Horowitz is certifiably insane.
Horowitz may be crazy, and live on some other planet, but he is also senile (many people get that way at 78). Lavelle as a communist and Obama as a Marxist shows he doesn’t understand what those terms mean. Iran has a right to nuclear power, and it’s definitely not Nazi. He is ignorant — and as such fits right in with much of the US.
OMG I only watched the first 10 minutes.
There ought to be a law against abuse of seniors suffering from dementia!
David Horowitz calls Peter “a communist” for supporting Russia’s policy in Syria and questioning the stationing of NATO troops in Poland, and Peter and his other guest are so amused they can’t even take offense, can only giggle and laugh.
I feel guilty for enjoying some humor at the expense of the mentally impaired. Poor old AZ guy, someone should take him to a rest home.
But as soon as I rustle up some grub, I’ll probably watch the rest of this embarrassing spectacle of an old fish out of water flopping pitifully as the paradigm changes his habitat in ways he simply is unable to come to grips with. By draining it right out from under him.
Hmmm. Lavelle disagrees with my senility diagnosis and ends the show calling Horowitz a “petulant child” after his guest rips his own headset off and declares “I’m out of here!”

Whatever. I’ve never seen a Crosstalk guest walk of the set before. I guess all that’s left for Horowitz is going on Jerry Springer. Somehow I don’t think he’ll be invited back on Crosstalk.
It was probably a mistake to invite David Horowitz on the show.
Horowitz will not be brought away from his view of the Iranians as Hitlerite Nazis and advocating regime change, etc.
After the mistake of inviting Horowitz on the show in the first place, Peter probably shouldn’t have tried to argue with him or get him to participate in a discussion.
Just let him spout and then let Daniel Lazare respond to Horowitz.
Although Horowitz is obviously a very extreme case and is a thoroughly unappealing, the denouement also sort of shows how stupid things can get when Peter keeps interrupting his guests.
No one ends up looking good.
This is the first time I have seen a guest cut short the show by pulling off his mike and getting up and leaving!
Presumably Peter has an idea of what his guests think before he invites them on the show.
So, let them say what they think.

The man is clearly unwell, and incapable of dealing with the demands of argument.
I guess a Zionist in America cannot cope with any intellectual challenge to his groupthink.
Would have preferred Peter allowed the man’s patent absurdities play themselves out – he didn’t need to descend to his level.
He should have challenged him on his call for ‘regime change’ in Iran by demanding how that chimes with Trumps declaration to reign in exactly that kind of lawlessness and criminality masquerading as ‘foreign policy.’
I guess poor Horowitz thought he was addressing the Breitbart faithful.

All in all, despite Lazar’s intelligent contribution – particularly regarding Israel’s alliance with Saudi/Gulf council – a poor show.
Less zealots and demagogues, and more informed commentators – not this spurious ‘adversarial’ approach that denies there are perps, victims and defenders at the international as well as personal levels.
