Dear friends,
Over the next couple of days I am going to try to “life the foot off the gas pedal” and only concentrate on one thing: an “end of year report” combined with an assessment of possible events in 2015. Other then that, I will not post anything written by me.
I have high hopes that by the Orthodox Nativity (January 7th) the “new new blog” or “new blog v 2.0″ shall be ready.
I also have good hopes that the Serbian blog will restart its activities, this time with a completely different team.
Finally, I have some very sweet news to announce. I am working on a Muslim Saker Blog whose main goal will be to include a Muslim voice into the already diverse Saker community of blogs by presenting a traditional Muslim view on current events and issues and to report on the struggle against Wahabism and the AngloZionist propaganda about Islam. The members of the Muslim Saker blog will include both Shia and Sunni Muslims (including a Salafi imam). Finally, I am absolutely delighted to announce that the famous Islamic scholar Sheikh Imran N. Hosein has agreed to participate to the work of the Muslim Saker Blog. To have the full support of personality of this stature is truly a privilege.
Still, I strongly feel that once voice will be missing: the one of a Russian Muslim, ideally a Chechen or Dagestani one. So here is my request: if you are a Russian Muslim, especially a Chechen or Dagestani, and if you know enough English to work with an English-language team, please contact me at vineyardsaker@gmail.com. Alternatively If you have a friend or contact who might be interested, please pass on this request to him/her. The West knows nothing about the kind of traditional Islam which is now dynamically growing in Russia, especially in the Russian Caucasus, and I think that it is a crying shame. All you hear is slander against Ramzan Kadyrov, but never an explanation of his views or policies. Nor do you ever hear a non-Wahabi Russian Muslim voice. I want to change that.
Ukrainian Nazism and Wahabism are two expressions of the same hate-filled worldview, two tools of the same Empire, to demonic ideologies financed, organized, federated and directed by the same Powers: the AngloZionist 1%er Empire and they are now both targeted at Russia, Orthodoxy and Islam. Muslims are on the frontline in this battle against the Empire’s truly satanic legions, be that in Syria, Iraq, Iran, Kazakhstan, the Caucasus or the Donbass and their voice is an absolutely crucial one in the worldwide Resistance against Empire.
This is why the Empire wants to separate us. And This is why I want us to unite.
Finally, I have a small request. I have recently posted articles by Dagmar Henn and Andreja Vrazalic which both contained controversial political opinions. I want to continue that and even make the “re-thinking politics” a regular feature of this blog. This means that I will ask people with all sorts of very different political opinions to share their ideas with us. By definition some of those ideas will be very different from the ones we hold. But let’s please keep it civil, let’s not resort to name-calling, ad hominems and ugly attacks on the authors, okay? If you disagree, fine. Post a comment supported by facts and logical analyses. Even better, write your own essay which I will gladly post. But let’s keep an impeccably polite and courteous tone towards each other and especially towards our guest authors!
That’s it for now. I am going to work on my report which I hope to post here in a couple of days.
Kind regards to all and, for those of you who celebrate the new year on January 1st, happy celebrations and all the best for 2015 (God knows it will be a dangerous one!).
Cheers and kind regards,
The Saker

thank you! That’s really really important. And take care yourself, please!
Saker, it was on account of you and your blog that I went to the trouble of reading Alexander Dugin, who I am sure is not someone you would whole-heartedly support. likewise, I enjoyed hearing the perspective of Imram Hosein. Happy Orthodox Nativity from a western christian.

If you really want to be as inclusive as possible, as I wish this site to be, consider Hindu, Chinese, and Jewish Saker-blogs, of course, written both in their native and English languages. The Muslim and Jewish blogs will definitely show wide acceptance of all views, something trolls and similarly minded monkey wrenches will not like.
Best regards and happy holidays to all, Spiral.
@Spiral:Jewish blogs will definitely show wide acceptance of all views
LOL, for that the corporate media is already doing a stellar job. They hardly need my help. But I will say this, the day when the mass media turns as anti-Jewish as it is anti-Muslim today I will definitely consider a Jewish Saker blog ;-)

“President Putin identified oil prices and sanctions as the external factors affecting the Russian economy. Yet, these are obviously the tools. Who is using them? Radio Sputnik discussed the issue with German political analyst Christoph R. Hörstel…”
It’s refreshing to hear about the players operating behind the scenes and not see their primary role diluted or obfuscated by claiming it’s the Americans, or the Germans or the British, or something vague like “the powers the be” (my favourite of the dodges).

“The Powers that be”
HAHAHA HAHAHA
I genuinely believe that that is the most stupid platitude the world has ever invented.
On another note.
While it is true that the major western powers are ruled by tiny and cynical elites that have nothing but contempt even for their own compatriots. The argument can certainly be made that even the middle and working classes in the west benefit from the exploitation of the rest of the planet.
And when in recorded human history has the exploitation of those individuals and/or nations seen as the weaker not been the case? With the result being beneficial for the stronger party’s citizens who are not among the lowest members of the exploiter group. Since the lower group is already being exploited or disenfranchised.

AirAsia flight QZ8501 has gone missing with 162 persons on board during a return trip from Surabaya to Singapore. It disappeared off ADS-B tracking somewhere in the Java Sea just south of a little island called Belitung.

And now, another flight “disappears” linked to a Malaysian airline company, this time AirAsia, headed by private sector business genius Tony Fernandes. Jala and Fernandes were formerly airline industry rivals, now turned comrades in arms against government intrusion into business:

http://rt.com/business/218103-russia-coal-electricity-ukraine/
I realise you addressed the question to the Saker, but I’ve read a couple articles (Russian sources) about why. There are two main reasons from what I understand.
1.Charity. And it’s good PR. The Russians do not want to distance the ordinary Ukrainian. The cost of the coal is not much, and providing aide (if the Ukie regime doesn’t pay for it) is not only humane, it sends a message to those Ukrainian people that Russia is not their enemy. And if Russia didn’t send coal, one can bet the zio-media would use that to demonize Russia further to Ukrainians.
2.Crimea gets it’s electricity from the Ukraine. The Ukrainians will use what they can generate for themselves first. IE: Crimea will feel any electrical shortage more than the Ukraine will.
So what looks like Russia being weak or submitting to blackmail is actually Russia making a sensible move.

There is a Jewish Saker blog. It’s called Anonymous at times. It usually distracts and wastes everyone’s efforts to get informed or participate.
It is always centered on persons, not ideas or facts. It never delivers a scintilla of worth.
And besides, what is a Jew? If someone belongs to that grouping they are anything, sometimes born of a Jewish mother, sometimes a convert to Judaism, sometimes from one root, sometimes from another.
Not a race, not an ethnic group, not genetically linked to all of the same grouping.
How would you know what the hell a Jewish Saker should be?
It would be easier to have a Gypsy Saker blog, the Roma peoples at least have some constant genetic connectivity despite their diaspora.

Regarding deliveries of coal “from Russia”:
According to yurasumy’s blog, the coal delivered from Russia originates from the mines of Donbass.
A company was set up to “formalize” coal sales in Russian jurisdiction. By some sleight of hand the vital Donbass coal comes into the possession of the Russian company which then “legally” sells it to Ukraine.
In exchange the freak show pays Hryvnia, which then circulate in LDNR, restoring some kind of life in the new-born republics.
The junta is thus making concessions out of dire need (not brotherly love), but obviously Porky & Co can’t admit publicly that they’re giving money to the “terrorists”.
At the same time it is assumed that various bureaucrats and miscellaneous power brokers along the “supply chain” are getting their “cut” of the “deal”.
That’s yura’s interpretation. Whether you believe it is up to you, but he seems to be a very good analyst: so good that he recently fled Ukraine across the (nearby) border into Russia for his own safety.

Saker,
There are many Jews, myself including, who do not think much of the views expressed in corporate/mass media. They can turn anti-Jewish or pro-Muslim or anti/pro-xyz… at the moment’s notice. That is clear, isn’t it? Lies or truths are not the categories they worry too much about. And I do think that quite a number of Jews are interested enough to find/express views and comments different from the usual ones in MSM.

Sorry guys OFF TOPIC
From Russia beyond headlines
The decision to purchase Mistral helicopter carriers from France was “a mistake of the previous leadership of the Defence Ministry,” Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, who oversees the country’s defence industry, said on Dec. 4, after Paris apparently bowed to Western pressure and canceled the delivery of two Mistral warships to Moscow.
IT SAYS PARIS BOWED TO WESTERN PRESSURE
As long the Russian media call USA is
“Western” the fight is useless

I’m looking forward to the Muslim blog. My only request would be that the Shi’a bloggers have an understanding of the Shi’a Islamic system that exists in the Islamic Republic of Iran. As it is that specific Shi’a Islamic movement/system known as Wilayat al-Faqih that is at the forefront in the struggles. There are some Shi’as who are opposed to Iran, and in the liberal mode pejoratively call it a “theocracy” etc. To be honest, the numbers of such Shi’as are small… only on the internet – and especially on the english speaking spaces do they speak loudly. -Thank you.
@Spiral:
You are raising an interesting point, but here is my problem. What does “being Jewish” mean to you. If it means Zionism, then we don’t have much in common. If it is rabbinical Judaism – same deal. If it is neither, then what is it. What would the “Jews” of a hypothetical “Jewish Saker Blog” have in common? If there even a “Jewish” position on issues XYZ? I fully agree with Atzmon when he says that organizations such as “Jews for peace” make no sense. Not to mention that I don’t even believe in a Jewish ethnicity. Now, if you consider yourself a person which *just happens* to be born in a “Jewish family” then a Jewish blog makes no sense for you since that Jewish identity is really superficial and secondary to many other identities (your place of birth, your education, your religion or lack thereof, your mother tongue, your passport, etc.). When Muslims unite they unite under a specific set of notions (the Prophet, the Quran, the Hadith, a specific school of thought, etc.). But unless you are a Orthodox Judaic or a political Zionist, what do you have in common with other Jews and, more relevantly, what do you have in common with other Jews which would be important enough to unite around it?
Do these questions make sense to you?
I would love to hear your replies to them.
Cheers and kind regards,
The Saker
Once Nazi, today Natoist
Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov on Sunday proposed the creation of a “special regiment” made up from Chechnya’s armed forces to help defend Russia from Western aggression.
Kadyrov said his country stood firmly behind Russian President Vladimir Putin as Europe and the United States waged an “economic war” against Russia.
“For 15 years Vladimir Putin has helped our people! Now we’re asking the Russian leader to consider us as his special regiment of volunteers, ready to defend Russia, its stability and its borders,” Kadyrov said in a speech in Grozny, addressing some 20,000 volunteers who had undergone military training.
“We are Vladimir Putin’s infantry, and everyone had better know that,” the former rebel turned ardent Putin supporter said, just a month after proposing that Chechen army conscripts carry out their military service in the Russian naval base at Sevastopol, located on the Crimean peninsula Russia annexed from Ukraine in March.
Did anyone wonder why both the president and the PM of Ukraine had to be Jewish?
Could it be because of Leaked report: Israel acknowledges Jews in fact Khazars; Secret plan for reverse migration to Ukraine, according to the Times of Israel?
Saker, could u write something about the Kurds in the middle-east. Many people are confused on their role. Their seems to be a split between Iraqi Kurds (who generally are pro-west) and between the Iranian/Syrian/Turkish Kurds who are generally anti-western.
Would be nice to see your thoughts on that subject.

Dear Saker obviously is more tolerant of Islam than Catholicism. Go figure.
@Anonymous: obviously is more tolerant of Islam than Catholicism
It is not a matter of “tolerance”. I have a great deal of respect for one while the other nauseates me by its truly infinite hypocrisy.
Go figure.
Yes. Do that! Go figure that for yourself. Especially begin by studying the history of these religions. Once in college I had some extra credits hours to take and so I took a course on Sharia law. For this course I had to write a paper on an Islam-related topic. I picked “comparing the status of Orthodox Christians in a Muslim and a Roman-Catholic society”. It was an real eye opener. Setting aside the case of the Ottomans – who really were a different breed – Orthodox Christians were FAR better off in a Muslim society then in one run by the Papacy (as were Jews, by the way). And even under the Ottomans the Emperor of Byzantium declared that “better the Turkish turban than the papal tiara”.. Ever wondered why? Why did Saint Alexander Nevsky chose to submit to the Tatars but fight against the Western Teutonic Knights? Because the former wanted only physical submission, the latter demanded a spiritual one.
Yes, in a Muslim society Orthodox Christians were second class citizens, but that second class was a *guaranteed* one. The Papacy has only three options to offer Orthodox Christians: convert, leave or die. It was true in the 10th century as it was in the 20th. 1000 years of systematic and vicious persecutions gives me the right to write about that even if that ruffles somebody’s feathers.
So don’t wonder and study all these facts by yourself.
Cheers,
The Saker
I got a question dear saker.
I was born as an protestant in an western country with parents out of former SSSR, but converted back to Orthodoxy a few monts ago, I read also the Quran but orthodoxy “convinced” me more, its also the origanal religion of my father. I realized that Orthodoxy declined with Czar Peter I who some call the great. And also later under Catherine II. My question is if you could maybe describe these years of real russian Imperialsm, which I really despise, and which role the church played in these times. And also are these stories about patriarch Kirill true? That he’S a puppet of the Catholics? Wouldn’t surprise me…
And thank you for your blog, you really opened my eyes. Slava Rossija, Ukraina(Malorossija) i Novorossija :)
you should listen to the Shaikh mentioned in the announcement.
he has some interesting ideas concerning Russian Orthodoxy and Islam
Anyone know when the legal action on the mistral’s going to take place. Is it 3 months from mid November, so sometime in February?
@Saker
Is there going to be a forum on the new Saker site?
@Sascha: I realized that Orthodoxy declined with Czar Peter I who some call the great. And also later under Catherine II.
yes, most definitely!
My question is if you could maybe describe these years of real russian Imperialsm, which I really despise,
me too!
and which role the church played in these times.
Well, as an institution the Russian Orthodox Church became a tool of the government run by a civil servant (the Ober-Prokuror Sinoda). It completely lost its independence. That is not to say that there were not fantastic people, laypeople, priests or bishops, many were saints, but *as an institution* the Church recovered her independence only in 1917 under the Saint Martyr Czar Nicholas II. And not for very long since less than a decade later the Bolsheviks completely retook control of the Church massacring literally millions of Orthodox people in the process and installing their own trusted agents at the helm of the ROC>
And also are these stories about patriarch Kirill true? That he’S a puppet of the Catholics? Wouldn’t surprise me…
Kirill Gundaev is a long time KGB agent who was in charge of the department of Foreign Affairs of the Moscow Patriarchate for years. He is also a corrupt and rather thuggish individual. It is also a fact that his mentor, “Metropolitan” Nikodim Rotov was a cardinale in pectore or a secret Papist Cardinal. Is that also true of Gundaev? Possibly. I sure heard that rumor from many well informed sources. I think that if the Kremlin wanted Gundaev to embrace Catholicism, or Buddhism, or even the Hare-Krisha he would do that in a blink of an eye. The good news is that unlike Brezhnev, Gorbachev or Eltsin, Putin is not a western puppet and so he does *not* want Gundaev to do any such thing. I don’t think that Gundaev belongs to the Vatican, he is firmly controlled by the Kremlin (Even Rotov was, I am quite sure of that, a double agent for the KGB and the Vatican). The big problem with Gundaev is that he turns people away by his nasty personality and that he is just a spokesman for the Kremlin. Sadly, but the Russian Orthodox Church today is still run by government agents, just as it was during the Soviet times and the Russian Imperial times. There are A LOT of good people inside it, of course, but as an institution it is sick and corrupted and it suffers a great deal as a direct result of that. We have to wait until the old generation of KGB-bishops like Gundaev retire or die and then some real change will take place, but for the time being the situation remains very bleak, especially at the top levels of the Moscow Patriarchate.
Cheers,
The Saker
Thanks for the reply :)
Of course I’m not an expert but it seems like the rurik dynasty was higher or more forward in human, religious,..questions then the romanovs. Apropos czar nikolay II, a friend of mine recently told me that a major point of the murder of the czar family was, that he declined the offer off having an rothschild bank in rossija..we all know that lenin was an traitor financed by Germany, so it wouldn’t wonder me. Could you maybe post an article or website which provides real infos about these events, ancient rossija in general. Also russian article are welcomed. :)
Even if I despise individuals like him and it would be great if they rot in jail, it’s good to see that Putin isn’t using his power to remove all the guys he doesn’t like.
What I also wanted to know, could you maybe write an article of the different russian oblasts, I have you have time of course.
How and when they came to rossija and all. I think many people would like this kind of format.
FOOLS MANAGED TO CREATE A NUCLEAR ACCIDENT/
Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Station had a small “generator” accident, according to the officials. It is 14 over normal radiation, according to DPR.
No.6 has an ill-fitting Westinghouse fuel rods, considered dangerous and not used in any other Soviet-built reactor after failures every time it’s been tried. Issue is, as they raise and lower the rods (to control the fission) the USA rods get bent or caught on the frame and won’t go back down again properly == they cannot scram it or totally turn it off.NOR remove the fuel rods. Nor change them when due.
Damn and blast. So those planeloads of demountables and crates of stuff maybe were NOT armaments. Maybe they were for a nuclear repair team??? Zaporozhye airport they were unloading stuff for 3 days.

New Chernobyl in Zaporozhye: in DNR report radiation leaks at the largest nuclear power plant in Ukraine | Russian Spring
Even now there is a significant excess of the level of radiation in the region of Zaporizhzhya NPP. This is stated in a release sent to “Interfax” reported Deputy Chairman of the National Council of the People’s Republic of Donetsk Denis Pushilin.
“Currently in the area of Zaporizhzhya background radiation exceeds the permissible level of 14 times. According to reports, the main reason for this is to stop November 28 the third power station, which occurred after a failed attempt to replace the core units of Russian-made products to the US company Western house ».
Recall that in late November at the Zaporizhzhya really was an accident. There shut down the third power unit. However, as assured in the Ukrainian “Energoatom”, this event was not “neither nuclear nor any other accident” and did not result in any “radiological consequences.” And today it was reported that at Zaporizhzhya because of damage to the transformer disconnected sixth unit. His promise to launch in a few days.
Pushilin warned that Ukraine’s refusal to cooperate with Russia in the field of nuclear technology may lead to a real catastrophe – the “second Chernobyl in the center of Europe.” He said, the Russian side has repeatedly stated its readiness to continue to supply spare parts for maintenance of Ukrainian NPPs, but Kiev authorities prefer to stop working.

@Spiral,
Goodnight Jewish friend,
I understand that if you claim a Saker Jewish blog is because you have something to say against the state of things, I mean against the AngloZionist empire, and you are commenting that there are more people like you….
I always thought that between Jews and in Israel itself must be normal and decent people who disagree with this state of things. I remember when following the movement of “the indignados” in Spain emerged something like, in Tel Aviv, I think, but did not last long, do not know why.
It would be interesting you come over here and input your views on the matters discussed and what mean you to do. We have no information on what they think the Israelis who are socialist or anti-imperialist. I guess there are and maybe we would be surprised how many. Where are they? Perhaps they are afraid of something?
You can not live in fear
Congratulations Saker, on this wonderful Sheikh to help us. Thank you so much for everything you do.
Saker,
to be inclusive as possible, you should consider also Catholic perspectives.
Pope Francis has spoken to both President Putin and the Russian Christian Orthodox Patriarch, and for his leaning to the left, many in the West consider him “a comunist”.
Happy Orthodox Nativity, and a good 2015! I too think it will be dangerous!
fghanistan opposes military equipment transfer to Ukraine
Today, the United States and NATO’s military mission officially comes to a close – however, US weaponry is going to be transferred to Ukraine During his upcoming visit to the United States, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani intends to convince US President Barack Obama not to transfer the military equipment, left during the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan, to Ukraine, a source in the Afghan presidential administration said. Ashraf Ghani recalled that Washington said that US military equipment would be left for the Afghan army and law enforcement bodies. Now, however, according to information from top Afghan officials, US specialists are preparing US MRAP armored vehicles in Afghanistan for transportation to Ukraine. “Commanders of the US troops in Afghanistan refuse to discuss the issue with representatives of the Afghan government saying this is within the competence of the White House,” the source said. Afghan authorities believe that this stance testifies as to Washington’s “unacceptable neglect of Kabul’s interests amidst the recent intensification of extremist and terrorist group activities in the country.” Today, NATO and US armed forces are completing their military mission aimed to promote security in Afghanistan. Events are planned in the country with the attendance of top Afghan officials and a NATO member state.
US media: Resentment grows in Europe over US policy
Journalist Patrick Smith of the US online magazine Salon.com says a growing number of European politicians refuse to support the United States’ policy on Russia and Ukraine Smith believes that recent statements by certain European leaders, including Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, French President François Hollande, and Danish Foreign Minister Martin Lidegaard, serve as evidence. These politicians, he says, have shown in “one way or the other” that they do not support the US policy of sanctions. The destructiveness of the sanctions policy is already affecting other countries in addition to Russia, he thinks. According to Smith, in 2008 Europe had enough power to deal with economic issues – while now, this power is almost gone. The journalists notes that these issues, including the “chaos” in the currency markets of Russia’s neighboring countries, are being ignored by the US media. Drawing a parallel, Smith recalled the fact President Obama announced his move to lift the sanctions against a “humane and very brave” country, Cuba, saying that the US failed to accomplish the objective of “promoting the emergence of a democratic, prosperous and stable Cuba,” but he imposed sanctions against Russia and signed the Ukraine Freedom Support Act. By signing the “cowardly” Ukraine Freedom Support Act, Obama has again shown his inconsistency and officially given himself “permission to inflict pointless suffering on the humane and very brave Russian people,” the publication writes. According to Smith, it is economically beneficial for the United States to drive a wedge between the EU and Russia by promoting the Ukrainian crisis. He said that the international situation will only get more complicated in 2015, between Europe and Russia or between Europe and the US. The journalist says he very much hopes for the latter, suggesting that chances are things will go that way.

Different points of view on Christmas between Israelis and Hizbullah, from the Daily Star:
“BEIRUT: Hezbollah delegations toured several churches in southern Lebanon Thursday to wish Christians a merry Christmas.
The first delegation, headed by Sheikh Ahmad Mrad, arrived at the Greek ORTHODOX CHURCH in Tyre at the start of their tour, where they offered Christmas greetings to Archimandrite Jack Khalil.
Next, the same delegation visited the Catholic Church. Bishop Michael Abrass thanked the delegation for the well-wishes offered by Hezbollah on Christmas.
“We hope this country would be blessed with more love, harmony and convergence in order to build a nation that expects a lot from us,” Mrad said.
The tour ended at the Maronite Cathedral of Our Lady of the Seas, where Bishop Shukrallah al-Haj thanked Hezbollah for its support “of this church and of this country where a display of Christian-Muslim unity is always seen during joint holidays.”
A second Hezbollah delegation headed by Sheikh Zeid Daher made a similar tour of churches in the southern port city of Sidon.”
Not mentioned in the article is that a third delegation visited the Maronite Catholic Cardinal to wish him a merry Christmas.

Errr…Whaaaat?!?!? WHEN has the mainstream media in the USA turned against Zionism or Israel’s slaughtering of Palestinians? and WHEN have they turned PRO Muslim??!?!?
You mean WE overcame and nobody told us?!?
Hmmm Spiral … your comment has aroused my weasel-snake-in the grass- hasbara -radar and the alarm has gone off reeeeal loud.

Well said Saker- we should all unite!
Muslim, Jew, Christian, Atheist, Agnostic, Pagan, Buddhist, Hindu – all persuasions, belief systems and orientations, why not? it’s always the best way to approach things.
Bigotry and ignorance and conflict can only divide us and let the 1% continue to rape us and the planet.
debate and the free (sometimes vigorous!) exchange of ideas and knowledge can only enlighten, enrich and strengthen us and help us fight back against those who seek to exploit and enslave us.
Some of us can be a bit abrasive (I plead guilty! LOL), some of us may be weak in some areas and strong in others (ALL guilty here I think!:)) but we are all here to help each other aren’t we? :)
I am enjoying this series and look forward to a lot more :)

Not sure if this is what you were looking for, but I recently wrote a policy paper discussing the economic benefits of a Canadian privacy state at contention.ca. If you would like to reprint it, please feel free to contact me through the website.
Concerning your mentioning of Russian Muslims, I could not resist posting this awesome link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C3rl65abQAI , where the new elite unit of 20,000 Chechen Muslim fighters filling an entire stadium pledge allegiance directly to president Putin! In Russian language, but everyone will understand its message. Chechen leader Kadyrov ends his speech by the traditional cry “Alahu akbar!” – Allah is great! Frankly, I could not have imagined something like this ever happening. Putin is an even greater leader than I thought.
@Petar: WOW!! This is an amazing video indeed. I will try to get it translated and subtitled as soon as possible as I want everybody to see it.
Thanks *a lot*!

“and WHEN have they turned PRO Muslim??!?!?”
WHen they supported Bosnian Muslims during destruction of Yugoslavia (1991-1995), as well as when supported Kosovo Albanians (most, but not all, are Muslims)during 1999 war.
Your radar needs tune-up or an upgrade.

Elsi,
Long time ago I was a foreign student (math) in Israel, and don’t live there any longer. Have seen 1973 war and some of its consequences. Things have deteriorated since to such an extent that Israel, I think, will soon become a non viable state, no matter how many technological and scientific advances they make, unless they change politically and economically, and above all rethink their national goals and means. For more info, in depth analysis, and really good writing, I suggest Uri Avnery. Now in his early 90’s, former member of Knesset (parliament), the first politician to negotiate face to face with Yasser Arafat, he speaks directly, minces no words, has sense of humor and paradox, and knows his history. In many ways, he would be ideal for this blog. Israelis publish him in small droplets, but you can find quite a lot of his articles in Counterpunch.com (check him in archives).

Wow, awesome video of Chechen fighters. Yes, I heard the name Vladimir Putin at least three times in the speech.
And they all look so well equipped.
Dear Saker,
I MUST point out Catholicism is the Christian variant of Zionism… A sociopolitical graft, which, unlike Zionism, has had dozens of centuries to spread it’s perversion of christian thought, whereas Zionism has only existed in any real sense since the mid-1800s
As a 3rd gen Bessarabian Khazar Jew in the US I must point out my Grandfather, chased to Europe in the late 1800s by pogroms (by people probably related to those currently in Ukraine’s seat-of-power) then on to Ellis Island’s entry to the US, was a Reform Jew and never gave one thin dime to the Zionists of the 20th century’s invasion of Palestine (Now my father was another story… perhaps Zionism is a generation skipping disease?)
I personally think it’s of major importance that world Jewry (however one cares to define it) is desperate for alternate opinions and worldviews as most of the non-Zionist materials I see tend towards antisemitism in the guise of anti-zionism.
Last word. The illegitimate ‘state of Israel’ fulfills Christian beliefs and I’m sure it must be very confusing for the Muslims of the world to observe Israel, and see people who use all the rituals traditional to Jews, but act culturally like Western Christians.
I really don’t know what to make of the Russian government’s actions lately.I think they are making tragic errors.I see that Navalny was given a 3 and 1/2 year suspended sentence. And has already had to be detained for a short time for ,while under house arrest, going to an anti-government rally in Moscow to spew his treason.Democracy is a wonderful system for a country to follow. As long as you don’t have democracy being used by foreign governments as a cover to destabilize and stage color revolutions using it to cloak their operations behind. We’ve seen the US hide behind democracy to bring down governments all over the world that won’t obey them. And now they are trying that with Russia.I imagine the Chinese government officials are shaking their heads and thinking “what on earth is wrong with the Russian government” that they don’t get that. By letting the US freely destabilize their society we are coming to a time when they will have to use deadly force to save themselves and that will allow the Western propaganda a field day to attack Russia.
As far as I can remember during the Cold War the USSR never tried to destabilize Western countries like the US does other states. They tried to gain influence through Communist Parties or agreements with governments, true. But never worked with various groups for “maidans” and “color revolutions”.If they had there were many targets they could have used (and still could). The civil rights movement in the US was a very tempting target to destabilize the US.Working with “white power militia” groups,or immigrant rights groups.Doing as the US does and playing both sides to cause havoc.Yet they didn’t do that. And I know for a fact the Chinese don’t do that.Didn’t then ,nor now.But that is the US and their stooges MO in different countries. And just letting it happen makes a Ukraine scenario a certainty.Russia and Russians need to wake up before its too late to avoid real violence.
Uncle Bob
As much and even more than the US,Israel needs to turn into a “normal” country if it hopes to survive at all.It was reported today that by 2016 Palestinians will outnumber Jewish Israelis in the area of pre-war Palestine. There aren’t many choices left for Israeli Jews. They can make the right move and negotiate a one state solution.Where,as like in Belgium you have a dedicated area for each ethnic group with Jerusalem as a common capital(in Belgium a Flemish and Walloon region. With Brussels as a Federal Capital open to both).Or on the downside, they can try for ethnic cleansing and genocide to hold power. Thus guaranteeing that Israel will cease to exist in the ME.With the rise of Russia,China, and the multi-polar World. The future World won’t stand by and let that happen. They will end Israel forever as a country if they try that. But with their previous behavior I’m not hopeful there are enough sane Israelis to see what they need to do,and the courage and goodwill to do it.

re: Jewish Blog
I follow a US blog called “Real Jew News” realjewnews.com which is led by a former rabbi turned Orthodox Christian – here is his intro:
My Name Is Brother Nathanael Kapner
I’m A “Street Evangelist”
I Grew Up As A Jew
I’m Now An Orthodox Christian
I Wish To Warn How Jewry
Is Destroying Christianity Throughout The World
“
IMO this blog is very close to the central idea of the vineyard.
@Spiral,
The NORTH American mainstream is very Pro- Jewish/Zionist , very Pro- Israel.
Spare me me your Zionist hasbara , be it be liberal or not.
My radar works perfectly well, ( don’t worry your Zionist little head) I constantly see Muslims demonized in USA & Israel.
And Zionist Israel lauded with much fanfare in the USA. I noticed you mentioned nothing about the pro Zionist views in the American MSM…trying to keep a low profile, eh?
You do not fool me one iota, I will not be “spiraling” down to any Zionist hasbaric well.
FREE PALESTINE!
@Carmel by the Sea
Soooo…YOu’re saying an alternative voice is worthless? That it’s ‘Kismet’ that Americans are pro-Israel and not the result of over a half century of disinformation? A half century I should add that DID NOT, for most of it, have alternative globally available media like the internet available?
Not so Fast @NotSoFast:
“The clergymen and laity of the Russian Church Abroad are hereby informed that the actions of Nathanael (Kapner) do not have the blessing of …”
The guy’s a nutjob.
http://www.johnsanidopoulos.com/2013/07/rocor-statement-on-brother-nathanael.html
@EVERYBODY: “Brother” Nathanael Kapner is mentally ill. Ignore anything and everything he might say.
The Saker
Not all Jews are Zionist, and peddling hate, prejudice and misinformed paranoia helps nobody.
Also by doing this you are actually doing what the elites want – sowing division and confusion – is that what you want ?
btw – I am not Jewish or a Zionist, but I do know the difference.
@ Spiral said 30 December, 2014 08:43,
Uri Avnery sounds like to see an article of his in Rebellion, but I really do not know.
I found this interview that, although 2005, makes clear, I think, his posture. It seems he is left and with his wife leads a movement for peace called Gush Shalom. They are in favor of withdrawal from all occupied territories and the two-state solution. But I see he has already 91 years! and, as he says in this interview, the left and the peace movement in Israel are as found in the whole world (except the last revivals in Southern Europe, Spain and Greece), without ideologies and demobilized.
Are you and your friends with him? You could pick up the baton and move on with the fight. We must fight a lot, all the time, if we want to live in a peaceful world.
Do not be discouraged if you’re not welcome here. If you come with good intentions, through dialogue, justice, peace and freedom for all people, I do not think there’s any problem, people will accept and appreciate you, you’ll see. You bring us interesting links for people to see that also in Israel and the Jewish Diaspora, also thaere are people fighting. Undeterred!
I put the link to the interview for who, like me, are interested in hearing something different about Israel that generates some hope, can read it. It’s in Spanish, but surely you can translate with Yandex or Google.
All if it is well for our host, of course, because it is his blog:

I do not know almost nothing about Jews, and I do not know if you celebrate the new year… if so you have Happy New Year and that the peace we crave was possible.
@Spiral,
Thanks for the reference to Uri Avnery, I think I’ll learn a lot about Israel that I did not know.
I found another article on the Russian immigrants, very interesting.
It seems an open, conciliatory man and do not lacks a sense of humor:
