Politicians of every stripe, are seldom knowledgeable about economics. Only the very best economists know what’s going on in the Heartland of the US Financial System.
What’s happened to that System is that over the past few decades the wealthy businesses: monopolies, Big Banks, Big Corporations and the wealthy in Real Estate have made immense profits on Wall Street, leaving the US society in a Debt Trap to the tune of nearly $15 Billion Dollars.

The US Dollar System has purposely undermined African, Latin American, Indonesian and Middle Eastern nations with IMF Loans/The World Bank. All those loans by the US have caused immense Debt, for those nations.
The US Financial System provides Billions of free $$s for the wealthy who have turned into Multi-Billionaires.
This is why non-Western nations are trying to remove themselves from the US Financial Bondage.

Darn and all this time I thought our national debt was 31 TRILLION? Whats a few trillion to an assortment of third world nations?

Of course 26 trillion dollars of this is owed to ourselves, which means we will take it out of our left pocket and return it to the one on the right. Or as the Bard would say, “much ado about nothing.”

By the way the US has always met its principal and interest payments on time and in full, which is rather much better than the assortment of basket cases you referred to in your letter.

If you wish the US and its allies to stop lending money to you folks, I can assure you a vast majority of Americans and European taxpayers would be more than happy to oblige. I am sure your thriftyness wouldn’t last too long.

. . . . let’s not forget the $300+ trillion in underfunded and unfunded liabilities, such as the pension-funds.

When the cops and the like, who think they’re sitting on a tidy retirement nest-egg realise the cookie-jar is empty and they’ll only receive 1/3rd of expectations, not the $60-$100k per annum, the Capital Hill demonstration will look like a girl-guides picnic.

Trust me, the US has been stockpiling lead for 2 decades in anticipation of domestic civil unrest. That lead would be on its way to the Kiev regime in a heartbeat if not for such expected fears. Also goes to prove therefore, their acknowledgement of being on borrowed time.

Correct but that is a different issue. Still a very relevant one. I withdrew my retirement chunk that I had in a western state pension fund many years ago.

USMC Scott Ritter’s been there done that (see the CV!), including in Iran, Iraq, USSR.

The complete interview with Scott Ritter – Declaring Independence
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9Z1ls62oNU

How democracy is subverted from someone right there. How to deal with it from someone right there.

Worldwide everyone needs to see this , as the USA threatens the world right now.

As someone recently remarked, who has been there, done that – a collapsing USA will not go quietly like Honecker’s DDR, or the USSR.

By the way, the German DDR holds the world record for complete Regine change without a single bullet fired!

We love our Scotty Boy! To be honest though I think the second amendment and a re-discovery and re-commitment to Federalism will spare the USA from the worst aspects of civil unrest. Many States and even counties/urban areas are beginning to stand up to the Federal Government overreach in everything from medical care, climate change, and other powers traditionally reserved for those lower levels.

“…a collapsing USA will not go quietly like Honecker’s DDR, or the USSR.”

Multicultural, multiconfesional, multiracial population, armed to the teeth. With an astronomical wages gap, and elite high above the law.

Nope…definitely it won’t go quietly in the dark.

Iran hit Iraqi Kurds with missiles and drones recently. The Kurds in both Iraq and Syria have been working with Mossad, CIA, MI6 to destabilize Iraq, Syria, Turkey and Iran.

As Iran said, we’re not Libya or Iraq.

Much like the Anglo-Zionist West are fearful of Russia, Iran would easily be the next country where Neo-cons/Zionists fear to tread. Instead, it’s proxy provocations from a distance, like hit and run bandits.

The debt is in derivatives at $1 quadrillion on top of the $31 – $50 trillion of stolen currencies according to numerous financial experts that do know the business. There is a generation of us that are expecting a major punch in the gut that will take the USA and the world into a downward financial spiral in 2023.

The vast majority of derivatives, because of their very nature and INTENTION, expire worthless. For example, a fire insurance policy—the value of which is determined by whether the house burns down or not—is a derivative by its very nature.

So a homeowner, whose house did not burn down at the end of the year, is going to complain? HIs derivative expired worthless. Perhaps he should burn his house down and collect the premium. That would make them happy.

99% of stock options expire worthless—once a day, others once a week, most once a month. Who cares?

The vast majority of derivatives—both examples above– REDUCE RISK. That is a very valuable economic function, which explains their widespread use.

        Thank you Gary,
However my opinion differs a bit since the 2008 financial crisis was primarily caused by derivatives in the mortgage market. The issues with derivatives arise when investors hold too many, being overleveraged, and are not able to meet margin calls if the value of the derivative moves against them just like it would today.

True but your argument is that TOO MANY, not derivatives themselves, are the problem. One can say this about many things, be it food, or drink, or sloth. Our federal government, and Federal reserve, have set bad precedents in many of the last few decades by bailing out corporations and wealthy investment groups which should have been allowed to go under as a penalty for their overleveraging. The more they do this, the greater the problem becomes.

Hi, I appreciate in general the words of the Ayatollah and prime minister or president. Here, my comment is that the apparent failures are just apparent. Chaos has been created. Success. End of mission. Next.
Feeding chaos is then kind of manageable… and profitable of course.
As it has been said, Ukraine, no matter the new form it takes will be a wound infected with hatred for a long time on Russia ´side (even if Russia did and is doing « the right thing »). Also, there will be a next European country on the list to burst like an abscess with puss, maybe Poland, or one of the other bordering countries.
Maybe U.S is waiting for NATO to disintegrate and then pursue further its chaos-spreading without being obliged to join. Almost undoubtedly there will be soon lots of violence all over European countries. Terrorism is (and has been for quite a while) the U.S modus operandi. Israël is being quiet…
The cabalistic project to speed up « the coming » of the messiah and the rule of the chosen people over the world is still on the menu, I guess.
    Who knows.
It is quite abject, that much I know.
Not easy to face that dark stuff, especially because not only we are in that system but the system is in us. Not easy to feel those negative emotions without identifying, justifying and all that shame wrap.
I wish ourselves to be kind and true, in touch with Source.
    Be well.
PS: about Iran, Russia, Israël and turkey, it seems that they have in common the hot spot that is the conflict between Ouzbékistan and Arménie.

The decadence of the U.S empire is to be celebrated but the globalism behind might still survive as a shrunken version applied to the west. A good point that Brandon Smith makes is that Marx, communism, fascism have a lot in common, in one word, socialism, and it could very well be that smaller scale « great reset ».
Yet, war will go on, inside and outside the country. Inside and outside of ourselves?
Time to activate the vagus nerve and go to bed… get ready for a brand new day in the best shape I can, and see the beauty of nature.

He is completely correct but Iran needs to feel sorry for the US people because they are hostage of evil forces – external forces – who have caused this decline.

If US operated correctly, it wouldnt be involved ventures outside its territorial boundaries unless their direct interests are at risk.

Same with ordinary people in EU.

The US has gone down the tubes as they say since the 1950s.
    Lost its way.
    And its very sad.

Of course Ayatollah Ali Khameni is correct, but what he says is also quite an understatement – he is being diplomatic which is right & proper for a person in his position, he is being wise, as expected. But the US is more than declining, the US is imploding – & it is managing, or mismanaging its implosion in such a way that it is taking the entire western hemisphere with it. If that wasn’t enough, the self-destructive course the US as irreversibly taken, is so devastating from many aspects, that this is not just a national collapse, it is a civilizational collapse, which is much, much worse. None of us can say with certainty what will happen, but I am absolutely convinced that the US is heading for very severe bloodshed, I’m not talking gangbangers shooting each other up in Chicago or LA’s Watts or Compton, we’re talking Syrian style bloodshed. We will see, I do not wish that on the US or on anyone, but it has nothing to do with me or what I would like to see. On that score, I would hope Putin was successful in trying to arrange as orderly a transition of the world order as can be managed, but Putin can not decide for the US what it will do to itself, & what it is doing is actively, consciously, tearing itself apart.

The United States and the collective West are in decline. But that is what makes America in particular and the West in general a clear and present threat.

A wounded beast is a most dangerous beast.

And the American beast believes the only way to slow or halt this decline is: WAR.

Will the Americans give up on their Manifest Destiny to rule the world—under the pretext of “defending Freedom and Democracy”—and accept that they are merely one nation among a diversity of nations, civilizations, and political and socio-economic systems?

    Not a chance in Hell.

In their essence, the Americans and West in general are Christian-style Crusaders, who believe they are God’s Chosen People (remind you of a certain country in the Middle East?) And thus they and their way of life alone are morally superior to all.

The American/Western Way is God’s Way.

Accept this–or be bombed back to the Stone Age.

    There Is No Alternative.

The Americans and their allies just might go for the Sampson Option and take down the entire world, as the American Axis plunges further into the abyss.

The ROW (Rest of the World) must understand this and prepare….

Decline of the U.S., the West; Breaking news! Saudi Arabia just beat Argentina in the World cup. OMG.
Ok, a little off topic here, but this is an earth shaking event. The rise of Asia right in the heart of the West’s most sacred institution.
