Dear friends
Today I am driving all day, but since there is a very serious color revolution that seems to be taking place in Kazakhstan, I am therefore creating an open thread. Please feel free to share any decent information and commentaries below. According to Russian sources, the usual US-controlled disinformation resources (including Ukie ones!) are out in full force to support the insurrection. The levels of violence are very high, even ambulances are attacked, cops are beaten up, disarmed, undressed, and humiliated, weapons stores have been emptied. The Internet has been disconnected, as has power in many parts of Almaty and Nursultan. This is a repeat of what the US tried in Belarus and in Kyrgyzstan, and the next couple of days will be crucial. Many government buildings have been seized and burned, some have been re-taken by the authorities. Law and order have broken down and groups of thugs are controlling the streets in many locations. There are reports of organized armed groups engaging in firefights with police, security, and military forces. One source reports that Kazakh Airborne Forces are also engaged. There are also reports of Takfiri elements using these riots (officially triggered by an increase in the cost of gas).
Official sources report 8 dead and 317 wounded among the police forces. The authorities lost control over several cities (including Alma-Ata) and 3 airports (part of which were torched). Astana and Pavlodar remain under the control of authorities.
President Tokaev has mentioned that he might request the assistance of the Collective Security Treaty Organization. So far the offices of the CSTO say that they have received no such official request.
Martial law has been decreed for the entire country.
These events are a direct threat to both Russia and China. Turkey seems to be pushing its pan-Turkic agenda. The CIA supported Uighur Takfiris also seemed to be involved. This is all taken straight out of the CIA playbook: Twitter, Telegram channels (including NEXTA), Soros-funded organizations, etc. are all deeply involved (including Ukie PSYOPs units).
It is absolutely crucial for the Kazakh authorities to restore law and order ASAP. Will they have the needed resolve and resources? I don’t know. Opinions?
Kind regards
Andrei
UPDATE: it appears that President Tokaev has claimed that his country was under foreign intervention and has requested the aid of the CSTO. You can click here for machine-translated news from Sputnik Kazakstan.
Finally the Empire responds to the Russian ultimatum!
Just keep in mind what happened the last time around in both Belarus and Kyrgyzstan before waving that Murican flag just yet!
:-)
The Empire is the enemy of Traditional Patriotic Americans like me. Down with the Empire! Restore the Constitutional Republic, bring all the troops home from foreign lands, a true America First foreign policy! The Empire is the enemy of freedom, liberty and sovereignty. It is the Real Evil Empire.
Another American patriot agrees!
Well said @JEinCA. Hear hear!
Former USSR Republic and Uranium + oil rich Kazakhstan hit by color Revolution: Hmn?
Price of Gas doubling, caused by Neo-liberalism (privatization): Hmn?
Who has Oil, Gas and Uranium reserves not yet controlled by the West?
Oh yes: Kazakhstan and Africa.

The link has a short great video explaining what is going on in Africa.
I wonder if the Danish and French Government knew back in November 2021 that it would be essential to gain access to “new” oil and especially Uranium Reserves, because you know Kazakhstan January 6. 2022?
@Hum, really good point.
One has to take this as the empires answer for the Russian ultimatum.
Im in no doubt that it is going to pan out just like in Belarus, eg. some EU states are going to get new “democratic freedom loving” refugees (when in real they are truly terrorists) that will keep the propaganda alive over twitter or what not for some time, but that’s all.
Well at least Russia now has a free hand in doing what must be done, resisting the empire.
Good news – the President has asked for CSTO help – now let’s see how well these terrorist thugs do:
https://www.rt.com/russia/545250-kazakhstan-protests-csto-military-help/
“…….The Kazakh president has asked the Russia-led Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) for help amid violent unrest gripping the nation, claiming that “terrorists” were overrunning strategic facilities across the country.
“I believe reaching out to our CSTO partners is appropriate and timely,” President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was quoted as saying by the media late on Wednesday.
The president slammed violent protesters, who have overrun government buildings and other facilities in several cities across the country, including the largest metropolis of Almaty, apparently referring to them as the “terrorist gangs”. These highly-organized protesters had been trained abroad, Tokayev alleged………”
Sputnik also has a live thread:
https://sputniknews.com/20220105/live-updates-over-200-people-detained-in-fuel-price-protests-in-kazakhstan-1092031106.html
This shows the level of “protesters”:
“…Eight police officers and national guard soldiers died during protests in Kazakhstan and over 300 law enforcement officers were injured, the news agency Tengrinews.kz reported citing the Interior Ministry.
“Hundreds of people ensuring law, order and healthcare of population – law enforcement officers, doctors, ordinary residents – were injured by hands of the outrageous crowd, including 317 police officers and national guard servicemen being injured, eight being killed,” the ministry said.
The ministry added that acts of vandalism and marauding across the country were organized by provocateurs, and called on Kazakh nationals not to succumb to these provocations and warned of punishment for illegal actions….”
From Sputnik:

White House: US Monitoring Situation in Kazakhstan, Denies Played Role in Unrest”
So that’s clear. “Never believe anything until it has been officially denied”.
thats your answer to russia’s red lines – and as ever russia is asleep at the wheel – the empires running rings around them and there too inept or too corrupt to defend themselves – its really all a bit sad !
Only criminals get their retaliation in first. You cannot defeat criminals by adopting their methods.
Pat
You know what.
I really really hate how much I agree with you.
While the Russians can’t be everywhere all the time this looks like a clear intelligence failure both for the Kazakhstan government and the Russians. Now that Kazakhstan has requested aid from the CSTO Russia has the green light to provide military assistance. The downside is that the US and NATO will use Russian intervention as a reason to not negotiate.
The Russian government is not “asking to negotiate”. It has drawn red lines and it is up to the US/NATO to respond.
I completely agree. The US/NATO will say look at what the evil Russians are doing. Russia can simply state that you have given us no other choice. By the way fly your planes somewhere else. We have a bunch of US treasuries for sale too.
@Pat and White Whale
Wrong. IMO, this is a poor move by the Anglozionists.
They’ve used genuine discontent amongst the Kazakhs to stir a color revolution. However, with their violence the fifth columnists are showing their true colors to the ordinary people. This itself is a big disadvantage which would alienate them from the general public.
This is exactly what happened in Belarus. The fifth columnists may appear to be winning first but that will be short-lived, and this is exactly what Putin wants to happen.
The Kazakh leaders tried to go on a middle road by trying to appease the US with their anti-Russian policies. It has come down on them disastrously because the Anglozionists want countries to bend their knees to them. Either you’re with them or with us. This is their worldview.
Most probably, this entire situation will lead to closer ties between Kazakhstan and Russia with increased Russian influence.
Or, the Russians knew it was going to happen and let it go so there is an excuse for the Kazak president to request Russian military support.
If the Russian intel services could ID the US backed mercenaries moving chemicals into the Donbas for a false flag op, ID the chemicals, and where they were being stored, I find it hard to believe they would miss things like piles of bricks being prepositioned in Almaty or what I’m sure are a number of other indicators.
Never underestimate the existential threat that is the American Empire and its Anglo/European crime partners.
It was naïve to believe that America would in good faith engage in negotiations with Russia over its security concerns.
This regime change operation against Kazakhastan is obviously an attempt to put Russia on the defensive and weaken Russia’s strategic position before these “negotiations.”
You don’t become a world empire like the United States without being a ruthless, Machiavellian mafia state.
And for all the pearl-clutching about America’s supposed “decline,” the United States still has many geopolitical weapons that it will likely deploy.
Lots of soft power with a strong currency.
a message being delivered just before the usa russia geneva meeting
russia needs now to go big or go home…..in almaty and in geneva
what big means i leave to others only that now size matters!
According to RT the Kazakh president has asked the Russia-led Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) for help amid violent unrest gripping the nation, claiming that “terrorists” were overrunning strategic facilities across the country.
Correct.
Yet Peskov said today that “we are sure that our Kazakh friends can deal with the situation without foreign intervention”.
This might change, of course.
“China believes that the government of Kazakhstan will respond appropriately to the protests, which are an internal affair of Kazakhstan.” MFA of the People’s Republic of China
Kazakhstan asked the CSTO to intervene, not the SCO (of which it is also a member and which is far more powerful). This passage probably has a lot of significance, I imagine you will analyse in your next column.
“Sincere thanks to the presidents of the CSTO countries, special thanks to Putin and Xi Jinping” – Tokayev
Now it is clearer. :-)
Gun drop in Kazakhastan. Reminds of the brick drops in the USA during the BLM riots.
https://streamable.com/y7bml9
I saw it on twitter…Wierd… Guns dumped in the middle of the street and the protesters pick them up and immediately know exactly how to use them!
Videos showing hyper-aggressive civilians attacking police cars, armored vehicles. Gilets Jaunes this is not…
Some videos look staged… fully armed soldiers being “taken captive” by an unarmed group..”cops”, with no gear, fist-fighting protesters who then overpower them…
Just as in Syria, Libya,…
With military service in the country, there is bound to be men who know how to handle firearms.
I would be inclined to believe that would include many of the male Kazak population. These people are no strangers to firearms.
My belief is that the Russians new about this beforehand and they are planning to do what they did in Belarus.. The Khazakstan president was becoming like Lukashenko, the CSTO is already on the ground and some infrastructure has been secured. The riot act is going to be read on the president… This is a godsend to Russia..let’s look at this at another angle,Putin is playing chess
Fully agree with your comment.
Okay, it is out in the open and they missed. It should cool down, some changes will come and it was very stupid for people operating in Ukraine to get involved in this one. A rough short while but, again they missed.
My take.
John
Normally these colour revolutions start with protests that grow over several weeks or months, before a sudden escalation. This looks more like a foreign backed coup that was rushed into action using the Islamic/Turkish terrorists from Turkey (why would regular civilian protestors seize arms depots or airports). Russia AND China are both certain to support the Kazakhastan government (perhaps with Russian troops), I think the coup will fail and Russia and China will strike back hard against the US proxies
Unfortunately the CIA always plans for “plausible deniability”. If the Russians, Kazakhs (and maybe Chinese) massacre the terrorists and put down the coup, it’s no skin off the Americans’ nose. Just a few more dead Asians, for whom they care no more than for ants. But, as others have said, the Westerners will deny any involvement and seize the opportunity to paint Russia as an oppressive, violent, tyrannical occupying power.
I wonder how much that would matter. If Western civilians are led to believe some more libels about Russia, what difference will that make? Russian, Chinese and other Asian peoples will know what to believe. Ever since the Yankees killed or imprisoned the last Native Americans, they have been slavering for another continent to despoil. Either all Asians hang together, or they will hang separately. Anyone who is in doubt should visit, if they can, a few Native American reservations and graveyards.
This is the time to show Washington where it gets off.
Time to ignore the Mighty Wurlitzer.
Fully agree Tom — “This is the time to show Washington where it gets off.”
It might be a good idea for Putin to call of negotiation talks with Biden & go in Hard with China to fix the problem in Kazakhastan. Doesn’t matter what the USA or NATO say -stuff them -the time for talking is over!
What a silly comment….The Asians are Democratic Party Voters. The Yanks…as if that had that has any meaning.
Turks were much the frontline violence at maidan.
@Kadath
Quote: “Normally these colour revolutions start with protests that grow over several weeks or months,…”
Good point. And there were.
Here’s one the USG state department organised earlier…err, issued a warning to US citizens to avoid….
https://kz.usembassy.gov/demonstration-alert121521/
Demonstration Alert: U.S. Mission Kazakhstan Saturday, December 16, 2021
Location: Nur-Sultan, Almaty, Shymkent, possibly other cities
Event: The opposition party Democratic Choice of Kazakhstan (DVK or DCK), which the Kazakhstani government has banned as an extremist group, is calling for demonstrations on December 16, 2021, at 12:00 p.m. to demand the resignation of Kazakhstan’s government, including First President Nazarbayev and President Tokayev, as well as freedom for all political prisoners.
“Normally these colour revolutions start with protests that grow over several weeks or months, before a sudden escalation.”
Good observation. Almost like “someone” instigated riots before optimal time-frame.
Either that, or western elites are idiots who rushed half-baked regime change for daily-politics reasons.
Please note this is the old khazak presidential residence in Almaty (when it was the capital) – take care with some news sites. Mod.
AP states that the Kazak’s presidential residence has been set ablaze.
Protests escalate in Kazakhstan; president’s home set ablaze

Now, how would a purely domestic Kazak “pro-democracy” movement even be able to bypass Kazak security forces and gain access to the Kazak’s president home without significant military-intel logistical support–likely from certain nations that specialize in serial regime changes (cough, America)?
This would be like some protest groups in the USA (Stop the Steal, Tea Party, anti-lockdown, BLM, Antifa, Occupy Wall Street–take your pick) being able to burn down the White House by themselves.
Kazakhstan is vast, and directly abuts the “waist” of Asian Russia. Getting troops and equipment to the right places is a very demanding task. On the other hand, from what I have seen it is exactly the kind of mission that Russia’s parachute troops specialise in.
On the map, China looks well placed to intervene. But if the Takfiri Uighurs are coming from Xinjiang, the Chinese may have their hands full too.
The silver lining: if this attempted coup is crushed, it will perhaps “decourager les autres”. Time for the spirit of Captain Bonaparte and his “whiff of grapeshot”?
My opinion is the Russians and Chinese need to get rid of that clown in Ankara, permanently. He is too much of a danger. He has to go. Support a Kemalist Military coup in Turkey. Get rid of this would be Sultan Joker. Enough is enough. Erdogan helped set Syria on fire and then Nagorno Karabakh and now they are going for the gold in Kazakhstan. Time for this Neo Ottoman megalomaniac to go.
I couldn’t agree more, but in practical terms it’s probably not so easy. Charismatic religious leaders can cause an enormous amount of harm, and when they are also the head of state of a powerful nation…
There’s Syria to consider, too. Maybe Moscow could take some deliberately boring, undramatic steps – such as trade boycotts, tariffs, etc. Hard for religious fanatics to get wound up about those.
Indeedi never understood the Russians working with that Turkish lunatic Erdogan in Syria, since they imposed a ceasefire in Idlib its got worse, only way to deal with these bastards is to totally crush them.
The New Green Deal hoax. Without Nuclear energy, this nutty idea collapses. Kazakhstan is the world’s largest producer of uranium. This is what the west is after.
Dubious,
This from the article, “There is not now, nor has there even been a shortage of uranium.”
https://www.forbes.com/sites/llewellynking/2020/06/08/uranium-supply-isnt-the-crisis-in-the-nuclear-industry/
There is plenty of oil in the world but that has not stopped the DEEP STATE from manipulating markets, blocking deliveries and creating artificial shortages to make a ton of money for insiders while ruining the finances of working people and destroying the budgets of nations that have to purchase the oil in US Dollars
This is the NATO and CIA response to the Russian security ultimatum, burning the Russian courtyard. Very well organized NOT to be a “color revolution”. The government was probably trying to satisfy its investors. It’s time to close all the gas pipelines to Europe and watch the Western world implode in the blink of an eye. Why not?
do you think the empire sleeps? the empire is not sleepy. parts of asia and eastern europe are surprised by the empire. the empire dominates the internet, and the fragmentation of everything is just a matter of time. nationalism will be destroyed. Putin has apparently been an exception to the rule. the entire planet watches television. And television has the function of making Zionist propaganda. reality shows, soap operas, series, TV news, football, all things are advertising. Even the Russians are not prepared for this ruse, lies and manipulation of the empire. the same tribe that lives and runs the empire also lives within russia, and part of asia.
I have the impression that the leaders of eastern europe and asia sleep, and they don’t know that every action has a reaction. the government and even the security council have resigned, soldiers have been captured, the president is alone, and it’s only a matter of hours before he falls. The CIA is very wise and cunning. She works with psychics and all special tools. They left Afghanistan to do this. Has Russian intelligence been warning the rest of Asia’s leaders, or are they sleeping? Biden left Afghanistan for a reason, but many political leaders just want to drink its wine and its luxury.
this revolution in Kazakhstan is nothing new. Zionists live in the US and also live in Russia. The Russians failed to stop the colorful revolution in Ukraine. Russians are also influenced by the occult force. Did you know that there is a special Oblast in Russia? the Jewish Autonomous Oblast is the country’s only Autonomous Oblast, making it one of two officially Jewish territories in the world, the other being Israel.
Roman Abramovich also showed his identity. Zionists also live in Eastern Europe, and influence Central Asia. The only country that is acting at the height of the empire is china. The Chinese internet blocks the West, and the ancient hierarchy and social structure of gender men and women is unchanged in China. Russia is already “modernizing”, and there is no going back. As soon as putin dies, women will take to the streets of Moscow, and a kind of pink revolution will emerge. It is inevitable, there is no turning back. China will be fragmented after the Zionists put puppets in Russia, Far East and Asia. The Zionists’ agenda is millenary, and they think they are modern and current. All weapons are used.
Kazakhstan has been mired in protests since the New Year after the cost of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) doubled in a resource-rich country in a matter of days. When the masses already live just above the poverty line and the nation exports gas, they have a reason to be upset. I wonder if Putin is alone in Russia’s government and leadership. It seems they don’t have the same acumen and skills as the American Deep State. Blinken not long ago toured several countries. Here’s one more. The abstraction capability of the Zionists is impressive.
Gas prices are the excuse. Unrest, instability, bangs at Russia’s weak spot, of course, are the reason. Zionism never sleeps. With Biden’s robbery, he’s excited, now on steroids. Twitter is a forum for the mighty of the West. https://t.me/rbc_news/40188
The first step in containing the unrest is to get rid of all NGOs and deport any foreigners associated with them, as well as those associated with agreed Western news agencies. The second step is to join the Russian Federation. You have to do what Belarus Russia is doing. But they won’t. Simply the Slavs and part of Asia are sleeping in front of the determination of the empire.
Who really is Putin? Does he have philosophical depth, or is he just a “shallow Christian”? It seems the fate of the world is:
1- nuclear war
2- or civilizational chaos with rising immorality and breaking the millenary social structure.
The people of Kazakhstan probably regret not being part of Russia. I doubt that an increase in fuel prices is their main concern. The people have been exploited and abused for decades by corrupt “leaders”. Kazakhstan borders Russia to the north and China to the east. Zios & American Deep State would love to take control of this nation so they could launch CIA Duh type attacks on both nations. Someone is out there handing out cookies, and much of the world’s leadership seems to be eating cookies too! Is Russia sleeping at the wheel? Which world leader is trusted today? Maybe none!
Yeah….so…no to most of this.
Putin will clean this up and make it turn out like Belarus.
His successor will be Shoigu. The Russian leadership will be strong for a long time.
This s a great opportunity to purge the Kazak state of NGO’s.
China and Russia will work together on this.
Mr Schulz you have a very accurate understanding of current world issues. In deed, the Asian leaders and elites are asleep and will continue to do so.
Because that’s what the USA wants – why let them win on this? And how will such a gesture affect the opinions of the average European on Russia?
The opinions of the average European, like those of the average American, are entirely irrelevant.
Sadly I think a lot of what you say may be true or happen. Especially the changes that could take place after President Putin’s off stage. The jews have used American women very well to their advantage and I fear the same with Russia. I wonder why Russia allows jew social media in their country. I communicate with a lovely woman in St. Petersburg who hates Putin. Just talking could sense liberalism effect. I learned quick waste no time on liberal minded women or even ones tempted. Jews know just as eve in the beginning was the way to bring evil into the mix. Russia fails to act and only keeps talking then I fear our faith in Russia to stand for good, to oppose the wickedness of the jew controlled west, to finally knock them down a few pegs, all in vain. Just my little opinion.
on the whole your argument has coherence. You are open and thirsty for the truth. I have weekly contact with a 30 year old Russian young woman, she lives in Moscow and attends a temple, an American evangelical Christian church there in Moscow, and she is political nihilist, and not Putin sympathetic, she doesn’t like Putin and of the Russian leadership, and she sympathizes with Ukrainian causes, especially Ukrainian American Christians. Indeed, as I wrote, they will take to the streets of Moscow with pink flowers in their hands, and making a Navalny heart with their fingers, as soon as Putin dies. Putin is irreplaceable, not even the serious Serguei Choigu masters so many aspects and abilities that Putin has. It’s not just personality or character, it’s a whole set of skills and specific life experiences.
the blog was supposed to make a complex article about materialistic American evangelical Christian churches. They distort the teachings of Jesus, and fit the capitalist narrative, and materialistic worldview, and use modern scientific tools and marketing, and music as a very powerful tool. I have friends I know in Siberia, who are missionaries from those churches there. Government sense and statistics do not capture this reality. These churches also preach the irresponsible unity of all nations and genetics. The nations and genetics that have more sexual libido cause social upheaval wherever they go. Consequently, they break family values, create nihilism in families and society, and preach political alienation (our kingdom is not of this world, etc.). This is perfectly a weapon of the CIA and the Empire. The same happens in china, in homes, in a hidden way, and the senses of the Chinese government do not perceive this reality. The devil lives IN THE DETAILS. Strategy means doing what the enemy is not seeing. Anyone who has ears to hear, listen, before it’s too late!
The Jewish population of the Jewish Autonomous Oblast is about 1% with an ethnic Russian population of about 93%,
please friend, don’t be simple with superficiality. Take a good look at my text. A small amount (a little) of yeast leaven the whole dough! I know there are good Jews all over the world. But specifically the materialistic Zionists want to be kings (head and not tail).
Fuel price is still half the average world price per gallon. So its not mum and pop outrage . Chinese Crypto miners will be lamenting moving farms there after the ban on the mainland
I think it s over already (or nearly over, as soon as CSTO agrees to help). internet is running again. airports are under control. I dn’t be surprised if Russian special units were already on the grounds …
While the U.S. lags Russia and China and most other countries in exporting things of economic worth, we are #1 in exporting 1. weapons of death, and 2. Color revolutions.
It is amazing that our MSM portrays this as a good thing.
There will be a severe and rigid crackdown by CSTO.
This seems to be the fruit of the negotiations with psychopaths. A snake still dangerous even after its head is severed.
I have talked to people in Almaty and Nur-Sultan. They are very worried, Adress to Shanghai Group confirmed, rioteers very organized, weaponized, motor bike grups, rumors about arriving terrorists. Nothing they say contradict what yoy write, but they are less informed.
Knut Erik Aagaard, Oslo.
Russia should probably do a lend-lease act of hypersonic weapons to Kazakhastan, or maybe even subsonic ones will do, and just deal with the facilities in Kiev being used to foment insurrection. Even better might be get the evidence, if they can made it matter which they have not done it seems so far. There needs to consequences for actions. Maybe it is time to not grant permission of use Russian territory 5 or maybe even 20 km out for jets and ships or sell those rocket engines to the hegemon and some of its unofficial unincorporated territories.
Question regarding those islands above Russia’s northern coastline that are part of Russia, if Russia denies use of waters within 5 or 20 km or whatever, does this effectively close off the Northern Sea Passage?
Apart from the RF, every single post-Soviet country is essentially a failed State.
Do their populations regret having had “national liberation”?
Would you call Belarus a failed state? If so, by which criteria?
We can all agree Belarus isn’t really a “post-Soviet” country…
I think most of the people in those countries looked forward to democracy, free markets and a land flowing with milk and honey.
Having fallen into the ocean, they appealed for help to the West; and the West threw each of them a nice anvil.
I have been saying on this forum for while now that the central Asian republics are prime target for both ISIS inspired movements as well for CIA ones due the autocratic leadership, high level of corruption and high level of poverty among the locals.
To be honest I was not expecting Kazakhstan to be the next target as its population by an large is more secular ( than say Uzbekistan’s) more educated and certainly better off economically than any of its neighbors. Hence, I suspect CIA taking advantage of some genuine economic discontent among the local population.
I am likewise surprised that Tokayev was so naive (it was not him – it was some of his Governemnt. Mod. )as not to foresee the raise in LNG prices a possible civil peace disruptor motive and that Kazakhstan secret service was not able to foresee (Please stop making generalist comments with no evidence – how do you know they didn’t know? They have exposed these Western backed “protesters”. Mod.) the way CIA could then manipulate the civil discontent (even if the reasons behind it may be genuine).
Failure and incompetence on across the board in Kazakhstan just as it was in Ukraine in 2014. That is all I can say.
Belarus was more lucky to have Lukashenkno who stayed on top of things at all time and was ruthless with the turncoats. I think all this guys from CIS states (even Putin) can learn something from Lukashenko. Putin’s penchant for forever negotiations may come to bite him one day if he does not change the operating protocol. Forever up easing. I bet some of his generals are already tired of so much up-easing the western thugs.
Kazakhastan is a massive region in the middle of Russia’s southern border and Neocons are not gloating that they are turning Finland against Russia https://foreignpolicy.com/2022/01/05/finland-sweden-nato-russia-putin/ “Finland and Sweden Are Done Deferring to Moscow Elisabeth Braw, Foreign Policy”
Does anyone know if this is true?
These Necons are such great people, they get such delight when neighboring countries are at each others throats but look at how they spin it. Being a normal neighbor is ‘deferring’, how did Finland ‘defer’ to Russia, did they let Russia install nuclear missiles on their soil? Neocons are so vile. They delight in the suffering of other people.
Hi!
I’m finn and I can guarantee that we are constant bath of propaganda coming from our president, government and media about Russian danger. Not a single day without “only option is NATO membership” propaganda. The most sad thing is that Russian state as well as russians are considered evil and malicious amongst most of the people also. Ofcourse WWII and so called Suomen sota (1809) , our own civil war 1918 and many other wars within millenia has a lot of to do with this attitude. However, the constant propaganda demonizing Russia has been groving steadily after 2010 and no sign cooling down of this issue is seen in foreseable future.
Found this at MoA.

Yes. Extremely well organized, very fast action – an army in action.
This time, Russia may take this as the US response to their ultimatum, a direct atack against itself. If so, prepare for war. Time to fight has arrived.
This is opening of yet another front against Russia, much more dangerous and with higher stakes than Ukraine. Russia should not repeat mistakes from the past, this situation leaves no room for any miscalculations. Start mobilizing those 2.000.000 reservists a.s.a.p., Kazakhstan must not fall.
Also expect assaults on several other fronts, this is apparently an attempt to stretch Russian forces very thin so they can’t respond to all events unfolding. Pridnestrovie comes immediately to mind, LDPR, Karabach, Syria, some new crisis in Belarus perhaps, Georgia…
Russia has now got the answer from its “western partners”, let’s now see if Putin was just bluffing about his red lines. Kazakhstan (and especially Baikonur) are far too valuable and important, deep behind those proverbial red lines.
Russian ruling oligarchs still hope that the peace with the collective west is possible.
It is a false hope.
They shall never be left alone
There shall be a swift investigation of the attempt at regime-changing, followed by the publication of the names and organizations. Economic sanctions against Turkey and the US will be sweet.
As a result of the ZUSA’s intervention, Kazakhstan is going to have a few Russian military bases on its territory. The western idiots do not want to have global law-based security. Well, let them have anxiety.
Time to put each mega-Bankster and each CEO of mega-supranational corporations in the crosshair. The rotten zio-empire does not want to die peacefully but tries to destroy as much as possible during its final demise.
It should be noted that Kazakhstan had decided to switch from Cyrillic to the Roman alphabet. So it was flirting with the West. Just as Ukraine and Georgia and other countries have been.
Like an abusive relationship, it was first being seduced before this rape or serious attempted rape. Just like in other post Soviet states.
It’s hard to understand, if Kazak authorities knew there was subversion going on, why it didn’t stop it before this.
Moreover, there has not been equitable economic development. Removed. Incorrect information. Mod. So this is a total failure of Kazak leadership. It created social conditions ripe for rebellion and was passive in dealing with Western subversion.
Hopefully it will get things out of the hands of ‘external influences’ and then do serious improvement in people’s lives.
Wholeheartedly agree with your arguments. Failure of Kazakh leadership on all levels. Especially the head of the security services should have seen all this coming after Maidan, and Belarus 2020 summer. What they heck was he doing?! Daydreaming or vacationing in Dubai ? Russia FSB can not possibly be ever where. There got to be some accountability from the local security and intelligence offices. It is disgrace that the color revolution even got so far in Kazakhstan from all the places. If this had happened in Uzbekistan I would have not been that surprised.
Christmas Eve… any guesses as to who would choose to strike on Christmas Eve – and why?
If anyone thinks Russian “forces” weren’t already covertly placed in friendly locales in country, they don’t understand how Russian authorities plan.
This outbreak was not a surprise. The US is quite predictable.
They are working the same on Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan and Mongolia in various degrees of intensity.
Tajikistan is much more aligned with Russia, confronts continual stress from AQ, Taliban and ISIS-K.
And Russia has at least one military base there.
What we will see is real change in Central Asia as this “revolution” is rolled up and buried.
These statelets will move much closer to Russia via CSTO and EAEU.
In this game, the empire has first shown it’s hand. Now that Kazakhstan has requested the help of CSTO, Russia will quickly wrap this coloured revolution up in a box. A similar play was mounted in Iran, when the price of petroleum products were raised, then too, Belarus was subject to a color revolution, and Armenia lost Nagorno-Karabakh. What exactly was the fruit of these efforts? In the same manner, Russia will now have a stronger say in Kazakhstan’s affairs.
The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation were promptly formed and sent within the framework of assistance through the CSTO to Kazakhstan –
https://avia-pro.net/news/rossiyskie-desantniki-vyleteli-v-kazahstan-na-shturm-terroristov
These are the ethnic groups in Kazakhstan, according to wikipedia –
68.5% Kazakh
18.9% Russian
3.3% Uzbek
1.5% Uyghur
1.4% Ukrainian
1.1% Tatar
1.0% German
4.5% Others
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kazakhstan
And so, it is good that the Empire showed their hand in this Great Game, now Russia will be free to respond as per their liking.
How did that 1% Germans end up there?
Way back in History, Catherine the Great invited two tribes of Mennonite Germans who had settled in East Prussia, to move to the Ukraine and the Stans, to help farm the newly conquered territories. The Mennonites were a peaceful crowd and were never considered to be a threat, even during WW2.
So if you might have been thinking these are German Wehrmacht that stayed there after WW2, after release from prison, there were indeed a few…but the biggest numbers are descendants of the Mennonite groups. There are for example German groups in settlements along the Danube, in Romania and Bulgaria that speak German and have folk customs passed down through generations but the modern settlers have never been to Germany….One interesting place that i got to know well was Oelmuetz (today called Olomouc) in Bohemia/Moravia…many German speakers, proud of their heritage, but integrated, so…not a threat to the wider community.
First they were german colonistz from the 18th century, mainly settled in the Volga region (there were proposals of forming an autonomous german republic in the URSS in the late 30’s), and some other places of european Russia (also a lot of german from the baltics) at some point there vere about 5-7 million of russians of german ancestry, not counting russified germans.
Most of them vere deported to Siberia, and the central Asian Republics at the start of the german invasion in 1941… were they mainly stayed after WWII (at least those wh survived, from 1941 to 1943 things were very hard for them)
After the disolution of the URSS, about 5 million of them went back to Germany, the rest mainly back to the russian federation. There are still a relevant minority in Kazajstan, and in Siberia. Today german speakers are a relic.
There are a lot of germans now that speak russian at home. They might be Volksdeutsche, speak German and all, and be eligible to “return visas” but… they are russians to the core. I knew quite a few… nice people.
Thanks for the interesting additional history about deportations which corrects some of my own assertions.
As much as I would like to share your optimistic view on the “readiness” of CSTO countries, I do not think that is the case (Please read the other links – CSTO is going to help – sending troops already. All agreed earlier today. Mod). But the tentative coup will be defeated, order will be restored and I hope “we may see a real change in Central Asia as this revolution is rolled up and buried”.
Yes, how long before those states understand to move much closer to Russia?
@Larchmonter445
“This outbreak was not a surprise”
That’s my opinion, too. It’d be very naive of Russia if they weren’t monitoring this situation in a country as strategic as kazakhstan. I don’t think they were caught by surprise. The next few days will tell.
Of course this kind of manifestation is dangerous, and can blow up with little notice, but I still think there is a contingency plan by Russia and China.
How much damage there will be to the negotiations between Russia and NATO next week is still to be seen, though. I wonder how much of the US government is behind this. If it is the work of a small group in the deep state, and if Kazakhstan, Russia and others can control this movement swiftly, maybe the negotiations can still be fruitful. If it involves a larger group within the US government, I’ll be more pessimistic.

Russia-led bloc approves peacekeeping deployment in Kazakhstan
A peacekeeping force will be deployed for a ‘limited’ period of time to stabilize the situation in Kazakhstan, the CSTO Collective Security Council Chairman and Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, has announced.
Commentary of the CSTO Secretariat on the situation in Kazakhstan
01/06/2022
The Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization confirms receipt of the Appeal of the Kazakhstani side for assistance. The Appeal says that this situation is viewed as an invasion of bandit formations trained from abroad.
The Kazakh side held consultations with members of the CSTO Collective Security Council and sent an appeal to the heads of the CSTO member states to provide military assistance to the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The CSTO Collective Security Council made a decision to send the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces to the Republic of Kazakhstan for a limited time period in order to stabilize and normalize the situation in the country.

What is happening here was quite predictable. It is a crucial central asian country with extensive borders with Russia and China. I think ex-President Nazarbaev led many integration initiatives of Post-Soviet States, such as the EAEU and CSTO. However that sensible generation has largely gone, and after 30 years of relentless AZ, pan-Turkic and Salafi influence many Kazakhs appear to be Russophobic, and as brainwashed against own interests as Armenians and Ukranians recently. And no strong leader. Turning Kazakhstan would create a black hole in heart on Eurasia, sever parts of BRI, and help activate Greater Turan – from Balkans to China..
Other weaknesses is having the 9th largest country while having among lowest population density – if this becomes prolonged, the central authorities may need to focus on key population centers like Syria did in early years; a good chunk of its eastern territory used to be part of ancient Khazaria, so those linkages being used against them; they are a spiritually confused lot, their capital is among most occult and satanic public spaces on earth (see vigilantcitizen on Sinister Sites); they have huge mineral wealth – oil, gas, 40% global uranium..
and worst, it has over 20,000 registered NGOs (~1 NGO per 855 Kazakhs!), this is pure madness.
Russians must have seen this coming. And should not be hard to snuff the coup out. So what’s the larger AZ play? Just one more ball for the opposing side to juggle before the big war? Hopefully this will focus deluded Kazakh elites like in Belarus; you cannot sit on these two chairs at the same time. More ominous- are Russians keeping their powder dry because they are about to activate the “or else” of the ultimatum? The madmen are howling at the moon to be put down and out of their miserable existence.
It seems that this is US response to the Russian demands. If so, now Russia will do as they said: they will act to defend their interests in the region.
The next days will be bloody for the turks and theirs proxies in Syria and in Irak. And even for Usa and hidden Israelis minions. Escalation.

Andrei My Orthodox Brother,
This really angers me. Even before they pulled the coup in Ukraine in 2014 I always worried the Empire would set the Former Soviet Central Asia on fire. My wife is from one of those Republics (it’s not Kazakhstan but it is a neighbor). I always worried the Empire would try to invite a Syrian style Takfiri insurrection in my wife’s Homeland. I fell in love with the place and it’s people. I actually converted to Orthodoxy in a relatively small Russian Cathedral in Central Asia. Spending collectively over a year of my life there I fell in love with land, it’s history, it’s people and of course my wife’s family and friends.
What is happening in Almaty right now is what I have worried about for over 13 years now. Basically when the Empire pulled it’s shenanigans with Georgia over Abkhazia and South Ossetia I knew none of the former USSR was safe from thes Neocon psychos. These are sick , obsessed people, foaming at the mouth with hatred for Russia and Russians and anyone allied with Russia and Russians. God save Kazakhstan, God save Russia, God save Donbass and grant true Orthodox Christians victory over their enemies in Ukraine. Down with the Empire and their Banderist/Turk/Takfiri allies!
Hi JE, thanks for sharing that. My compliments on meeting a wonderful women and her family and experiencing the joy of that culture. I do feel very drawn to this part of the world myself.
Tajikistan’s leader Emomali Rahmon has done well to keep the monsters out of that country so far, and i hope the Tajiks remain safe from all these power plays going on. Ahmad Shah Masood’s son, Ahmad Massoud – the spiritual successor of the great Northern Alliance leader – is I believe currently finding refuge and operating against the Taliban from Tajikistan.
I am very familiar with Afghan culture and the wonderful Afghan people. Things are such a mess there right now. People are really struggling. The Talibs continue to hunt down and kill anyone they feel associated with Americans – which is a very large number of people. Many Afghans feel that Pakistan is driving the Taliban.
So in this case, it would seem that the consensus is the CIA and their NGOs are doing the same here in Kazakhstan. Russia, I am sure, will have this well in hand. President Putin is way too sharp.
I love Central Asia and it’s people (and I don’t care if they are Muslim or Christian or Jews or Communists) . My wife and I have good friends from Dushanbe. We have also made friends in the Afghan community. I have found Afghans to be very honorable people. I think you’re right about Pakistan backing the Taliban (haven’t they been doing so for decades now?). How did the Uzbek and Tajik militias in Afghanistan fold so fast? I couldn’t believe when Dostum left Mazarisharif for Uzbekistan. I thought at the very least the Northern Warlords would put up a strong fight to the Taliban, or were they disarmed by the National Government?
I know the Uzbek government will not be overwhelmed with refugees. They didn’t even allow many ethnic Uzbek refugees from Kyrgyzstan when fighting between Kyrgyz and Uzbek civilians broke out in Osh years back. Karimov kept a tight lid on that country and it’s newer President Mirzoyoyev ran the Uzbek version of the KGB if I’m not mistaken.
It looks like the Kazakh government forces (now together with Russia and other CSTO allies) will probably get control of the situation there rather quickly. I am absolutely sure the grand majority of the citizens of Kazakhstan (regardless of ethnicity or religion) don’t want this chaos, this bloody anarchy in the streets and are on the side of the policemen and soldiers to restore order to their nation. God willing that’s what will happen and quick and the threat will be eliminated.
Daneliya Tuleshova may have something to do with it.
Yet, I cannot fathom why this would happen in Kazakhstan and not here(in western Europe). How come Kazakhs are so much better at standing up to oppression??
There was an uprising planned for December 16, 2021, but it apparently didn’t happen then.
https://kz.usembassy.gov/demonstration-alert121521/#.YdX2xX_LkGg.twitter
There is no doubt in my mind that this is “a classical “color revolution created by the US!
1- order must be restored asap, 2-internet must be careful monitored, because it is the portal through which ideas and commands are given, 3-gangs who took or assaulted parts of the airport must be severely punished.
But what has this president done so far? doesn’t he see what is happening in the world? Is he good at government or too old? Is there in SCO a common security and military strategy?
And why in TASS I just read that Russia and US will discuss about Kazack in a separated sede when they meet on the 10th???
While I am heartened by the speed with which the CTSO council acted (and for the first time), I believe it is paramount that Kazakh political structures are told clearly that Russian help is conditional on ceasing all anti-Russian activity, returning exiled Russians back into the country, removing inimical Western NGOs and of course, restoring the Cyrillic alphabet. My thoughts are with the Russian contingent.
Not only that.
Demand Russian bases inside the country. All terrorists to be dealt with using force. All mosques that are used for islamic propaganda closed. Sack the entire interior ministry. Charge everyone who raise their voice against RF with treason.
Playing nice never worked for the West, why would it work for Russia?
Absolutely, but I am not expecting the impossible from an otherwise unassertive Russian government.
In addition, I see that there are many pro-western political parties and NGO’s inside some of the former Soviet republics.
Who allowed them to operate inside Russia’ sphere of influence?
West would never allow any political force that is friendly to Russia to even exist, let alone gain popularity.
My last one for tonight: Apparently, Russia is yet to discuss Tokayev’s request. Not sure what is going on.
Machine translation:
The State Duma urged to immediately consider Tokayev’s appeal to the CSTO

The State Duma urged to immediately consider Tokayev’s appeal to the CSTO | Russian spring
Russia should immediately consider the appeal of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev to the CSTO for help in overcoming the terrorist threat, Konstantin Zatulin, first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots, told RIA Novosti.
The President of Kazakhstan said earlier that he had turned to the CSTO for help . He added that he considers this appeal absolutely appropriate and timely, thinks that the people of Kazakhstan will support this decision.
“Such an appeal should be seriously and immediately considered, first of all, by Russia, because the CSTO’s reaction is 100% dependent on the opinion that Russia will come to,” Zatulin said.
In addition, Russia should not interfere in the situation in Kazakhstan at random, it is necessary to understand what will be the best way to stabilize, the parliamentarian believes.
“We need to understand what it (the population – ed.) Is leaning towards in this situation and what should be the best way to calm passions. Russia will not interfere at random. But we must try to make sure that the violence was stopped. This, in accordance with the new version of the CSTO charter, is quite possible, ”Zatulin said.

Please check other links here – the CSTO has already given the ok to send peace keepers. Mod.
Russia is gonna step up and the “revolution” will disappear just like in Belorussia.
And unlike others who are suggesting Russia should come out gun blazing and save Kazakhstan, this is not how it is done when you are up against a mafia that takes orders from the other side. What you do is asses the situation first, how bad is it and how to deal with it without the backlash.
Kazakhstan is way too important for both Russia and China and don’t forget Iran. All these nations won’t sit around and play possum. Empire is dying and such efforts are like her last breath with all kicking and spewing biles.
Turkey seems to be pushing its pan-Turkic agenda.
That is why I cannot understand why President Putin would allow the sale of advanced Russian weapons to Turkey. Short term gain (S400 sale) for long term pain (NATO reverse-engineering S400.)
Export version only.
Kremlin officially confirm CSTO decision to provide help
and send a peacekeeping forces from Russia and Belorussia on request of Kazakhstan.
Role of Muktar Ablyazov – runaway criminal oligarch and MI-6 asset can’t be underestimated.
6 of January will be pacifying day for Almaty (old capital of Kazakhstan.
From Cassad’s telegram channel and machine translated:
2022 decided to start without a run-up, but right away like this.
In the evening, Tokayev appealed for help to the CSTO, using the option actually available, prescribed in the agreements of the bloc participants. He referred to terrorist threat, mass seizure of infrastructure objects, and fighting between Kazakh paratroopers and militants, which was going on near Alma-Ata.
A little later, on social networks, amid the silence of official resources, there were reports that the CSTO activates the necessary mechanisms and helps to restore order.
Pashinyan’s Facebook page (the CSTO informs about its plans on a website controlled by the secret services of a hostile military-political bloc. The triumph of postmodernism) announced that the decision to deploy troops was made with the consent of the CSTO Council members. I draw your attention to the fact that the troops were motivated by the interference from the outside. Greetings to the lovers of the thesis that “it is all by itself”.
If the introduction of troops takes place, I do not think that the CSTO troops will be engaged in the fight against unrest. The main task is to take under control the key roads, infrastructure facilities, enterprises, the same Baikonur, etc. Freeing up the forces of Kazakh law enforcers to work on the centers of the riots and especially to eliminate the trash that is now happening in Alma-Ata.
Checkpoints are set up on the roads and cars are searched for weapons and looted goods. If necessary, support is given to the Kazakh military in case of clashes with armed gangs. Enhanced information exchange through special services, provision of additional information resource (including human resources).
In general, a supporting and stabilizing role. The Kazakhs themselves, if they are capable to do it, must clean up the cities from looters and pogroms, who are now quite well armed with the weapons seized from the abandoned armories.
In fact, if nothing changes, this will be the first full-fledged CSTO operation.
Online streaming of what is happening in Kazakhstan continues on Telegram – https://t.me/boris_rozhin (subscribe if you are interested)
If the color revolution succeeds, Russia cannot wait for the outcome of “talks” with the U.S. They need to act and stop delaying while their country is gradually encircled and the noose is drawn tighter. If Russia/China can contain this and prevent a western-backed government from occupying Kazakhstan, Russia will wait patiently for an official response from U.S./NATO. regarding security demands. In my opinion, Turkey is playing a very dangerous game and sowing the seeds of its future destruction.
Erdoganistan is probably involved as his terrorist takfirists are under heavy bombing from Russia and Syria in Idleb for 5 days.
The all MI6 desinfo machine is on(white helmets, OSDH in Coventry etc..)). French press talking about massacre of ‘poor innnocents children’ and of course as usual ‘hospitals’ destroyed. Incredible how many hospitals they had in Syria.
Expect a ‘fake’ false flag (chemical of course).

Does this mean Russia and Kazakhstan knew or is this coincidence?
Kazakistan blocks transit of coal to Ukraine. Another coal supplier, Baltimore in the US, suffered a huge csx coal plant explosion that rocked the city.
If this is not a coincidence then they knew and even more importantly Russia hit inside the US. If so it will be covered up.
Kazakhstan has blocked the transit of coal to Ukraine
Head of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine Galushchenko: Kazakhstan has blocked the transit of coal

Department of Energy Participates in Press Conference to Mark First Shipment of Coal to Ukraine

Note: Spontaneous combustion is a common occurrence with coal.
However cxs has a proven track record of providing customers with safe and efficient supply chains for moving domestic and export coal.
Ukraine requires anthracite coal, as that is what was previously mined in Donbas.
It is now without the 20million tonnes it once mined.
It will not buy from Russia, so it sourced the coal from Kazakhstan.
But transporting it was a problem, as the Russians said their rail network was overloaded, and blocked some of the transit.
The coal was sent by ship.
But from what I understand, Ukraine then did not pay in full.
Also, the coal that was sent by rail, was also stolen.
And Kazakhstan complained the returning carriages were stripped of everything, almost to the bogies.
The CSTO forces will NOT participate in the establishment of military order in Kazakhstan – The CSTO Armed Forces are involved in the protection of military and other infrastructure facilities … Local security forces will participate in local terrorist groups.
Russia (and Belarus) is en route or some transports may have already landed.

Russian Special Forces on the way.
“a peacekeeping contingent to Kazakhstan, reported that a special forces company of the 76th Airborne Division, as well as a company of the 45th Airborne special forces brigade, received the command from Russia.”
“Groups from the second and 24th special forces brigades of the Central Military District are also “on high alert”, they “can be reinforced by the battalion of the 55th mountain brigade also from the Central Military District, but the last order has not yet arrived,” reports REN TV.”
“An air group for Kazakhstan is being formed at Kubinka and Chkalovsky airfields. It will include several passenger aircraft, as well as cargo IL-76 and AN-124 aircraft, ” the report says.

This should be a very sobering moment for Russia. This is war. The only good reason for Russia to have meetings with USA and NATO is that it will provide political cover for Russia’s military action. Actually this attempted color revolution is good news: It means that the chances of Russia bitch slapping USA and NATO are now 100%.
Don’t think for one minute Presidents Putin and Xi are not prepared for and expecting these situations.

Russian military began preparations for departure to Kazakhstan
https://lenta.ru/news/2022/01/06/rus_troops/?utm_medium=social&utm_source=vkontakte
The Russians have a huge advantage this time around: they can point out how thoroughly color revolution in the Ukraine has ruined that country. Russia can ask, “Do you Kazakhs want to learn from history, or repeat it?”
Why do you think the Kazakh people would listen to such advice?
Mesmerized by the West consumerism turned greed, they follow the proverbial carrot believing their lot would be much better with the West than with Russia, which they blamed for their predicament. Kazakhstan just dropped Cyrllic and embraced the Roman alphabet, the anti-Russian agit-prop is always in the background, working full time behind the insurrection, you can see that in their demands. Russia has no advantage at all as it goes to quell another fire in its most vulnerable region, its underbelly. The opposite is true, hence the need to finish this up quickly.
Lone Wolf
Why do you think the Kazakh people would listen to such advice?
Because 20% of Kazakhstan’s population is ethnically Russian. They are probably acutely aware of the Ukraine’s disastrous experience after the Maidan color revolution, and will argue loudly for learning from history and against repeating it. If the ethnic Kazakhs refuse to listen, there are enough ethnic Russians in that country to make a formidable opposition — especially when supported by the CSTO.
Take a look at Art 6 NATO Charter when media squeals about assistance to Kazakhstan in dealing with civil disorder
Interesting information about Bitcoin mining. 2021 China accounted for 50% of all bitcoin mining (50% of all energy used in bitcoin mining)
USA came up #2, and Kazakhstan #3.
End of 2021 China cracked down on bitcoin mining, and everyone else involved in bitcoin mining took up the slack and the resulting increase in electric usage.
Kazakhstan subsidizes its energy, meaning it’s cheaper than should be. However the Kazakhstan gov recently said they can’t subsidize energy anymore due to the increase in usage.
[link to news.bitcoin.com (secure)]
Bitcoin miners are fleeing Kazakhstan to the USA. The USA is now the largest miner of bitcoin by a large margin.
Ordinary Kazakhstan citizens are now revolting as they have relied on energy subsidies, especially during the winter.
Will the US or Russia be next?
Who exactly were/are the terrorists/coup plotters? Are these the same mercenary Islamic radicals, recruited, armed, trained and funded by the CIA, that Russia was presumably fighting in Syria to prevent them from specifically stirring up trouble in the Central Asian “stans?” Perhaps Moscow should have tried a bit harder to send more of them to paradise when they decided to dig in at Idlib, given sanctuary by Turkey and pointedly protected as an “asset” by the CIA. Maybe the rest should now be exterminated for good in Syria instead of being treated deferentially so as not to offend Russia’s American “partners.”
Or are these rabble entirely new warriors for American empire, specifically identified, trained and armed by American special ops agents functioning freely in Kazakhstan, just like the vermin that sponsored the coup d’etat in Ukraine to oust the freely-elected president there and to replace him with Neonazis acceptable to the American Neocon instigators? The turmoil was chronic and episodic in Ukraine dating back at least a decade before the coup was finally accomplished with blatant American meddling. Has there routinely been such identifiable routine American meddling in Kazakhstan? Or has the CIA been able to actually put this thing together ad hoc in such a short time that neither the Kazakhs nor the Russians were ready for the surprise?
It will be highly amusing to listen to Washington’s forthcoming argument that the discontented Kazakhs (if there were any such acting under their own volition) should have every right to secede from the current polity, overthrow and then replace the extant government with American-picked sock-puppets. You know, exactly what the Crimeans or Donbas rebels had absolutely no right to do, according to American logic. The local traitors will be given a NATO membership and the US Space Force will take over the Cosmodrome, all in good fellowship I am sure. When Russia wishes to merely maintain the status quo in its historic sphere of influence, we Yanks will castigate them for barbaric thinking and actions. When the US wished to create a new sphere of influence in Russia’s backyard, it’s just bombs away in Belgrade, Damascus, Tripoli, South Ossetia, Donetsk and elsewhere. No one even floats the possibility of a modern American Blitzkrieg for discussion beforehand. The massacres suddenly and simply become fait accompli. Karl Rove explained the concept of how America makes history by acting with impunity twenty years ago. It is still operative.
1. There is a social and economic imbalance between the center and the periphery in Kazakhstan, which was ripe for a “color revolution,” the usual suspects only have to exploit the discontent and been preparing for this uprising for long time.
2. There was a power ambivalence between former president Nursultan Nazarbayev heading the Security Council, an 81 y/o man who was obviously sleeping on the job. Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev replaced him as head of the Security Council yesterday, better late than never. Obviously they were unprepared for an uprising of this magnitude, and intelligence failure, since the “Western partners” worked under their nose. It speaks volumes about the government/elite class divorce from reality, and their subestimation of their enemies, internal and external.
3. Obviously President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev had no control on the army and security forces, which seem to have given up their duty as early as the first day of the uprising, giving away weapons and joining forces with the anti-government forces. Army and police were overrun by the protesters at an early stage, forcing Tokayev to rely on external forces (CSTO) to survive the coup. Tokayev’s lack of control on the army/security forces, is another factor that shows their lack of awareness about the sociopolitical conditions facing Kazakhstan, and the isolation of the ruling elites.
4. Neither Russia nor China can allow Kazakhstan to go west, they will defeat the insurrection by any means necessary. Issue is, the longer it takes for them to quell the uprising, the more time the usual suspects have to insert weapons, mercenaries, and organize an armed resistance that could easily turn into a civil war. That is what the “Western partners” are looking for, have Russia busy fighting a fire on its underbelly, which will undercut her position on the negotiating table, come January 10.
5. I agree with Saker, this uprising needs to be put down ASAP, meaning yesterday.
Let’s hope for the best…

Word, Lone Wolf!
The living conditions for ordinary Kazakhs are miserable. Meanwhile the elites are bathing in houses abroad and embezzled money. Nazarbaev has decided to cling on forever. There is a sever disconnect between the elites and the people. People are fed up there and would be happy with change of guards.
That doesn’t mean that the best new guard is run by a fraudster based in Ukraine though.
Another factor to this threat of color revolution in Kazakhstan is the Empire trying to halt or slow down the Belt and Road initiative.
If Russia wraps up this situation by 10 Jan it will only improve Russia’s position.
Is this an act of desperation by the CIA and the war party? It does look like it.
Any signs of China stepping into the fray?
The CSTO has no option but to take control back now !! even with overwhelming aggression!! Russia’s underbelly, the Silk road, is on the red line, its time for the CSTO to give the US a color revolution but the finances are probably not there, neither is the evil character there to do it.
The Caspian is a sucess story of Russian and Iranian foreign policy in that they have managed to keep the US out with an agreement of all coastal states not to involve non coastal states.
No doubt since the arrival of a democratic interventionist clique in the Washington they have just been waiting for their moment, which was the petrol price increase.
Time to kick out NED and the rest.

13 hours and 5 mins — that’s what it took from the moment the president of Kazakhstan announced he will ask for CSTO help — to Russians touching down in Kazakhstan.

Looks like Russia et al were expecting this and moved like lightning. Air force indeed is pretty significant.
The trolls (maybe not all) who carry on about Russia being weak and unprepared need to eat their words. Clearly there was a plan in place.
The concerning thing is of course that this is the US response to Putin. So no backdown, or perhaps using some sort of technicality they maybe will argue that Kazakhstan is not Ukraine so no eastward expansion of NATO – tenuous I know but it is the USA we are referring to.
13 hours from Warning Order to touchdown, including flight time, in an operation of this size is impressive. I agree with Larchmonter on this one, Russia was probably prepositioned for this and will now round up the instigators. It will be interesting to hear the stories they tell.
What I am more interested in will the Russian response as I read this as a direct repudiation of the Russian proposals.
More than likely this will have been a CIA spoiler plan.
The Pentagon may not even have had a say in it.
The question is, who is going under Sergey Shoygu’s surgical knife when the real anti-cancer operation starts?
I don’t think I’d want to be an operative on one of those Nato ley-lines when the Chinese New Year starts in about three weeks …
This US statement is the smoking gun about the action currently ongoing, but it’s all political stuff, as to prepare a future political debate…
I don’t know the situation of this “Democratic Choice of Kazakhstan (DVK or DCK)”, but the requests listed in US statement
1) set the ground for further communications now coming out from POLISH private TV (see comments on A. Martianov’s blog, one of tha last 2 posts)
2) are a clear suggestion (or instigation) for the sleeping structure to prepare for action launch
3) are a mean to highlight that the US were following the criticality of Kazak situation, and that they had “neutral” knowledge of a possible population uprising (something like “we told it earlier, but nobody listened”).
It’s worth to note that the communication dates on 16th Dec, and that at such date the US Moscow embassy (and therefore US establishment) already had in their hands an official private copy of russian “ultimatums” privately delivered to US 3 days before official publication by Russian Presidency.
This isn’t a smoke screen, rather a willingful attempt to escalate the level of confrontation, even before anybody from US had tried to figure out which political and diplomatic answer could be offered to Russia.
Many commentators, here and on other blogs, highlight that russian state and intelligence network possibly had information/feeling about some other “cooking” being undergoing after the Kyrgizystan last trouble, and of course being carefully listening about any possible signal. This US communication was THE SIGNAL, it could have been contributory to the reinforcement of the russian decision about going public with the ultimatum.
We can’t exclude that after the Kyrgizystan affair and the afghan retreat (why it happended in a so painful rush, detrimental to US worldwide image?), a new western re-positioning was expected, and the russians were on alert about the next coming shot, and that the ukrainian army buildup was also a partial smoke screen to divert attention fron central Asia.
The western fight isn’t war-centered (everybody with a reasoning brain understands what could be the economic outcome for EU in the best case, aka light conflict), it is mainly economically-centered, and it’s aimed at suppressing, or delaying as much as possible, the BRI initiative and any other collateral to it.
A working BRI initiative would secure the favour of the local central-asian populations to the local ruling classes who favoured and developed the participation to BRI, as it would add plenty of commerce-driven possibilities for these neglected people, thus consolidating the russian-chinese status-quo. The window of opportunity for the West is tightening, therefore they’re in hurry to force advance of their own agenda. We should expect a rush also in other “stans” in order to succeed in at least one country to be fast turned into a new base for terrorism.
How come the Americans still manage to catch the Kazakh and maybe the Russians off guard?
Why did Kazakhstan’s president wait for so long before invoking SCO support?
Was the president of Kazakhstan forewarned by the Russians about the imminent danger of a staged color revolution and decided to go it alone regardless?
Turkey is becoming a nuisance and Erdoğan’s again playing second fiddle to America’s trumpet. It’s clear that no agreement, be it on trade or other, can tie Erdoğan’s hands.
This looks like a repeat of the Syrian script. Only the threat level to Russia is way higher, because Kazakhstan is an immense oil rich country bordering with Russia. The only difference is that SCO has been called in and that Russia has become skilled at defusing color revolutions.
3 weeks ago, the US embassy sent out a “demonstration alert” BEFOREHAND, informing people on where and when to protest in Kazakhstan
It even gave the specific locations in various cities and the hour
The US mission posted another demonstration alert today, after they started
https://twitter.com/BenjaminNorton/status/1478912437483147266
This situation is very worrying and disappointing. If Russia knew in advance, why let explode the coup with this violence? In Belarus they succeeded in preventing such mess, here no, why? Now Russia is forced to send troops, never mind the CSTO agreement the West will sell the Russia invading the neighboring countries, the things that politically we wanted to avoid for Ukraine.
Diplomatic offensive. Now the CSTO will have more credibility for his task of peacekeeping. CSTO will fill the vacuum left when the empire withdraw. The failed color révolution is in fact a withdrawal of the empire.
CSTO bypass the control of UNO by thé west just in case it will failed to reestablished international law. Wich is the aim of thé russian ultimatum.

Putin told the US to stay out of its neighbourhood, and now Putin has received the US’s answer.
What Biden says doesn’t matter; the US deep state has spoken.
I distinctly remember a question to VVP during the marathon press conference at the end of 2021 from someone (a guy from the media?) from Kazakhstan. I memory serves, the guy was complaining about energy prices and seemed to be saying that the reasons for those were due to policies of some energy companies.
The reason I remember this is that, at the time, I was a little surprised by VVP asking the guy for names of these companies he was complaining about. I thought to myself: hey VVP is very hands-on here, and Kazakhstan is a different country.
This little crumb suggests that little of what is happening now would be a surprise to RF authorities.
I need to apologize. yesterday I wrote that Russia was asleep again.
Obviously it was not.
Respect.
There is a growing sensation across a wide spectrum that VVP might as well be expecting this to get rid of Nazarbayev’s crisscross behaviour (dont forget Tony Blair is one of his very well paid consultants) and secure Russia’s interests with boots on the ground, thus guarding his rear just before the summit. Some have gone as far as to claim this would be a Russian false-flag operation, which I doubt much, but nonetheless if this hand is played well it might further Russia’s interests and make a very strong case against the West’s collective behaviour, specially if some counterintelligence can be gathered among the rioters and presented as proof of its meddling in Kazakhstan’s internal affairs
Most pro-Russia pundits are blind to the developments in CA. Wrote years about the threats to Russia coming from CA. As always, attention is only payed if, quite literally, the house is on fire. The bs Luka-traktorik, UKR-pidr elite and quite frankly every (!) former Soviet Republic pulled was blatantly obvious for those with eyes to see.
Case in point Kazakhstan:
– tried to effectively ban Cyrillic by introducing the Latin Alphabet twice (latest attempt on-going)
– discriminates against ethnic Russians
– being multi-vectored aka playing all sides like the well known white-Russian tractorist: hosting hundreds if not thousands NGOs, esp. German ones are very active (no visa with Germany)
– connecting with the renaissance pan-Turkic / “Osman” geo-strategic space (official meeting happened just recently). The country is also hosting Turkish schools, “madrassas” and actively participates in academic/military exchanges.
So, I stand right the whole time. Either Russia takes control of its former Empire or it will be cut to pieces. No vacuum is possible. All this flower talk about peaceful cooperation is a fig-leaf for ignorance, inaction and frankly extremely stupid policy. At least the Chinese are not stupid enough to play the same games and are actively buying up everything they can get and taking control of elites by economic means. Russia should thank China for partially filling in the vacuum and not making it outright bases of aggression by the West. Staggers the mind how idiotic Russian elites really are or maybe just plain criminal.
Reap what you have sown.
All this talk about color revolutions is fine. The west is always involved. Ok fine.
But may I ask a simple question?
Why are the common masses of such a resource rich country dirt poor.
What has the insanely rich elite done with such enormous wealth.
Let us accept some responsibility also.
Average kazakh family works long hours and just manages to eke out a living in such a resource rich country.
The peoples grievances are genuine. I know this first hand and not hearsay.
What you say is fair enough – this is a strategic problem for Russia as it is for the West. Wealthy elites control all the money and the majority of people are disgruntled at it. This is a common source of potential uprising which either side can exploit if they wish. Nominally, this is why communism is the superior system. A system which genuinely equalises wealth does not suffer from the structural weakness of capitalism (which both Russia and the USA currently suffer under).
@Ahmad
You have a very good point. There is always a strong reason for an uprising to happen, either ideological, religious or economic. The West knows how to exploit divisions within a country, but the divisions have to be there.
Thesaker calling for Lukashenko to step down hasn’t aged well. He is the only competent person in zone B as he calls it. This is a disaster. This is a black pill because we just listen to Putin fanboys claim this isn’t possible. I really hope grand checker player Putin wakes up and steps aside for someone more capable.
My dear and esteemed expurt Ted,
Who do you recommend to replace VVP? Nothing is stopping you from emigrating to Russia, obtaining citizenship and tossing your hat in the ring for the next Presidential Election. Or do you have someone else in mind?
