I get irritated with cross talk’s shallow analyses leading to paralyses, illustrated by the light-hearted banter. The analysis is excellent but ineffectual, lacking intellectual depth. Maybe it’s the bow-tie.
Don’t the two Peters and Pepe know that Ike and the Dulles Bros don’t care about safety. Dr. Dull dispenses with sentimentality and idealism. King Klingon and Queen Klinton want to be martyrs for their God who they believe will reward them as saviors of his system. For them this is not Hollywood but a holy act of sacrifice of all. It is blind faith in themselves as heroes in their religion of power.
The love army goes to where the action is. The perpetual war started as a war against love herself shortly after our species appeared. It’s a war over love rites and rights. That’s where the battle is won or lost. All this cross-talking is misinformation in the information war, lacking a meta-narrative that can get the job done of stopping the war on Russiana.
In your “weapons of mass distraction” sin of omission, I’m “sorry to interrupt,” and “if I can chime in with my opinion” and “jump in any time,” we need to do some serious study of the causes of war.
Over at the cafe, the Love Army is giving ten major reasons for war, none of which registers on your program. Has the system already taken over our DNA? Or is it that no one out there cares? Is it all about ratings? If so, I rate somewhere south of zero. Fortunately, the love army doesn’t care about ratings, nor do I.
Always try and watch the latest CrossTalk, but am often frustrated by the misunderstanding many of the guests display regarding the functioning of American foreign policy and the roles played by its spokespeople. American foreign policy is consistent throughout the last several decades and was essentially summarized by the Peter Kuznick’s quote of George Kennan. Creative destruction is the overriding tactic used to implement Kennan’s strategy. Creative destruction a term coined by Joseph Schumpeter for economics is applied to state craft. American Foreign Policy is not based on incompetence – although it is masked and often presented that way to cover its essential nature. (Black propaganda) After all who but those schooled and steeped in the dark arts would support such a policy?
As for the policy spokespeople. Hillary Clinton and Barak Obama are neither authors nor architects nor believers they are simply spokespeople. (White Propagandists) They are Public Relations spokespeople. They neither have the capacity or are given the role to architect or create policy. (Hillary Clinton’s name may have been on an article in Foreign Affairs, but its a sure bet she did not author it.) And as professional propagandists people like Clinton and Obama are trained to never believe the actual content of the propaganda they present because it makes them less effective in presenting it. Drawing the conclusion that Obama and Clinton are fools because what they say is foolish is a misconception and a prejudgment. They are very competent at what they do, as demonstrated by the fact that they continue to fool those in the ‘Reality Based Community’ that still have not comprehended the meaning of the Karl Roves statement – ‘we create our own reality’.
Have watched Peter Lavelle now for sometime and am pleased to see a change coming into his views of American Foreign policy as distinct from proclaimed American Foreign policy. Knowing how the technologies of Black and White Propaganda actually are at work within the MSM would be a great value if it were communicated to the CrossTalk audience.
