by Ghassan Kadi for the Saker blog
In his article (http://sakerlatam.blog/the-saker-files/listening-to-russian-experts-short-report-about-the-mood-on-russian-prime-time-tv/), The Saker relayed the mood of Russian experts regarding the recent Western acts of brazen intimidations and unsubstantiated allegations against Russia.
According to this analysis, some Russians seem to see that war with America, even a full-scale war, is inevitable.
And just a few weeks ago, President Putin made his historic 1st of March speech in which he demonstrated Russia’s readiness to defend herself with state-of-the-art hypersonic weapons, the likes of which America is perhaps decades away from being able to develop.
March 2018 has indeed been a tumultuous month, and in my article (http://sakerlatam.blog/the-saker-files/how-far-can-the-americans-be-pushed/) I presented my personal take on what constitutes for America a national and existential threat.
Yet, even with Putin’s powerful speech, Western powers continue to flex their muscles and continue to resort to fabrications that serve their interests. None has been stronger recently than the poisoning of Skripal and the alleged Russian involvement plus the alleged chemical attack on East Ghouta by the Syrian army.
For the benefit of readers who are not aware of certain facts, none of the above allegations have any evidence to support them. Furthermore, neither Russia nor Syria have anything to gain from either action had they been responsible.
As usual, just as in the case of previous alleged chemical attacks in Syria, America huffs and puffs and makes threats of military action.
But the current huffing and puffing is the first of its kind since Putin’s 1st of March speech. Does this make it any different from other threats to attack Syria? It does indeed. To begin with, and unlike what happened back in September 2013 after the first alleged chemical attack and American threats, this time, Russia is issuing stern warnings against any foolish American intervention
https://sputniknews.com/middleeast/201804081063336939-moscow-intervention-syria-unacceptable/
One thing that the Russian experts mentioned above agree to is that there is no point in reasoning with the West, because the West is intent to lie and deceive. They also agree that there is little left that America can do to change the course of events in Syria.
So what are the Western objectives of the escalations in Syria? It is hard to make any rational conclusion, because the West is acting quite irrationally, but these are the main possible scenarios that are probably on the table of Western policy makers:
- Test Russia’s resolve and military capability. Some Western lawmakers expressed doubt after Putin’s speech and reiterated that he was bluffing.
- Prolong the period of chaos in the hope that time brings about a miracle that favours Western interests.
- The West can well be bluffing and wants to keep Syria and Russia on their toes.
- The West can be indeed short-sighted and stupid enough to drag itself into a serious direct military confrontation with Russia.
Not knowing what America seeks in its foolish actions, the onus is on Russia to be both prepared and wise, but this is not an easy ask and task.
Russia’s response no doubt is contingent upon her military prowess which is a well-kept secret that none of us can claim to be privy to. But the 1st of March speech given by Putin would not have been made if Russia was not prepared militarily. For some Western sceptics to think that Putin was bluffing is not surprising, because they judge others by their own ethos. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-03-02/is-vladimir-putin-bluffing-on-nuclear-weapons/9502240 But this is not to say that the Putin speech is to be taken literally as an exact description of Russia’s military capabilities; especially in terms of advanced weapons that give her the upper hand. So the truth is that we don’t know what Russia has over and above what Putin revealed in his historic speech.
So what are Russia’s options really?
For Russia to allow herself to be dragged into a large-scale confrontation with America in the Mediterranean would be very unwise. Not only this can lead to a wider full-on confrontation between the two superpowers, but this will also give America a bigger justification to escalate its presence in Syria and attack on Syrian targets.
Yet, for Russia to sit idle if America were to attack Syrian targets will only reflect a sign of weakness and will also encourage America to further escalate.
Russia is certainly in a damned-if-you-do-and-damned-if-you-don’t situation in that regard, bcause she is dealing with a mindless psychopathic war machine with decades long history of creating mayhem and chaos.
Russia’s response must be measured, because even if Russia is able to achieve local victory over America in Syria, this victory risks further escalations elsewhere. It would far wiser for Russia therefore to serve America with a milder, yet powerful and humiliating defeat, instead.
The first rational line of action for Russia should be to intercept American missiles; without targeting their launch pads.
If America finds that Russia’s defence systems are turning their Tomahawks merely into fireworks that light up the skies, they may then pull back humiliated. If they don’t pull back and continue to escalate, Russia can respond accordingly in a simultaneous, graduating manner. Russia could even strategically escalate when appropriate with actions such as hitting virtual targets in the Mediterranean, just a few hundred meters away from US Navy ships, signalling a message that their naval vessels are defenceless sitting ducks. If this is still not enough to show America who has the upper hand, Russia may use her highly controversial electronic jamming weapons in order to disable warships, fighter jets and guided missiles.
Under no circumstances should Russia be the first nation to draw blood with America, but should America opt to attack Russian forces in Syria, Russia will have all the right to self-defend and return fire with fire that targets its origins.
The measured response that Russia ought to adopt must be extremely humiliating for America, and one that cannot be hidden or sugar-coated by its recipient and its huge media army. The ultimate humiliation would be in electronically disabling an American naval ship and towing it into the Russian naval base in Tartous in Syria. In saying this, I do not profess to know if this is possible, but I am only using this example to elaborate what can be seen as ultimate humiliation.
The bottom line here is that Western thuggery and bullishness must be stopped. Russia must use what is within her power to juggle a wise and decisive response to Western foolhardiness. To this effect, Russia is not standing alone this time. During his visits to Russia in early April, the Chinese defence chief has said that his visit aims to signal to America that China stands with Russia. He specifically named America. This is an unprecedented endorsement from America’s main economic rival and rising super power.
Furthermore, China has recently warned the West against taking action in Syria in response to the alleged chemical weapons pretext before a proper investigation is done.
https://www.rt.com/news/423745-china-syria-military-escalation-douma/
Any whichever way one looks at it, the bottom line is this. The West is losing both its grip and marbles. As a result, it has lost both its integrity and rationality. In the absence of a major conflict, as every last opportunity to conjure up pretexts for attacking Syria fades, the West grows increasingly desperate, knowing time is no longer on its side. And yet, it feels obligated to do something to save face and save the situation. On the other hand, the Eurasian alliance knows that time is on its side. It does not need a military confrontation to regain any grip of influence it has lost. What it needs is more peace time for it to develop itself further and gain more edge. We often speak of the Silk Road project, but it is in fact a network of roads that China intends to build in order to connect itself with Europe and the Middle East, and this will not only serve its business interests, but also its standing as a world power. And, as this vast untraveled region of the world suddenly has major highways running through it, the whole area from as far as Eastern China to Azerbaijan, Southern Russia, possibly Georgia and Armenia, will open up to the rest of the world, and their economies will boom, including their tourism sectors. So as the West is hell-bent on destruction and creating havoc, the Eurasian alliance is working hard on building bridges.
The irony here is that the West does not have a clear and potentially winning plan if it were to take the military option in Syria. This is why Russia, joined by China, must find a way to serve the West with the right and measured blow that will kick the West with a painful blow in the guts instead of giving it a total knockout.
From PCR:
All Russia has to do to insure that the US has no choice but to accept instant defeat is to put Russian nuclear forces on red alert. Any resort by the idiots in Washington of a nuclear nature would mean the end of the United States and all of Western Europe along with the UK. It would mean the total end of the West for all time, an event the rest of the world would consider to be a good thing. Hopefully the US military, the last and constantly besieged source of honor in the US, understands this and would not comply with a suicidal order from an insane war cabinet.
In my opinion the Russians will not go so far and will deny themselves a decisive victory, because they do not comprehend the total evil that is concentrated in Washington and Israel. There are enough naive Atlanticist Integrationists left in the Russian government to argue that Russia must give Washington and Europe one more chance to come to their senses. One more chance is what Russia and the world cannot afford.
There is scant possibility that Washington and Israel will ever come to any sense other than hegemony. If Washington had any sense, Washington would not be sending warships to attack Syria, or Iran in order to evade the Russian prohibition on attacking Syria(…)

I appreciate how PCR expresses the moral and spiritual dimension of this existential crisis. The West, its ruling elites and tragically large numbers of its ‘citizens’ are, indeed, irredeemably Evil. It will be a miracle if we are all alive in ten, or even one, year(s). These creatures are, at base, Death-worshipers. Thanatos reigns in their hearts and psyches.
The buffoon Trump has given his twitter reply to Russia:
https://sputniknews.com/world/201804111063437051-trump-us-russia-syria/
“….Russia vows to shoot down any and all missiles fired at Syria. Get ready Russia, because they will be coming, nice and new and “smart!…..”
Russian Foreign Ministry’s spokeswoman Maria Zakharova replies:
“Smart missiles must strike terrorists, not the legitimate government that has been fighting international terrorism on its territory for several years,”
The madness continues……the US doesn’t care – the UK/France are now getting cold feet and wanting more evidence – so Australia is backing the US…….
https://sputniknews.com/middleeast/201804111063438066-australia-us-strike-syria/
Micron’s Zionazi owners pulled their dupe into line, pronto, and now he’s lying that he has ‘proof’ of Assad’s perfidy. My arse he does.
“All Russia has to do to insure that the US has no choice but to accept instant defeat is to put Russian nuclear forces on red alert.”
I fully agree with Paul. Probably the most effective/shocking way to prevent degenerate empire from doing something silly in Syria.
At the end, what is the point of having RS-28 Sarmat if you are not going to use it as a deterrent at right time.
And time is more than right. Russian’s response must be as powerful, shocking and threatening as possible.
Ghassan said: “Russia’s response must be measured, because even if Russia is able to achieve local victory over America in Syria, this victory risks further escalations elsewhere. It would far wiser for Russia therefore to serve America with a milder, yet powerful and humiliating defeat, instead.”
So slap the Empire but not too hard to hurt it too much. That is absolute nonsense. The empire only understand and respect a full brute. The slap has to be so hard, it should ring in the head for a long time.
A nuclear confrontation would be the end of all of us, not just Europe and US. Radioactive clouds don’t recognize national borders. I agree that the west needs to be given a seriously bloody nose, but nuclear weapons or the threat of using them will not achieve anything.
Besides, frying millions of innocent civilians would be criminal, regardless of them being stupid brainwashed sheep.
PCR is does tend to see the worst case scenario in high probability terms. I’m a little more optimistic.
However, it is starting to look like the Americans have sold the Russians enough rope to hang themselves with.
They be dammed if they do; and if they don’t. So why react now?
Take some useful target practice and intel on the incoming; hopefully assist the wounded; keep Assad out of danger; and let the Chinese rebuild the ruins etc.
Get ready for the World Game in mid-year.
I’m not always sure of PCR’s motives, but I have noticed a similar thing when watching Russia tv and speaking with Russians. Recently, a Russian tv commentator depicted the anglo-american empire as he is. The hosts said we need more optimism. They didn’t give a reason, just felt the need. They really don’t understand evil. Some of them do. Dostoyevsky’s Demons depicts an evil character and few excuses are generated for him.
In general, the Russians have a hard time equating a Hillary Clinton with a house fire burning up a family, a child drowning, a chain saw murderer or a vampire. They think she or Jon Bolton or the Soros Russian (see recent interview with A. Dugin and an RT-CIA Russian), or whoever is just some politician with a different world view. That’s not what they are. They don’t have interests in the way an Erodjan or a Xi does. They idolize their appetites, the greatest of which is the power they feel when destroying anything weaker (anything; you, me, a tree, a bee, the squirrel they speed up to run over while driving).
It’s not our place to judge diplomats like Lavrov. His job is diplomacy. But the regular Russian needs to wake the f’ up. Haley called Assad a monster. But months ago, it should have been common to know her as a monster. Her face should have spelled monster at least 6 months ago. Russians can’t leave themselves always reacting. The defensive position can’t always be taken, even if it is absolutely necessary on occasion.
Those of us living and growing up in north america who have bothered to study the problem know what we’re saying. We hear the Russians, Europeans, Africans, Asians, and are dumbfounded by how naive they are. Sometimes they seem clueless. Lots of Spanish speaking Americans get it but boy, the rest of the world is on Sesame street.

There is a mix everywhere… of those who are awake and those who insist on blissful ignorance… the tendency to fall for the ‘blind tribal obedience syndrome’ is not inherently American, Russian, European, or Asian for that matter… this is a facet of the human nature… which is frankly speaking pathetic yet undeniable… just yesterday, I had an American lamenting upon the ignorance of a vast majority of Americans… so there you go… the point is we can only share the truth… even if we are able to stir something in one single person, it is worth it… isn’t it?
hope that works. if Russia takes out North America My family and i are toast. i would like to see the end of america myself..and indeed i have accepted that more than likely fact that we are here all toast if it starts. but if there is any decent chance at all the above plan works by all means
here is Paul Craig Roberts:
https://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2018/04/10/last-days-hell-breaks-loose/
Ben: here’s the paradox. In my estimation America is a cancer that must be excised before it kills the world; on the other hand, the few American people I know are good people, without exception (maybe a little loud). What went wrong?
@What went wrong?
‘The City upon a Hill’, ‘The Manifest Destiny’, ‘The Exceptional and indispensable nation’ mentality that all ‘good Americans’ share, even if not ‘loudly’.
I believe the only real and meaningful response Russia can give to the Anglozionist psychopaths that they will be unable to understand is a demonstration of their ability to counter an offensive.
If Russia were to mobilize all anti-air assets in Syria, while unable to block all missiles, deflect enough to demonstrate to the world that the US military isn’t invincible. The greater success Russia has here, the harder the slap. If by some miracle not a single missile reached its destination, that would shatter NATO’s largely fictional invulnerability.
Unlike the 38 missing missiles from the last missile strike, Russia should make it very clear to the world what happened, and what it means.
If no American missiles hit their targets, we won’t hear about any having been fired.
they can’t deflect then all
they must hit the platforms hard all platforms
why?
because it sends shockwaves home to America
and these platforms can never be used again
they need to build new ones whick they would anyway
but they’re out of the equation
fonz on happy days was tough
why?
because nobody ever saw him fight..
when you hit the USA hard you’ll make her bleed.. up on stage Infront of everybody
This makes the USA human
in the movie ‘ the predator’ ‘if it bleeds you can kill it’
that’s the beginning of the end for the Empire
sharks will be circling!
this is crazy by the USA for Israel
problem for the USA is it picks fights against the unarmed
as does israel)
Russia isn’t a push over
Trump will be remembered in history by cockroaches or the rest of the world as the most stupid leader ever!
he won’t survive to 2020 ether way if he goes ahead with this
Note that hitting the platforms is a necessity. The air defenses have limited capacity (and stock of missiles).
If they exhaust the stock against the first wave, they will be vulnerable to the second wave. I am afraid the Russians will have no option but to deliver on the promise (missiles and platforms)
“The ultimate humiliation would be in electronically disabling an American naval ship and towing it into the Russian naval base in Tartous in Syria.”
A fanciful notion would be to crazy glue those missile hatches permanently shut and then tow it to port.
As part of the ransom for return, Trump would have to shave his head and the bully Bolton thug would have to shave his ‘walrus’ moustache off.
May and BOJO and that porcelain sous-brat would get tarred and feathered and put on display from Big Ben.
If China’s silk road plan, and the economy of Russia, both, could be made to work without fossil fuels, I would agree that the alternative to military destruction looks rosy.
ALL economies MUST work without fossil fuels, as soon as possible, or it’s ‘exeunt omnes’ for humanity.
ere are a few warning shots that do not actually strike US or AZ assets but offering sobering opportunities for reflection:
A Russkie Father of All Bombs blast 3 miles off the beam of the USS Donald Duck–calculated for maximum effect but no physical injury, other than a mother of a wave.
Kinzhal strike at the very end of the runway that Israel used for its latest strike. Again, massive mach 20 striking effect but ideally no loss of life–just a massive crater.
Satan 2 laying down 150 separate missiles across the path of the carrier group in mid-Atlantic. Again, targeting to miss by a few miles but essentially turning the path ahead into pure chaos.
This is the creative Black Sea freakout strategy employed against the Donald Cook last year, but writ a little larger.
Paul, I suggest you slow down and take a breath. It will help.
Russia is immensely over matched in conventional forces, at least quantitatively. The US has several hundred missiles to burn, Russia has far fewer S400s. The closest thing to a winning strategy they have is exactly the policy which has been clearly stated in public. If NATO sends planes and missiles, Russia must immediately (launch on warning) attack the launch sites (on land and water) of the planes and missiles. Ships, subs, air bases, all must go. Include France, Britain, and Israeli assets. Use tactical nukes if necessary. Hand NATO an overwhelming tactical defeat. Your move, Satanists …
At this point, the Satanists get to choose whether to surrender their hegemony or a strategic response (which they have been dreaming of since Curtis LeMay was in charge). The point of Putin’s March 1st speech is, the strategic response won’t work out well for the West. Yes, the wannabe demons in Washington might decide to burn the world down anyway. But, if they have gone so far past identifying with humanity as to want to do that, a full nuclear exchange is inevitable. Better to have it now when Russia has a TEMPORARY strategic advantage than give the west time to catch up.
Yes, this is a very dismal reading of the cards, but I believe it to be accurate. Where is the hope? The hope is that enough of the western elites want to keep on living to stay their hand. Is it a fool’s hope? Maybe. But if Satan worshiping madmen are determined to either rule the world – making it a hell on earth – or burn it to a cinder, there is no hope but for whatever fate awaits our immortal souls.
“A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day – Aragorn” Do not cower, men of Christendom, mother Russia, our last hope.
No nukes. It’s critical that RF not be the first to use them, and not use them at all unless facing an existential threat. Happily, they don’t have to. It would be trivially easy for them to sink the entire group of NATO naval forces in the Mediterranean, and there’s literally nothing NATO can do about it. Invade Kaliningrad? Haha LOL right. As has been pointed out by many experts lately, Kinzhal and Zircon change everything. They have made Naval Warfare obsolete. I think this is, overall, a good thing.
I don’t believe that Russia is outmatched in any way, except the navy, and that’s assuming that numbers alone confer any advantage (which I also don’t believe). If you recall the NATOs advertising of few years back about 4 super-duper-ready-on-short-notice battalions, one of the Russian generals commented that they are a problem wich can be solved “with 4 missiles”.
Don’t forget that US’ weapons are made by private companies who charge exorbitant ever-increasing prices, while Russia’s weapon manufacturers are all publicly owned. Money goes far further in Russia than in US. If Russians have to destroy a $45 million plane with a couple of $40,000 missiles, whose wallet you think will last longer?
Don’t forget bombing of Yugoslavia. Serbs caused a lot of headache to NATO in those 78 days, using 35-year old AA systems. You think Russians weren’t watching?
Also, don’t forget that Russia inherited 75 years of Soviet Union’s expertise in keeping their mouth shut. In my travels there, I’ve seen an unguarded military car park right in the middle of a city. Why would they show it so openly to the US’ satellites? To keep the enemy busy thinking what you want them to think and looking where you want them to look. I’ve also seen a S300 battery right next to a major road, with hundreds of busses passing every day. Well, if 1 battery is so visible, you can be sure there are another 4 well hidden. Good luck planning your attack counting to defeat only that 1 you can clearly see. Etc.
Mikie, I would like to add, that Russians just like the Serbs during the last war in Yugoslavia are famous for using decoys. Many Nato bombs ended up blowing up cardboard “tanks” and other “valuable” assets, while Serbs were laughing in their bunkers.
I remember an article about a Russian manufacturer of children’s bouncy houses, and near the bottom of the article was an admission that about 80% of their business was making blow-up decoys of tanks, planes, and missiles for the Russian military.
I think what is important is not what russia Said it hv, but all what is still secret
The American people will finally pay attention when their handheld electronic devices and pay TV subscription services are no longer able to receive entertainment and news programming when Russia and China activate their LEO satellite-killer systems. Russia and China must do this first before anything else otherwise the U.S. will think nothing serious is going to happen to them.
Knocking out the satellites not only means the MSM news cannot broadcast Washington, DC propaganda, they won’t be able to communicate at all. That is how to get the attention of the U.S.cretins that believe they are safe from the horrors of war.
Yours would probably the most effective way for Russia to deliver a blow against Washington, sobering it up and slowing down further escalation but stopping short of inflicting so much damage that America would launch the full force of its nuclear arsenal. Russia might not even have to target all the individual satellites, just paralyse them AND the power grid with an electromagnetic pulse from one high altitude nuclear detonation. Of course, Washington would return the favor, but the exceptional people would no longer be sitting in front of their TV’s eating their proverbial popcorn whilst the war results flicker across their screens on CNN and MSNBC. They would be in the dark, eating cold canned beans and scared shitless. War fever would quickly be over. Congress would be in the same boat and, if they don’t all have shit for brains, they’d push for an armistice with Russia rather than a full nuclear exchange. Of course, if the deep state would rather perish than lose face, it will be launch ’em all or lose ’em all for both sides, making even the cockroaches losers in the long run. I think only critters like Deinococcus radiodurans and perhaps a few Clostridium species will be left to rebuild the biosphere.
i can’t believe the Israeli Zionists would think their Jewish homeland is secure from total destruction. They must know their “Iron Dome” anti-missile batteries will fail to protect them. Israel has been feeding the Washington, DC war mongers with bribes for so long and now they won’t be able to stop the beast they helped create.
as usual from the Saker, an EXCELLENT and intelligent article that says it how it is. No sane or rational person wants war, especially nuclear war. There is another side of all of this. Both the US and Russia have black ops secret space program and have had since the mid 80’s where they deployed Aurora Space vehicles (Mach 40 capable) and deployed these in a joint effort to a threat from off this world. These vehicles are still around and it is interesting that they are not brought out to deploy for war. The apparent real reason for the Americans being in Syria has to do with three star gates that (apparently have been shut down for the moment) and this is the real goal of the US to regain control of these. That was also the reason for the Iraq invasion to get control of the star gate(s) in Iraq. Anyway these are certainly interesting times and each one of us chose to be born and be here to see it all come together. I admire Vlad Putin as a great leader, very patient and intelligent and capable. I do not think that all of this will go to an all out nuclear war just yet. There are some strategic events yet to occur but if the USA had any decency they should withdraw from All their overseas bases and focus on repairing their own country and mind their own business. Who or what gave them the right to be the world policeman or dictator of events in the world? Interesting times indeed. Luckily one side has some sanity and some intelligence unlike what we have seen recently with the Scripal affair and these (now) two concocted stories of chemical weapons. What about the captured military personnel and captured ordnance with made in England (Porton Downs) and made in Germany chemical weapons? See Nexus news feed Evidence USA-UK framed Syria for chemical attacks yet again GEOPOLITICS 9/04/2018 https://nexusnewsfeed.com/article/geopolitics/evidence-usa-uk-framed-syria-for-chemical-attacks-yet-again. Looks like business as usual by “deep State” that Trump is supposed to be dealing with. Nothing much to show so far.
If God does not intervene soon the He may have to apologise to Sodom and Gomora.
Excellent article. I believe your assessment of a measured response by Russia/Syria to any missile attack by US/IDF/FR to be tactitly accurate. Given the limited number of resources, S200 and electronic jamming seems most probable, if of course its another round of Tomahawks. I believe Russia will exhaust all defensive options (shooting at and jamming missiles) before, before defensive aggression takes place, (shooting at ships) If more then Tomahawks are involved, I believe the stakes will be indeed higher and no one can can say with any degree of certainty what might occur. Of course, I’m hoping for none of the above. Thanks Saker
Love the Site n Insight
Humiliating the West without victory and the outright conquest of Western governments would be a very dangerous thing to do. Time is presumably infinite in duration and an enemy left unconquered will slink off to lick its wounds and reconsider its options.
If Russia really does have military superiority and especially military superiority so great that the current view of a world destroying nuclear conflagration is bogus then Russia should strike hard and end the threat forever for everyone’s sake. There is great comfort in “Whatever happens, we have got the Maxim gun, and they have not.’
The price, of course, is world empire which would be costly in a number of values. Just look at the West. But it would likely be better than surrender.
More importantly, the nuclear terror that began in 1945 needs to be ended as soon as possible and preferably by saner people. Whether this occurs through international agreement, unlikely now, or through armed conquest based on truly superior weaponry is of lesser importance than that it should come. If empire is to come as an unavoidable consequence better it come from those who don’t want it than from those who do.
Having woken to doom & gloom, well now I’m cheering up a little.
I now think that the sending of the carrier group is because they can’t decide what to do. Buys 7 days at least. And its a pointless gesture as in a serious conflict it will be at the bottom of the sea in minutes. So its a PR exercise.
Behind the scenes there will be serious stuff happening. I believe the Brits are having cold feet, asking for more proof, having been burned on the Skripal affair (possibly not their doing). Remember the Brits scuttled Obama’s adventure in Syria. Hence the news about the French – as it they offer anything. This indicates that Russia is spelling out the consequences.
Right now the clock is ticking on the US not Russia, which I believe has prepared for this. The fig leaf for the US is the OPCW – if they say nada then the US can semi-graciously withdraw (with their tails between their legs).
It has occurred to me that the supposed irrationality of the anglo-zionist leadership maybe rational after all. We hear constant references to the embedded insanity of the dominant neo-con clique who are behind US foreign policy theory and practise – a theory and practise which taken at face-value indeed qualifies as demented. BUT maybe the whole exercise is designed to make Russia THINK that the Americans are irrational and crazy. Hoping that the Russians are thinking, ‘Hey, these guys are crazy enough to blow up the world, we’d better start surrender talks.’ It is a sort of double-bluff which may or may not be behind the inflammatory rhetoric voiced by the US Bimbo to the UN, the ineffable Nikki Haley.
Just a thought
Just a thought that has nothing to do with whom
Putin has already proved himself to be.
As Hamlet says early in Shakespeare’s play: “The time is out of Joint. O cursed spite,
that ever I was born to set it right”, and which Putin is probably repeating right now.
Ghassan Kadi seems to have forgotten what Putin has said several time since the
beginning of his third term in 2012: Russia has no intention of fighting a conventional
war with the West. I assume I don’t have to tell you the implications of that remark. As
he recently put it: we will have to escalate to de-escalate.
I would add a fifth ‘main possible scenario’ to Kadi’s list of four. Given Trump’s campaign
promise of dealing with Putin man to man, which after his victory and the neocon’s full
court press, turned into a charge of him colluding with Russia and Russia interfering in
the election itself, in my opinion, either after the election in November or the inauguration
the following January, a second, secret channel was opened between Trump and Putin.
If that is too strange for you to grasp, you better stop reading now because it’s going to
get very weird very quickly. I’ll try to be brief.
If there is a second channel, then both Trump and Putin must have acknowledged that
they had a mutual enemy in the Hillary camp, the DNC, and foremost in the uncontrolled
allied, inner circles in the FBI and CIA. The admitted lies of Comey and Brennan informed
us of that. When Mueller was appointed and went to work, I had no problem believing that
his real work was to discover all the unconstitutional crimes members of the unsupervised
Intel Community had committed since they told Bush that Saddam had WMD.
Through their second channel Trump and Putin agreed to a script for their public behavior
and pronouncements which we have been forced to watch for the last 14 months. Mostly
it is creating fear of WWIII in Western Europe and America. And of course the charge that
Syria, an ally of Russia, has been using chemical weapons since 2013. More recently that
Russia struck the Skripal father and daughter with a deadly nerve agent. Everyone watching
this drama unfold knows there is no evidence whatsoever to prove the guilt of either Russia
or Syria, although the friends of the US/UK don’t care that there is no evidence as long as
May and bojo say those states are guilty.
Now if all this is true then a possible denouement for this tedious passion play will be the
discovery of unimpeachable exculpatory evidence of Russia and Syria’s innocence.
I know it is quite unlikely that Putin and Trump are participating in such a sham, but really
it is our best hope. Because there is a sixth possible main scenario for what’s happening
which is better than WWIII, but may not be very pleasant for the US/UK/Canada.
The transformation of these countries and a few more into Oceania from Orwell’s “1984”.
But there’s no need to discuss that eventually here.
Well it looks bleak. Trump has caved to the neocons et al, or he was with them all along, or he’s stupid as can be.
But there is a 4th possibility. I hope the “Q anon” stuff is true and Trump, Putin and Xi are playing 5D chess against the neocons/Deep State/NWO/Cabal/CFR-Trilateral Commission/globalist Nazi-corporatocracy who are probably at some level Satanists as well.
There is some basis for that optimism – in recent weeks Q has been plausibly verified by Trump’s tweets and statements. The 25,544 sealed indictments in the USA appear real and totally unprecedented and can only be explained as a prepared takedown of a corrupt military-industrial-congressional-financial-media-security agencies complex.
On the current escalation in Syria Q says Trump’s “animal Assad” tweet was some kind of hack or imposter, and posted photos of US servicemen covering their faces with handwritten notes about defending the constitution, getting out of Syria and not wanting to be ISIS ally.
So hopes pinned on a rather wild conspiracy theory of a real civil war in the US deep state between good guys with sense and heart and evil ones and their minions.
They’ve been lying all the way to the bank. By every passing day it’s becoming increasingly obvious, but, as A. Mercouris notes, this makes military option all the more likely.
The West has driven itself mad, so that war and sacrifice of human life seem to be the only way back to normalcy and rationality. Back to zero, square one. Blood of the lamb should clean the filth of the butcher.
This is the way of archaic and sacrificial religion – as René Girard argues thinking about escalation to extremes, islamic terrorism and Clausewitz:
“We can thus put forward the tentative hypothesis that the escalation to extremes now uses Islam as it once used Napoleonism and Pangermanism.
… By contrast [to The Qur’an], there is a Christian awareness of such murder. The two greatest conversions, those of Peter and Paul, are analogous: They are one with the awareness of having participated in a collective murder. Paul was there when Stephen was stoned to death. His departure for Damascus immediately followed that murder, which must have affected him terribly. Christians understand that the Passion has rendered collective murder inoperative. This is why, far from reducing violence, the Passion aggravates it [by revealing things hidden from the beginning of the world].
Islamism seems to have understood this very quickly, but in the sense of jihad. There are forms of acceleration in history that are self-perpetuating. We have the impression that today’s terrorism is somehow the heir of totalitarianism, that terrorism and totalitarianism contain similar forms of thought and ingrained habits.
One of the possible threads of this continuity is the construction of a Napoleonic model by a Prussian general.
… The trend toward the apocalypse is humanity’s greatest feat. The more probable this achievement becomes, the less we talk about it. I have come to a crucial point: that of a profession of faith, more than a strategic treatise, unless both are mysteriously equivalent, in the essential war that truth wages against violence. I have always been utterly convinced that violence belongs to a form of corrupted sacred, intensified by Christ’s action when he placed himself at the heart of the sacrificial system. Satan is the other name of the escalation to extremes. The Passion has radically altered the archaic world. Satanic violence has long reacted against this holiness, which is an essential transformation of ancient religion.”

Any US missiles fired at Syria will be shot down, launch sites targeted – Russian envoy to Lebanon
https://www.rt.com/news/423774-us-missiles-targeted-russia/
Zasypkin stressed that “the Russian forces will confront any US aggression on Syria, by intercepting the missiles and striking their launch pads,” al-Manar TV website reported, citing the envoy.
Looks like we are indeed heading for a global war. The Anglo cant back down now, or they will look so weak, and lose all their power, which comes through inciting Fear alone. Trump and May and Macron will risk everything.
Can Germany keep out of this? Germany I think will surprise us and take the Eurasian side. The fact they signed the Nord Stream 2 even under extreme Anglo threats not to, was very positive. Turkey knows it will end very bad if they have to fight Russia and so will go along with Putin. And Serbia, Greece, Hungary and the Latin European countries will never attack Russia. Skandinavia is traditionally neutral.
Poland recently has come under fire from the Anglo/EU because of its decision to stop manipulation of the Holocaust by Israel to silence the fact that their was a Genocide of Slavic people which killed many more people than the Jewish victims, and refusal to join multiculturalism and refugees settlement. If they have any sense they will not join the Anglo attacks. The Baltics states are actually Fascist and of course will support the Anglo until the end, which is of course suicidal for them.
Merkel changed her mind about Norstream 2 monday after a visit of Porky..It seems that now Ukrops nazis are manager of german economic policies and almost heads of NATO and the EU(without being membre).Ukraine will be invited at G7…more humiliation for Putin they probably think?
Merkel is selling out her own people to further the military adventurism of her puppet-masters in Washington. Suddenly, Putin is cut out of the Minsk process, Ukraine must continue to function as a gas transit country, and Nordstream 2 must be shut down. Meanwhile, an escalation of war in the Middle East will overrun her country with even more foreign refugees. All these sweeping self-destructive policies based on unsubstantiated accusations emanating from Washington and London. She deserves Mussolini’s fate, as do May and Macron.
”Scandinavia is traditionally neutral.” Norway was one of the earliest members of NATO, latterly joined by Denmark. Sweden is virtually a de facto member of NATO, only Finland is generally neutral.
As for the Baltics, do they really count? Of course they are fascists, always were, but he combined population of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania is smaller than that of London. Moreover these countries are rapidly depopulating due to falling birth rates, rising death rates and immigration to other EU states. This is a trend all over eastern Europe.
US Reportedly Mulls Powerful Strike on Syria, 22 Targets Include Russian Sites
https://sputniknews.com/us/201804111063429837-trump-mulls-strike-syria-chemical-attack/
Apparently Turkish news is suggesting the targets in Syria will be the Russian bases.
https://www.fort-russ.com/2018/04/urgent-britain-us-france-plan-to-strike-russian-base-in-syria/
Washington has not been demonising Putin and Russia over the course of the last 15 years for no reason. Putin’s a modern-day Lucretia Borgia, poisoning everyone he doesn’t like, don’t you know? They may very well find justification in their lies and false narratives to do what they really want–directly attack Russia.
Anyone wonder what that space plane that constantly orbits the planet is carrying up there? How about a few nukes they intend to strategically detonate at high altitude above Russia, paralysing its entire power grid, including its military command and control centers? Never underestimate the Devil. With one such offensive weapon they just might win every ongoing conflict if Russia cannot effectively strike back. I’m sure of one thing, that contraption up there was not built for space tourism. Maybe the Kremlin knows its purpose, but it remains a mystery to the general public.
EMPs won’t take down Russia easily, they had the good sense to harden their electric grid going back to the Soviet days.
We don’t know what’s possible until somebody tries it. Obomber had been bragging, while still in office, that he could shut down Russia’s entire grid with a cyber attack. (We know what they’ve done to Iran.) He overtly made the threat just before leaving office, saying it would happen unexpectedly. Perhaps Russia could cope with the imposition of such a disaster (they would undoubtedly do so better than Americans faced with the same challenge), but it would sure be a major impediment even if not a game changer. False bravado is what Trump uses in lieu of facts, logic, common sense and morality. I doubt Putin is placidly unconcerned about such scenarios.
I have no idea about a cyberattack… but if the US would shut down the RFs grid in that way then the obvious next step in escalation would be an nuclear EMP strike on the US grid, which absolutely is vulnerable. Obama could also brag that he could annihilate Russian cities just as easily, but there are consequences.
In an earlier post I said that’s what Russia should do first, and leave the American sheeple and the congress critters left scared shitless in the dark eating cold canned beans and fearing whatever comes next. They would probably demand an immediate armistice be negotiated by their (mis)leaders. Putin needs to deliver an EFFECTIVE measured response, one that stops short of both sides escalating to launching all they’ve got but one that distinctly says we can destroy you if you persist in this madness. Yes, I know that at a minimum Washington would deliver a tit-for-tat EMP, but I think the Russian population is better prepared for a few months of privation than are Americans.
Now Russia is totaly sanctionned(financial system).
Thanks to the ‘our partners policy’.
They only want total capitulation.
The United Striates is considering a new batch of sanctions against Russia over Moscow’s alleged “malign activity around the globe.”
The draft cites Russia’s alleged role in the “Skripal case” as the main reason for ramping up economic pressure on Moscow.
The pertinent bill, posted in the Congressional Records, envisages a complete ban on all kinds of financial operations pertaining to Russia’s sovereign debt and a potential ban on deals with securities issued by Russia’s Central Bank, the National Wealth Fund and the Federal Treasury.
The sanctions may also impact Russia’s Sberbank, VTB Bank, Gazprombank, Bank of Mosdcow, Rosselkhozbank, Promsvyazbank and Vnesheconombank.
The sanctions are to take effect no later than 90 days after the date of their imposition.
“For advancing Kremlin’s malign agenda”
Last week the US Treasury Department put 38 Russian businessmen, state officials and companies on its sanctions list.
In total, the sanctions list includes seven Russian businessmen and 17 officials.
Twelve of the 14 Russian companies, which have been added to the list, are privately owned.
These are Agroholding Kuban, B-Finance Limited, EN+ Group, Renova, Gazprom Drilling, NPV Engineering, Ladoga Management, GAZ, Rusal, Base Element, Eurosibenergo and Russian Machines.
The rest – Rosoboronexport and Russian Financial Corporation – are state-owned.
Washington has said that the Russian businessmen have been sanctioned because of the help they have given to the Russian government.
“They have reaped great benefits under the Putin regime and who play a key role in advancing the Kremlin’s malign agenda,” a senior Trump Administration official said.
He added that they “will no longer be insulated from the consequences of their government’s destabilizing activities.”.
The official went on to add that the sanctions were not aimed against the Russian people.(lol what a joke)
“The door of dialogue is open,” he noted.
Tough Response
In Moscow, the Foreign Ministry has warned that Russia will not let the new US sanctions go unanswered.
“Of course, we will not leave the current and any future anti-Russian attack without a harsh response,” the ministry’s press service said in a statement. “However, we would like, first of all, to advise Washington to get rid of the illusions that we can be spoken to in the language of sanctions.”
“Having not waited for the desired effect of previous sanctions, Washington politicians have reached such absurdity that they are trying to hit our companies which have long maintained business ties with the United States, on which thousands of jobs depend there,” the statement said.
Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has warned that Russia in turn was working on a list of possible retaliatory measures against the United States.
“There will be a response. We traditionally do respond, we have a list of possible retaliatory measures which are being explored. There are people responsible for that,” Zakharova said, without elaborating.
Expect zero of almost no response because Russia has nothing to sanction the US except war.
And they will never go to war.We approaching bankruptcy.
”tough response from Lavrov” lol ..very funny indeed…

My guess is we are about to see a replay of “wag the dog”. They–DEEP STATE– are raiding Cohen’s office to trigger Trump to attack-bomb Syria in an attempt to distract public attention away from Trump’s domestic stressors/ troubles. So pray Trump is warned about how this was done to Bill Clinton–prompting him to fire missiles–by Israeli Mossad plant (Monica Lewinsky),
and they are doing it again here. Bolton will advise Trump to maximize military hit against Syria, Russia, Iran. Watch the Ukranians and Saudis move aggressively.
Trump needs to fire Sessions and appoint a new Attorney General to go after Mueller, Rosenstein, McCabe, Comey, and others.
Ironically, only the Russians, Koreans, and Iranians making overtures for meeting and revising US relations can double wag the dog and help Trump out of this zio-con trap/ corner.
BEIRUT (Reuters) – Russia’s ambassador to Lebanon said any U.S. missiles fired at Syria would be shot down and the launch sites targeted, a step that could trigger a major escalation in the Syrian war.

The World Health Organisation has condemned an alleged chemical weapons attack in Douma and demanded an “immediate unhindered access to the area to provide care to those affected, to assess the health impacts, and to deliver a comprehensive public health response.”
“According to reports from Health Cluster partners, during the shelling of Douma on Saturday, an estimated 500 patients presented to health facilities exhibiting signs and symptoms consistent with exposure to toxic chemicals. In particular, there were signs of severe irritation of mucous membranes, respiratory failure and disruption to central nervous systems of those exposed,” Peter Salama, WHO deputy director-general for emergency preparedness and response, said in a statement.

Has anyone any information on the background of this Peter Salama creature?
There might be a few more objectives than the four that are listed. One being that the incumbent governments in both the US and UK are on the back foot – to use a cricketing metaphor – and that the whole episode is for political point-scoring. The Skripal incident certainly gave May the opportunity to castigate the opposition to whom she has been losing ground and with positive effects if the polls are to be believed.
The US is also in similar situations.
Looks like some good old sabre-rattiling to me.
US/ will attack Russian assets.
US Reportedly Mulls ‘Powerful Strike’ on Syria, 22 Targets Include Russian Sites
Possible Targets of US Strikes
According to the recent report by Turkish media outlet Yeni Safak, citing International Relations scholar Zakariye Molahafci, the US has designated 22 top targets on Syria’s territory. The targets are reportedly located in the province of Homs, as well as near Russian naval facility in Tartus, where Russian servicemen are currently deployed.
The news agency has suggested that the United States, the UK, France and Israel will carry out coordinated airstrikes against Syria, paying particular attention to military airbases in Homs, Damascus, Tartus, Hama, Deir ez-Zor, Raqqa and Al-Hasakah. The allies will reportedly use land, sea and air missiles to attack Syria
“The eradication of the regime’s air defense systems would shift the balances,” said Molahafci, adding that such an offensive would strike a major blow to Assad’s forces.

An excellent article. Yes, time is the factor, and the West does not have it. Eurasia is on the rise, politically and economically. The Chinese have already in introduced the petro-yuan. That false flag in England and the recent one in Syria are signs that the West is losing it’s nerve. Both false flags were poorly planned and executed. Old methods were used, making one wonder if those who planned them are capable of thinking anything original.
The overall impression is that the elites (bankers) in London and New York don’t really know what they are doing, nor what they are supposed to do. At the moment they are applying pressure on the elites in Continental Europe, who are going along with half a heart. I don’t see any enthusiasm, with Continental states expelling symbolic number of Russian diplomats, while others refusing to expel any. Analysts have stated that a rift will occur between European and US elites, with the European ones turning towards Russia. I think this is inevitable. The false flags in England and Syria are acting like a catalyst. Should the US launch a military strike against Syria, then this will lead to the break up of both the EU and NATO. Washington better think very carefully what it is going to do. It better not push it’s luck in Syria.
@Ghassan Kadi
There are only 2 countries entitled to fire anything within or into the territory of Syria, Iran and Russia by virtue of Syrian authority.
No other country/organization has the right to consider violence against Syria under any pretence whatsoever.
Get that straight, cruise missiles kill people and destroy people’s property, by what authority should anyone play God with an entire nation of people. We have all seen the wanton destruction of people and property in Syria.
When you decide to pick up a gun to kill, you should also accept the fact that you may be killed.
At the first cruise launch boats/subs/planes are fair game. If not they will continue to play that option again.. and again .. and again, this must stop now.
Not rocket science right?
UK,US France and NATO have tried their best to intimidate, humiliate and now, prepare to attack Russian forces. Yet everything I read here advocate Russia going softly on them. Will they understand and back off ? I don’t think so. In my youth, I witnessed vicious fights daily. A humiliated bully is a mad bully who will stop at nothing. The only way to stop him is to knock him out. Russia should use a false flag of dead Russian soldiers to justify sinking some ships.

“Russia vows to shoot down any and all missiles fired at Syria. Get ready Russia, because they will be coming, nice and new and “smart!” You shouldn’t be partners with a Gas Killing Animal who kills his people and enjoys it!”
What an absolute warmongering idiot.
The Anglo empire is exactly the same as Adolf Hitler and his Operation Babarossa. Russia is at War against an ideologically fundamentalist, irrational militarisic power. Poroshenko said the ‘ATO’ is over, and will be replaced with a ‘multi force command’ mission or similar words. The Anglo know that Ukraine is much more vital to Russia than Syria, it could be that all this threatening about Douma is actually a big distraction to rescue Fascist Ukraine. NATO trainers and EU politcal operatives have been working in Ukraine since the war started. But the Ukranian army is still corrupt and weak, and Poverty and emigration is increasing . Poroshenko is so unpopular that only regaining Donbass can save him from a coup.
Also today there was an air crash in Eurasian ally Algeria, hundreds dead, and also a training jet in Serbia. We should think of their relatives at this time. Anglo media will no doubt relish seeing a Russian-made Illuyshin jet crash.
I was actually going to post the question of whether the American deep state had secretly named this grand new military action as “Operation Barbarossa 2.0,” because that’s what it seems like. But I’ll just attach it as a reply to your entry. Clearly, all these dipshit countries that Washington has already invaded, ravaged and/or provoked are merely entrée’s to Russia. China had better be ready to pony up troops and weapons quickly in this struggle, because they are clearly next on Uncle Sam’s shit list.
He should be in a straight jacket and in a padded cell.

As to the validity of the analysis, I’m no expert. What I did notice though was John Bolton floating over his left shoulder. Spiders and flies came to mind.
The ‘take the missiles down’ scenario is probably a good starting point. Some reports have indicated that Russia has recently shipped 40 or so additional Pantsir missile systems to Syria. The only easy options the US is to use the dog slow tomahawks or put jets over Syria and bomb.
Utterly bizarre.

Idiot Medvedev…
Dmitry Medvedev described possible response measures to the restrictions as “unfair competition,” stating that Russia does not exclude the possibility of appealing to international trade institutions for an evaluation of the US sanctions.
“We will have to weigh all aspects of our cooperation with the United States,” Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said during a government report to the State Duma.
The prime minister noted that the president makes the decision on cooperation, but the government needs to fulfill it. According to Medvedev, Russia is being encircled in a trade “ring” and the country cannot respond to such measures. At the same time, the head of government reminded that there are many products produced in the US on the Russian market.

The crazies in DC are pushing the rational players in Moscow to play their crazy game – whether they like it or not. This is a very dangerous situation that puts everyone on Earth at risk of extinction. The American Empire doesn’t have a single rational card to play, so they are threatening to kick over the table, and precipitate a nuclear melee. The thought of surrendering the Empire’s dream of total world domination is inconceivable to them, and they are willing to destroy the world to avoid that. In their warped minds they believe that they can somehow “win” even if a full exchange of nuclear weapons occurs. Russia’s role in this confrontation is crucial and agonizingly difficult. I trust Vladimir Putin to make the best possible decisions in this tragic situation; the fate of the world is now in his hands.
It won’t be Vlad’s fault or responsibility for what is, now, very likely to explode.
He has already said sans Russia rien !!!!!

Humiliation would lead to the disintegration of the United States. Humiliation leads to the end of Empire, which causes the dollar to collapse, which is to the end of the US Financial system, which would destroy the US Economy, which would result in the break-up of the Union or a totalitarian state.
In the most humane scenario, if the technology exist, the Russians would disable the USS Donald Cook, board the ship, take the crew as prisoners, and then blow the it up. The crews lives would be saved, but the result for the Empire would still be the same: destruction.
The Empire is going to force a fight because it is fighting for it’s life. All we can do is pray that the bastards don’t blow up the world when they realize that they are not going to have it. For this reason I’m still glad that Hillary Clinton is not President.
There has to be a decisive, undeniable and unequivocal event which demonstrates US military defeat if the Empire is to stop its military adventures.
Time will tell if it happens with one or more big bangs or with less noise.
Are the leaders of the west psychopaths? I have no doubt they are. Are they bluffing? Absolutely not. Why do I say this? One only needs read the document from Project for a New American Century, “Which Path to Persia” and listen to the interview with Gen. Wesley Clark, former allied commander of NATO who visited the Pentagon and discovered there is a long term plan to overthrow 7 countries in 5 years in the middle east. They would finish up with Iran. They believed at the time that Russia would not interfere, so Assad’s request for Russian assistance has created a problem which has slowed the progress of their plan. But the plan is still in motion even if it means world war. And they do not care who or how many are blown to bits.
It really does put Russia in a terrible position. But there is no way they can avoid facing this homicidal maniac. Remember all those missiles installed around Russian borders. Sooner or later, they intend to come for Russia too. The longer this is put off, the more desperate it is likely to become.
Quote: “The irony here is that the West does not have a clear and potentially winning plan if it were to take the military option in Syria.”
You don’t think the West, Israel, America et. al didn’t win in Iraq, Libya and Syria? Millions dead and displaced? Infrastructure destroyed? The Empire of Death serves the devil and all he wants is death and suffering. If no other nations except for U.S., Israel and the vassals are left, don’t you think the A.Z. empire has won?
No, Russia has to destroy the launch vessels and strike the fear of God into the evil ones nonexistent hearts.
I respectfully disagree. The West knows that its time is limited. China is making headway around the world with its initiatives and beginning to take a lead in some areas of technology. Russia is solidly under a firm a wise leadership class and is tying itself close to China. However, the Russia/China alliance is still in its infancy. Washington depends on permanent war to keep the house of cards in place. All sectors of the power-elite are tied into Washington to maintain their power-positions and, for the first time since maybe 2005 or so Washington’s Deep State is more or less unified under the domination now of the covert-op community which engineered the current crisis, clearly. Because this community (it’s not just the CIA) can assert and show real power other factions must now defer to it and this goes deep into the media, even the left-media. America’s power-elite are now unified and ready to roll.
Washington believes Russia will not and cannot mount an effective response to any military attack in Syria. If Russia can shoot down all the missiles coming in on a first volley, fine, they’ll keep volleying and bombing because Washington knows it has an unlimited supply of weaponry at its disposal. Thus the Russians will have to give up an retreat at some point. Russia must respond in some way and Washington may allow Russia to do so or it may not. Clearly on the economic front, on the Ukraine front, on all fronts Washington seems to have decided that Russia must be defenestrated at ALL COSTS. There is no dissent on this to speak of in Europe and practically no dissent in the USA on this policy since the mainstream media is all-lies, all-day, all night and none of the major power-factions on the left or the right object–though there are far more on the right who object than on the left which has completely abandoned any interest in an anti-war agenda.
Russia cannot be expected to stop the U.S. in Syria or, probably, in Iran and must stand down and be prepared to fight in Ukraine which is far more important.
The Zionist controlled US willnot be able to send a second volley. if you have been listening RuF have stated that they will destroy the launch platforms as well as the missiles.
” the Russia/China alliance is still in its infancy.”
If this is the sum of your knowledge of Russia and China,
how little you know.
” If Russia can shoot down all the missiles coming in on a
first volley, fine, they’ll keep volleying and bombing…”
Why wouldn’t Russia, who knows more about Washington’s
unlimited supply of weaponry than you, Immediately target
all the places from which this weaponry was launched?
Russia has more than enough Kaliprs to do that. For all you
their brand friends new friends in Beijing have been licesened
to manufacture them.
Oh, it’s not Washington’s Deep State, it’s the Deep State’s Washington
Yes! This is a very well reasoned article. I really do not think a full direct confrontation is in Russia’s interest at this time in this theater. The Empire knows it’s time is just before the end and is beginning to flail and thrash. If this isn’t some negotiation bluff and there is an attack; Russia will do well to be measured in response. There will be a response I am sure. Russia has initiated actions in Syria and has created responsibility thereby. Shirking will invite even more danger to the world. I don’t think Russians are shirkers.
Time will tie the Leviathan but simply watching and waiting is both vain and perilous.
This is all very crazy.
Intercept missiles?
Absurd!
How many missiles do the Western scoundrels have? A lot of them!
Taking them one by one in sky is a crazy, a stupid suicide.
I hope Russia does not waste time trying to stop them in the air: attack their bases! And only their bases ..
You are correct, if Russia’s response were directed at winning. More likely, Putin doesn’t want to aggravate the beast into directly going nuclear. His “measured” response will be more like a plea to Washington’s “humanity and common sense” (yes, I know, absurd notions) to stop and reconsider what you are doing, because we COULD hurt you if we chose. So far, Washington has been oblivious to such civilised courtesies, considering them signs of weakness. Putin may just lose valuable time and resources playing such a game, but he (and any sane person) desperately does not want World War III.
Agreeing with the notion that a firm and humiliating response to a US attack in Syria is required without necessarily triggering WW3 how about this as a scenario:
Message to US: “As a result of your illegal recent actions please note that on dd/mm we will sink the Donald Cook at 1100GMT. If there occur further attacks aimed at Russian or allied forces another USN vessel will meet the same fate – this time without prior notice”
This avoids casualties as the US will be given the option to evacuate all personnel. By deploying one of the advanced weapon systems revealed on March 1 for the task any notion of bluff is repudiated.
There needs to be a basic level of competence even to start WW3. The U.S. military doesn’t even have that. And if they surmount all the odds and succeed, it’l be a short war.
It is always in my mind that Americans play Poker, while Russians play Chess.
“So what are the Western objectives of the escalations in Syria?”.
The US wants the Oil. The situation has changed somewhat which is a problem for the US: However, it is likely that the US envisioned an Oil route between Hasaka and Mosul with its Kurd Proxies at either end. however the Iraqi’s drove the Kurds out of Mosul, leaving the US just the option to send the Oil South into Jordan. Very tricky: Reminds me of the Monkey that tried to steal the Apple from the Jar.
Chinas’ Defence Chief might be creating the appearance of unity with Russia but a veto in support of Russia would be better than hot air and platitudes. Does China want to Have its cake and eat it too?
I disagree. Syria has a few amount of oil that US doesn’t care.
Us wants just a vassal state there and a safe way for Barhein oil/gas to compete with Russia in Europe.
Thank you. What would we do without you?
Deliberate near misses would accomplish nothing. However, imagine a few warhead-less missiles hitting American ships, causing some damage and a few casualties. It would be the Russian version of the Native American practice of “counting coup” which was specifically intended to humiliate the entire enemy force. A bonus humiliation is that it would be a belated victory for Native Americans over European-American war culture.
I’ll simplify as much as possible.

President Bush’s War on Terror is a mythic battle between good and evil, and Syria and Iran represent the powers of darkness. Such views are far from rare—an estimated fifteen to twenty million Americans share them. Almost one in three Americans believes Israel was given to the Jews by God as a prelude to the Battle of Armageddon and Jesus’ Second Coming. Clark concludes with an assessment of Christian Zionists’ impact on American foreign policy in the Middle East and on America’s relationships with European allies since the attacks of 9/11.

HISTORY
Lardner said in vol. 4 of his commentary on page 175: “Cyrillus and the Church of Jerusalem did not acknowledge the book of Revelation in their period. Apart from this, the name of this book does not even occur in the list of Canonical books which he wrote.”
On page 323 of the same volume Lardner further said: “Revelation was not the part of Syrian version.”
Now, the only way to stop the theater is to name the Revelation as theater and its battle Armageddon. If not, they will fulfill what they believe. I told you, the theater what they believe Antichrist wrote, False APOCALYPSE, FALSE Revelation.
