I was on my way to the cafe to do business when you waylaid me with this Irish and French romance. I was living in Ireland on the border of Clare and Galway on 9/11 where Brian Boru warred and loved. Visited his residence. He still is my hero but the reality is far from that.
I need a Brian Boru to do to the empire what he did to the vikings, drive them from our land. The Irish finally did that to the bloody English except for the broken piece in the north. But now the vikings are back in the form of the English Empire redux Americana. We have to drive the vandals from the planet.
Like I said, I was on my way to the cafe. But this made my day. I could hug and kiss you all if this computer was not in the way. I’m an insufferable romantic with a mean streak. I can remember walking the green hills of Clare with a hatchet in my hand along a fence line. I had Brian in my head as I drove the hatchet into the top of the fence posts, imagining myself doing what he did. What folly?
Oh, but the crack was good in the pubs and the music better. Sad and glad in mixed up company.
