Trumps recent and sudden 180 degree turn on a number of international issues is mind-boggling, to say the least. But, if we connect the dots it becomes easier to get into the mind of the pragmatic billionaire-turned-President.
First and foremost, we must thank Obama for the “if” state of mind he gave us about Trump. Many analysts, including myself, felt hopeful when Clinton was defeated and Trump won. Given the Obama disappointment, we all learnt to reserve our enthusiasm and make optimistic statements on the condition of “if” Trump kept his promises; which we now know he obviously did not. Whether he did not, could not or did not want to in the first place, makes no difference at all because, at the end of the day, he did not keep his promises of reducing world tension and conflict.
When analysts sit and try to explain why was it that the Trump administration suddenly decided to bomb Syria, with the “chemical attack” as aside, they have been forgetting that, out of the blue, and for no reason at all, and just a few days before this incident, the Trump administration made very strong pro-Assad statements.
That was a prelude for the upcoming Xi Jinping visit. Trump wanted to present to the rest of the world that he was working against ISIS primarily, with Russia and even with Assad.
That was all meant to change the moment the Chinese Tiger laid foot on American soil.
The scenario that I am speculating on involves a direct American role in the Chemical attack, otherwise the timing would have been an almost impossible feat.
Let’s wind back the clock a bit. Soon after his inauguration, Trump told the Russians to tell the Syrians that he was prepared to stop total support for ISIS and have it eradicated on condition that Syria and Russia guarantee that they will reciprocate by kicking Iran and Hezbollah off Syrian soil. I have written a whole article about this called “The Race for Raqqa”.
The Russians and the Syrians were not either prepared to back-stab their allies or prepared to give America a central and pivotal role in the Levant. In other words, Trump’s outcries fell on deaf ears to his sheer dismay, the accomplished business man, who is not used to taking “no” for an answer. That “no” that Trump received from Russia marked a pivotal point in as far as his future relationship with Russia is concerned. For a simple minded person who judges complex international events and diplomats as being “bad”, “good” and “tough” amongst other school playground expressions, he had to make a stand to prove that he was “tough”.
Trump’s message to Xi Jinping was clear, stop supporting Russia and the USA will give you a “better deal”. The Chinese leader’s response was even clearer; don’t blame America’s problems on China and don’t interfere with our international diplomacy.
In the middle of the negotiations between the two leaders, Trump wanted to give his Chinese counterpart a clear preparedness on his part to dump Russia and any future collaboration with Russia as a prelude for closer and better relationships with China. What better way did he have than do a 180 degree turn and attack Syria, with Russian troops on the ground, and only a few days after endorsing Assad’s Presidency and fate?
The Tomahawks that hit Syria were not launched to inflict major damage because Trump clearly cannot afford to escalate the situation there between America and Russia to the point of no return. Trump’s attack on Syria was simply a message for China, telling China “for me to gain your support I am prepared to do crazy things, including dumping Russia”.
When Tillerson went to Moscow a few days after the attack on a pre-scheduled visit, he had nothing to say in defense of that attack and left Moscow “agreeing” that this should not happen again in a manner as if he was saying it shouldn’t have happened in the first place.
The big fish that Trump wants to fry is not Syria. Even though in his stumbling, awkward arrogance, he may attack Syria again if he feels he needs to.
It is as if Trump is courting two potential partners; Russia and China. He tried to strike a military deal with Russia on Syria but he failed. But he also tried to strike a much more complex deal with China but this is also failing.
Ideally, Trump wants China to let go of its Island development program in the South China Sea and abandon its BRICS based economic and other strategic alliances with Russia. China is not biting.
Comes the MOAB.
There was no strategic or logical explanation or gain behind Trump’s orders to drop a MOAB on Afghanistan. It was a simple show of force and determined mentality of aggression at any cost.
Trump now wants to bring the war closer to China’s borders. He wants to turn Korea into Obama’s Ukraine. The stalemate in Ukraine will eventually give way. If NATO was going to do something against Russia it would have done it already. The new hotspot is Korea.
What Trump hopes for is a that a war against North Korea will give him enough justification to blockade China’s sea trade routes all the way down to the South China Sea under the guise of military necessity.
Trump seems confident that he can blow a devastating strike on North Korea and then follow this up with a blockade that covers the entire China Sea, north, middle and south. In his short-sightedness and arrogance, he thinks that nuclear North Korea is not going to be able to retaliate and that China will sit idle.
What is to happen in the next few days, weeks or months is going to be pivotal in deciding the short term future of humanity on this planet.
At best, the bottom line behind Trump’s new moves, if he is truly continuing to uphold the slogan of “make America great again”, is that he realized now that the American economy has been destroyed beyond repair and that he needs drastic measures, including limited nuclear wars, to restore America’s dominion. By the same token, by now, Trump would have realized that it is really the Deep State that is in charge and for him to secure his survival as President, he has to tow the line.
Irrespective of what is driving Trump; the Deep State, financial pragmatism, the shrinking global influence of the United States or any other factor or combination of the above, Trump is playing a very dangerous game which may prove to be a decisive game of Russian Roulette of global reach.
Trump is up against Russia and China, not to forget the smaller powers of North Korea and Iran. In the Levant you can add the Syrian Army and Hezbollah to the equation. Is the ailing USA up to the task? Rational thinking implies the contrary. Irrespective, the consequences of the interaction of all of those powers at play is something that we as citizens of the world have no other option but to sit back and watch.
An astonishing article in that the author clearly still believes Trump is in charge of foreign policy.
Yesterdays article by Scott clearly shows otherwise and we have to go forward fully aware that the US has become a country run by private military organisations and generals and also by private financial interests.
It is therefore pointless from now on discussing Trump. Scott’s article makes it quite clear that – for example – the detonation of the MOAB bomb took place without Trump even being told never mind consulted.
These Generals could launch a strike against a country and Trump not have a clue what’s happening. Even worse these globalists don’t even care if the US itself is destroyed in a conflict.
This is the way we must view the US from now on. – a military/financial dictatorship accountable to nobody.
If people want to rage against Trump, fine, but it is pointless because he is not in charge.
This is the worst possible situation we could find ourselves in.
We should have seen it coming. The writing was on the wall. Trump is owned by Goldman Sachs.
Facts that are all too clear to see……soon your article will become general knowledge and accepted as reality…..sad but true!!!
The strategy the auther laid out makes a lot of sense. Whether it is all Trump’s idea or he is just playing the role the deep state assigned to him is another question. And as far as Russia, Iran and Syria are concerned, it is a distinction without a difference.
Instead of saying ‘Trump’, then, say ‘Trumpet’ — like the bugle used by armies and the thing that makes loud, official, noises from the state’ It’s a collective — like the Borg Collective — and it probably doesn’t much matter who it’s broken down into people and sectors for discussions such as these.
As Mr, Kadi said
“By the same token, by now, Trump would have realized that it is really the Deep State that is in charge and for him to secure his survival as President, he has to tow the line.
Irrespective of what is driving Trump; the Deep State, financial pragmatism, the shrinking global influence of the United States or any other factor or combination of the above, …
”
What Trumpet is managing to do, regardless of scheming, is to alienate and anger everyone — Russia, China, Syria, Afghanistan, his base, and just about everyone else.
Bernadette said: “This is the worst possible situation we could find ourselves in.”
Not quite. Clinton could have won the election. But otherwise, a realistic statement.
Perhaps there is one glimmer of hope. Maybe the established military is reluctant to start WW3 with flip-flopper Trumpty-Dumbdy and his clown car cabinet/generals at least nominally calling the shots.
The “botched” 59 Tomahawks and “pointless” MOAB attacks may have been an intentional message from the established US military. As well, while tragically killing many Syrian civilians was the cost, the US “accidental” bombing the ISIS chemical depot was a propaganda nightmare, virtually exactly the same type of incident as the Syrian Air Force was stitched-up for by US black-ops.
As in, despite what the White House/State Dep’t/CIA/NSA and all of Trumpty Dumbdy’s appointed men say in their sabre-rattling/chickenhawk pronouncements and do in their nasty little black-ops, the actual US military knows exactly what the limits to Putin and Xi’s patience is, and how the US mainland would come out looking very worse-for-wear if WW3, conventional or otherwise, is started by the US. Dropping about a $200million in ordinance and associated costs to get virtually zero result is a blatant wake-up call for Trump-the-businessman, aimed directly at his frugal, struggling voter base and the wanna-be/has-been generals and Wall Street refugees in cabinet and the Zionist/Rothschild Industrial Complex portion of the Deep State.
War is the American way of death, but when the insane $tax-bill is so obvious and the results so minor, the only greater deterrent will be when the body bags containing dead US “special forces” troops from Syria begin to land in fly-over America. The boomers still remember Vietnam as a bad thing and Iraq/Afghanistan vets also won’t be happy being dragged into paying for yet another never-ending boondoggle.
In any case, Trump was a lame-duck before he even took the Oath, and his giving “authorization” to the military after the fact is not lost on anyone but the remaining MAGA crowd.
Trump is run by Jews. Every POTUS since Wilson (Federal Reserve Act) has effectively been run by Jews. It is what it is.
And as we know, that for Jews, its all or nothing. Insidious indeed.
Both the Old Testament and the Talmud(which most Jews believe supersedes the Torah) speak in the language of annihilation. In fact if one were to count the number of times the word ‘ Destroy ‘ is used in said books (Rabbinical ravings and psychosis of demented anarchists, the Levites) , one would reach into the hundreds of times.
Here’s an example for you :
Old Testament – Exodus 22 : 20
‘ You must Kill and Destroy those who worship another God ‘
The Quran – 60 : 8
‘ Be Righteous and act Justly towards those who worship another God ‘
—– question is, who exactly is their God? The God of Destruction.
Things will get very dicey in the coming months and years. The pieces are moving in place. ‘They’ never fail to over-extended themselves. The Jew will always, without fail, drive the host into the ground. As it happened in Babylon, Persia, Egypt, Greece, Rome, Europe, Bolshevik Russia and now, the aged U.S.A.
So sad that many have to perish before the parasite is dealt with. The 21st Century (I pray not) will be an unprecedented century of conflict and death, destruction.
We shall see. But I’m with the Saker. Islam and Russia and her Church need to find common ground and unite. Together along with the economic powerhouse, China, can blunt a miserable outcome for humanity prepared by international Jews(yeah, you know who you are, and what I’m saying here!) by way of war, and just outright evil should they not get their way in inheriting the world to themselves, while the rest of us are mere beasts of burden.
Anyways. Its the Jew….stupid!
I agree that Trump is indulging the NeoCon faction but they should be worried that their President is of a changeable disposition. He might easily be moved to a contrary position. He could go ‘Lindberg’ at any point. China, Russia, Iran and North Korea need two more years to roll out their latest military hardware improvements. They have a lot coming down the tubes. The U.S. not so much. Their stuff is new. The U.S. stuff is old. New U.S. stuff is crap. The Russians are very good with electronic measures. The Russians will be the first to deploy a hypersonic weapon [Zircon}. The Russians will soon be deploying ther S-500 air defense systems. Game over. China has more stuff coming on line that one can record. Their had both hit their stride. They have momentum. It’s a critical advantage. Push now and they will soon be decisively on top. The U.S. stuff is old, their ground forces weak, new stuff is bad. There is a GAP. Russia and China can move quickly and put themselves forward.
That’s what’s happening. Stringing the U.S, along until they roll enough new shit out to turn the balance of power.
Agree. And the real fire-power is economic.
If the RF + PRC can continue to play judo and aikido with the US for another 18-24 months, then the entire geo-politics of the world will feel and be swept up in a sea-change that is already underway. …..
The ultimate 21st century choice; OBOR or war

Extracts:
…….
China has proposed One Belt One Road (OBOR); a pan-Eurasian connectivity spectacular designed to configure a hypermarket at least 10 times the size of the US market within the next two decades.
….. Shuttling between the West and Asia, one can glimpse. ……. the graphic contrast between paralysis and paranoia {US-UK} and an immensely ambitious $1.4 trillion project potentially touching 64 nations, … 4.4 billion people and around 40 per cent of the global economy which will, among other features, create new “innovative, invigorated, interconnected and inclusive” trade horizons and arguably install a post-geopolitics win-win era.
An array of financial mechanisms is already in place. The AIIB (which will fund way beyond the initial commitment of $100 billion); the Silk Road Fund ($40 billion already committed); the BRICS’s New Development Bank (NDB), initially committing $100 billion; plus assorted players such as the China Development Bank and the Hong Kong-based China Merchants Holdings International.
Chinese state companies and funds are relentlessly buying up ports and tech companies in Western Europe – from Greece to the UK.
Cargo trains are now plying the route from Zhejiang to Tehran in 14 days, through Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan; soon this will be all part of a trans-Eurasia high-speed rail network, including a high-speed Transiberian.
The $46 billion China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has the potential to unblock vast swathes of South Asia, with Gwadar, operated by China Overseas Port Holdings, slated to become a key naval hub of the New Silk Roads.
Deep-sea ports will be built in Kyaukphyu in Myanmar, Sonadia island in Bangladesh, Hambantota in Sri Lanka. Add to them the China-Belarus Industrial Park and 33 deals in Kazakhstan covering everything from mining and engineering to oil and gas.
Back in February, PwC was already detailing $250 billion in OBOR projects that had (already) been built, recently started or agreed on and signed.
An array of Silk Road projects now crisscross Eurasia, progressively networking east-west and north-south corridors through many an economic zone; an expanding connectivity and infrastructure development frenzy involving Russia, China, India, Pakistan, Iran, Southeast and Central Asia. Connectivity, now more than geography, is destiny.
It’s not by accident that a lot of the action happens in member-states or observers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). The New Silk Roads are about to be totally intertwined with the reprogramming of the SCO as a security-economic cooperation umbrella.
In parallel Russia, with the progressive coordination of the Eurasia Economic Union (EEU) with the New Silk Roads, projects the Russia-China strategic partnership much further than just New Silk Road connectivity to Europe.

The US might be offering axes and beads to trade, but neither Russia or China is going to let go their grasp on this once in a millennium opportunity.
I do agree that Trump is not even near the power.

“(t)here is a sense among…commanders that they are able to do…more – and so they are.”
“They complained about Obama administration micromanagement. Now they’re acting more on their own.”
Mattis “is telling them, ‘it’s not the same as it was. You don’t have to ask us before you drop a MOAB.’”
“Technically there’s no piece of paper that says you have to ask the president to drop a MOAB. But last year this time, the way (things were) meant, ‘I’m going to drop a MOAB, better let the White House know.’”
It appeared at best berserk optimisim to have even pondered in the shadows of your own mind, let alone assumed publically that the president is anything but a mouth piece for Death Inc.
It’s hardly news to even discuss the matter…by all means attack trump for being a fool, choosing to play spokesman for the most hostile to humanity regime the planet has ever known, but why waste any focus on what has been proven beyond any semblance of doubt, to any right minded, strident observer of global affairs for many moons indeed.
Don’t know if this comment belongs in this thread. I’ve been thinking that Trump is the American Erdogan. But now I wonder if he is even that.
Trump is an empty shell. Forget Trump. He’ll read the teleprompter when the Zionists shove something in front of his face though.
the problem with this unfolding of events is that these air strikes…..both in Afghanistan and in Syria were not of Trumps doing…….he did not sign off on the strikes……rather he granted the military the latitude to order said strikes……Trump is being pushed aside…..silenced….made to follow others orders……think his daughter…..her husband Jared kushner…..Dina Powell…..google “Lee Stranahan”….a former WH insider and friend of Bannon……don’t take my word for it……do some research…..and it think you will see and agree Trump is being Usurped!!!!
Very interesting proposal that a war with North Korea could be used to blockade China’s sea routes.
Funny thing, the US buys most of its cheap consumer goods from China. How will preventing these goods from reaching US consumers do anything except create utter and complete chaos in both China and the US?
And good luck with that “limited nuclear war” idea. Read “Local Nuclear War, Global Suffering” to see exactly how “limited” such a war might be http://climate.envsci.rutgers.edu/pdf/RobockToonSciAmJan2010.pdf
Assuming it remains “limited”, of course.
Trump has shown us that the elections are rigged. He has shown us that the deep states really exists. Finally he has shown us who really controls Washington. He has pretty much ruined it for the “two party system”. Wouldn’t you agree that he has been very successful?
The US is now clearly a ‘One Party’ state (war/wealth party). As far as the State Party is concerened, ‘Democracy’ means the ability to vote in a figurehead with superficial differences between the (usually) pre-selected choices. States like Turkey are more honest that the US in their state systems.
I don’t know why people are associating the cruise missile strike against Syria as a “message to China” other than the coincidence of timing. It likely had nothing whatever to do with China.
The intent of the cruise missile strike was obvious – it was a test run for a large-scale cruise missile attack a la Iraq and Libya and to gauge whether Russia would use its air defenses or retaliate. It was also supposed to be a hint to Russia that Russia could not stop a large-scale cruise missile attack.
Russia did neither. They used their ECM to degrade the attack so that only 40% of the missiles hit. This sent a message to the Pentagon that a large-scale cruise missile attack would not be as effective as the Pentagon thought.
However, the Pentagon has another plan. They can keep sending US troops into Syria and there is little Russia can do about it. The Pentagon can use those troops to conduct intelligence missions on the ground, along with Signals Intelligence, to identify every Russian and Syrian air defense unit. The Pentagon can claim these troop increases are for the purpose of defeating ISIS in Raqqa.
Once the Pentagon has enough troops on the ground inside Syria – perhaps 10-20,000 or more – the US can conduct an “internal invasion” of Syria, disabling the air defenses on the ground, thus laying the groundwork for a large-scale cruise missile attack to be followed by a large-scale air campaign a la Libya. With support from US assets outside Syria, this is perfectly feasible. Russia and Syrian air assets will be busy engaging US air assets and will not be in a position to engage US troops on the ground. There will not be enough Russian troops on the ground to engage the US troops. The Syrian, Iranian and Hizballah troops will be outnumbered and spread too thin to respond to a concentrated US force – and they, too, will be under air attack once the air defenses are down.
The only defense Russia will have against this is to sink all US naval ships in the Med at the first sign of such an attack. This would blunt the US cruise missile attack somewhat.
This is what the US generals mean when they talk about 50,000 or more US troops on the ground in Syria. It will be a slow, incremental, internal invasion rather than a massive buildup outside Syria and then a regular invasion a la Iraq.
Given a US incursion into Eastern Syria with the lie of it being to secure Raqqa and With the Turks and the Israelis doing a combined attack, then the Syrians et al will be in a pincer-like trap. Well, there is a solution spelled I-s-k-a-n-d-e-r especially after the NK situation goes nuclear but that will not deal the sobering blow to the pocketbook which is necessary.
Russia is finding that the Death Star is sending squads of terrorists hiding in the migrant Muslim (Internal migration) community to try to wreak havoc on its society. Surely they must know that things will only get nastier in the future now that the military-intelligence-finance coup has been completed in the USA.
This is called fascism, so don’t make the historical mistakes of a Stalin. ( People sure like to throw names around like Hitler, Trotsky, Stalin etc. etc. as if this really has any bearing on anything but I do not want to be left out of the meme game so I ask your indulgence)
As for Trump–I will weigh in on him–it is precisely because he is not an ideologue that he was defeated so easily and willingly. He is an opportunist businessman who saw how the game was played and instead of standing on principle and fighting the good fight and possibly winning, he chose the pragmatic/opportunist choice of handing over power to the shadow government of the deep state ( I daresay it does exist) calling it a delegation of authority.
One would think that China and Russia would put their heads together and come up with something to crash the bloated debt of the West which is teetering on the brink of chaotic collapse. By financing the reserve currency of the dollar and by buying US debt, the whole world is supporting this madness in a kind of mutual assisted suicide pact. Do I want to suffer the consequences of this collapse here in the USA–no; but I want to be alive even if it means learning to grow potatoes etc.
There are lesser evil choices in how to bring down the war machine facing those leaders who have some sanity left. But they had better act soon.
I agree that the Pentagon can keep infiltrating troops into Syria under the pretense of “fighting ISIS”. Then, when they have enough they can “change the narrative” (perhaps after another false flag chemical weapons attack) and conduct a “shock and awe” direct attack against the Syrian military. Russia/Syria must find a way to cut this campaign off before it starts. Possible methods include
1) Aerial or missile attacks on any (or all) U.S. logistics dumps or logistics supply lines in Syria.
2) Air defense system attacks on U.S./”coalition” aircraft providing air cover for the U.S. troop invasion and against U.S. “eye in the sky” aircraft.
3) Missile attacks against the “chokepoints” that the U.S. invaders will have to use.
There are other possibilities. There’s risk to any/all of the above actions but the greater risk by far is for Russia to do nothing. Even shooting down one American plane will send a strong message to the Pentagon warmongers.
Plans usually have more than one purpose; either-or analysis misses this. They are also made to satisfy the desires of multiple groups, as politics generally works, dividing up the pies to keep all the gangsters happy. If one sector does not benefit they will try to put something in the plan for themselves, or object to ‘wasting resources’.
Good for a Hollywood plot, but in reality the U.S. is in no shape for a regional war with Russia(which is close to Syria) and Iran(which is also close to Syria and controls Iraqi peoples militias and Hezbollah).
The U.S Joint Chiefs of Staff already cautioned President Obama not long ago that the U.S. needs at least until 2022 to go on a medium to large scale conflict.
The U.S. military would be treated like invaders and the Russian military are treated as liberators and heroes, where Syrian women made a very nice, popular calendar posing with Russian flags and colors.
Anyways, Iran can saturate the region with experienced soldiers as one recent comment by a high ranking Iranian IRGC Commander, saying Iran can easily, very quickly put 5 million men under arms. Whats to stop them? Tomahawks? F-22? Btw, I heard Israel lost a F-35 over Syria in the last raid they went on.
The long reach of Russia’s Bomber Corps. makes it that they only need to take flight and over Russian itself launch long range cruise, then before impact-hyper-sonic, at U.S. Nato Warships in the Mediterranian or proximity.
The U.S. is bluffing, wants a bigger share of the already decided outcome in Syria in favor of Syria, Iran, Iraq, Russia, China and last but not least, Hezbollah(which has grown big muscles in Syria, to the detriment of Israel).
TO: Richard Steven Hack
The 36 missing missiles is a key to solving the riddles. 4 possibilities:
1. The other 36 missiles were used against ISIS targets.
2. The US Navy only launched 24 Tomahawks and said they launched 60.
3. The Russians and/or the Syrians managed to destroy/deflect 36 missiles.
4. Unlikely since these were 2015 production, but the Tomahawks could have been defective.
If the truth is 1. or 2., then Trump was pretending to do more than he did, and therefore did not want to do much or perhaps he didn’t even want to do the attack. The targeted airbase was obviously not of great importance to the Syrians, and the advance warning to Russia, Syria and … to ISIS also, implies that this was all a game.
If the truth is 3., then your thesis that this was an attempt to “crack” the secrets of the Russian air defense system has a chance, but only a small chance of being correct. It’s ancient warcraft to deploy some inexpensive troops/baubles/hardware to trick the enemy into disclosing how they will respond. But it’s equally ancient warcraft to not take the bait but to keep one’s dispositions secret.
If there’s one thing I can believe about Russian warcraft, it’s that they do keep secrets very well.
If the truth is 4., then we don’t get any reading on Trump’s intentions, but Trump and the military would have been shocked to find their equipment is junk. I don’t believe this possibility because the Tomahawk is an old weapon, and all the flaws would have been fixed a very long time ago, no matter how much tax money was wasted on the fixes.
In short, I think your analysis on the Tomahawks is not well-reasoned.
Your idea that the US could do an incremental “internal” invasion of Syria is more reasoned. The Pentagon is already doing this on a small scale. You imply that the Russians and Syrians don’t have any effective way to counter a creeping invasion, and I think (and hope) that is incorrect. First, Syria can appeal to international law. With elections in Europe, this appeal can cause Washington to hesitate. Second, the most immediate use of US troops in Syria is to strengthen the Kurds, and that only further estranges Turkey from the US. I suspect there are other impediments that the Syrians and Russia can cook up. If the US has heavy combat losses, that will not be well-received in the US, even if the military is all professionals.
The scenario you describe would probably trigger WWIII. Russian and Iran are not entirely powerless at present. What they can do is concentrate on securing as much territory presently under their control. They have been making impressive gains in Hama as of late almost as if they know something is under way. I don’t think any amount of support that the US, Saudi Arabia and Qatar can provide at this point can reverse the tide.
Rumors of a coup in Qatar. The ruling family appears to have split into three factions with different interests. If the story is sound, things could get very interesting.

To be Trumped by a buffoon fits the American way well, it’s so Hollywood, but aren’t the Yanks still doing it better?
….As charades go question is: can the Don’s script writers ever come up with scenes that beat having his generals stand behind him ostentatiously applauding and laughing at his every joke like Kim’s do? – what a star turn…..and as for the N. Korean parades, well!
Rather the Yankee way seems more “Et tu, Brute”, although, trust a billionaire real estate developer? – cough cough, suits him.
Can anyone remember when the US last won a war, except for chaos, death, destruction and looting – them’s banker’s wars –
Away from the military who’ve been at least 10 stops overexposed this century, here is a long piece on neo fakery –

If Trump is really trying to perform all these strategic chess moves, he’s suicidal. Strategy never succeeds.
Russia has a reputation for playing chess, but in fact all Russia ever does is PROTECT RUSSIA.
That’s the key to survival at any scale, whether you’re a homeowner dealing with burglars or a nation dealing with invaders. Good fences, good locks, good walls, good anti-aircraft systems.
Don’t start a fight. Protect your own territory.
Trump’s campaign promises were close to these two rules, and he should have simply followed these two rules. I don’t think he had any intention of doing this, but it would have been the best plan.
The US must separate China from Russia. Russia is the immovable force.
However, analysts and strategists do not understand that the Chinese know they must have Russia with them to survive. The Chinese rush into Russia with large financial backing when sanctions hit the ruble and Russia’s economy fell in 2014-2015 should be seen as lifeline using the one thing Russia needed—liquidity.
China is the opposite. China does not know how to defend itself militarily and geopolitically without Russia’s defense systems, tactics and savvy. They see Putin, with one tenth the wealth and resources globally of China, intimidate the Hegemon. They know they cannot stand alone as the Russians can and do.
And they know China is not as welcome as Russia is to be deeply involved with many Eurasian nations in security. And without a secure Eurasia, China would be suffocated under its own internal burdens and lack of necessary imports—specifically, energy and food. These she gets from Russia and is guaranteed half-century supply from a very reliable partner.
So, no deal can break these bonds between China and Russia. They are existential bonds, umbilicals to one another.
As for Korea, unlike Ukraine, Koreans in the North would welcome their brothers who fought and died with them in the Korean War. If the US and the South make a move against the regime (other than a surgical decapitation, probably mythical in reality), China will move into the North and prevent a Hegemonic takeover.
They cannot allow North Korea to fall into US hands. Nor would Russia stand by.
There would be Russian assistance to the North Korean people and China. Russia fought for North Korea with airpower in the Korean War. And they would not want the Hegemon one mile closer than the 38th Parallel.
So, whatever gambit we think we see, that may be Trump’s shrewd move to slice the tightest strategic partnership opposing the Hegemon, it will not work. It benefits only the US. China gets nothing from anything the US offers. And threats to China in the South China Sea, or attempts to contain China will be met with a combined naval force of China-Russia. They exercise together just for this event.
The table stakes of the game Trump and the Deep State and US Military is playing are nuclear. They are not tactical. They are strategic and existential and therefore nuclear. Neither China nor Russia will be contained without the globe being engulfed in nuclear conflict. It may be small tactical nukes in the first hours, but it will go terminal for life on the planet quickly. Two superpowers are not going to kneel and kiss the Hegemon’s ring.
It is a civilizational challenge the US is trying to bluff. Putin and Xi are not suckers at the table. The US is in for great disappointment.
One reason Trump has not met with Putin is he cannot match up with the Russian. Trump is 6-8 years too early with weapons development and force buildup he hopes to achieve, and 4 years too late geopolitically. Russia and China have built their relationship personally, economically, militarily and geopolitically. They act in unison on all important diplomatic and geopolitical matters.
Trump can’t use Tomahawks or MOABs to coerce China or Russia to do anything. They are not Syria or Afghanistan. And those are the very hard facts of life Donald Trump and his puppet masters are facing.
Put it into Wisdom Years, China is at least 4000 years wise, and Russia is 1000 years wise, and the US is in its infancy, 228 years old and still dirtying its diapers in Wisdom Years. It can stink things up, but it needs a nanny to clean up its mess.
This is pure fantasy of “Geopolitical” claptrap.
The issue is this, that the British have set a trap intended to prevent the United States from coming together with the Russians and Chinese, per their offers with the One Belt and New Silk Road proposals. If President Trump would take this up, which is the big deal, then “Geopolitics” would be over, but the British. through its Deep State assets, which includes the insane Zionists and Saudi’s are willing to start World War III than allow the Russians Chinese and Americans from coming together.
The operation is actually plain to see. The Russia connection against Trump came from British sources. Now we have the Russians at the UN Security Council on April 12th specifically addressing the British saying that they were afraid of Russia and America coming together.
One of the problems is that Trump is not very well briefed, he is susceptible to being maneuvered into all these power games which are a false paradigm when seen from the perspective of the ideas of mutual development that the One Belt and New Silk Road initiatives represent.
Look- “The Bitch Set Him Up” the title of this statement from LaRouchePac
http://larouchepub.com/eiw/public/2017/2017_10-19/2017-15/pdf/02-03_4415.pdf
I don’t find your article or your comment to be more interesting or intelligent that Larchmonter’s Mr Marshall – to set yourself you like that with your first sentence doesn’t really make you appear smarter than Larchmonter who always gives thoughtful comments –
Anyway I didn’t agree with LaRouche’s – or one of his people – bitch set him up article at all – I thought maybe the ‘bitch’ was his damn daughter – who I think may have been instrumental in this whole nightmare turnabout of Trump…but once its gone – what does it matter that the cow ate it ?
Ann, so you are here to judge upon the criteria of a comment as “interesting and intelligent”, but when I read a commentator such as Larchmonter state in his first sentence that “The US must separate China from Russia.” well then I am inclined to challenge such a premise that is nothing other than a call for World War III. I would be careful about what is “interesting and intelligent” if one is chasing a shadow play in Plato’s cave.
Now where does such a strategy come from. Well if you have ever heard of the term “The Great Game” then you would understand that this is a term coined by the British that designated the play for world domination, to which the British Empire, a sea based power, has always worked to prevent
land based nations from working together. Thus Europe was perpetually maneuvered by the British to keep rivalries going, to prevent alliances and economic cooperation, and the same strategy is for
Asia, where the “Great Game” game is played out.
Ivanka, well yes a dupe, married to a likely asset if not outright agent of the Anglo-Zionist criminal terrorist networks….but she is ‘daddy’s girl” but the Queen of England and what she heads and represents, well that is a traditional, historical and the present prescient target of the United States of America, as an enemy of our Republic.
While invoking the Queen may seem absurd to many, the fact is that it is that it is a historical truth, and useful to direct focus upon the locus of those actions which are opposed to that which the strategic pivot and end game for the ‘Great Game’ that the “One Belt/New Silk Road” represent.
While Larchmonter might belittle the United States, as young, it is actually the traditional standard bearers of civilization in China and Russia, that would not fall to such absurd degenerations of the mission of the United States, in principle echoing work and traditions of Sun Yat Sen and Puskin as prime examples.

The owners of US have ca $500billion invested in China (which let´s not forget is basically a fascist state where people work for 10% of US labour costs and have no political voice whatsover – a veritable capitalist´s paradise!); NK has over 1million soldiers who I feel sure would overrun Seoul in very short order if required to.
Meantime, the Russian Pacific fleet is based in Vladivostok, ca 10km north of NK border. I conclude that Russia is the target of the THAADs in South Korea. It can be seen in the context of US moves against Russia in the Ukraine coup d´état (Black Sea fleet in Crimea); military build-ups in Poland (Baltic fleet in Kaliningrad) and Norway (Arctic fleet in Archangelsk)
Yup that is interesting thought, a kind of “distraction focus.”
The GANA (Global Alternate News Alliance) is awash with frank discussions dealing with the madness of 21st century American foreign policy and it’s overt propensity for western empire expansion. Whether in the Middle East, Eastern Europe, East Asia or Africa, the march towards war conflict on a planetary scale, progresses unimpeded. Diplomacy based upon rational behavior is a blunt arrow that cannot penetrate the hard, putrid carbuncle that is a fitting description of the militarist mentality now in control of the scepter of power in Washington, DC.
This destructive, imperialistic aggression, a vestige that should have been abandoned long ago, remains in the psyche of American leadership. Militarism continues to thrive because the indigenous people of the land surrounded by two giant moats, are bred generation after generation, to worship the uniform of death. They are led to believe that killing others in far away places assures their survival, their way of life. Every measure of cognitive resistance is overwhelmed by the vicarious sensations of depravity, debauchery and other superficial pleasures that turn the population into seekers of wanton lust and material acquisition. The bomb has become America’s phallic symbol, its talisman to ward off any challenge by intelligent humans to stop them.
Russia, China, Iran and other sovereign nations around the world are in denial if they fail to look back at thousands of years of history to see the vile brew that is being created in the Western Hemisphere today. Mao Zedong, Adolf Hitler, Hideki Tojo, Pol Pot, Ismail Pasha, Mengistu Mariam, etc. are men who lusted for power and embraced a perverse pathology that human killing becomes their personal burnt offering to Lucifer himself. By doing so, the Lord of Perdition grants these despots magnificence and glory to rule the Earth. Even Genghis Khan said, “The greatest happiness is to scatter your enemy to drive him before you, to see his cities reduced to ashes, to see those who love him shrouded in tears, and to gather into your bosom his wives and daughters.”
When will the sane leaders of the planet thrust the spear of justice into the heart of the western beast and kill it before it is too late?
@pokethetruth: When will the sane leaders of the planet thrust the spear of justice into the heart of the western beast and kill it before it is too late?
I think it’s happening even as you type, but it just doesn’t “look” like what you/we/the “west” expect the “push back” to look like, so it is not being “seen”.
Here’s more on One Belt One Road, update today: this geopolitical tsunami is building way out to see, unseen, but in just a few short years , will sweep current geopolitics aside:
One Belt One Road
Two years ago it was “preposterous” to suggest Donald J Trump would be the 45th President of the United States of America.
In two years time – if WW3 has not become “kinetic” it will be preposterous to not have foreseen the geopolitical tsunami to be unleashed by
OBOR.
News today: Reuters: WORLD NEWS | Tue Apr 18, 2017 | 6:16am EDT
China to gather friends for biggest summit of year on New Silk Road
China will gather its friends and allies together for its biggest diplomatic event of the year in May, a summit on its New Silk Road plan, with most Asian leaders due to attend but only one from a G7 nation, the Italian prime minister.
…..*** pop quiz! here people – which G7 member spoke out strongly AGAINST further sanctions on Russia just last week? Correct! Italy, at the G7 meeting in, Italy!….
…….. So who is lining up at this massive global trade and investment buffet, dinner plate in hand, ready to feast???? …..:
{Chinese} Foreign Minister Wang Yi announced a list of those attending the conference, including some of China’s most reliable allies – Russian President Vladimir Putin, Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen.
Myanmar’s Aung San Suu Kyi, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak and Indonesian President Joko Widodo are coming too, all generally good partners of China.
“One Belt, One Road is to date the most important public good China has given to the world, first proposed by China but for all countries to enjoy,” Wang said.
“The culture and historical genes of One Belt, One Road come from the old Silk Road, so it takes Eurasia as its main region,” he said, adding that representatives of 110 countries would attend.
Trump won the presidential election, but in the key first few weeks Putin headed for the hills because of the massive zionist “russia fixed the US election and Trump is Putin’s puppet” psy-op in the mainstream and Soros fake indy media outlets. This led to a vacuum around Trump into which poured all of Clinton’s warmongers.
When bullies attack with a campaign of slander, you should take them head on, but Putin- advised by the same zionists in his inner circle, ‘backed away’ to give Trump ‘time’ – and now we have Trump running amok- having gone from a peace loving businessman of the world to a drooling ‘strongman’, waving his big stick and desperately looking for people he can get away with hitting with it.
But when Trump was first elected, he was a blank piece of paper- and the game was down to the first team to make their mark on this ‘paper’- and that team certainly wasn’t on our side. You see, propaganda works in the long run. It makes good people doubt themselves and self-censor. If only Putin had ignored the demonising press, and grasped Trump by the hand in the first few days- pushing to meet Trump’s (naive) anti-ISIS ideas, the world would now be in a ***very*** different place.
Putin’s massive mistake leaves Russia no choice but to step up and play the ***hardest*** man on the field. Only absolute forceful resolve will now impress Trump enough to ignore his Team Clinton inner circle. Russia must loudly say “no” to America and so must China. America’s instincts are always to never directly confront either China or Russia. Anything short of this will allow the insane bloodlust of Trump to be ‘sated’ in one catastophic act of mega aggression or another. And this means a massive pre-emptive strike against Iran or North Korea.
North Korea is all ‘wrong’, of course, to even the worst warmongers with a functioning braincell. N Korea is a consequence of the US invasion of S Korea- designed purely to prevent the re-unification of Korea- because Japan would immediately attack Korea the moment reunification was on the cards to prevent Korea from supplanting Japan as the no.2 regional power. N. Korea is not the ‘bad guy’ in this picture, Japan is- a racist xenophobic society with an eternal history of being the worst kind of regional ‘bully’. After WW2, America prevented societal reforms in Japan that would have ended Japan’s long running wickedness. Instead, Japan had a lid firmly welded onto the pressure cooker by the Americans while Japan was made a first class ***nuclear*** industrialised nation.
But the demons weren’t certain they could get Trump to do their bidding in the Middle East, so turned Trump’s attention to N Korea- hoping that once his blood lust rose high enough, they could re-target him at Iran. But, in a pinch, the demons will take the ‘risk’ of trying to ignite WW3 thru an unthikably bloody region conflict in the Far East. Essentially the plan is to get Trump to massively strike Iran the moment the Korean project spirals out of control. So if the Korean conflict goes nuclear, Trump will offer this as ‘proof’ that the USA must nuke Iran to stop Iran going ‘nuclear’ like N Korea.
However, such high stakes have other highly placed people who are ***not*** the direct servants of the demons rushing to try to prevent Trump from acting in a way the Human Race will soon regret. These include many people in postions of high power in the US armed services and the US Intelligence communities. Remember how ‘Operation Northwoods’, the prototype for the 9/11 false flag that originally intended to frame Cuba in the 1960s, came within a hairs-breadth of proceeding? This is why the demons used the tactic of sasying to Trump “you must be strong where Clinton, Bush and Obama proved weak”. Tony Blair used the same siren argument to persuade the people who really ran America at the time of the Bush presidency to go ahead with 9/11.
And to force Trump’s hand, an astonishing amount of US military hardware has been sailed to Korea. The plan is air strikes of a level never before witnessed in Human History followed by a rapid invasion. But the demons know this ‘clean’ plan is an utter joke, and would immediately start to unravel, leading to an ever spreading regional conflict in the nature of the early stages of WW1.
PS it seems like we can maybe breathe a little better now. The snap election announced in the UK is a clear attempt to stop Trump attacking Korea for the duration of the election campaign- which while short is just long enough to disrupt the US naval planning around Korea. The demons of the Deep State rely on a lot of very powerful people to serve them by ‘accident’, and many of these people freak out when a stupid ‘unwanted’ global war seems imminent. And the real US plan was always to attack Iran, ***not*** N Korea. So, behind the scenes in Washington and London, people ‘accidentally’ loyal to the demons are arguing about the ‘merits’ or otherwise of letting Trump attack N Korea, and most of them are calling such plans crazy and without any possible upside. They are also almost certainly offering to back new false-flag plans that would allow an escalation of American actions against Syria and Iran – and promising to help turn the screws against Russia even harder if only N Korea is left safe from attack.
Let’s all be clear about where the problem lies in the Korea crisis.
The facts are very telling
http://www.4thmedia.org/2017/04/the-problem-is-washington-not-north-korea/
Except for the fact that Trump is just along for the ride, so to speak, as many on this thread have already pointed out, your article still implies that there is an immense Machiavellian calculus behind what is happening, and that either Trump or the deep state are playing 4D chess.
I hate to break it to you, but the simpler explanation is that these people are simply fumbling their way forward, informed by doctrinaire ideological templates with barely any relationship to the realities of the world. Just look at Trump’s statement: We are sending an armada, very powerful. We have submarines, very powerful, far more powerful than the aircraft carrier, that I can tell you.
This is how you mutter to your dog when you let it out. Come back Ludwig. I said: Come back here!
Saker – you have hit another home run. Thank you for your deep insights. I have thought about what is happening.
President Trump/Pentagon has led the US into the jaws of a dilemma. There is not history of animosity between Russia and China (shall we say the Bear and the Dragon), unlike Japan and Korea – both having a long standing history of aggression or conflict with both the Bear and the Dragon.
Therefore, the Bear and the Dragon are playing the long game – together. Putin is making small but strategically secure steps to establish his regional dominance and is prepared to take his time. As far as I can see, he has no designs on global dominance but instead has an interest in influence over central Asia. China is returning to their traditional historical economic position in the world, after a long AngloZionist-induced hiatus (if I may borrow your terminology) from the world stage. China and Russia may even revive the Silk Road as a globally important trading and transit vector, further integrating Central Asia (and importantly Turkey) to the world stage. Against this background Europe may lapse back into the dark ages, if they are not very careful, as they were some 1000 years earlier.
Now we have the newcomers, the short term thinkers historically speaking, the United States. As I see it, America is in an indefensible position – led to the brink of war with a tiny country in perhaps the most dangerous part of the world. On one side a modern, advanced, nuclear power (the Dragon) with a force 2.2 million strong. On the other side a revitalized, advanced, nuclear power (the Bear) with a force 1.2 million strong. In addition, their target, the DPRK, has an army some 1.5 million strong with nuclear weapons (yet primitive delivery), 200,000 special forces and some 10,000 artillery pointed at Seoul with a population of 20 million. If war were triggered, Seoul would probably be reduced to dust in a matter of hours. It would become another Aleppo.
So Trump has no real leverage over the Bear and the Dragon – and they know this. China has an important trade relationship with the United States – and they will continue to exploit this to their benefit. A crumb of a concession or two will be offered by them simply to keep the Pentagon spending money like a drunken sailor, exhausting their blood and increasingly scarce wealth and accelerating the ultimate demise (or collapse) of the AngloZionist Empire. And the Bear and the Dragon will neither fire a shot nor experience a single casualty to achieve this result. Such is the tragic and desperate position (speaking from an historical perspective) that the deep state and the Americans now find themselves; sadly being completely blind to it – due to hubris and pride.
Having stood back and looked at how things are developing, I see many parallels with the collapse of the USSR and the destruction of Russia. I am wondering if history will view Obama as a Gorbachev and whether Donald Trump will be remembered as the Boris Yeltsin of America’s history – that is – a bumbling yet popular nationalist politician residing over the destruction and looting of the American project in the same way as Yeltsin over Russia? Or will Trump become another Putin, and try instead to rebuild his nation? It is still early days – but the indications so far are not good.

While this article appears on the Saker site, and thus can be construed to be endorsed by him, it is in fact written by “by Ghassan Kadi”
Author’s by-lines appear on 99% of articles.
Just a tip.
Yes I noticed this once posted – my sincere apologies go to Ghassan Kadi – thank you for the opportunity to correct it. Mr Kadi I congratulate you on your excellent insights.
I also meant to include my further concerns about China. China, in my view, currently occupies a similar position to that of the United States during the late 1800’s. They are an emerging world economic power with a growing global economic and military presence, but they are now, as the United States was then, a reluctant and disinterested participant in external military conflicts.
It took first the Spanish American War and WW1 (along with the Federal Reserve and Federal Income Tax Acts) to lay the foundations for a lust for global military hegemony that has led the United States to where it is today.
What happens if the United States’ actions drive China into direct military confrontation with the DPRK? While at initial blush this could be viewed as a success for the Trump administration, my fear is that this could embolden China – creating a lust for intervention and power just as happened to the United States a century ago.
a powerful analogy in the last paragraph of your comment! You may be 100 % right..
Brilliant analysis, far more convincing than T Meyssan’s.
Unfortunately for Trump there is no bankruptcy fallback for losing major wars, which is better for the world.
By default a military without a head tends to fall into pieces which tends to fight themself.
Trump may think that he can frighten sane people in Russia China etc with a game of chicken –
I think Ghassan that this is a very good explanation of what’s happened – especially the part about Trump finally realizing how tanked the American economy is. What a nasty fellow he must be –
Well, to be honest, for some unknown reason I feel better about Trump trying to bully China, than Trump trying to bully Russia, but I don’t know why I feel this way, and I’ve made so many mistakes this election season that I really doubt myself now in everything but knowing that I don’t want a nuclear war –
For some reason also, you’re article has put Trump’s betrayal into a perspective that I can momentarily fathom- its still so bizarre to me…yet I agree that we shouldn’t give the guy ‘free rent in our head’ over the why’s of it all.
thanks Ghassan, and greetings to your sweet wife too – I forgot her name.
Ann, This is not a game of chicken, this is a case of boy crying wolf.
In diplomacy, trust is paramount. So in short one Weeks, Trump made a U turn and bombed Syria, on dubious claim, then he drum up condemnation of North Korea, and claim an armada is on the way to deal with NK.
Since the armada is thousands miles away, is North Korea really as bad as Trump made out to? Can we really trust American foreign policy?
Whoever running the show in US is not sane.
The news reported by the NYT, that last Saturday when Trump’s ARMADA was steaming towards Korea, it lead air-craft carrier was actually in the Sunda Straits near Jakarta, and heading south.
So in fact the US threats against N Korea were as hollow as North Korea’s missile launch.
Compare this with the sounding off when the Kusnetsov passed through the English Channel on the way to the Med, and was both screeched over and ridiculed.
We also should consider the apparent movement of the USS Ross from its base in Spain, the day before the Khan Shaikoun ‘attack’….
Also note that only a week ago we were on the verge of nuclear war with Russia, but now we are just back to idle normal, until the next Trump stunt. Meanwhile Mattis is in Riyadh and Tel Aviv and Doha…
Trump appears to be little more than a cream puff, and with about as much understanding of what he is doing.
We know the kinetic and media warfare but how about the most important – economic?
The use of the MOAB against what proved to be an ISIS infantry company actually indicates that General Nicholson and his staff are in a state of despair and panic over the situation in Afghanistan. Apparently the rate of loss to all their opponents, Taliban, al-Qaeda and ISIS, is increasing. Afghanistan might actually be lost on their watch.
Does the MOAB on Afghanistan remind anyone of the two nukes on Japan? A pathetic imitation, for sure, but with the same intention.
Of course Trump isn’t in charge yet. If ever. He’s trapped in the matrix of fear and control.

The same goes for your sick sister Angela….she slipped down the British elevator
And met MI-6 in England without her German Intelligence….pathetic, stupid traitor!
Here’s the background inspiration:
“This is the ubiquitous British hand–spying, blackmail, lying, controlling.
No mere “domestic” scandals, the danger of these British operations being allowed to continue, is the threat of provoking strife and warfare on the model of “East vs. West” confrontations, such as NATO vs. Russia, or the USA/South Korea vs. North Korea, which can result in annihilation by nuclear war. Already, the toll of suffering and death from years of this confrontation policy –often going by the name of “responsibility to protect,” or “show of force,” is horrible.
The significance of the Belt and Road summit in May, is that it stands as a marker of a new paradigm, putting an end to the era of destruction. Chinese Minister Wang said the forum will be the highest level international meeting since Pres. Xi Jinping first announced the New Silk Road in late 2013. Wang spoke of its importance for betterment of global governance, and for bringing about justice for all.”
Oh, the German sick sister diagnosis, insight into how Murk-all fell under the thrall, of the original NAZI’s of Fear and Control, the British Empire Occultocracy:
“Meantime, the British Empire “element” is ever more exposed and vulnerable. The latest scandal to come out, concerns how the three top British intelligence agencies had German Chancellor Angel Merkel come to them secretly in England, at least twice, to receive a private briefing on what is reported as terror threats against Germany, unbeknownst to her own intelligence services. They were kept umaware. The story was broken a few days ago by Focus, the second-largest weekly in Germany, whose sources (names withheld) in German security services, are enraged. They raise the question of treason. Merkel never attended meetings with her own security agencies. “Why then, is she travelling to England–doesn’t she trust her own people anymore?”
Merkel’s last such secret meeting took place in Chequers, at the country estate of then-Prime Minister David Cameron, in October 2015. The heads of MI5 and MI6 were present, as was Robert Hannigan, head of GCHQ. This is the same time frame, as the already-exposed GCHQ surveillance of Trump and associates for alleged “Russian” connections. (Hannigan suddenly resigned in January, 2017, as the heat flared up on Trump surveillance). This is the ubiquitous British hand–spying, blackmail, lying, controlling.”

All the focus on Donald Trump and his policies is immaterial.
The American Left/Progressives love to spout tired rhetoric about fascism and how Trump is a Hiterlian-style fascist or a warmonger–much as they did under the Bush Regime.
But they conveniently overlook how Trump’s foreign policy is merely an intensified continuation of America’s last War Criminal in Chief, the progressive Barack Obama.
It was Obama and the American progressives who started the anti-Syrian jihadist war.
It was Obama and the American progressives who started the Ukraine civil war and resulting hysterics against Russia.
It was Obama and the American progressives who started the US Pivot to Asia against China.
The point is: the American Empire remains constant, regardless of who is in power.
The various “political divisions” in the USA between Left Wing/Right Wing or Democrat/Republican are just a factional dispute over who currently is directing the American Empire.
Most of what passes for political opposition or dissent in America is a controlled opposition or phony dissent. There is no true “antiwar”–let alone “anti-imperialist”–movement in the USA.
The Americans are imperialists through and through. The only disputes among them are about the best tactics to use to sate American’s lust for unipolar rule over the planet.
Indeed, USA was spawned as a Euro-American colonizer state, much like, its close ally of Israel.
And deep down, the Americans believe they are God’s chosen empire.
Partially responds to “Anonymous comment on April 18, 2017 · at 6:56 pm UTC”.
Please correct me where I am wrong.
Imagine, foreign ships sailed to USA cost near New York, fired 59 missiles to nearby US airbase, killed few … These ships would be immediately destroyed by American patriots in routine defense.
When Russia did not do the same sinking of offending missile ships on April 6, she gave a hint: she won’t intervene if USA will even carpet bomb SAA.
Of course, when R. came in 2015, she should make her mind to shoot or not to shoot if US / Syria war breaks. Apparently, the policy is not to shoot. This means an entire adventure bound to fail and entering the Syria theater is completely useless except of demonstration how well R abides the laws over corpse of Syria.
Shoot / not to shoot has nothing to do with nuclear risk which is based on N. parity. If parity was not in R favor, she would be a dust a ten years before.
Therefore, there is no sense for USA not to destroy SAA piece by piece. Who cares?
Then Syria falls, and R is pushed back to her borders. Then? Then the policy may be change.
With non-attacking, R. spoils own reputation by missing straight moral stand. There are thousand pros against moral stand, “non-legal”, “carefulness”, “internal opposition”, loss of life”, “nuclear risk” … But people’s minds, in both opponent and friend camps, still respect when one is just flat fair.
I think, this would be a good idea to put the policy “if … to shoot” in referendum in Russia. Why not to say to people directly: “Hey, we may by-stand, but the Daesh/Al-Quaeda will be in Damascus. Then good bye Syrian friends, culture, precious social diversity, and democracy.” In Soviet Russia, memories about Spain Civil War 1930s were sacred.
PS:
It is also interesting why USA did the missile attack. Chem. attack, USA knows, this was a bluff. According to above logic, they simply tested R. There is no other reason. Unless US government is in complete disarray. Like wolf, as it said, before an attack, makes circles around a human testing him for a fear.
R. is also a “lunatic” in diplomacy. Aways tries to sign agreements with USA which cannot be kept while the partner is crazy, non-aggeable (separation of Al-Quaeda/moderates), and ignores the laws.
Negotiation must wait till and for reasonable partner.
Otherwise, R only loose and continue loosing, by
1. loosing time,
2. spoiling relations with Iran, Syria,
3. helping terrorists,
4. when agreements are broken, the part of moral responsibility is on both,
R. possibly “fools” own self because:
She was not in the same skin as Iran, which stood alone for decades against all of the World and has no illusions about USA. Her diplomats still remember reasonable leaders in the past: Reagan, …
The same dishonesty was in Donbass when advance of rebells was artificially frozen in 2014. What for? Russian reputation could not be damaged any worse. NATO did not attack R. calculating not having enough advantage.
Result is continued slaughter of Donetzk for 2 years. Today, militia in Donbass a bit demoralized, “what for we fight”, why these Minsk agreements? …
Russian government mantra “Ukranians are our brothers in blood” … is this not a self deception? Yes, this is what every Soviet pioneer has been taught, but reality is that these “brothers” do not stand up against Nazi propaganda and disprove this mantra every day. Why not to face a reality and let one rip what one saws?
Thank you, Mr. Kadi, this is a very interesting article, especially the part about North Korea as an excuse for the Trump administration to encircle China: “Trump now wants to bring the war closer to China’s borders. He wants to turn Korea into Obama’s Ukraine.”
I would add that Russia’s Pacific coast too, with Vladivostok nearby, is also the United States’ real target, in addition to China.

Something is rotten in Denmark.
Excellent article-Korea is an attack on China-they would love for it to be China’s Ukraine-If Trump attacks North Korea ,is there any doubt that it would morph into a blockade of China-I cannot see how Chna & Russia could permit a Western occupation of North Korea and it would be hard to see how the West could do it-it would more likely end up in an American defeat and a reformed North
Korea tightly aligned with China-If Seoul was attacked or destroyed that may take down the Western
financial system-that leads me to conclude the western attack on Russia will occur in Syria and/or
Ukraine–love the way Lavrov put down a marker on North Korea- America would face North Korea ,China & Russia-so they will not do it-Watch Syria
Looking at these comments it looks like these liberals are in no way aware of history. The Russians and the United States must join forces to stop communist China. Our populations are both comprised of majority Gaul ancestry. The world in its current state is unsustainable. President Trump has the will to topple the globalists. God fearing men like Donald Trump need the grace of Holy Spirit to make decisions for the common good. Don’t underestimate the power of God. Please pray for Donald Trump.
Strange. To most people here Trump is beginning to look like the globalists wet dream come true.
Although it’s likely that most major world events are scripted from start to finish, I wish, in a normal world if indeed that exists that all nations would gather and tell the meddling USA to get stuffed. I care not for their influence, their arrogance and their belief in the right to tell the rest of us to follow their lead. This is coming from downunder, so a so called western democracy. Sort your own internal issues out America. Stop lecturing the world when you can’t get your own house in order. Get stuffed USA.
