Countries need commodities for consumption, not to act as means of settling transactions. Gold might be used for that purpose (since industrial uses are limited), but the two sides of the transaction need to be in the same place for it to be practical. Which means that countries leaving their gold there have to trust the local government.
So we cannot really think of “commodity-backed currencies,” rather that the fiat currencies of commodity producers will be attractive.
We will see further attempts for “non-aligned countries” to back away from the U.S. dollar denominated trading bloc. This might increase their political manoeuvring room, but the implications for inhabitants of the developed countries within the “U.S. dollar bloc” is limited.
You said: This has to be the most over hyped story in the Last 50 years.
Really? US/EU comes up with sanctions with openly stated goal (ok, one of the goals) of causing a free fall in the value of Ruble. Russia retaliates with a counter action that, by you own admission, will make ruble stronger. But you still think this is just hype!
It is a huge thing! Rather than EU banks hunting for Rubles, the new Gazprombank will do it for them. As long as these are short term holdings I don;t see any problem. It is just one more step from here to ask EU banks to do the foreign exchange txns themselves.
You completely miss the point. This isn’t about the mechanics of how the money moves, this is about forcing the EU to subvert their own sanctions to keep the gas flowing, thereby undermining their position. Gazprom doesn’t magically convert EU to Rubles because of Gazprombank, does it?
It was a bit hyped up. Somebody in Russia has to hold euros or dollars to exchange for rubles. The only way completely around that currency holding would be demanding gold. Or barter.
OTOH, it is a historic step, ‘a shot over the bow’. Eventually, the ruble will become a minor reserve currency. Somebody will say, ‘the ruble is down 1% today, let’s buy and hold for next month’. Convenience will take over.
Other nations will take note and demand new payment arrangements and diversify away from the dollar. The big one would be China. If they demanded yuan in payment, that would be apocalyptic. China is oddly conservative and cautious but the US will push them into harsh reaction (as they usually do).
Can someone please explain where the euros wind up? Normally, if I have it right, they wind up in the CBR where they are used for daily transactions or exchanged with euro for bonds as interest earning assets, ie savings. We all know how that all went, so why would the CBR want more assets that can be instantly frozen? People don’t realize this isn’t real money, not even real paper that worse comes to worse you can burn to heat your house, it’s just instantaneous digital balances between large commercial bank accounts who then have accounts with Reserve Banks. Like all countries the CBR’s euros and dollars are held in accounts on computers at the ECB and the Fed. If they lock you you out of your account, not let you transact, your country’s savings are “gone”. if the ECB or Fed really looses their minds they could in theory just cock a snook and tear up the IOUs, ie delete your account. I don’t think this has ever happened in banking history going back several hundred years, but there’s a first for everything – including nuclear war. So, where do the Gazprombank euros wind up?
BTW if it was me I’d do a swap with China or India, granted those countries might be trying to unload euros not gather up more, but it would be one way around it. I’d do half with both China and India, let the Fed/ECB dare and try to freeze their accounts, at some point the Fed will have frozen itself out of half the world’s economy.
You ask the big question : Where do the unfreindly Euros go?
They need to be spent quickly, what can they buy that is of value & not ‘sanctioned’?
Could Russia buy medical equipment / upgrade its health service? ( or similar) The unfreindly nations wont sell, but China gladly will. In any event the unfreindly money must be turned into secure productive assets quickly.
There is a transfer from the EU buyer to Gazprombank. That means Gazprombank gets a EUR asset of a credit within TARGET2 and the EU buyer gets a ‘K’ series EUR account at Gazprombank.
Then the EUR get sold – probably to the Bank of Russia. So the ‘K’ series account is emptied and the Bank of Russia’s EUR account *at Gazprombank* gets credited. The roubles issued by the Bank of Russia on the other side go to Gazprom into their RUB account at Gazprombank
The end result is that rather than the Bank of Russia having a frozen EUR credit within TARGET2, Gazprombank has an unfrozen EUR credit within TARGET2 and the Bank of Russia has an unfrozen EUR credit at Gazprombank.
Everybody gets what they want. The European Commission has, technically, frozen the Bank of Russia’s EUR reserves. The Germans have got their gas and are, technically, paying for them in Euros. The Bank of Russia can still issue Roubles to keep the Rouble exchange rate down and make selling gas in Euros profitable for Gazprom.
And Gazprombank gets to be the Russian central bank in the Eurozone – by proxy.
Everything continues pretty much as it did before, but with everybody pretending something has changed.
@ Billy… “Sit back and watch it will be like nothing has happened apart from the ruble will stay strong.”
…Yeah right!
Well, we are about to see how that prophecy turns out, both for the financial hegemon, for humanity, and perhaps even for our very existence as a species. That is of course the very same hegemon that has recklessly printed something in the region of an estimated 50-60 $Trillion!
Before the Ukraine watershed, there was already a trend of countries de-dollarizing because they are simply sick to death of the reserve currency being used as a coercive weapon. The recent round of dollar reserve confiscations is a pretty stark reminder of how you can expect to be treated if you do business with what are in essence rabid thugs and racketeers.
Just 3 countries [Russia, China and India combined] is a huge deal let alone Iran and great chunks of the rest of Asia, South America, and Africa as they join the fray. Perhaps more countries than ever have finally flicked up that their buying US debt is exactly what has enabled that country to perpetually victimise them both financially and security-wise.
We’ll also see how the U$ gets on in this new paradigm where not only can they no longer endlessly sell debt, but they will also need $trillions to try to stop the rot of their crumbling infrastructure. Add to that their looming gigantic trade deficits from decades of gutting their real economy, and the compounding challenges start to look pretty dire from where I’m standing.
Since 1995 the US economy has only grown 15%, whereas in contrast, China has grown ~ 1000% using its State-owned banking models and the way in which they create currency and debt.
The reality is that the US only invests ~ 20% of its GDP into the real economy as against China at 45%. Furthermore, most of the 20% in the US is invested in speculative bubbles meaning barely 1 in 5 dollars actually make their way into the real economy.
On the contrary Billy, I see this as a complete paradigm shift and a renaissance in the way international trade and currencies relate to one another.
The brand-new blueprint that I have heard Sergei Glazyev outline is the creation of a new world settlement exchange instrument pegged to those national currencies of the participating countries and created to exchange traded goods that determine real values based on the current value of up to 20 or so different commodities.
So this new creation will be very much a trade currency that is meaningful and tangibly backed… not just by gold but a whole host of tangibles. Goodbye Petrodollar, goodbye Fiat and hence no more need for US and European TBTF private banking cabals.
This should eventually also lead to the BIS becoming completely irrelevant and central banking models, currency and debt creation being reinvented so that Mr Global’s kleptocratic private banking cartel is disenfranchised into complete irrelevence.
Bring it on
Col
The US had a chance to do this with Bretton Woods but chose otherwise.
They had another chance when China asked to be given a bigger role in WorldBank, IMF in line with the size of China’s economy. The US refused. That is why we have this today.
“This has to be the most over hyped story in the Last 50 years.”
Over hyped? It’s the one of the biggest events in 100 years.
.
The rouble regaining its strength since the end of February is notable (even though possibly more volatility will shake out in the coming weeks.)
One might wish that the United States had such competency and execution grounded in national self-interest and preservation.
Why would Gazprombank accept euros when there is nothing they can do with it?
They are trucking in recruits from somewhere by the bus load, pre-wired, talking, butting heads type soldiers.
Talk of a Russian draft somewhere too, perhaps in response.
As Martyanov explained – Russia recruits twice per year. This is one of those.
To what extent is food-supply being restricted/blocked to the Ukronazis in Donbass (and, for that matter, to all the cities, including Kiev, that Russians do not control, even the steel plant area in Mariupol)? If food supply and ammunition is indeed being blocked from entering those places, how long can the Nazis possibly hold out?
Correct. This is after the financial sanctions “from hell” .
Well played Putin and Central Bank of Russia!
Gazprombank has introduced special K accounts: Putin decreed that a foreign buyer of gas first has to transfer foreign currency to a special, so called “K”, account. Gazprombank then buys roubles on behalf of the gas buyer to transfer roubles to another special “K” account, and finally on to Gazprom’s roubles accounts.
So gazprom is now not only supplying gas, but acting as the financial intermediary…No more OFAC (Office of Foreign Asset Control)!
This was a reply to Black cloud: “the rouble has recovered and is trading at pre sanctions/ pre-war level”.
How can Gazprombank buy roubles with euros in Russia?
Why would anyone in Russia want to hold euros in Russia when they cannot spend that euro?
“None of that is very advanced or exotic”: It was new to me, not knowing anything about military matters. These sorts of clear, easily understable explanations are quite useful. I have just discovered maneuver warfare on reading this.
Buy shares in Gazprombank
You cannot do so through an American exchange.
At least, you cannot buy Gazprom shares.
I bought some shares a few years ago—as soon as I read about the Power of Siberia.
They paid a decent dividend.
I sold most of them when the price was moderately high, as well as international tensions, and made a little money, but hung on to 5 shares just to see what would happen.
They are sitting there in my account but I can neither sell them nor acquire any more. At least, that is the most recent notification.
“So let me ask you all: with a eight year track of being wrong, every time, why would you listen to these clowns?”
Throughout you have been wedded to If-only-the-Papa-Czar-knewness hence the resort to blogging, thereby obfuscating the strategic advantages of the-Papa-Czar-doesn’t-knowness.
In 2014 it was Russia must (choose from various forms of emulation of the opponents including If-only-the-Papa-Czar-knewness and the “inefficiency of Russian PR) – you and your associates were wrong many times throughout 2014 and 2015 all of which is on record in various locations, and hence you and your associates were useful as useful fools.
Now you are getting emotional about Papa-Czar-doesn’t-knowness, and through the trajectories emulating Mr. Rove’s oberservation that:
We are an Empire
We create our own reality to which others respond
Whilst they are responding
We create another reality to which they respond.
Most of the analyses of “American PR” which you have seen including the current head of the CIA’s assertions, formerly with some intelligence now drowned by conformance, have been nonsense but rarely criticised or analysed through public media as the illusions of opponents are lands of opportunity.
Some do not come to analyse (with limited facility) Ceasar, but to transcend the coercive social relations which facilitate Ceasars.

When the hyenas have been howling at Putin, I suggest that the following comment, on a website, summed the situation up!
‘They are incapable of listening. They are so steeped in the world of lies they cannot comprehend a man who either tells the truth or keeps quiet if that is to his advantage. They cannot square it. It is incomprehensible to them. They then assume that he is either a very very capable liar, or is simply too stupid to lie like they do. The idea that he operates on principles different from theirs never crosses their mind.
There is a parallel there with how sociopaths perceive the world – they either assume other people are sociopaths too but they hide it so well, or that they are too dumb to be sociopaths like they are. An average sociopath cannot comprehend that there are people with actual empathy, and that this is not a sign of weakness but of strength. It is outside their experience, they cannot understand empathy because they are incapable of it, just like those western politicos who cannot comprehend political integrity.’
Another checkmate! Bravo Russia!!!
We know that two helicopters with Azov commanders were downed today. One is destroyed and none survived, but what was with the other that crashed later? Were commanders caught?
2 survivors in the other. Please read today’s sitrep. Mod.
I would not call the meetings between Ukraine and Russia “negotiations”. Russia’s set of demands are nonnegotiable. They will not budge one iota. I would call the meetings an attempt by Russia to persuade Ukraine to see the inevitable. The only thing to be negotiated are the terms of the surrender.
Ukraine’s negotiating posture is pure bluff. And they know it. And they know that Russia knows it.
My focus is totally on the facts on the ground i.e. on the military operation itself.
With the evolving maps, the letter Z comes to mind in the shape of what will be occupied territory. It will take longer for a full treaty. But after offensive operations are over and defensive positions are taken, a Z is what I see!
Operation Barbarossa II in slow motion meets a slow Bear Hug and how the Bear likes to hug.
Can anyone tell me something about land codes? I know Ukraine is 404 but where does that Come from?
No country code. Ever seen in your browser:

Excellent article that reflects our natural western cynicism to political rhetoric although Putin has often presented his views as ethical history lessons rather than rhetoric. Putin has clearly shown he is his own man not an oligarchs’ puppet. The way he has slowly neutered & manipulated the 5th columnists suggests that prior to 2015 he had to give weight to their opinions but now we can see with the western confiscated $300 billion worth of funds of the Central Bank of Russia being the key carrot that has fatally undermined the petro dollar. It is a relief now that we have concrete evidence that Putin has been sincere the whole time and that he has a secure core of very good people around him
Putin is a statesman. He makes the KGB look good. I think no other such agency has produced a similar figure. He is not a politician; he doesn’t come across as one. I think Yeltsin deserves a lot of credit for picking him, but he seems to get only a bad rap.
It was good to see Lovrov confirming where Russia stood when he thought Ukraine had agreed to recognizing Crimea as Russian, and also the independence of the Lukansk and Donetsk Republics. The Ukrainian negotiator did not actually deny having accepted all that, but pointed to some higher way of negotiating which he said had been misunderstood, even chiding them for that. Early on, it was reported that a Ukrainian negotiator was killed for siding with some Russian positions. Maybe the Ukrainian negotiators agreed on those points, but were deauthorized from above (looks likely). It’s only normal if they disagree internally now. I think the intense bombings restarted right after the Ukrainian negotiators went back on their word. Still, in that short interim, we saw what Russia was willing to accept and negotiate.

“…Yeltsin deserves a lot of credit for picking him [Putin], but he seems to get only a bad rap.”
So the whitewashing of the bumbling “darling of the West” and drunken traitor has started! Tough mountain to climb Tranquilo, harder task than cleaning up the the Augean stables.
He did not “pick” Vlad: he was given an offer he could not refuse … and it was not abstinence from the bottle.
Dear Saker,
I want to thank you for having supported and maintained that site for more than 8 years. One of the very few places where one can take advantage of your analyses often very professional and as well the great job of webmaster moderator and aggregator of news, advices from many gifted individual that have become a permanent stream of interest here at the saker.is.
Anyway I think that you tend to be over protecting re VVP who is a wonderful leader. He has since proven to be the providential stateman that Russia and the World lacked from 1991 on.
This paradoxically tend to re-inforce the point of anti-Putinist that he’s an autocratic leader that decides of everything in Russia. So the western built image of dictator gets stronger because it seems that no critic could be allowed, even to those who support the politics of the Russian Government, but are watching with concern its every move and assess the validity of any choice made by it.
The fact that there is a known 5th column in Russian governing spheres is no secret, and it the concern of every supporter of Russian that they could interfere pejoratively at each and every critical junction or inflexion of political choices.
Well you get the point, I think, which is a no-brainer. Be nice to those who fear to see all Russian effort canceled by some uncontrolled, ill-advised negotiator or decider and voice their inquietude … may be too loudly.
I believe that due to your excellent work you’re now responsible (somehow) to keep alive the beautiful site (a real haven in an ocean of misinformation) you’ve built and maintain (and hopefully increase) the audience … I also know that you often feel the weight of this burden, so I wish you the very best and above all the strength and courage to keep on the excellent work … You’re very much needed.

At some point in our lives we come to understand how to assess people that affect our lives. In that process characteristics of individuals who can not produce outcomes are brought forth. As well, the traits of those who produce outcomes will be added to our personal library of human properties and capabilities.
The moment tears ran down Putin’s face during his election victory speech, I knew he was destined to change the world. After the election I observed many who dismissed his destiny. From that I developed the understanding that the Western conscious is lost in a virtual world God/Allah has no intention of supporting. When a higher power does not see things your way, returning to reality will be very painful. That pain I think is what many people project onto Putin.
Andrei
This is a world war on several fronts against DC – a city state run by the Praetorians (Langley) who are as much opposed to the regular US citizens as to “Putin’s” Russia – and I do not think you are giving Lavrov and his diplomatic team the full credit it deserves.
Thanks to Russia’s diplomacy skills DC has discovered it has no friends only vassals and has been unable to impose sanctions beyond its vassals. Thanks to Russia’s diplomacy DC has been unable to persuade OPEC Venezuela and Iran to increase production and Biden has now resorted to the desperate measure of depleting the US Strategic Petroleum Reserve .

I noticed today that the US Government has issued a warning that all American citizens should leave Russia and Ukraine immediately
Does this mean that NATO has set a date in the near future for a Ukrainian false flag chemical attack will now go ahead?
I wonder if NATO have fully planned for the ensuing consequences?
The US said Russia would invade before the Spring thaw turned the roads to mud, and they may have fully known or suspected that Russia was prepared to invade when they did on Feb. 24. The US may have planned on Russia invading, and also as Saker opined at the time, a counter-invasion against the now revealed plans of Ukraine to attack the Donbas. Either way the US response would involve this full-scale counter PR that we now see, dividing the planet into an *us vs them* paradigm. This PR battle is a telltale sign of a long planned strategy for the current war, a war just beginning. Learning from the various experts here I suspect the US has a few playbooks to work through for the strategy they’ll go forward with, but it seems inevitable that so much propaganda can’t be for nothing. Here’s a prediction (not mine) —A Spring thaw will dampen the Russians maneuvering, as the ground turn to muck, at which time a US led nato force can begin a heroic air campaign over Ukraine to save them! Please excuse the hyperbole but as outlandish as this all seems, nuclear powers having shootouts, as long as the US thinks they can keep most of the casualties inside Ukraine, or at least limited to the continent, the risk seems very real. All of this crazy narrative has an agenda, and agendas. Unfortunately I’m stuck guessing.
Kpuck, VVP has made it very clear that retaliation for missile attacks, nuclear or not, on Russia would not be limited to euro launch sites. It would be visited upon the headquarters on the US mainland and Israel. Rest assured it has subs in the Atlantic and Med that can reach decision-makers within a few minutes. Hopefully the Ziocons understand that any conflict from a kinetic attack on Russia will not be limited to Europe.
Denazify the world. Do you think the nazis in the west will go down without a fight? It is naive to think that this war will stay confined to Ukraine. We will be in a world war sooner than later.

Hindu Group Marches to Support Russian Military Op, Slams Zelensky as Ukraine’s No1 Enemy
“Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelensky is a RAT holed up in some western embassy, making television appearances only to provoke the war and further human sufferings. The world needs to wake up to his drama, he is NO HERO, he is the enemy number one of Ukrainians and humanity,” Hindu Sena said.

“Hunter Biden DID help secure millions in funding for US contractor in Ukraine specializing in deadly pathogen research, laptop emails reveal, raising more questions about the disgraced son of then vice president
• The Russian government held a press conference Thursday claiming that Hunter Biden helped finance a US military ‘bioweapons’ research program in Ukraine
• However the allegations were branded a brazen propaganda ploy to justify president Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine and sow discord in the US
• But emails and correspondence obtained by DailyMail.com from Hunter’s abandoned laptop show the claims may well be true
• The emails show Hunter helped secure millions of dollars of funding for Metabiota, a Department of Defense contractor specializing in research on pandemic-causing diseases
• He also introduced Metabiota to an allegedly corrupt Ukrainian gas firm, Burisma, for a ‘science project’ involving high biosecurity level labs in Ukraine
• The president’s son and his colleagues invested $500,000 in Metabiota through their firm Rosemont Seneca Technology Partners
• They raised several million dollars of funding for the company from investment giants including Goldman Sachs”

Hopefully this assessment iby Scott s right. It ties in with the actions in the economic theater, where Russia is clearly showing its resolve, supported by many Eurasia countries.
I am not a military expert and trust such sources more than my inner fear that the operation could fail. Mistakes are made, one can only learn from them. The regrouping surely looks like a monumental blow is about to happen in the Donbass.
Pepe’s elaborate analysis on the future of Mariupol is another prime example that a fundamental change is taking place.
Given that Rostov-On-Don as the other export hub on the eastern bank of the Sea will definitely see more grain export activity once the operation cedes the Azov Sea could well become a prominent hub as such. It could well become an export hub for commodities and turn into a trade center for Eurasia.
“Now the Ruble is back on its pre Feb 24th position, but they won’t consider that as relevant.”
From all available evidence, the President of the United States has not been informed of this.
Let’s not kid ourselves. The ruble is likely to have gained value because international trading in it has become much more illiquid and is easily supported with Russian central bank intervention. It has very little to do with any economic strength of Russia under severe sanctions.
The literally limbic and thus irrational hatred of Putin has been carefully developed in Western populations over the past couple of decades. This was overlaid on the already generational fear and hatred of Russians among Western populations. because it is so deeply ingrained in the limbic systems of these populations it is entirely beyond their rational capacity – limited as it is. Precisely the same has been achieved with Trump and in far less time. The propagandists who control the media have it down to a hard science at this point. They can make Western populations believe almost anything they choose. For instance recently they have convinced vast swathes of the Western population, including leading politicians and intellectuals, that a man who says he is a woman is actually really a woman. The internet & social media have exponentially expanded the power of the elites to control the minds of their domestic populations. As Chomsky recently said…. most people do not know what is really going on in the world…..and they dont know that they dont know. I know that in some of you reading this your limbic systems will be triggered by certain words….usually proper nouns. I wonder will you notice. Probably not.
To the Saker …
I can fully understand what Scott Ritter is saying. But, I have several advantages over ‘my fellow Americans’.
For one, I have a librarian in my family tree. I thus come from a family of ‘readers’. There was probably a book in my cradle besides a teddy bear. Now, admittedly, I’ve explored further into fields of history and philosophy than most of my relatives, but I have the advantage of coming from a family that would still say “The book is always better than the movie”, and in an age of widespread functional illiteracy, that’s been a blessing.
I also combined that with growing up around historical battlefield’s and took a boy’s love of playing bang-bang and turned it into an avid reader of history. Since I have gray hairs, in my time this meant having access to a lot of world war II history. I didn’t go to a rich school, but by the time I left high school, I think I’d read every book in the schools history section. And that was only the beginning of a life’s journey for me.
And you take this reader of history and put them into the Cold War 1.0, and I could not help but to pay attention to later renditions of the ideas of Manuever War and other thoughts of modern warfare.
Add to that a technical education, with a minor in history taken because to me that was fun amongst the technical classes, and so yes, I do laugh when Mr. Martyanov goes on and on about Liberal Arts because there is a lot of truth in that from the eyes and ears of a retired technical expert. Especially when you count the plague of American MBA’s as ‘liberal arts’.
And then, travel broadens the mind and the soul, and I’ve been fortunate in that even for an American I’ve seen a lot of this country beyond its cookie-cutter, carbon-copy suburban cities. And I am the rare American who has traveled outside of America, and even outside of the American-friendly zones of Canada and Mexico. There are large parts of this world I have not seen, and I regret that both Russia and China are among them. But I’ve seen a lot more of this world than most Americans, and even more of America than most Americans.
I would also say that it helps that I have largely turned off ‘American media’.
So, I would conclude by saying that all of the following are true ….
I read the Saker
I understand Scott Ritter
I am very unusual for an American.
As a poet once kinda-sorta wrote, “where two roads diverged in the woods, I took the road less traveled, and that has made all the difference.” But yes, I understand everything that Scott Ritter says, and think he is correct. I wish I spoke for ‘my fellow Americans’, but sadly, I don’t. These days, I feel that the best I could wish for is that their superhighway through what used to be the woods would eventually lead them to the point where I can no longer hear them, but sadly, no, even that appears to be asking for too much these days. Fortunately, I do have music I like and a loud stereo system.
Zone A: Give Us Barabbas!
One problem is that the Americans have confused the words ‘negotiate’ and ‘surrender’.
In a society that is largely functionally illiterate as the oligarchs both controlled and de-funded the schools, this is not surprising. After all, they are both multi-syllable words. This is a country that writes in emojis.
But the Americans obviously believe both that if they ‘negotiate’ that is the equivalent of ‘surrender’, and that if anyone else is negotiating with them, then that is just a formality preceding their surrender.
Again, this is not surprising in a society where the peak of culture is a comic-book movie and a Super-Bowl halftime show.
America is a blizzard of Propaganda. And at times, its efforts at mind-control are quite impressive. Insane, but impressive Al Qaeda jihadis become pro-democracy rebels fighting the tyrant Assad. Now we fight along side the brave blonde nazis of Ukraine to win democracy. Our politics is split between believing that Joe Biden is a liberal and the champion of black people who vote for the Senator from MasterCard because of the Myth of Obama, and an opposing cult of personality that says that a movement that wants to “lock them up” is really a movement of Freedom. The Oligarchs of America wag the people around like a dog.
Americans can only find reality when it understands that the whole spectrum, from Newsmax to FoxNews to CNN to MSNBC to Jacobin, are all a bunch of liars. Different flavors of lies, designed to appeal to different audiences, but everyone of them a liar at the core.
Reality is what you see when you turn off all of the screens. What you are going to eat? Where are you going to sleep? How are you going to stay warm in the winter? How are you going to avoid heat death in the heat waves? Are any of these morons blowing stuff up near you? Can you make them stop?
“The enemy is anyone who is trying to get you killed. No matter what uniform they are wearing.” -Yossarian, “Catch-22” by Heller.
Can anyone imagine corrupt Joe sitting at a table with the current military minds and the current economic minds and discussing solutions to the stated “Ukraine” problem?
No one can.
Perhaps the strategy of the globalists is to destroy the very core of American government, institutions, systems and culture.
That is working.
Is there a solution to redeem the United States?
Do you really want to redeem the US?

Thanks, bonbon, for Matthew Ehret’s amazing must-read analysis on the global conspiracy (fact), a labyrinth of organized evil hidden in plain. This ties together so many seemingly unrelated “disasters” that are otherwise so perplexing. Putin and Xi are facing down and winning a war against the most satanic multi-generational organized crime syndicate ever spawned in hell. The historical breadth of Ehret’s analysis is truly impressive. Bravo!
Thank you Saker for your tireless updates and analysis. I have benefited greatly from your efforts. Patrick Lawrence wrote recently about getting a critical understanding of the most important issues of our time through the approach of history, chronology, context, causation, and responsibility. IMO I have found this to be the lens that President Putin and FM Lavrov most often use in their many speeches and interviews. This logical and straightforward understanding then gives the listener a greater depth and breadth of what’s going on. Thank you for translating and posting their public statements. It is always a master class from both of these great leaders.
Question
Whose foreign exchange reserves will the US steal next?
My vote is India.
When it steals from a country in the bottom 20 percent you will know for sure that the Empire is no more. But by that time the rest will be in a position to punish them for stealing.
It’s a checkmate on all US allies whether they see it or not. It may take a little while. Wait until the winter… Then I believe they will leave NATO and the US in order to survive and prosper. I think Macron sees that.
I’d like to understand why Putin is being hated so deeply. Finding that hate is easy. I had a look at the Scott Ritter’s thread. Any Russia related new is presented with a warning. Any cursory look at the infos gave me an insight about that hate. Putin is the president of Russia.
I see him as a competent man, doing his job. The politics of his country is about independence. I consider that it should be the political core of each country in the world. A given population can in such circumstances answer a challenge the way they choose. That is basic democracy. Then, each time some countries wish to work together to reach a given goal become something highly positive. He stands for that in my mind.
I see him as a man true to his word. He gave an ultimatum and was not believed. He went into action. This is only the last example of his stand “I do what I say”. That appears to me as human decency. His word has value and an history testifying for that. I love it.
Russians appreciate the man. He actually represents them and fights for them. In that situation, I’d also be totally sold to him. He united the country.
I do not. understand the rage against the man. Btw, Trump got an analogous treatment. I do not understand that hate too. I do not see the connection between them and the rage. Calling them Hitler and other stuff like mysoginist, racist and the whole book of woke’s insults makes here no sense. There is a gigantic gap between the hate and what they did or are doing.
If I could find a politician representing me in the West, I’d also totally be in that person. If I could find a party fighting for me, I’d also be in that party. If I could find MSM outlets with actual informations, I’d buy them.
I agree with the idea that Western elites hate Putin but I do not see any reason for that.
And they do that with a passion. Neglecting fact like Nazi fighters, bombing the Donbass, accusing Russia not to implement a paper she did not sign, never uttering a peep about the clear refusal of Ukraine implementing it, also testifies for the existence of that hate.
I’d like to understand why that hate. For the moment, I never saw a satisfactory explanation. The Crusade against Russia looks more like a made up thing with a lot (I don’t have a stronger expression – so much that insanity should be in the expression) of propaganda. The creation of covid 19 fear looks like a warming up in comparison. The assault on reality reached such a level that insanity is not strong enough to describe and do have troubles understanding insanity. We are being programmed to hate (Orwell saw it coming). The very serious work of denouncing conspiration theory might be a way to “protect” me from understanding that I’m under the assault of consistent lies at a scale never seen before. The hate could be a pure fabrication. I live in the West, a place where reality is a social construct. Therefore, it is possible. That hate could be a social construct made by the elites, my elites and I’ll be hated, despised and rejected if I accept that idea. To me, it’s more a proof of it than a reason to reject it. If it were ridiculously wrong, it would have been laughed to death.
In the end, that running world war is an assault of the Western elites on his competitor. Now, Russia is in the crosshairs. China will be in that position if Russia falls. They know. The Build Back Better of the Great Reset will then be totally implemented. That war is waged in our hearts.
So, if a satisfactory explanation for that hate is given, I’ll learn a lot about my elites. It’s going to look ugly. They’re going to look bad. That is my bet and that might be the reason why they hate Putin that much. The West is crumbling under the boot of the elites and they will fight to the last of us to keep their power. OK, my proof for that is flimsy at best. It horribly looks like Alex Jones stuff. He has been depicted as bad by people I do not trust. So I wonder about him. My picture of Jones has been created by people I do not trust.
Thank you for your comment.
Hate was always one of the prime objectives of the controllership of Zone A.
This was planned, and it was planned out of fear, and from a position of weakness (a very robust trend).
Did you see the video?
Putin and his team (this was a conspiracy, don’t you know…) have just broken the Empire of Lies! The Vassal Toadies in Europe, are going to have a certain high level of strife and churn; who knows how far they can fall in standard of living, they seem pretty bent on looking for the bottom.
With the coordination of any (world power) comprehensive strategic partner, that you might have… lying around, Russia/China has just harpooned the beast of the petrodollar, and the self-same world currency reserve and global trade currency status, which has enabled the most monstrous thievery in human history.
The thieving class are very upset!
The thieving class are part of the cabal of ideological devotion to the hatred of humanity.
All they have left is the highly advanced information warfare capability, and they’ll go down swinging with it, at the very least.
enjoy the show
* Sir,
* If I understand you, an elite has been challenged. Its goal is to achieve a limitless power on each of us. Putin got the memo and accepted the fight.
* That elite is therefore mad at him. He wants to deprive them from what they consider their legitimate property.
* You have a good point here but the hate I see here is stupid and counterproductive to that goal. Forbidding the use of Z as a symbol won’t stop operations in Ukraine, won’t hurt Putin. Calling him a dictator and the new Hitler has no meaning. One cursory look at him and his popularity gives me reasons to reject it. Refusing to buy Russian exports will disrupt the Western economies. And so on… In short, that elite of « Übermenschen » is seriously busy shooting their foot on that one.
* I prefer the attitude of a professional killer in a movie. He explained to the hero (Robert Redford) that killing is easy. You come in. You shoot. You leave. No fuss, no shouts, no celebration. It’s a job. You perform well and you get paid. Doing that is the mark of a great professional that merits his earnings. This character killed without hate and he was good at it.
* The « thieving class » shows stupidity here and their hate is a form of it. My question remains open.
* Thank you for the point.
A remark by Putin a few years ago, where he said Prometheus was chained to a rock at Sochi.
First, he knows Greek mythology.
And likely knows the hate the Titans had to torture for eternity even one of their own.
Many think it was because Prometheus gave the gift of fire, seasons, hope to mere mortals.
But is was because Prometheus knew the secret of the downfall of Zeus, and refused under torture to reveal it.
And people think this is just a story….
* Sir,
* You are comparing Putin to Prometheus, a titan. Both deserves a great and positive reputation. My question is why Putin is being that hated. Prometheus in your text was hated with a passion as important as the one I see about Putin. You have a point here.
* Greek mythology is deeper than I imagined. Then my question remains. Why both were hated that much? You gave me an analogy that feels relevant to me. The same process is in action there. Which one?
As I was reading through this, and where you say you cannot understand the hate that the Western elite, in particular, have, it began ringing bells with me. If you get a chance, have a look at Andrei Lobaczewski’s “Political Ponerology.” I believe that is where I saw this. (It’s been a while and I’ve read several other books on the subject.) He said that when psychopaths manage to gain the upper hand in a society and implement rules based on how they see the world, they consider their self-serving, coldly rational Machiavellian approach to be self-evidently superior to the moralistic, emotion-ridden approach of the people they have defeated through cunning, and they try to get people to snap out of their childish “fairy tales.” But more than that, it enrages them, because values like love, honor and courage are something they cannot understand despite being beaten over the head with them all their lives, but no matter what they do, they cannot extirpate these appalling (to them) values. Meanwhile, their “inferiors” band together courageously, even willing to sacrifice their own lives, those smarmy little twits. The rage hits 10 on the VEI scale. They really, truly hate us.
* Madam,
* Thank you for the tip! I had a short look at it. You are in heavy lifting. What I read is about things I do not understand and do not like them. I have problems understanding your text but it does feel spot on my question.
* I need to read several times my infos and put my hand on that book. It won’t be an easy reading. I need to understand what « psychopath » means.
* I feel bad when « their self-serving coldly rational Machiavellian approach to be self-evidently superior to the moralistic, emotion-ridden approach of the people they have defeated through cunning, and they try to get people to snap out of their childish “fairy tales.” » It describes several groups I read about and from. They all are into « educating » me. All bells in my head are ringing when you write that values likes love, honor and courage are things they can’t understand and can’t get rid of. In short, your picture of them is about a group of human under the spell of a self serving ideology making them believe their are superiors beings (transhumanism is a soft version of it) but vulnerable to things they do consider disgusting. They want to get rid of these pesky things at any cost. Putin incarnates these things. I recently noticed that disgust makes somebody kills or bully the bearer of the disgusting trait. The thing escapes them and repels them. They poke at it until it disappears.
* I do not know whether I’m on it. But some bearer of an highly repugnant thing is automatically a target to destroy. Personally, getting rid of Nazis makes me feel better. I do not mind their disappearance. So, I can recognize a pattern I have in common with the Putin’s haters.
* My idea of humanity contradicts it. « Thou shall not kill ». If you succeeded into freeing yourself from the bearer of that truth « Thou shall not kill », the reason I wrote about and above is totally free to work. If the « pesky bastard » dares to fight back and put limits on these « superior beings », he’ll trigger a hate I can’t fathom.
* Love, honor and courage are here the repulsive things at work among Putin’s haters according to you and my understanding of it.
* I think you are correct. They are « superior being free from love » since they have a clear idea how the world works. Reason is the only used and useful tool in their minds. Doing anything outside reason is here meaningless.
* Honor and courage take non reasoned principle being put into actions. They are out.
You gave me a lot of food for thoughts. Thanks.
Ps to the marine, Americans never had ‘it’.
Andrei:
I have to say, having… for some time… observed with increasing probability, the high intelligence and integrity (I am very partial to integrity, where and whatever as it is identified) of VVP, and very easily identifying the rather significant delta in his performance as state leader, compared to all “peers” (you know what I mean), and beyond, I have to say, about the video (thank you, for that, by the way)…
… and yet the promise of more!
for the Zone A leaders… ahh, it is a real failure when one caves to cynicism, yet, we can reliably predict…..apparent stupidity, or equivalent, for some time… Likely… as in my northerly perch, even increasing authoritarianism by the toadie vassal regimes.
….but the thing of beauty, that video, and the ongoing… delivery of chunks of reality
there is no fiction that out does it!

https://t.me/intelslava/24096. Belgorod in Russia attacked by Ukro helicopters. Ugly carelessnes of Russian air defense or perhaps ploy to make Russians angry as hell.
This time I could concur with the ukrops that it is a false flag. This or an american attack. Why? Because I watched the video. I admit I am no expert, but the choppers didn’t look at all like your typical soviet made chopper. A Ka-52 or something like the Blackhawk or Apache. Maybe I am wrong. But it would be interesting to have an opinion by someone more knowledgeable.
American satellites and intelligence at play.
Cannot figure this out?
Is Russia The Real Target Of Western Sanctions?
https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/russia-real-target-western-sanctions
How is it that the hohols managed to destroy an oil depot in Belgorod, Russia, without the missile being shot down?
It was helicopter attack, according to Telegram channels.
Translation from Colonel Cassad…
“I see that everyone here is excited about the successful attack by Ukrainian helicopters on the Belgorod oil depot. Yes, of course, this is an unpleasant incident, but I would not draw long-term conclusions from it.
Firstly, a helicopter, due to its special features, can always get below the lower level, where air defense systems can detect air targets, and if there is no military air defense with MANPADS and Shilki in this direction, then helicopters have a pretty good chance to slip through.
And secondly, it must be borne in mind that we are not waging a war against Ukraine, but against the entire collective West, and practically all the resources of the NATO bloc, including the American space intelligence component, are operating in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. And they have very serious opportunities in space. I will repeat again. Very serious.
You know the famous Hubble Space Telescope? So, this one Hubble looks at the stars, and seven more similar reconnaissance satellites the size of a trolleybus fly around our Earth and do reconnaissance. And how many other satellites are still flying there, which monitor the actions of our armed forces in different ranges, it’s not enough to list the length of the post in telegrams.
Look, just because the Americans don’t publish different pictures of their intelligence doesn’t mean they don’t have them.
Therefore, the United States could well tell the Armed Forces of Ukraine the optimal direction of the attack on the Belgorod tank farm. It wouldn’t be too hard for them.
Now, as for us.
Why am I writing that we in Russia need to create a new national security operating environment?
And because we need to move to a new technological order in order to ensure the national security of our state and to protect political investments in tomorrow. We need to take a quantum leap. Jump to a whole new level.”
All that is very well, but one would ask himself how come that such important facility as big oil depot, not to far from area of operations, is not protected 24/7 with several MANPAD crews (or even observation drones). If I assume deducing possibility of very low flying helicopters attack should have been in minds of planners.
So, yes, obviously a helicopter can fly “under” the radar …. but c’mon! Thats what MIG31 is all about! Its the radar “FROM ABOVE”! and it should see everything
If there was no MIG31s on patrol along Russias active conflict zone i’d say someones head should role.
So, my take is its either that or a Russian false flag
Digging a little deeper on the sanctions, I saw an interesting article (re-upped by ZH) which hypothesizes that all the sanctions placed on Russia by TPTB were not so much to hurt Russia, but to hurt the US (and the West in general). It is possible that the actions taken to ‘force’ a Russian response in the Ukraine and the resultant sanctions were pre-planned to induce a global recession/depression – with the ultimate objective being a ‘reset’ on TPTB’s terms. Interesting…
“Is Russia the Real Target of Western Sanctions?”
https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/russia-real-target-western-sanctions
“Soaring oil prices, energy and food crises on the horizon… is it possible the REAL target of this economic war is us?
…
So, the sweeping sanctions imposed against Russia by the West, allegedly in response to the invasion of Ukraine, are not having their stated aim – tanking the Russian economy – but they are driving up the price of oil, creating potential energy and food shortages in the West and exacerbating the ‘cost of living’ crisis created by the ‘pandemic’.
You should always be wary of anybody – individual or institution – whose actions accidentally achieve the exact opposite of their stated aim. That’s a simple rule to live by.
…
We need to be asking: What exactly is the real aim of these sanctions? And how come they align so perfectly with the great reset?”

Remember how Orwell described the evolution of the concept of war in 1984:
War, it will be seen, is now a purely internal affair. In the past, the ruling groups of all countries, although they might recognize their common interest and therefore limit the destructiveness of war, did fight against one another, and the victor always plundered the vanquished. In our own day they are not fighting against one another at all. The war is waged by each ruling group against its own subjects, and the object of the war is not to make or prevent conquests of territory, but to keep the structure of society intact.
Recall that “the worst food shortages for fifty years” were predicted as a result of Covid. But they never materialised.
Likewise, we were due to experience Covid-related energy disruptions and power cuts. Short of the UK’s damp squib of a “petrol crisis”, they never really arrived.
But now they are heading our way after all – because war and sanctions
Increased food prices, decreased use of fossil fuels, lowering standards of living, public money poured into “renewables”. This is all part of a very familiar agenda, isn’t it?
Regardless of what you feel about Putin, Zelensky, the war in general or Ukrainian Nazis, it’s time to confront the elephant in room.
We need to be asking: What exactly is the real aim of these sanctions? And how come they align so perfectly with the great reset?

Insane DENIAL of REALITY and FACTS – (such as this documented statement of the highest representatives of Russia and China) – can not contribute to understanding the world we live in or the amount of Evil that pours at our feet.
Unfortunately, not only do literally all the analysts on this portal DENY this fact (from the link) – but theyhere also massively censor the documents that some are trying to offer – to offer for discussion here.
I am almost certain that this comment with an incredible DOCUMENT will be deleted from the censorship of this portal.

As soon as Ukrainians start anything there that would threaten Russia, they will get a missile in their “head”. Russia didn’t intend to keep it forever, the reason they have been there “in person” is no longer relevant, at least compared to the need of personel in east Ukraine from now on.
Thank you Andrei
I still have a niggling fear that the Russian Central Bank is working against the will of Russia, this is mainly prompted by this artcle (https://thealtworld.com/paul_craig_roberts/does-the-kremlin-know-what-it-is-doing)
Could you at some time address this issue.
“… Russian Central Bank is working against the will of Russia …”
Russian Central Bank – ****IS*** – working against the will of Russia!
And that is a fact – defined in Russian federal law.
https://www.consultant.ru/cons/cgi/online.cgi?req=doc&rnd=fC7hoA&base=LAW&n=32885#JkcCk1T6KhoriQoB
It is a privately owned entity that is liable only to the OWNERS of that central bank. No one else.
And the Owners of CB worldwide – are the same!
This is a horrible fact that analysts (like Saker) – unfortunately, do NOT want to see with disgust…That is why all such analyzes (which do not considered CB ownership) – are totally meaningless, because they intentionally overlook this fact
The beginning of this post and remarks about Putin and parrots replying US PSYOP narrative about him for years – I could not agree more.
But let me remind about the same thing taking part in Serbia.
In Serbia, there is exactly same situation regarding president Vucic.
The difference is: he will “sell out the Kosovo” instead of he will “sell out the Donbass”
Vucic is about to betray and sell Kosovo for last 10 or so years, only he does not. Perhaps waiting for right moment and in the meantime upgrading Serbian military to highest possible level, rising Serbian economy and getting sovereignty over the country as much as possible in the environment that he inherited from western puppets – Democrats (coincidence is their flag is yellow-blue). And perhaps that is why Serbia is the only country in Europe currently not sanctioning Russia and the only country where you can get balanced information in media, although surrounded by NATO countries.
There is a PSYOP towards Vucic in pretty much same manner. It is currently lead by western controlled media in Serbia (by США и Германиа) and taking shape of open destabilization attempt.
The most interesting for me is that you Saker, recently took a stand in favor of this anti-Vucic PSYOP actively. I personally took part in few discussions where you took side of Vucic’s opponents in the same way, with same arguments that you are now accusing Putin’s opponents for being wrong. I would very much like this to understand this. Why looking in a different way pretty much the same thing when being applied to Vucic?
“… The difference is: he will “sell out the Kosovo” instead of he will “sell out the Donbass”…”
The analogy is correct.
However – the analysis is shallow and two-dimensional.
(Like practical every analysis on this portal) …
The PRIVATE owner of “Srpska-narodna-banka” is completely the SAME as that of the Bank of Russia …
So the “money factory” in Serbia and Russia – (as well as in other so-called countries with so-called “central banks”) – is identical!
Each part of the “three-part democratic governmental system” (executive, legislature and judiciary) – work exclusively for the so-called “money” they receive from these PRIVATE CBs.
Owner of CBs – owned the “countries”!
Thus, every so-called “political power” is absolutely under the control of the Owner of the “money factories”.
@istrazuj
Is this a classic trolling comment?
“The PRIVATE owner of “Srpska-narodna-banka”…” – there is no such thing (institution).
You probably refer “Народна Банка Србије” but do not even know the institution by name.
The rest of your comment is about as relevant as your basic knowledge is.
“… You probably refer “Народна Банка Србије” but do not even know the institution by name….”
OK…
https://nbs.rs/sr_RS/indeks/
You try (unnecessarily) to show that you are “very smart”.
Serbian is also my language – and the meaning of the phrase I used is EXACTLY the same as the “official name” of the “Narodna Banka Srbije” (NBS).
The Rothschild’s “Central Bank of Serbia” is officially called the “Narodna Banka Srbije” (NBS). (Same for all other CBs)…
There is practically no difference with what I wrote in the first comment.
Only a fool is called upon to “trolling” – without first ascertaining the essence of the comment.
The NBS is an integral part of the so-called BIS (Bank of International Settlement) – which is the central bank – of all central banks (including Serbian and Russian).
https://www.bis.org/cbanks.htm?m=1009
It is owned by “private investors” – and the so-called states have NOTHING to say about BIS’s business (as you could see by yourself from Russian federal law I attached link in previous comment).
It is the real Spider in the center of the web of Evil.
And please, spare me your future stories about your “knowledge”…
Thanks
Putin needs to give total freedom of action to a young general as top commander like Zhukov and Rokossosky in the great patriotic war. There has to be a top commander on the ground, not Shoigu micro-managing from Moscow.
1) The surprise is those helicopters coming to Azovstal or in the north going to belograd. It seems that Russia is not controlling the air space above Ukraine. Russia seems to be missing something like awacs or satellite to monitor to control what is in the air. This is probably an explanation of Russia imossibility to tell what happened to MH 17 which was downed few years ago..
2) Ukraine for 8 years have refused to abide tothe Minsk agreement, they had signed. They have shown that they cannot be trusted. Why negotiating with people that are known to not abide to their word ?
3) will the Dombass include in the future Mariupol and make Azov a russian sea ?
4) How to make sure that Ukraine wil not cut water to Crimea as they have done ?
5) What can be done with Galicia in the future since we know that its population will be still hating Russia ?
There is still a long way before an acceptable and lasting solution can be find for this crisis
“This is probably an explanation of Russia imossibility to tell what happened to MH 17 which was downed few years ago.”
They did though. Complete with satellite photos and witness testimony. Just because you didn’t pay attention doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.
There are 2 things I would comment on. The first, this article poses questions, highly relevant questions about why the West, in essence, are in complete denial of the truth where Ukraine is concerned. Secondly, for me anyway, it highlights the vicious, malicious, vitriolic hatred the West harbours towards Russia which has led to a hysterical response, a response that, without blinking or thinking, is irrational, full of hatred and I think, and this is my personal opinion, a school playground spiteful reaction to the fact that President Putin (God Bless Him) has thrown into turmoil the Leaders of the USA and the West (including the EU) aspirations to become totalitarian Dictators implementing the WEF’s ideals of total control and subjugation of the common people of their countries. They have, to all intents and purposes, been derailed and are hitting back out of pure hatred rendering their decisions completely irrational. For goodness sake, what self-respecting Leader of any country would sacrifice the economic well-being of their country and citizens for what, essentially, was known to be the most corrupt country in Europe, the Ukraine. and a Nazi state implementing the same policies as Nazi Germany under Hitler. It is incredible to watch. Zelensky is a Nazi and a War Criminal and should be tried as such. He is in hiding and has been since the end of February 2022. He’s a coward, a thief and a Nazi no more no less. But, the EU and the USA and the West, unwilling to admit their serious errors of judgement, have become so entrenched in their deep deep hatred of Russia they are unable to think rationally or to admit they have been led by the nose by the USA.
It also highlights to me the rush to sanctions against Russia was hysterical and no thought was given to the blowback. Russia however, were ready for them. It shows to me the qualitative difference between the calibre of the Leaders, politicians and economists of the West against those of China, Russia, India, Pakistan and other countries not hostile to Russia. What a huge difference. Russia appears to have properly qualified economists, financial analysts and economic gurus who are far far better qualified than any in the West. I am impressed by the quality of their decision making i.e. pegging the Ruble to the Gold Standard, demanding payments for Rubles for Gas and oil and soon for other commodities turning the Ruble into a gold linked currency and essentially, backed by commodities. Sound, professional decisions based on competence, skill, analysis and understanding of the international financial markets. The West and the USA? Well, the are morally and intellectually bankrupt and are now fighting and scrabbling around for their own economic survival due to seriously incompetent economic and financial decision making all led by the USA without a clue what they are doing and making decisions that are, quite frankly, ridiculous, harmful to their own citizens and economies and to their industrial bases. I pray to God every night to Bless President Putin and Russia, that Macron horribly loses the French Election, that Orban remains as President of Hungary and other things.
We are watching living history, a change in the world order, a considerable shift in power from USA to the East, the end of the dollar hegemony and the petro dollar as a reserve currency. When Russia win the situation in Urkaine and the truth does ultimately emerge, people are going to feel very stupid and angry and will also be very poor that, I hope will lead to a people’s revolution in the West. France will lead the way I’m sure and other EU countries will follow.
Truth and Justice will prevail and that will be with Russia.

Military correspondent Kotenok about the attack on Belgorod: “There was an underestimation of the enemy”
On April 1, Ukraine attacked the oil depot in Belgorod with the help of helicopters, then an unidentified flying machine was shot down over the city. Military correspondent, editor-in-chief of Segodnya.ru Yuri Kotenok believes that Russia should take mobilization measures to ensure its own security.
“Full fighting is underway. They went to the territory of Ukraine, now they have spread to Russia. Why did this happen? You don’t have to be gullible. Sometimes numerous commentators, incl. in uniform, they say: “The sky is closed.” It is impossible to close the sky 100%, any air defense military specialist will tell you about it.
We see how the enemy works: he goes at extremely low altitudes. This tactic has been developed since the days of Afghanistan in the USSR Armed Forces – Ukrainians, like us, are the heirs of this school. The goal is to avoid getting into the radar field and, as a result, to avoid fire by air defense systems.
There is an underestimation of the enemy, so far. It is likely that all the necessary measures to cover the air in the Belgorod direction were not taken. It is necessary to increase the observation posts equipped with MANPADS, to strengthen the air defense of the tactical level. It is obvious.
It will not work to fight “half a turn” with such an adversary as Ukraine, pumped up for 8 years with equipment and weapons, trained by foreign specialists. We must either continue what we started to the end, or admit that we cannot carry out the assigned tasks “with one hand”.
The situation with strikes on Belgorod, with shells flying into the Bryansk and Rostov regions confirms this.
I am not a supporter of ringing bells and shouting about total mobilization, but certain mobilization actions of the Russian Federation must be taken. In the end, in order to carry out the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, having a grouping of even 200 thousand bayonets, which we have now, is not enough. It is necessary to increase the grouping, to be more closely engaged in cleaning up the territories through which our troops passed.
It is necessary to identify war criminals, punish, neutralize, and bring to justice.
Without this, everything will look like an imitation, and imitation in the conditions of military affairs leads to tragic consequences. It is necessary to change the system of work, if there are miscalculations. Errors need to be corrected.
