Russian, US and EU sources are all reporting that a military coup is in progress in Turkey.
It is way too early to comment on these events, but I have to say that while I was hoping for exactly such an events for the past 7 months, the timing here looks very suspicious to me and I wonder which side is behind it.
This is huge and I am creating an open thread here.

The Saker
Although there are a lot of possibilities, these two just mp out at me as likely:
Either Erdogan was preparing to do something very very stupid and the military decided to retire him as he was on his vacation in Bodrum
Or someone in the military with grey wolves tendencies decided that he wasn’t taking his ottoman responsibility seriously enough.
If the latter, we have a problem. I’ll let the more learned on these pages refine the subject
I think it’s too early to tell, but this could be an out-of-the-frying-pan-into-the-fire moment. The timing is fishy. Erdogan makes meager attempt at mending fences with Russia, shortly after a coup takes place. Turkish media blames US-based Gulen (read Washington). If this is a US-backed action, things could get much worse.
Washington expressed support to E. from the very beginning.
And this explains a lot:
05:25 GMT
Turkey’s coup attempt has exposed a deep division between the people and the nation’s army, Russia’s Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said, while calling for constitutional order to be restored.
“What happened in Turkey still needs to be analyzed as the situation continues to unfold… It is essential to restore constitutional order on Turkish territory, so that all the rights and freedoms guaranteed by their legislation are complied with.”
So the coup was arranged by a false support of CIA, just to give E. a warning.
What was Kerry discussing with Lavrov on this topic?
And the Kurds also remained silent,
had echo from CIA.
“Washington expressed support to E. from the very beginning.”
No, the first comment from Kerry was non-committal (“peace and stability, etc.”). Even if he must have known that Erdogan was not secured by the usurpers.
Ja and E jetted in like a honey — jeez, when the airport was in the hands of the attempted coup outfit — how does that work? Surely his jet would have been shot out the sky. No, this whole story smells to high heaven.
@ Anonymous
Indeed, the stench is of the fishy variety. The Turkish army is very experienced in staging coups while the “attempt’ has the hallmarks of amateurism printed all over.
My bet is on a false flag to purge the cadres.

Michael Maloof ex cia discussing on rt news now, says it is big thing ,state tv off air, airports cancel flights, tanks deployed near airport army blocks bosphorous strainght has Erdogan glown out, greek army put on full alert…..UN confirms coup attempt, on line social media blocked.
ALL planned!
See where France closed its Turkey embassy BEFORE the July 14 event in France..
Site comment interesting dated 13th! on Fadel’s site has this, claims WH is in lockdown, & Lord O has just expanded his authorization to use more “UN police actions” (as Korea was sold that term originally to the sheep 60+ years ago) to insert US military.

Well remembered that man – I saw that announced but was then distracted by Nice.
Clearly the Froggies knew something was up.
I wonder if this was decided at the NATO summit – they took a long time to come out in support of the ‘democratic’ government.
Hmmm, now Erdogan really knows how ukraine partnership can have all kinds of knock on effects(would be nice if medglis totally disarmed and discredited and ukraine support broken up), is this Kerry plan B or Kerry in charge while taking off to consult from his negotiations with Putin Lavrove(cynical yes)…..peace with PKK, acknowledgement of all Turkeys goings on in Syria…..could isis take advantage of the chaos unless borders are sealed-VP of course wanted borders sealed……something else going on now rus turkish relations are recently improving, or maybe this is a movement against raprochement….??????….jets flying, some gunfire, protests……chief of army detained……
yes, exactly…. the timing is really suspicious… somebody called me to tell me the news and this is was exactly what I thought..
Erdogan has just spoken to the Turkish people through skype!
almost certainly related, just by timing, as it also started 2 days ago:

With the backing of tanks, Israeli military bulldozers have entered the demilitarized zone that divides Israel and the Syrian Golan areas, constructing a set of anti-tank trenches and fortifications 300-500 meters inside the DMZ.
This is the first time that the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have operated openly on the Syrian side of the border since the beginning of the Syrian civil war some five years ago. No opposition or protest from Syrian President Bashar Assad in Damascus has been offered.
http://sputniknews.com/middleeast/20160714/1042928221/israeli-bulldozers-enter-the-dmz.html
My theory is that this is a maneuver that the Western intelligence agencies had been planning for months since Erdogan became more and more unstable. I remember reading a news story from March about a possible coup in Turkey. However, recently Erdogan apologized to Russia and opened ties with Russia and Syria again. This was probably what triggered Western support for a military coup that will maintain Western military power in Turkey. I think Erdogan had a surprising change of heart and decided to “switch sides”. He should have been more careful.
But, this is just a theory. Anything is possible these days.
Smells NATO based on these bits, again from some good comments under latest article on Syrianperspective:
Coup leader rumoured to be General Hulusi Akar.
According to the Land Forces website, Akar graduated from military academy as an infantry officer in 1972. He served as a commander in Bosnia in 1997 and 1998, for which he was awarded the U.S. Order of Merit, before returned to Turkey to command the Internal Security Brigade.
The story of the US giving a medal to a Turkish general on Syria
Tolga Tanış, Hürriyet’s correspondent in Washington D.C., reported that the justification for the medal, according to his sources was Akar’s military leadership in the Syrian theater and enabling close cooperation between Turkish and American Special Forces, which was not public knowledge in Turkey. Akar therefore becomes the second ranking general to receive the U.S. Department of Defense’s Legion of Merit,
but then this comment, but no link—story just last night was that Iraq forces are within 60 km of it:
“The Turkish Army orders its units to pull out of Iraq (Ba’shiqa), the invasion few months ago was against Baghdad’s will, this camp is close to Mosul.”
Mosul is where Erdo-gone was surely getting lots of oil for ISIS, obviating those attacks on supply columns by russian jets willy-nilly over Syria.
Yea, Erdogan is making the same mistake as Kennedy, Khrushchev, and Nixon. All started out supporting the MIC of their states and alliances, but when they turned from war to seeking peace, they had to be removed, whether by forced retirement (Khrushchev), assassination (Kennedy), political scandal (Nixon) or military coup (Erdogan).
I just commented this on Movable Cafe:
It looks like military coup is is happening right now in Turkey.
Now, before people start cheering for the overthrow, they should now that this is not being done because of Erdogans support for daesh or conflict with Russia. My guess is this is the opposite – Erdogan probably outlived his usefulness when he started shaking hands with Russia and started working on deflating the conflict. (No matter how fake and dishonest Erdogan and Turkey’s political elite were at expressing the wish for better cooperation).
Washington needs conflict, not a lovefest or something like a russo-turkish cold war.
Maybe we even see a return of the PM Smugface (Davutoglu).
So, to summarize up til now:
– Several bridges across the Bosporus seized by the military.
– Several highways in Ankara and Istanbul are being blocked.
– Jets and Helicopters are flying low over both cities.
– The airport in Istanbul has been taken over by the military.
– There have been shots fired at the intelligence office in Istanbul
– The army has seized the turkish state media and declared marshal law.
– Soldiers on the streets tell people to go home.
– The army declared, they’re taking control to uphold democracy.
– They also declared they took full controll over all administrative functions of the country.
– The country will be run by a “peace council”.
– Erdogan seems to be giving a statement as of the moment I’m writing this.
I think this timestamp is Teheran time, not Istanbul.
Either way, several hours old already.
Fri Jul 15, 2016 7:56PM
The Turkish army says it has taken power over the country and that the rule of law must remain a priority.
“The power in the country has been seized in its entirety,” said a military statement read on NTV television, without giving further details.
http://www.presstv.ir/Detail/2016/07/15/475362/Turkey-gunfire-Ankara-terror-attck
If this is directed against Erdogan, my gut feeling is that the army wants free reign in dealing with the Kurds as well as in achieving Syrian regime-change. If correct, then Erdogan was perceived as an ever more incompetent, delusional fool that had to be disposed of. In short: A clash between total reactionaries.

For those who are astrologically literate it should be of great interest to know that transiting Uranus at 24Aries25 now exactly opposes Mercury at 24 Libra 26 in Turkey’s radix (or incorporation) chart, set by convention for October 29, 1923 at 8:30 PM EET in Ankara. Radix Mercury furthermore tightly conjoins Saturn at 24 Libra 32 in the incorporation chart, an aspect which among other things represents the conservative elements in the Turkish state. Thus the Uranus opposition, a rare event symbolizing sudden and radical change, points to a genuine rupture in governance. A further factor is the approaching square of transiting Sun and Uranus, which becomes exact tomorrow. Under these stars Erdogan would be strongly advised to leave the country without delay.
I’m a pisces whats my fortune saying? Is a more multipolar peaceful world in my future? Will I be lucky in my next business venture? Lol
Watch what happens to Erdogan. He ‘s a pisces like you. He was born Feb 26 1954.
I’m a mid March Pisces, we’re different lol
I’m a Feces with Uranus rising. “Astrologically literate”? Isn’t that a non sequiteur?
It’s tempting to cheer a Turkish coup but I think Sinisa called it. Erdogan has “outlived his usefulness” to the A-Z’s.
You know you’ll never catch a wascally wabbit with feces right?
Interesting. Have you done a reading regarding the US elections? If so, I’m sure some of would be very interested in a post from you. Do you do astrology professionally?
I’ve been doing this kind of work since the early 80s, so that makes me, if not professional, at least persistent. What’s fascinating about the American election is the figure of Donald Trump, who has horseshoes galore in his natal chart. With a nudge from the Saker I’d be happy to weigh his proclivity for good fortune against the planetary influences at the time of the election.
By the way, while the coup seems to have faltered at this point, one should point out the due to the phenomenon of retrogradation, transiting Uranus will occupy this same position in zodiacal longitude twice more between now and May, 2017. That gives the rebel forces plenty of time to regroup and take another crack at it.
WE all fully agree with you!!!!!
(All caps violate the blog rules.I fixed it for you this time. But please don’t keep doing it or they will go into trash.MOD)
We’ll see who is behind it….gulenist, secularist….
But in the mean time-

While the Turkish coup seems to be real, reports of gunfire in Bashar al-Assad’s office in Damascus are false. Those are champagne corks.
Curfew, new constitution to be prepared/ announced……eu membership anybody???? Eu money for refugees will continue?????
Imprisoned journalists to be released one wonders…..so this must be a real stab in the back for erdogan methinks, cos turkish actions in syria have brought it discredit surely…..Ankara mayor asks people to go onto streets against curfew……was new prime minister the last straw for army?????
3 letter agencies getting rid of erdogan or creating a crisis for him to regain even more autocratic control????????
Erdogan making public statement via facetime says cnn, is coup by small group of people , pm says everything will be done to stop coup…….turks could be encouraged /motivated to return to home country ie back from Germany??? What will Germanies politicians think about Merkel Turkish Erdotan relationship.
@ JJ: „What will Germany‘s politicians think about Merkel Turkish Erdogan relationship“.
I don‘t know, I am just an ordinary german citizen, who has been robbed of his civil rights for having had some satirical remarks printed in 1974 (on the holy subject of our Israeli overlords occupying Palestine and filling it with illegal settlements while pretending not to), so that I know that satire is definitely forbidden in this country – and when something labelled „satire“ gets published big time it must be something else. There were two such cases during the Angela Hitler years: public ridiculing of the Polish president as „potato“ in 2007, followed by a first murder attempt in 2008 during the Georgian adventure, and a second, successful, 2010 in Smolensk at a personal jubilee/triumph day of Angela Hitler‘s. Therefore, when Erdogan got publicly ridiculed in Germany in April 2016 and this was fiercely defended by „Merkel“’s mouthpiece, I commented here (http://thesaker.is/the-destiny-of-russia-or-a-secret-thousand-year-plan/) on 16-4-13:
„(…) Speaking of Angela Hitler and her executions for political dissent, a new case is on its way. (…) Now, since two days, we have the next regime humour party: a regime satirist made jokes about Erdogan in the most encrunched regime TV, the ZDF, so that Erdogan’s being as ridiculous and incapable as the Kaczynskis is already a proven fact. Now we are all invited to take part in the next laughter: when a Turkish plane will “fall down” by, ha-ha, “bad weather and drunk pilots”, and, who would have thought that, somebody ridiculous and incapable happens to be onboard… It will be interesting to see who after that will again be rewarded by Angela Hitler with the Karlspreis and well paid jobs.“
Ok, it was not a plane but the Erdogan‘s regime, and it did not fall down but was meant to do that and probably have a finish like that which SSarkoSSy made happen to Gaddhafi. In the event it did not work out, though. That it was this what was meant became clear by a text on veteranstoday, by the many-hats-(and what else?)-wearing Jim Dean and his faithful BS writer (who let Russian czars fight the Khazars in 600 AD, 900 years before the first czar, just as an example) Preston James, Ph.D on July 15, 2016 at 3:21 pm:
„Erdogen wouldn’t listen to reason and brought this all on himself. He drank the Israeli Likudist Koolaide and now must pay. His generals have had enough of his fascism and ISIS support which has destroyed their previous massive tourist business with the Russians and Europeans.“
In short: Erdogan was guilty himself just as Kaczynski who „interfered with the pilot“, so that for the „Merkel”/Hitler/JimDean/PrestonJamesPhD party involved in this mishap, it was (to be) a clear case of a „regime suicide“ – by which token these fiction authors are a clear case of ideal candidates for the next Karlspreis.
I have pointed out at several occasions and do it again that Angela Hitler must be a man eater because she lets herself human lives be served at her personal jubilee days: 3 murdered Russian burgerrightlers for her 55th birthday, 96 Poles for her 10th jubilee as führer of The Party, 300 MH17 passengers for her 60th birthday, nil for her 10th jubilee in office as germ chancellor (because the Bavarskies had just threatened her with dethroning should she make one more sh§tty move after her „refugees“ scam), but now, it is Angela Rotzkill-Shitleburger‘s birthday, 17th of July, again, and the feast committee delivered 265 dead Turcs just in time… Now, *this* should be something germ politicians should ask themselves and her führeress: Is this to go on forever?
And, yes: „What do you think about Merkel Turkish Erdotan relationship“. Or about Frau Hitler‘s intimate relationship with the english and israeli scum/world nazification orgs? And: after Before It‘s News (BIN) reported that the english royals imported from Germany (who declared themselves to be really and completely Jewish in 2014 when with the same bit of breath they declared Frau Hitler „queen of Europe“) allegedly are *really* reptiles as acknowledged for a short time on their official website – what then is their beloved and eternally supported Hitler family, and namely Angela „Merkel“, the human-blood-drunkard? Lizard? Or worse?
It may be no coincidence that after the royals‘s public admission „The queen may be inhuman, but she still is your queen…“ the german mouthpiece of MI6, Der Spiegel, let a certain Sybille Berg write at http://www.spiegel.de/kultur/gesellschaft/kein-fleisch-essen-ist-besser-als-sex-kolumne-a-1100380.html
„Again and again I get asked (..): Why should the non-human, surpassing us intelligence (want to) exterminate us all in the near future…“
…*the* inhuman intelligence… we all read about at BIN and at the royals‘ website…. is *that* the great disclosure due some of these days?
bimboplumpe
We’ll know who is taking over by the friends they keep… This is a left field moment.
A report that erdo plane refused to land in instanbul and erdogan requested asylum in germany, but maybe hiding in naval base maybe in greece(would that give greece leverage to solve cyprus?)…….rumours????? Army anouncement says wants human rights and constitution restored…erdo too autocratic..concerns over terrorism…..so, if army is found guilty and erdo takes back power, that would surely decimate turkish army, knock on effects of that?Ie current actions re syria and kurds(could conso?idate their situation or increase civil war turkey v kurds…..implications? Weakens saudi quatar influences in Syria? Seems to be a little uncertainty whether coup is lead by top brass or lower ranks…..and who is loyal in army or security forces that erdo can rely on to take back control..??….watching on rt tv does not seem to be actions by civilians against army..which does not give strength to idea of civil war????.bombs against security building????.
Just writing points down as spoken on rt mostly by commentators they are using
It has the potential of being the IT event , since there are so many spoons in that soup.

Just read that Zerohedge reported events of the coup hours Before they actually occurred , and that zerohedge is not alone in this . Read it at removing the shackles blog of Dani Arnold McKenny who is quite the information gatherer .
Very interesting. While its too early to know now. Its pretty obvious its either a case of the military having “enough” of Erdagon’s rule harming Turkey. Or its the empire striking him for starting to be friendly again with Russia. If the coup is successful (again too early to know) I wonder what NATO’s reaction will be,unless they are behind it. Can NATO be seen in today’s world to support a military coup in a NATO state. And still keep any claim to only support “democracy”.
I think the coup looks suspicious as well, and probably NATO/U.S/Israel inspired. As soon as the Turkish government reached out to Russia, and made announcements regarding the support of normal relations with Syria, we have a coup.
It has to be the West forcing Turkey to continue the fight against Syria, Russia, Iran, China, et al.
Maybe its preparations for a full-scale ground invasion of Syria, and Erdogan was stalling too much.
Or maybe the opposite in that the Turkish military does not want to do a full-scale invasion that NATO/Israel/U.S./etc. was planning/pushing, and they’ve had enough of meddling against Assad.
Kerry has spoken with the Turkish foreign minister and assured him of US support against the coup, hence supporting the legally Turkish government aka Erdogan.
“According to US military officials, Erdogan could not land in Istanbul and heads to Germany to seek political asylum, reports Stratfor.”
https://actualidad.rt.com/actualidad/213262-erdogan-avion-dirige-alemania
This is actually an important piece of evidence. Surely the US had complete knowledge of the situation regarding the air space of a NATO ally, so the report, from US military sources, that Erdogan has sought asylum in Germany, another NATO ally, from Israeli/Mossad linked Stratfor, has to be US propaganda… i.e. The US showed its hand and supported the coup…
RT updates

Turkey’s government appears to have been overthrown in a coup, as the military claimed taking control over the country.

Erdo rally cry: Now get out there & fight for my job!
President Recep Erdogan is reportedly on vacation in the southern Turkish resort town of Bodrum.
About half an hour after midnight local time on Saturday, Erdogan appeared on CNN Turk (via Skype), issuing a statement blaming “parallel state” for the coup, calling for people to take to the streets, and vowing “We will overcome this.”
Seems like Erdogan supporters are on the move.
Seeing pictures of them climbing on army tanks.
Erdogan claims he’s going back to the capital and calls for the people to go on the streets.
This looks very, very dangerous.
Now this:
http://sputniknews.com/middleeast/20160716/1043078167/turkey-erdogan-military-coup-democracy.html
“military forces seizing control of the state sponsored television station saying that they were forced to seize control due to what they view as dictatorial mandates by the country’s leader”
“to reinstate constitutional order, human rights and freedoms, the rule of law”
“We hope that all of our good relationships with all countries will continue”
So, if this is true could it be that the sane people actually ARE trying to normalize relationship with neighbors and stop the conflict spiral and that I was too much of a cynic?
also
https://www.rt.com/news/351373-erdogan-cnn-turk-coup-announcement/
so, Erdogan via CNN Turk is reassuring everyone he’s still the boss.
Looks like we will have to look at western media in the early reports to figure out whos taking power.
BBC also says this is just an ‘army group’…
Yahoo and Google news still suspiciously shy about it, have only one news item and it’s the same one, citing PM.
Main CNN just repeated Erdogans claims of a ‘mutiny’ of ‘parts of army’..
So the putschists seem to be getting a ‘cold shoulder’ in mainstream for now.
If similar thing were to happen in Russia, we would hear of valiant men trying to save Russia from Putins dictatorship etc etc..
So could it be that the colder heads are prevailing there and they really don’t want conflict as they are stating?
Why does this not happen in the Diveded States of America?
Oh why?
The answer is well known: Because there is no us american embassy.
:-D good one!
Yes, how come this doesn’t happen in Pindostan whose gun-toting citizenry according to its own dear Core National Mythology would never tolerate an oppressive, corrupt government infringing on their super-duper liberties?
Maybe that’s because their silly fantasies and delusions are deemed fully sufficient and satisfactory as long as their beloved US government shares the global imperialist loot with them. If this comes to a halt, then it gets really interesting. Militant parasites are capable of anything when the oxygen is switched off.
Yes, end American Dollar Imperialism, and you will see the mask of American “democracy” shredded as the national lie that it has always been.
It will be bloody–massively bloody–but fully deserved for the Americans, who have murdered millions of people around the world in order to maintain their parasitic way of life and economy.
America’s very own Day of Judgment draws nigh, and it will NOT be denied.
America will become like some crappy Hollywood envisioned dystopia–like Max Max meets The Hunger Games.
From a Turkish friend:
Military is broadcasting on TRT. It says that Turkey has lost it’s reputation internationally. We have lost the secular state of Turkey. for the peace and balance in international environment, the control in the country has taken over. The army has taken all the preventions in Nato’s and UN’s and etcs side. Martial Law is announced all over the country, until the second announcement everyone should stay their home. The borders are closed etc. “Peace at home council” will take all the preventions for the people and protect the people.

UPDATE: Holy shit, people are pouring into the streets demanding their country back despite the warnings from the fascists who staged the coup in Turkey. (I updated this post before I finished writing it. That’s how fast this story is moving)

Social media has been blocked. The state radio and television stations have been invaded by armed soldiers. There is a curfew in place, decreed by the coup leaders. Shot have been fired in several cities. Turkish citizens are photographed on their knees in the streets with their hands cuffed behind them. Airports are shut down to keep Erdogan from returning to the country. Fighter jets are screeching over head in major cities.
This is the Gulenist’s version of “returning democracy” to Turkey. Sounds kind of like the “democracy” we saw installed in Honduras and Thailand recently. This is what democracy looks like to these people. It’s the same democracy they have installed time and time again across the globe.
Erdogan allegedly saught asylum in Germany. Has been denied.
Now there are some reports he’s asking the Brits.
Other reports say the military opened fire near or on one of the Bosporus bridges.

Getting uglier by the minute.
Lots of possibilities of air strikes by ‘rogue’ bases/wings not getting the news or not swearing fealty
to one side or the other for now till that side clearly has things under control.
May even witness some aerial dogfights.
Recall the CIA bombed Guatemala City in 1954, almost certainly with Eisenhower’s consent, to free the bananas.

like Chile, with by comparison small population, no direct NATO presence, & nearly no air force to speak of.
The Sept 11 1973 coup against Allende in Chile is likely the template we’ll see here followed if Erdo was putsched out by NATO.
To note also possible key clue upfront is when has NATO or its allies refused entry for asylum to one of their backed thug dictators who got deposed by the locals?
In 2004, Chilean Judge Juan Guzmán Tapia ruled that Pinochet was medically fit to stand trial and placed him under house arrest.[6] By the time of his death on 10 December 2006, about 300 criminal charges were still pending against him in Chile for numerous human rights violations during his 17-year rule, and tax evasion and embezzlement during and after his rule;[14] he was accused of having corruptly amassed at least US$28 million.

Now can we just take a moment to reflect on the moronic russian tourists that *raced* to Turkey regardless of everything, as soon as gov. lifted the ban.
I bet most of them are hoping that everything will simmer down for the next holiday in summer of 2017..
The loudest voices of “Assad Must Go” ~ Erdogan and Cameron ~ are now gone!
No wonder Erdogan apologized ~ is he considering applying for asylum in Russia?
Sorry, but I just can’t help being a bit happy about this. I hope this works out well for the Kurds somehow.
Events still unclear. It seems it’s not going to be a quick and clean coup.
Recently Erdogan seems to have fallen from grace with the US. Erratic policies, a less then reliable NATO partner, blackmailing the EU with refugees, support for a whole letter soup of terrorist gangs operating on every side of the Turkish border, a new PM, etc. Erdogan made way more enemies than friends. Flirting with Bibi and Vladimir to keep options open.
The Empire strikes back? Too early to tell. Various parties will exploit the uncertain situation in Turkey.
Only a year ago Syria was on the brink of collapse. NATO, GCC and Israel make formidable enemies in the Middle East. Yet Assad is still in control, thanks to Russia, Iran, Hezbollah and the brave Syrian people. This is a watershed moment in recent history.
Turkey has become a failed state in the making. The fabric of Turkish society has been torn apart along political, religious and ethnic lines. The perfect storm has shifted from Syria to Turkey. Karma is a bitch.
The EU will no longer consider Turkey a reliable partner. Paying billions to a military dicatorship or a weak regime to take care of refugees? EU membership? When hell freezes over.
Turkey is vital for NATO operations in the region. A military dictatorship or a sultan wannabe are bad news. Maybe NATO could bomb some democracy and human rights back into Turkish society?
Maybe this is just Plan B. Use internal conflicts in Turkey as a catalyst for the creation Kurdistan, on Turkish, Iraqi and Syrian soil. Split up Syria in the process, stretch out the conflict with some sectarian strife and support “the moderate opposition” until three or more mini states are left.
If everything else fails, blame Russia. Or Gulen.
Those 28 pages won’t make the headlines tomorrow…
Yes,I figure “somehow” someone will figure it out that “Putin did it” pretty soon.
Yup, recently heard Wolfe Blitzer mention, “you know who” in correlation to the coup.
So what is Obama going to do with his Syrian rebels now? Haha. Obama must be having a sex change over this one.
Syrian rebels dropping their guns and running for the hills………
NO MORE DAESH!!!!!!
This makes me wonder just what Kerry, Nuland, Putin & Lavrov were all talking about in Moscow.
Probably the Grandchildren?
It was also nice of them to wait until all the western financial markets were closed for the weekend. And, for those who are keeping track, that’s not a new tactic.
Looks like the Turkish military is attacking the police:
UPDATE: 17 Turkish officers reportedly killed in helicopter attack on police special forces headquarters on outskirts of Ankara.
I’m not sure on the coup leaders position on the Kurds. But it seems to me in this chaos would be the perfect time for the Kurds to offer a deal with one side or the other. And strike hard at the side that doesn’t make a deal. Erdagon has also called on his supporters to come to the streets and fight the coup. At least some are doing that. It would also seem to me that the secular anti-Erdagon people should take to the streets in opposition to Erdagon. That might show us just which side has the support of the majority. We are told a lot that Erdagon is hated and rules by force. That could very well be true. But this coup (or attempted coup) may show us clearly which side the Turkish people do support.
His name is spelled ErdOgan – with an ‘o’ in the middle, not an ‘a’. I remember how to spell it because those who hate him would sometimes write: ErDOGan.
RT is now reporting the governor of Istanbul is saying the “coup” has been suppressed. If true,I’d hate to be those involved in it. A firing squad is likely to be their fate soon. Also,if it is true,it shows Erdagon has much more support than some thought. And for him to be overthrown will be very hard. Its highly likely he will ruthlessly purge anyone against him in the military and security services after this.
The operative words being ‘if true’. Just have to wait and see…but you’re right – being on the wrong side of a failed coup means execution.
Oh God no. Please say no. I hope RT is mistaken.
Erdogan is finished whether the coup is successful or not. Even if he has a bit of apparent popularity with the Turkish people.
The way I see it, the fascist regimes are falling apart. First the UK (excellent coverup they did ~ trying to spin that it was intentional), now Turkey, next the House of Saud. Boom. Boom. Boom.
Then Israel, France, Brussels……….let’s have a party!
No wait. Let’s have a party when the USA goes belly-up.
The Turks won’t just use a firing squad on the losers of this coup, they torture there, old school style.
If this gets really bad and NATO does not intervene, will this be the end of NATO?
Here is what I think will happen. Call me crazy. I bet our beloved Putin will be instrumental in finding a resolution to this mess in Turkey.
Hi everybody,
I just got home. I am not feeling very well. But I wanted to share the following with you:
1) Erdogan said that Gullen’s people were behind the coup
2) https://www.opendemocracy.net/osman-softic/what-is-fethullah-g%c3%bclen%e2%80%99s-real-mission
Question: when I try to watch RT live I get a message saying:
“cannot load m3u8: 404 not found”
Am I the only one?
THANKS TO THE MODERATORS
Cheers,
The Saker
Friends,
Don’t be too quick to judge: *if* the coup plotters are really Fethullah Gulen’s sympathizers than this is a CIA backed coup.
I am not saying that I know that these are really Gulen’s forces.
All I am saying is that not to jump to conclusions here.
Hugs to all,
The Saker
notice something else:
The BBC is reporting that the military took power
Sputnik says that Erdogan is in control
what does that tell you?
RT live coverage didn’t work on their site since it all began today:
https://s26.postimg.org/ozi617hh5/rt_live.png
France 24 live coverage just mute & read headlines coming in at bottom.
Site has a nattering talking head on with an irritating clear Brit accent .
Now they’ve topped that with Mr. Ed spouting off live.

I get it too. and can’t load.
It Failed
@For those who are astrologically literate…
and more, let’s remind us the prophecies of Elder Paisios of the Holy Mountain:
“Events will start that will culminate with us taking back Constantinople. Constantinople will be given to us. There will be war between Russia and Turkey. In the beginning the Turks will believe they are winning, but this will lead to their destruction. The Russians, eventually, will win and take over Constantinople. After that it will be ours. They will be forced to give it to us.”
“(The Turks) will be destroyed. They will be eradicated because they are a nation that was built without God’s blessing. One third of the Turks will go back to where they came from, the depths of Turkey. One third will be saved because they will become Christians, and the other third will be killed in this war.” This is based on the Saint Kosmas prophecy.
Saint Paisios reposed on July 12, 1994. One of the things he wrote was, “I wanted nothing else but God to keep me alive for a few more years so I could see my country expand. And it will expand…”
“Turkey will be dissected. This will be to our benefit as a nation. This way our villages will be liberated, our enslaved homelands. Constantinople will be liberated, will become Greek again. Hagia Sophia will open again,”
“Turkey will be dissected in 3 or 4 parts. The countdown has begun. We will take the lands that belong to us, the Armenians will take theirs and the Kurds their own. The Kurdish issue is at the works,”
Paisios wrote further: “As long as there is faith and hope in God, a lot of people will rejoice. All that will happen in these years. The time has come.”
Can possibly the events have anything to do with the push to transform again Hagia Sophia into a mosque, brought a step closer by the provocative decision of Turkish authorities to schedule the Koran reading in Hagia Sophia for the Ramadan? It has virtually transformed it into a mosque for the first time in 80 years. That created agitation in Greece: “It is a provocative and incomprehensible act and shows disrespect against Orthodox Christians across the world and is not in line with Turkey’s European course”.
Feels a little wishful and yet seeing how things went… Using the Chaos to their advantage a theoretical greek army could press to Constantinople… But they would be facing constant conflict with the people living there let alone the turkish military… They’d have to EC it and thats not very PC… If you know what I mean…
If this is correct
https://actualidad.rt.com/actualidad/213262-erdogan-avion-dirige-alemania
Then the Skype broadcast Erdo-gone (on CNN Turk) did could have been done from anywhere is the world. And if he is in Teheran then he knows the CIA/USA is behind this and dares not land in any country ruled by them. So where oh where is Edo-gone to?
Where oh where can my Erdogone be
Where oh where has he gone?
Look here , look there, where is he?
no heart to know or eyes to see
His ending, a cruel and sad song.
But like Uncle Bob said…we really may not know anything much for awhile. It is sad to see blood run on the streets of yet another major city in the world. May good come from this quickly.
Latest – Erdogan lands in Istanbul – tens of soldiers surrendering to military police –
http://tass.ru/en/world/888599
From the state-run Andalou Agency
Coup leader ‘named’
The state-run Anadolu Agency, citing unnamed military sources, says the leader of the attempted coup is Col. Muharrem Kose.
The agency says Kose, who headed the military’s legal advisory department, was dismissed from the position a short time ago.
The agency says other officers involved include Col. Mehmet Oguz Akkus, Maj. Erkan Agin and Lt. Col. Dogan Uysal.
“The United States should maintain relations with the Turkish military if the coup succeeds in the country”, US House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Michael McCaul stated.
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Washington should maintain relations with the Turkish military if the coup succeeds in the country, McCaul stated.
“Our military enjoys very good relationship with the Turkish military. If in fact this coup has taken place and is successful, I think moving forward that relationship is imperative to maintain our NATO ally status with Turkey,” McCaul said on Friday in an interview with Fox News.
The congressman argued that the Turkish military has seen policies of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan as “a bit dangerous” to the security of the country.
“His [Turkish] military being more secular, President Erdogan being a little more on the Islamist side of the house,” McCaul claimed. “With the attacks at the Istanbul airport recently, with the ISIS [Islamic State] attacks recently, with Russia in the region, I think what you are seeing now is a major military coup in response to some of these policies has taken place.”
“Turkish Military Coup: Turks Take To The Streets, Clash With Army; Erdogan Urges “Resist Coup To Death”” (ZH)
Starting to sound like an Egyptian ‘Spring’ thing…
Erdogan is now in Istanbul giving a speech at the airport. Strange that he would have so much support there. I always heard that city was the secular center of Turkey. He is promising to punish anyone involved in the coup. I’d say Turkey is in for a big time “reign of terror” if the coup has failed. The old saying is still very true,”if you strike at the King, make sure we’ve killed him”. It looks like the coup plotters didn’t plan it very well. They didn’t arrest the leadership at the start. And it so far doesn’t appear like they had a “Plan B” if they couldn’t seize the major cities. No plan for a countryside fallback to continue the fighting. The only “silver-lining” may be that this has crippled Erdogan’s ability to cause trouble outside Turkey. He will be occupied with the coup aftermath for a while at least.
This event looks to have been staged by Erdogan himself.
It definitely looks to me like this is a fake coup that was staged by Erdogan himself as an excuse to purge and execute his opposition.
http://katehon.com/agenda/pro-american-coup-turkey
A coup attempt has taken place in Turkey
At this moment the fate of the country is being decided. A military group occupied the state television building where they transmitted message of seizing power. According to the military, they are holding hostage commander-in-chief and the government was also arrested. Earlier, Prime Minister of Turkey Binali Yildirim made a statement that the attempt of the rebellion has failed
In a Skype, which was broadcast on the air of CNN Turk, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has accused the supporters of Islamist leader Fetullaha Gülen in the organization of the coup. Fetullaha Gülen is residing in the United States, and cooperating with US intelligence agencies. Erdogan urged people to go out to the streets and prevent the coup. Where is Erdogan himself is currently unknown. Meanwhile, military helicopters attacked the presidential quarter in Ankara. In Ankara and Istanbul and other major cities, people go out to the streets, trying to stop the military vehicles.
However, judging by the tanks in all cities of the country the Coup has the potential to end in the military’s victory. While not reported exactly who led the coup. Military answered that they intend to restore democratic rights and freedoms. Open liberal rhetoric is the evidence in favor of the coup’s Atlanticist orientation.
HideWashington’s Hand
The military coup has obvious geopolitical implications. It comes after a sharp reversal in the direction of the relations of Turkey and Russia and changes on the Syrian issue made by the country’s leaders . On last eve Binali Yildirim said that Turkey intends to restore relations with official Damascus. In essence, this would mean a radical change of the whole geopolitical situation on the Syrian issue and the collapse of the US strategy in the region. Before that Erdogan removed Ahmet Davutoglu from the country’s leadership. US realized that Erdogan decided to change the geopolitical course. United States decided to act and use their networks of influence in military circles, to initiate a coup.
We should expect reprisals against both the opposition, in favor of strengthening ties with Russia and Syria, as well as functionaries of the ruling party “Justice and Development”. The pro-Russian course will be frozen.
If this is a faction of the Turk military disenchanted with Erdogan trending towards a more sectarian Turkish state modeled somewhat loosely along the lines of the Muslim Brotherhood? Did the coup organizers get instructions or permission from the Americans before putting their operation into action? Were they given a “Kuwaiti go-ahead” as Hussein was? Was this the sloppy work of outside agency? If the Americans are not behind this coup it will fail.
I saw this on Fox TV tonight and it really caught my attention:
(as also blogged here: http://www.godlikeproductions.com/forum1/message3233741/pg151?disclaimer=1)
Former CIA Director James Woolsey was just on Fox News Megan Kelly show saying it is possible this is a false flag – that Erdogan staged a fake coup so he could crack down on dissidents and gain more power. He is speculating that it was a very weak coup attempt, which makes him think it wasn’t serious. This would be a good way to purge the military to retain only loyalists… interesting to hear a conspiracy theory on mainstream media.
I also appreciated seeing these comments from Lt. Col. Peters:
http://insider.foxnews.com/2016/07/15/peters-says-obama-chose-wrong-side-turkey-coup
I can see the possibilities of erdogans loyalists subverting people genuinly concerned abouf turkey, to be lead up the garden path, being used to expose unreliables, then this Gulen guy being blamed in order to take him out, and erdo then stregnthening his position at a time when he is being put into compromises eg with russia…….
Yes, he (Erdogan) does seem to have some form in this area, when he finds himself in a sticky position.
Gulen is a CIA asset. He live in a gigantic mansion in Pennsylvania. He will be fine.
Or — US/Nato was directly or indirectly supporting the coup-makers (who might have been somewhere “down-the-line”), and when they failed they conveniently try to deflect the blame towards the enemy.
I have learnt to never, never trust anybody on an official US payroll. If he would have said this in the early hours of the coup attemt it would have been one thing, but after the whole thing is more or less over, it is easy to make up any narrative that suits your agenda.
Saker
“the timing here looks very suspicious to me and I wonder which side is behind it.”
Yeah, I thought that also as soon as I heard about it. I’m also wondering if erdogan got wind of this impending coup and that his recent 180s (and apparent return to a seemingly more civil foreign policy) were a response to try and prevent this coup? I’ve only heard the bs from the zio-gay pov so far, having only heard what was said about it on pindo radio and just getting off work.
Keep an eye on the very good coverage on Sputnik: http://sputniknews.com/
Here is the latest they are reporting:
Colonel Muharrem Kose, a former officer in the Turkish Armed Forces was named by state-run Anadolu News Agency as the leader of the coup attempt against President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s government.
The whole world wonders.
https://ivarfjeld.files.wordpress.com/2010/12/obama_erdogan1.jpg
Both Sputnik and RT are reporting a wind down and round up of the coup people, ATM. My guess the coup’ers have run out of steam and the coup has failed.
Erdogan himself is saying Fethullah Gulen and his followers are behind the coup. Fethullah Gulen resides in the US.
Gulan lives in the USA . So does Saker. What is this, then, guilt by association? That Erdogan says it makes it doubly suspect and that he can demonize a religious/political rival by character assassination makes it even more suspect.
I do not know about Gulan at all. The charter school movement set up in his name was investigated by the FBI and given an OK re: terrorism which does not ipso facto make it a CIA bastion for recruitment for overseas operations either.
PKK still stays on their list it appears.
The facts, mam, just the facts. And the most clever liar does not lie all the time. The most effective lie is a half-truth. These are times for discernment, for testing intuition in the clear light of reason, and for watching very clearly one’s own inner biases or faulty reasonings.
Sixty People Killed in Ankara amid Failed Military Coup in Turkey
http://sputniknews.com/news/20160716/1043094837/Erdogan-military-coup-turkey-war.html
“A failed military coup has left scores dead throughout Turkey including 60 civilian protesters who heeded the call of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to resist the attempt to overthrow the democratically elected government”….
Armed insurrections are all fun and games until they’re are directed at you. Still trying to follow the developments on RT. (had the same problems viewing as The Saker) Haven’t seen how the mainstream media is covering the coup yet.
Turkey on the Ropes?
Pure Stage craft!
Top Turk flies in like ‘sky god’ to save the little Turk from the … (fill in the blanks) rebels …
Why now? …what else is going on that needs some distraction apart from the ‘Bern’ and his pieces of silver…?
… “9/11 report: Secret 28 pages showing possible Saudi links released by US Congress” …
There will no doubt be some $$$ flowing from the usual suspects in Jihad-Riyadh to Uncle Erdogan for timely distraction services rendered.
It sound weird that two days ago, Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said in a televised address to the people of Turkey that Ankara needs to normalize relations with Syria in order to effectively fight terrorism. On top of that, Erdogan sent a letter of apology to Russian leader Vladimir Putin last month over Ankara downing a Russian warplane in 2015. I guess Washington does not like that. Also, it has been reported that the Hizmet Movement founded by Fethullah Gulen, a CIA agent, is behind this coup. Regime change ordered by Washington? Who knows……….
Exactly – strange.
Does anyone else see a huge disparity between the number of people ‘killed’ in the 2 head line events?
In Nice allegedly 84 people were killed by a truck that travelled for half an hour and ‘mowed’ down people. Yet the videos presented, all show a truck slowly moving down a wide street with no people in it’s path and other scenes of people running and other scenes of ‘bodies’ covered with tarps on the road.
In Turkey allegedly 60 people killed. But in this case guns, soldiers, helicopters, tanks etc. and protesting crowds.
Anything odd here??
Not really. The operations were different. Military firefights in one case. As for the Nice killings. Two of the victims (a father and his young son, tourists. ) were from my hometown. And there are local write-ups.
And where the write ups prepared before the false flag Nice ‘event’ happened??
It must be so sad to be paranoid of “everything” and believe “everything” is a trick. Happily I haven’t sunk to that level yet,and hopefully never will.
The Turkish casualties probably haven’t been fully counted yet.
At least the scriptwriters changed a few critical things so nobody suspects anything but the real story reconstructed by a true Clouseau caliber investigator.
Like here where it went from the immaculate passport on 911 to the immaculate drivers licence.
(from comments undere article at syrianperspective)
Une source policière a confirmé à l’AFP que des papiers d’identité au nom d’un Franco-Tunisien ont été retrouvés dans le camion.
TRANSLATION: BFMTV networks reports that an ID was found in the truck. The man is from Nice, 31 years old. A police source confirmed to AFP that IDs in the name of a franco-tunisian were found in the truck.
It is mandatory in almost all European countries (UK the exception) to carry some form of ID at all times.
When I lived in France, Belgium, Netherlands and Germany I always carried my passport when outside my front door.
Nice was ANOTHER drill/hoax. Sharp eyed people spot all their tricks. They are using DUMMIES and fake blood for the street scenes. Some people noticed a video with people pouring blood on the street, but it was taken down.
Turkey is real and there are pictures of captured Turkish soldiers who’ve been tortured – faces are swollen, large gashes on their faces and heads, hands tied behind their backs, eyes half-closed. It is not so fakey fakey fakey as Sandy Hook, Orlando Pulse, Nice, etc.
And so where are the videos with the dummies and fake blood? Saying that “some sharp-eyed people saw that and then the video was taken down” is the same as saying “just believe me,I have no proof” but “I know its true”.That type of argument is the same ,just on opposite sides as the Ukrainians saying “Putin agents did it” every time something goes wrong there. We rightly ridicule that. And I see no reason to follow their lead in ridiculousness.
Here is another person that doubts it was fake as well. President Putin offering his condolences by video to the people of France. And mentioning that Russian citizens were among those killed in Nice.http://sputniknews.com/world/20160715/1043026124/putin-nice-condolences.html?utm_source=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2F&utm_medium=short_url&utm_content=bF2y&utm_campaign=URL_shortening
Diplomacy in action. Putin is not going to call them out by poking them in the eye.
If he said nothing ,that would be diplomacy. But going out of his way to make a public statement. And talking about Russian citizens killed in Nice would not be classed as diplomacy. He would be “either lying,or it was true”. I see no reason to doubt the Presidents words. If you think he was lying you are free to. But I’d like to see your proof he’s lying.
Uncle bob a bunch of others-Mr.Putin/Lavrov I hope you notice doing much more intelligent ,rational ,sophisticated, few step ahead than Molotov &co1939-1941 toward Deutschland ubber alles.
A real atrocity is obvious, look at the big attack in Turkey, hysterical people, mass ambulance etc. a false attack is just as obvious for the opposite reasons.
Every event is different. There is no “one size fits all”. President Putin disagrees with you as well. I’ll support his thinking over your’s.
Putin won’t call out false flag terrorism committed by his Western “partners” because it would mean saying that the Euro-Americans have no clothes.
Has Putin stated that 9-11 was a false flag attack staged by the Americans (with help from their Israeli partners)?
No, he has refused to do so.
Even though there is significant evidence that 9-11 was indeed an inside job organized by the Americans and blamed on Muslim patsies.
He also doesn’t talk about that event. That is what not calling them out entails. But he talks about this one. And even says Russians died in it. Why is it so hard for some people to understand that all “events” are not the same. There is an unhealthy “need” for some to equate all attacks as being false. I really can’t see the logic or truth in that. Its the same as the other side blaming everything as “Putin agents did it”.
Uncle Bob – Here is a video which shows a dummy, starting at the 0:45 time mark.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eLONj30SkMM
And notice one of the comments:
“Look at the first guy with his leg twisted… His left arm is sliced off… But yet it is next to his body, no strewn across the road…
I think this footage might have been shot elsewhere and even a year earlier… This footage was released to prove the attack is real…
95% of the footage is low quality which they use for UFO hoaxes… It is 1990s quality footage…
Are we not in 2016, even if you had a phone from 2010, the footage would still be better than this…
The guy uses a low quality camera, walks quickly and does not ask anybody they need help, he does not focus on anything for to long…”
Amanda Brook Celar’s Of a not so civil war
Amanda Brook Celar
Based on a true story, the book tells of an English woman’s travels and experiences in the former Yugoslavia during the vicious fighting that saw its breakup.
Here, Uncle Bob 1:
Youtube video entitled False Flags for DUMMIES. And they also show the alleged truck with bullet holes, yet NO blood on the truck. Looks like the stagers forgot that part:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kPRFmqirVJ0
Yes, Nice was fake and so was the Istanbul attack several days ago – there was NO INFRASTRUCTURE DAMAGE unlike Baghdad and the current coup. And parking some ambulances or police cars with flashing lights is part of the staging. You’ll notice that they usually are just parked there and are not treating anyone at all. Like in Sandy Hook – and videos showed the same crowd of people walking around and around and around in circles and going in one door of the “school” and out the other then back around to the other side (helicopter shots showed this.)
I just lost 12 minutes of my life I’ll never get back. Its sad that anybody puts faith in videos like that. The guy is obvious off his meds. He takes half-truths and weaves in some really “freaky” stuff. I’m done trying to explain common sense with this. If you can’t see that I really can’t help you.
Yeah Uncle Bob, it is really a waste of time. Among the victims in Nizza there have been also three people from Germany. Two students and their teacher from Berlin. I saw an interview with the mother of a surviving daughter. Her daughter watched the killing of her classmates and her teacher nearby. The mother sounded and looked not fake at all. I just googled “death list orlando” and found the pictures and stories of 50 people. Are we supposed to believe that they live now under different identities somewhere laughing their heads off? This kind of stories are a trap and a distraction. Concentrate on the perpetrators, the patsies and the real ones in the shadows. Do not insult the victims. The evil ones like real blood much to much, they do not go for substitutes.
And while we all waste time arguing the minutiae of whether something is a false flag or not, the real magicians get on with the show.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Misdirection_(magic)
This is why they love us doing this. Bit and pieces, tidbits of info (whether true or not) are given out. It’s like the reality TV show that is US presidential elections. It’s all misdirection and diversion. Can’t you all see that?
Its no longer important whether an event is a real false flag or not anymore. I’ve only just recently realized this myself. All events are now used adroitly for the same ends. Regardless.
Since Israhell is not officially mentioned it must be heavily involved.
I am not a political analyst, but it seems to me that US is repeating itself in these tentatives to destabilize any state (it does not matter if friend or not), when the leader of that state has a policy different from Washington. But it looks like the coup failed! Obama and merkel now says ” that they stay on the side of erdogan “the elected president”. Isn’t it refreshing! such a sense of democracy!!!
Considering Mr. Gülen’s links to the CIA: if Erdogan was truly rapproaching Russia, then it is probable the US was aware of this and attempted another color revolution through Mr. Gülen, only this time which failed. If he wasn’t, it’s still possible US THOUGHT he was rapproaching Russia. The third possibility is it was Erdogan’s own false flag to act as a savior and to “prove the peoples support” ultimately leading to more power consolidation.
If it was a US attempt, there’s a possibility that Erdogan actually was (now, is, with US having played its card and lost) getting ready to stop ISIS oil trafficking and cut off supplies from the Syrian rebels. It must be one of those as I assign close to a zero possibility that Russia could, or even would do to the lack of influence in the Turks army, organize something like this even if it wanted to. And it wouldn’t really make any sense to do so.
If those are the cases, Merkel and Obama offering “full support” to Erdogan is probably nothing more than an attempt to quickly and quietly wash hands, but either way Erdogan does seem to be aware of their potential involvement and they have damaged their standing with him who is now, in any case, more powerful than before.
Yes, if the coup has failed – and every sign is there – Erdogan will be more powerful than ever.If he pointed his finger toward US, he will have definitely hard times ahead. But, now he has the backing of his people, there are no signs that crowds who usually demonstrated against him are going to do this, this time. We will see later on, if he will go ahead with his new policy toward Russia and Syria in fighting the terrorists. Most certainly he will have to work to calm down the situation and clarify who is behind him, who can be trusted and who not both in the government and military. He reiterated that will get rid of those who have made the coup possible. To find out who are behind the strings will not be an easy task, moreover if the strings – or some of them – are hiding in foreign countries. The situation is complicated and there will be interesting things to come out. At the moment, the kurds are silent, the Daesh is silent, Saudi Arabia is silent as well Israel. Everybody is waiting, the game is underway.
Guys: does anybody know what is the current status of social media access to residents of Istanbul and Ankara?
Are Twitter and Facebook still being blocked?
Is Erdogan using social media himself to his advantage?
Thanks everyone and mods for posts……,Rory Suchet on rt just madeca good point, at nato conf. Erdohad never looked so alone and angy….what good timing to bring into operation an event to re boot his status, consolidate ,show to Rus he is still someone with militray power that vould be used against Syria and Kurds,he can be independant and not lose face over raprochement with Rus even if that continues…..gonna pay for the rus fighter…?
How ironic eu and usa welcoming the rule of law and stability and democracy aftdr coup only shows the folly of their beliefs with regarde to renegade Erdogan reported eg for his military killing innocent Syrian refugees and kurdish citizens.Maybe is an event to neutralise those people who know of his real goings on, as they seem genuinely motivated to bring back a sense of a genuine honest reasonable Turkey. Maybe so far is just a “tester” for organisers of coup to see what could be achieved, that more disaffected in military could rebounce back???
Random thought…..cia covertly initiating upporting staged coup attempt to strengthen erdo and then target revealed Gulen supporters to be dealt with and to get back at State Dept who “permit” Gulen to be resident in usa??????
Allright, I’m over it.
Can someone please, wake me up when a military coup happens in the Land of The Free, the Do Not Thread On Me, the home of the Rugged Individual, the Obamination:
The disUnited States of Amerikwa…or tel aviv on the Potomac.
Much luck to the Kurds, and see You next year in Constantinople!
Puff.
Don’t you know the standard joke? A coup will never happen in the United States, because there’s no U.S. Embassy there.
Much happening at the same time . Time stamp ‘signatures 777 etc . Complex .
That this happens so soon within time frame after Nice ; officially 77 dead then 84 , 77 plus seven , on 7/14 .
Veterans today makes claim of tactical nuclear explosion .
Online report , Germany denying Erdogan landing permission – 2 hours before coup took place ?
Zerohedge article published – 2 hours before event took place ? Both reported at removingtheshackles blogspot of Dani Arnold McKenny .
Coup happens after Erdogan has made nice with Russia , shows signs of mending ISIS supporting ways .
Coup happens not long after Brexit ; Fascist International/ Gladio/EU/NATO/British manouvering too complex to analyze , but one may assume movement is taking place , Turkey not independent of it .
Brexit has numbers as well – Lagarde’s Magic 7 – but I digress .
A / Erdogan & Co pulled this off as a method of clamping down on all dissent , since if they did it without excuse there would be uproar . He is in a desperate position .
B / Erdogan thought his direction was failing and he got incentive to change his support for terror to more cooperation with Russia . Various western interests found B untenable and try to dump Erdogan . I think not likely to be possible such reach would also have effective grasp .
C / Organized crime or entrenched Sabbatean faction in Turkey wants to continue ISIS gravy train .
D / It is a genuine coup against Erdogan , built up resentment of the military exploding . However , the timing and surrounding events mark this not a pure coup of resentment .
I’ll hazard a guess that the coup was US-backed and intended to fail. I suspect it is warning to Erdogan by the US about getting too close to Russia.
So Gulag (the american puppet who is trained in usa) is behind this coup attempt in Turkey.
Its obvious this is not the horse to ride.
Turkey under usa controll is even worse then Erdogan.
Better if it was a real revellion from the turkish people by and for the turkish people.
My idea from the beginning was that the coup had to fail.
Being Erdogan basically a NATO ally, coups are allowed everywhere else in Middle East but in Turkey; Americans won’t like it. However, a couple of facts are still unclear: recently he expressed sorrow for the Russian pilot and yesterday night strangely Germany refused Erdogan landing and probably Erdogan will remember that. We will see, I’m not a political analyst so I wait for those more experienced than me to talk, probably something is going to change behind the curtains.
So that is Turkey falling apart. The army gets purged as Erdogan grabs for more power. The army losesmany of the capabilities it may have had. Kurds living in Turkey start to resist, likewise Syrians in Turkey resist, Armenians in Turkey resist. Secular Turks resist. Greeks start looking at recovering lost territory… Revolution and sectarianism are in the air! In the end it is likely Erdogan faces demise by execution or assassination. It is a matter of when someone gets the opportunity. Meanwhile Turkey falls into violence and disorder and destruction- civil war. Could start breaking apart into constituencies. Whatever the case it is the end of modern Turkey. Ataturk’s legacy is soon to be no more.
The government now lacks legitimacy. This is a big opportunity for Syrians, Armenians, Kurds….. Also for Russia.

BTW did you notice Erdogan was speaking from the airport? He was ready to flee to some bolt-hole somewhere (not Germany it would seem- that’s gotta be a worry for him, not so many friends around these days).
People will notice that he is ready to flee and obviously has off-shore loot sequestered away..
Bye bye credibility.
