Saker is attending his mother funeral at this time. Scott and myself (webmaster) have been tasked with providing support during this time. Early this morning an open thread post was open so that the Saker community could discuss the downing of the SU-24. Scott followed by posting a SitRep. While we await Saker’s analysis I found the following links quite interesting.

Might this not be a good moment for Russia to prosecute (if possible; if not, then to educate the world during this eminently teachable moment) over Turkish facilitation of the chemical gas attack in Gouta?
Beside the somewhat petty reason that I’m tired of hearing about the imaginary Assad crossing of Obama’s chemical weapons redline, the fact is that repetition of this nonsense has had the desired effect of bamboozling the American public (and doubtless much of the European public).
Putin (God bless him) would like to appeal to the better angels of even the Turks, Saudis, Qataris and Americans. Clearly, the Turks are not going to be amenable to acting more civilized in the near future. Thus, being made a pariah seems to be the only option left.
Also, if things end up coming down to war between Russia and Turkey, it will be easier to the rest of NATO to abandon Turkey if they’re widely viewed as terrorist facilitating war criminals.
That’s avery good thought.
” if things end up coming down to war between Russia and Turkey, it will be easier to the rest of NATO to abandon Turkey if they’re widely viewed as terrorist facilitating war criminals.”
You are making it sound as if Turkey took the decision to shoot down the war plane. Turkey obeys its masters in NATO (US). NATO itself is a terrorist organisation, all it did since it was created, is terrorising other countries.
Let’s say that you’re 100% correct. (Though the brilliant Trifkovic believes you are likely wrong. See http://tinyurl.com/nltqo6o ).
NATO is not monolithic, and getting, say, France and Germany to publicly and credibly condemn Turkey’s facilitation of ISIS might also lead to them abstaining from a Russo-Turkish war.
I think the key will be to somehow educate the French and German publics, and not to confine themselves to official pronouncements, appeals to French and German politicians, etc. Also, the business communities in France and Germany might be directly lobbied, and/or directly and publicly addressed (via full page ads in newspapers, e.g.).
If anyone ever believed that Fashington lackeys may actually act in any kind of incoherence, they must have been cured of their delusion no later than the anti-Russian sanctions emerged.
(And that was the EU, an organization that goes to great lengths in asserting its propaganda that it is somehow “independent”! Not NATO, where all the EU nazgûls must obey the dark lord residing in Fashinton at the snap of his fingers.)
You’re wrong. E.g., Nord Stream-2 makes Germany tighter with Russia. The US globalist elite can’t be happy about that…..
Another thought regarding elements of civil society, that are not necessarily in formal positions of power in government, that are potential allies – Russia could reach out to anti-immigration political parties in Europe (I think these are mostly right-wing, but some are left-wing) and try to enlist them with the task of educating their respective publics about Turkey’s terrorist-facilitating ways. Making an Islamist government, which seeks EU membership, into a pariah state will likely help them in their own efforts to curb immigration and Islamisation.
For one thing, the European publics should be made to understand that they can’t rely on Turkey, as a conduit for immigrants, to filter out their ISIS buddies from the bunch.
Quite the opposite….
North Atlantic Terrorist Organization abandons Turkey only when it turns into an inhabitable nuclear wasteland.
That said, I hope that his Turkish aggression (shooting down a Russian plane in the Syrian airspace even after its limited entrance into the Turkish airspace can by no means be explained as “self-defence”, as Turkey itself is guilty of committing the same “aggression” against Syria—but it is surely an act of aggression against Russia) will give the Russians a wake-up call.
For Turkish meddling in Syria and Crimea, Russia ought to have responded a long time ago by providing political support to political opponents of dictator Erdoğan and military support to the Kurds, whom Erdoğan has been bombing and murdering on a genocidal scale.
I often read people syaing that VV should back the kurds against Turkey.
As far as I’m aware the kurds are US/Israel proxy army… so doesn’t seem that relevant to me…what do you think?
Thoughts are with Russia and the heavy burden on V V Putin’s shoulders.
The Bear cannot afford to fall into the trap – ie. in war, the Straits can be closed – locking Russian warships in the Black Sea.
Every war that Russia has fought against the Ottomans/Turks has been in relation to the ‘Straits’.
Even our infamous Anzac day was born out of the ‘British we must stop Russia from getting the Straits.’
This act of shooting down the plane in conjuction with the blackout in Crimea is pure unadulterated provovation. The Oz media is pusing the “Russia has been warned many times about invading Turkey’s air space’.
I trust Putin and his team have a steady hand and clear mind to navigate these treachous waters.
Baba, Gallipoli was all about taking the Dardenelles to allow the Russian Black Sea Fleet out, not to keep it in. I despair when Australians know nothing of their own history.
The goal was to capture Constantinople before the Russians. The Russians knew that the Brits were not playing fair and strongly requested the abortion of the Gallipoli action under the threat to make peace with the Germans. The ANZACs were not beaten, they just have been sacrificed in vain. You will find this piece of secret history revealed in John Wheeler-Bennet’s book “Brest-Litovsk the Forgotten Peace, March 1918”, p.7. Australians should know and other peoples history.
Stephen… please don’t despair I do know something of the Anzac myth.
Russia’s historical mission was to control the Straits.
By late 1914 Russia had suffered heavy losses on the Eastern Front and with the Yarus and Midilli blocking her way to Constantinople. Under accusations that the burden of the war was being borne unequally by Russia, the British began to have ‘grave forebodings’ that Russians might be forced into a ‘separate peace with Germany’.
But, if Russia quit, France and Britain faced disaster because Germany would switch her Armies to the Western Front. London became preoccupied with the need to keep an increasingly reluctant Russia fighting the war.
Russia had to be reassured; had to be kept in the war but kept out of the Straits. They figured a disaster could be averted if Britain and France encouraged Russia ‘to dwell upon the prizes of victory’ – control of the Turkish Straits, with the prize being Constantinople.
The Gallipoli campaign was planned to fool the Russians. The operation was simply aborted because, despite their promises, the policy of Britain was always to prevent Russia obtaining Constantinople and the Straits.
A few sources:

Partly! But also to hopefully deny Russia the full control of the Straits when the peace settlement was made. The British didn’t think at that time all the Empire’s would collapse from the war.And didn’t want the Russians to be the ones in control of Constantinople at the end of the war.The ideas of the Great Game wasn’t ended with the war, only put on hold.
That is why the Western allies abandoned the Treaty of Sèvres of 1920.
Stephen, do you really believe that was the only British motive behind the Gallipoli campaign?
The British would certainly have been thinking of the possible war outcomes and would have been equally intent on preventing the Dardenelles from falling to Russia, which in April 1915 was still a possibility.
Historically the British have never been Russia’s friend except for brief moments of convenience.
King George V of England did not even care to offer his first cousin Czar Nicholas II and his family refuge from the Bolshevik terror.
Stephen
The purpose of the Gallipoli landings was too make it appear that the British were advancing on Constantinople but to not actually make any progress in taking it.
To keep the Russians fighting the Germans on the Eastern Front the British had to promise the Russians that they would capture Constantinople and then hand it over to Russia. But the British could not of course afford to actually give control of the Dardanelles to Russia, as this would make it a superpower to rival Britain. Hence the total catastrophe that became the Gallipoli campaign.
Recalling the most incompetent bloodthirsty upper class officer they could find to head the campaign, shelling the beaches days too early, landing at the wrong beaches, all designed to give the impression of effort without making any progress at all. All of those fine Australian and New Zealand young men butchered not to help win the war against Germany but to protect Britain’s world position AFTER the war and contain Russia in a battle that Britain never wanted to win.
And every year my fellow dazed Australians wave their little flags and march in their little processions to glorify being massacred in the name of British world hegemony on a battlefield where the British never wanted them to win. Hussar.
I despair when others know nothing of Australian history.

The Latest: Russia pilot killed by groundfire in Syria
BEIRUT (AP) — The latest on the Russian warplane shot down by Turkey on Tuesday. All times local:
8:50 p.m.
Russia’s military general staff says that one of the pilots of the Su-24 warplane that was shot down by Turkey was killed by groundfire as he parachuted from his crippled plane.
Russian news agencies reported the statement Tuesday by general staff spokesman Lt. Gen. Sergei Rudskoi, who also said that rebels in Syria fired on a Russian helicopter that was searching for the two pilots of the Su-24.
He said that shooting killed one crew member on the Mi-8 helicopter and forced it to land in neutral territory.
http://bigstory.ap.org/article/b27e9efac9ee404385e5d45cafb76489/latest-rebel-video-purports-show-russian-pilot
Someone PLEASE tell me what neutral territory exists within the flight range of a crippled Mi-8 helicopter!
The Mi-8 could not have made it to Lebanon, nor to Cyprus nor for that matter Iraq. It is a non possibility. The aircraft is either on Syrian territory or it is somewhere in Turkey.
The Russian General has very gently let the cat out of the bag.
Now also pay attention to Erdogan’s statements. He says:
“..Turkish level-headedness had prevented even graver incidents at the border.”
I know it is shocking but this is actually true! NATO and the Turkish army have been trying to provoke Russia with all their might. They are also trying to provoke Erdogan into an aggressive response in defense of the phoney Turkmen ‘rebel’ group which is nothing other than a proxy force for NATO. Turkey called in the Russian ambassador on Novemeber 20th to complain about Russian airstrikes on NATO-Turkmen forces — but the Russians continued their business as usual as NATO terrorist armies are everywhere on the run.
What did Turkey do?
Either
A) they prepared a limited operation to strike back at the Russians and reclaim a semblance of self-respect — knowing full well they can do nothing to save their terrorist proxies.
Or
B) they did nothing so the NATO-Gladio gang decided to use it as an opportunity to raise the stakes even further — but only after the spectacular failure of the Paris false flag to generate the necessary pressure for escalation permitting rapid deployment of NATO forces in Syria so as to save their terrorist proxies.
It is possible Erdogan did know of the plan to down a Russian strike aircraft but was powerless to stop it. It is possible he thought the downing of a Russian Su-24 would help him look strong and went along. It is also possible he is terrified of an imminent Turkish military coup or even for the life of his son. I don’t want to go too far with my speculations but it is clear that if Erdogan really wanted to stop the Russians he could do much, much worse than shooting down a single aircraft.
No matter what you think you know, you can be certain that Erdogan is not the driver of events. He is a tool and a megalomaniacal fool but he has absolutely nothing to gain by provoking a direct fight with Russia.
C I eh?
Erdogan has basically betrayed everybody he has associated with, but the Israelis. The latter freaks, he probably just pissed off by doing the anti-Israel theatrics a bit too “enthusiastically” in public for their liking. He and turkey make the perfect proxie for this zionazi attack on Russia to defend isreal’s failing war against Syria. Turkey and Erdogan are the perfect regional “expendables” for this zionazi gambit to save their terrorists falling apart in Syria.
@Vot tak
I agree. They are the perfect fall guys for Israel and NATO.
So we know who benefits.
And we know Turkey does not. Nor does meat puppet Sultan benefit in any way whatsoever.
I’m searching for an explanation.
whether he is a tool or in on it, Putin CANNOT let him get away from this free as a bird!!!!!
CI – Say it the way it is….terrorists ANYWHERE on the planet are a “soft power” proxy property of the wannabe American Empire.
What he meant by “neutral” territory is an area not under the full control of one side or the other. Also could be called “no mans land”.And no,Erdogon was not trying to “help” Russia. He is an insane hyena, and had the plane shot down because he is an ISIS supporter.
You might be right if reports are accurate UB.
But what the public is told is often very diferent fromm what’s said behind closed doors.
What is happening is the primary attempt to force Russia react. The shoot down military planes from Turkey in Syrian soil.
After the overthrow of SU-24 Russian, Turkey was running for NATO. If the Turkey was really attacked by Russia, NATO would intervene immediately and break any attempt to combine Western countries around the Russian military intervention against the ISIS.
But Putin plays chess and has seen this and other moves. Putin will react but not primarily, not going to divert the Mission against terrorism and in favor of political solution for Syria.
Play out that NATO intervention.
NATO attacks Latakia airbase? Or Taurus naval base?
And then?
Russia has made it crystal clear that they would use nuclear weapons if NATO attacked them.
So, play the NATO intervention.
Blockade the Straits?
Turkey would have to declare it is at war with Russia to have rights over the Straits.
Russia attacked no one. Russia made no move against Turkey.
NATO is not going to do anything about anything.
The secretary general today wet his pants just reading his US prepared script.
This doesn’t mean that Russia can win a war or even protect all its forces in Syria.
It certainly cannot attack Turkey and start anything.
Thus, Syria becomes a Russian proxy war using Kurds next. The land war phase is a proxy war for everyone except Syria. Iran has proxies and US with AQ and ISIS and Turkey with Turkmen and ISIS, and Israel with Al Nusra, all have proxies on the ground. Now Russia will have Kurds to fight and extract a huge price from Turkey.
This is manna for the Kurds. They will get armed to the teeth to fight the Turks. And all the land they can take from Turkey will be theirs.
Borders? The Kurds don’t need no stinking borders. They are going to have Kurdistan Deluxe when this war is over. Putin may even given them access to the sea and China will build the port for them.
It’s going to be bad day in Turkish history, November 24, 2015.
The gas from Qatar will never get to them. The gas from Russia they don’t want will never get to them. The pieces of Syria they stole will be lost. And the Kurds will have S300’s guarding the skies of Kurdistan when the war ends. And Syria will be a federation with Alawites running the federal government.
A tourist boycott and maybe even a wider economic boycott will seriously hurt the economy.
Erdogan will attend the funeral of many of his closest associates.
The bad Karma will be endless for the treachery and criminality of today.
I think this has to be looked at from the basics Larchmonter. Commodities and the US dollar.
The US dollar as the world reserve currency supports the US military which is the muscle for the so called anglo-zionists. Without the US military and the sanctioning ability of the US dollar, the anglo-zionists/deepstate individuals would be just common criminals.
The main commodity traded is energy – oil/gas. If the US looses in Syria, they also lose Iraq. Iraq Syria, Iran will be free to trade energy in whatever currency they choose and the dollar will start to lose its power.
I think it is for this reason that the US is prepared to go to war with any state including Russia and China that threatens the dollar hegomony.
If the US does nothing and the dollar looses its power, the US will most likely collapse similar to the USSR. IF Russia/China do nothing they will become vassals (paying tribute) to the US.
A major confrontation is inevitable.
It’s that time of history again.
Peter the overdue collapse of the Anglo-Zionist hegemon is occurring in slow motion before our eyes in any event. As inevitable a collapse as any other. It is time. Non-dollar trade is accelerating. The Empire of Chaos is built upon lies, fear and intimidation. Little else. I agree with Saker – the parallels to the Brezhnev era are striking. The West’s over indebted & leveraged economy is no longer remotely “capitalist” it is rigged by an unelected cabal of Central Bankers from Basel! Financial “markets” are a joke. The current globalist “tree growing to the moon” economic system is unsustainable. It’s broken. The world is waking up to this fact rapidly. When, not if, confidence in the USD is lost the end will come quickly.
What goes around comes around. Karma. Blowback will be a Bitch.
Breaking News:
1. The second Russian pilot was found alive by the Syrian Army and rescued behind enemy lines. According to AlMayadeenNews and Damask sources. Now, he is back on the Russian base.

2. Video of helicopter pilots rescue operation
http://rusvesna.su/news/1448419477
That’s good news, thanks Scott. An early report I saw claimed one of the crew was still alive. Great he has now been rescued.
This is good news and an eye witness account of what actually happened as well.
RR
It’s good to hear the second pilot is ok. Some early reports had it that both pilots had been killed.
It seems that the name of the killed pilot of SU24 was Oleg Peshkov and the name of the pilot who was rescued is Konstantin Murahtin.
Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on conferring state awards of three members of the operation in Syria, two of them – posthumously. This was reported by the Kremlin press service.
“For heroism, courage and bravery shown during the performance of military duty, Lieutenant Colonel Peshkov Oleg was awarded the title Hero of the Russian Federation (posthumously)” – quoted text of RIA Novosti.
Also for his courage, bravery and selflessness shown during the performance of military duty captain Konstantin Murahtin and the sailor Alexander Pozynich (posthumously) awarded the Order of Courage.

Constantine Murahtin, Lipetsk navigator, who survived the crash of the Su-24 in Syria – one of the best in the business. In July last year as part of the competition “Aviadarts” they pilot Stanislaw Hasanov were officially recognized as the best pilots of bombers in the country. Each of them was awarded for the SUV Land Rover Freelander.

Dear webmaster, Scott and other researchers, moderators, and financial donors,
Who could not have guessed that Murphy’s Law would fly in just as The Saker was flying out? Phony yet deadly “Terror” all over the western world, topped by betrayal, attack, and murder most foul — by a “partner,” yet. The witches are cackling, stirring the pot, and predicting which fatal flaw will hit the fan first. Fairies dance around funny mushrooms, while shylocks of all stripes audit their ledgers; and everywhere you look, there’s another play within another play — like those special nested dolls from Russia.
You who give your time, your talents, and your money — a little and a lot — need to know that you are appreciated so very much. Just look how you have stepped up, pitched in, and kept the information flowing. While The Saker is away, seeing to the activities surrounding the passing of his mom, life in The Vineyard goes on — fairies, witches, and all. And while bad things happen, good things also happen — one of them being this very high quality, ongoing source of information. The Vineyard of the Saker works! When good things happen, there is never a reason not to cheer. So HURRAH! and thank you.

Though one should look a bit deeper and ask:
Would the the USA order the Turkish quislings to provoke Russia in Syria without being first ordered to do this by their Israeli masters?
Since the pindos do not have an oded yinon plan, and the zionazis do, I would say the answer to that one is a resounding no.
The article in the first link is very, very good.
Tony Catalucci seems to be one of the best. along with Saker, Pepe Escobar and a couple of others
I think this is Cartalucci’s site http://landdestroyer.blogspot.com.au/
The secret is read information clearinghouse and Global Research ca for a while and check out who is published there, even if only occasionally. You can also check the authors’ index page. That, and comments, will lead you or link you to many good sites and authors (although sometimes to just one area, or with ‘kinky’ bias or viewpoint. Fortruss also has a lot of good links.
Even with the little that has been available to read on this event, so far, I am able to see the old familiar US/lackey/false-flag hokus pokus. It’s written all over it! In any event, the essence of it all is: a mad, anglo/jewish, power elite, risking ALL life on earth that they might, for an instant in time, rule the universe.

Tony Cartalucci is just out with an article for New Eastern Outlook:
Russian War Plane Down: NATO’s Act of War http://journal-neo.org/2015/11/24/russian-warplane-down-natos-act-of-war/
suggests that Russia will more than likely react by not being provoked by one pilot casualty to alter a strategy that is working so well that Erdogan takes desperate measures to try to stop it.
concluding section:
“The endgame is at hand, and only the most desperate measures can hope to prevent Russia and Syria from finally securing Syria’s borders. Turkey’s provocation is just such a measure.
Russia’s time, place, and method of retaliating against Turkey is something only the Kremlin will know. But Russia’s actions upon the international stage have been so far thoroughly thought out, allowing Moscow to outmaneuver the West at every juncture and in the wake of every Western provocation.
For Turkey’s government – one that has been consistent only in its constant failure regarding its proxy war against its neighbor Syria, who has been caught planning false flag provocations to trigger wider and more direct war in Syria, and whose government is now exposed and widely known to be directly feeding, not fighting ISIS – the prospect of Russian retaliation against it, either directly or indirectly, and in whatever form will leave it increasingly isolated.
Until then, Russia’s best bet is to simply continue winning the war. Taking the Jarabulus-Afrin corridor and fortifying it against NATO incursions while cutting off ISIS and other terrorist factions deeper within Syria would be perhaps the worst of all possible retaliations. With Syria secured, an alternative arc of influence will exist within the Middle East, one that will inevitably work against Saudi and other Persian Gulf regimes’ efforts in Yemen, and in a wider sense, begin the irreversible eviction of Western hegemony from the region.
The West, already being pushed out of Asia by China, will suffer immeasurably as the world dismantles its unipolar international order, region by region.
As in the game of chess, a player often seeks to provoke their opponent into a series of moves. The more emotional their opponent becomes, the easier it is to control the game as it unfolds. Likewise in geopolitics and war, emotions can get one killed, or, be channeled by reason and superior strategic thinking into a plan that satisfies short-term requirements but serves long-term objectives. Russia has proven time and time again that it is capable of striking this balance and now, more than ever, it must prove so again.”

http://www.presstv.ir/Detail/2015/11/24/438951/Dragon-NASA-Soyuz-Boeing-SpaceX-Falcon-9
The US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is determined to end its reliance on Russian technology for space travel, paying billions of dollars to Boeing and SpaceX to come up with an alternative to Russia’s Soyuz spacecraft.
The organization, which risks losing its reputation for reliability over a series of failed launches, is hiring Boeing and the private aerospace manufacturer and commercial space transport company, SpaceX, to carry out manned missions to the International Space Station (ISS), the ABC News reported Monday.
Good one! NASA has decided instead of only talking big to actually start building rockets? Now, that is news!
Not on their own, of course – these NASA fakers don’t like their clothes to get dirty – but with the help of, listen: ‘commercial space transport company’ SpaceX.
Ha ha, SpaceX! With CIA clown Elon Musk* at the helmet! Good luck!
Prediction: It won’t be long, and we will hear from SpaceX that they abandoned plans for developing spacecrafts servicing the ISS in exchange, of course, for much more challenging projects like: a trans-plutonian manned mission into the heart of deep space…

Call me crazy, but I’m not a Putin fan boy – there is an imminent major conflagration that will happen. Turkey is going to do something even more stupid soon and it will suffer. It will likely lose territory. Remember this post and keep your helmets on :)
I have little doubt as several people have already said, that Russia’s response will come when it is cleary thought out and suits Russia. What I really wish for is capture of the leaders on the ground of ISIS/Daesh/whatever that we often see in stills and video of them. There are clearly several whose images have appeared for some time now, who are obviously (despite the wild, unkempt beards) caucasian. In my humble opinion Amerikans and Israelis.
Capture them, put them in front of the western press and let them try and ignore the final facts that ISIS is Mossad/CIA. All the BS about “common enemy” (David Cameron and NATO secretary general), alliance with France etc is just smokescreen for USukisnato and the new world order.
Anonymous, I won’t call you crazy. I’d say your reaction is very sober in the face of facts which would almost certainly blow up the world if it were composed mainly of strategic adversaries cheered on by their respective fanboys.
But I don’t worry about Putin. He’s the restraining, responsible influence in this crisis and no doubt deaf to fan boys, anyway. But I do worry about our narcissist in the White House, and this crazy ISIS supporting Turk. They are the problem, provoking Russia desperately, as Scott’s first linked article above (sorry guys, in my haste to read your comments I missed it at first, but found it in my daily habit of visiting New Eastern Outlook….Ooops!) details. The one Nightingale says is very, very good. It is a real confidence builder. I recommend it to you, especially. There is an alternative to either submission or a huge conflagration that you (Anonymous) speak of.

Igor Chernyshov, member of the Federation Council (Russian senate) and ex-military pilot:
“Turkey has given us clear proof that ISIL is their cash cow. They’ve been getting cheap oil from there, passing militants, and repatriating them for treatment. Clearly, we are in a zone of economic interest to Turkey, that profits from the terrorist activities of the so-called Islamic State”.
Alexei Mukhin, general director of the Center for Political Information, a think tank close to the Kremlin:
“By now, Turks probably are not too happy that they got involved in this incident. If the downed plane was flying over Syrian territory, that would be a reason for declaring war.
“Turkey is the major beneficiary and transit zone for the oil stolen by the so-called ‘Islamic State’, patronizing groups in Syria that are labelled as terrorists.
“Our critics will gloat, remembering the Pentagon’s warnings that Russia would face severe losses. On social networks, our so-called liberal wing can’t hide its satisfaction. Shame on them!.”
Valeriy Burkov, a military pilot awarded the highest medal, Hero of Russia:
“The details of what happened in the air are unimportant. Even if the Russian aircraft crossed the Turkish border for a minute and went in 1, 2 or 5 kilometers, that would have been a very short violation. A missile wouldn’t even have time to reach it.
“It’s clear that this was a premeditated action, they were prepared and just waited for a Russian plane to show up. It wasn’t downed because of pilot error, or because he was trigger-happy or whatever. This is preplanned, premeditated action.”
“Turkey and its political leadership know who we are fighting in Syria. This action shows they oppose what we are doing in Syria, and that proves Turkey supports those we are fighting.”
At the time of writing, Muscovites began picketing the Turkish embassy in Moscow.

Yep there is that fear of mission creep again.
It’s not mission creep when the enemy does things to change the mission. The overall mission is still what it was: establish a peaceful and lawful multipolar world.
Ready aye ready… time to beat down the disinfo jockeys.
Almost everything you read in the so-called alternative or independent media comes from professional disinformation journos including their willing or unwilling dupes. It is easy to manipulate someone when you have a firm grip on their balls and money to spend.
Those who don’t play along, at least some of the time, are summarily disappeared. You don’t seriously believe the biggest crimminal monsters on earth would let some pipsqueak truthy-journo put the kaibosh on their plans for world domination, do you?
We’ve heard so much about the beheading of Richard Pearl in 2008 but who remembers he was investigating the story behind “shoe bomber” Richard Reid, illegedly killed by terrorists in Pakistan.
Did he get too close to the truth? Who were the sponsers of those terrorists in Pakistan who ran that first big beheading psyop? Who were the people responsible for the Richard Reid psyop which took up so many months of CNN airtime?
Think about it.
Or let’s take a closer look at St. Seymour Hersh. I must have seen dozens of references to Hersh’s The Red Line and the Rat Line, most often by Tony Cartalucci who practically uses it as a mantra but how many of you have actually read his long essay more than once?
Have any of you read it in the light of more recent events?
Let’s take a look at the last two sentences of the very first paragraph and compare it to what we know:
“Why did Obama delay and then relent on Syria when he was not shy about rushing into Libya? The answer lies in a clash between those in the administration who were committed to enforcing the red line, and military leaders who thought that going to war was both unjustified and potentially disastrous.”
Ha ha. Everyone got that? NATO military leaders were practically on their knees praying for peace.
According to Hersh, it was the “military leaders” who were reluctant to launch the war against Syria.
But we already know it was Obama who wriggled out of the Syria attack at the last minute with plenty of help from Vladimir Putin and the masterful diplomacy of Lavrov, diffusing the crisis by having Assad turn over his chemical weapons stocks — and over the barely concealed fury of the Strangelove gang at the Pentagon and NATO. Heck, necon Zionists still bitch about the decision today.
As for Libya, that was a project of the beloved SS Hillary Clinton and Obama was forced to intervene in response to the pathetic efforts of the French. People who recall this will notice the unambiguous parallel to how the French have tried to force Obama’s hand in Syria after the NATO-Gladio attacks in Paris 12 days ago.
Yup. It worked once before so why not try it again.
As ever, our memories are too short and our attention too unfocussed 99 percent of the time. The disinfo jockeys live in this space — building credibility with truth telling of little or no consequence while actually helping to establish new rules for how the bad guys can act with impunity.
Hersh then goes on to bamboozle you with another ten thousand or so words but the disinformation plot he has established is already firmly implanted into the minds of most readers. His function is to put pressure on certain targeted individuals like Obama or Erdogan who was then in the midst of fending off the umpteenth effort to dislodge him from power.
It all comes with a very good back story too. Poor Sy. Supposedly his New Yorker employers wouldn’t publish the story so he had to go to the London Review of Books.
If LRB in the City of London is in enemy territory than I am a gay penguin’s second uncle;)
Then there’s the constant repetition of the Hersh-meme by people like Tony Cartalucci at Land Destroyer who always seems to invoke it when someone needs to whip Erdogan into line. Cartalucci is a very skilled agent who uses his high credibility to make unequivocal statements accepted without question by a very specific, truth seeking demographic. He is a tool ladies and gentlemen, and a very effective one at that.
On another occaison, as terror jihadi attacks spiked across Central Asia and China, including Xinxiang, Pepe Escobar in an interview with James Corbett insisted that the Uighur knife attacks had absolutely nothing to do with attempts to destablize China.
Was Pepe wrong, confused, or lying for very specific reasons?
Truthfully we will never know. We can only learn to read carefully and with the necessary intensity and also to never take any source at their word. We must always be on the lookout for inconsistencies and when we see them make note of them and see if a pattern develops. Like I said before, all of these guys a succeptible to pressure and maybe some of them are satisfied by telling most of the truth most of the time.
“Almost everything you read in the so-called alternative or independent media comes from professional disinformation journos including their willing or unwilling dupes.”
Just because I’m paranoid doesn’t mean they’re not all out to get me.
All these disinformation sites – makes the head spin? Or perhaps its the other way around?
Yes. Makes your head spin. Bad if you need to keep yourself on solid ground at all times.
That’s why some of us need infallible heroes.
C I eh?
How do I know you are not a disinfo agent? Why do you try to put down Sy Hersh so much? Do you believe that Obama could stop going after Syria in 2013 all by himself? Obviously he had to have some support to oppose pressure from liberal hawks and neocons.
You don’t know.
I encourage you to think.
And you are.
That’s good.
So erdo gets pissed about Syria shooting down a Turkish jet and says a minor violation did not justify shooting it down blah blah blah and now he shoots down a jet of his largest trading partner while it was NOT n Turkish air space.. Russia is not Syria or most other countries, they have equivalent US technology on such things as GPS. They would not cross Turkish air space no matter what and the jets are upgraded ones with all the latest electronics. The A2A missile was fired from less than 2km away giving no time for the pilots to react as they did not expect anything of the sort. Turkey presenting their evidence otherwise does not hold water.. 17 second violation and 10 warning in 5 minutes etc etc etc Even if, and that is a BIG if, the Russian jet was over Ankara, shooting it down would have grave repercussions.. Does Turkey want their economy to tank into the dark ages? Only friend they have on their border is Russia.. Iran sells them foreign gas but none of their own and collects a middle man’s fees. Huge Russian tourist venture.. where is Turkey going to replace millions of Russian tourists from? Even a gross violation by Russian planes should only provoke a strong protest if they want to keep trading.. Russian civilian planes fly all over turkey even now, at least 10 flights a day crossing Turkish air space. Erdo is insane or lost all touch with reality.. jaw boning is very different from killing someone who you profit from immensely.. The 1 Billion Turkey makes from IS oil is nothing compared to the 60% of Russian gas and over 5 million Russian tourists and that is only part of the trade. personal insanity has doomed Turkey not only from the gas hub but any economic growth for the foreseeable future.. Iran wont touch them, Syrian border will be closed and so will Iraqi border areas in time.. None of the others are friendly either.
Russian Air Force Annihilated Militants In Area Where Su-24 Was Shot Down. Erdogan Ordered Turkish Air Force Planes Be Grounded
Information has come from Syrian sources that last night (24.11) the Russian Aerospace Defence Forces struck with massive attacks on the positions of militants (including Turkomans) in the region where the Russian Su-24 was brought down.
Meanwhile, there has appeared information that the Turks are not putting their fighters in the air after the majority of them were lit up by Russian radar (the S-300 and, according to early reports, possibly the S-400). After the statement of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, Turkey is afraid that their planes can be destroyed when approaching the border.

Sheikh Imran Hosein had already warned many times that a nuclear war beteween Russia and NATO is inevitable. Not because Russia wants it, not becuase Western Military wants it. It is beacuse Hard-core Zionists want it and they will do anything to bring about a war between Russia and NATO which will be a Nuclear war.
Russia and Syria et al should focus on finishing the job of securing the Syrian state apparatus get rid of terrorists and sponsors.Do not be side tracked by this event. Its a distraction. You are almost there.
The euro crisis has shown that the common currency is a transmission mechanism for problems. The refugee crisis has shown that the Schengen passport-free zone is a transmission mechanism for problems. The shooting down of the Russian Su-24 shows us that NATO is transmission mechanism for problems, too. We could have been at war today because a Russian plane flew over some goats in Turkey for 17 seconds.
here we go;

S-400. another Kaliningrad in Syria. probably the best next move would be deploying 10thousand R. Kadyrov Chechens fully armed with RuAF support. they are 100% carnivores.
Yes let them “deal” with the “Turkman” murderers of the pilots. There needs a harsh example made of them.To be shown why you don’t murder Russian military members (ever).

S-400 Will be Deployed at Syrian Airbase Hmeymim – Russian Defense Minister

Both?
With S300 and maybe even S400’s to be sited at Latakia air base the Moskva missile cruiser becomes free to range north and south of its current position.
Now that’s a ‘development’ …
“Meanwhile, there has appeared information that the Turks are not putting their fighters in the air after the majority of them were lit up by Russian radar (the S-300 and, according to early reports, possibly the S-400). After the statement of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, Turkey is afraid that their planes can be destroyed when approaching the border.
In this regard the Syrians reported that the Russia air-space forces can begin the full-scale destruction of camps in the border territory, and also annihilate the retreating militants and the fuel trucks which are moving towards Turkey.
Erdogan did not receive the hoped-for support from NATO. Erdogan has acknowledged that if the Russian plane even violated the border of Turkey, this was for only for 17 seconds, which means that the Turkish Air Force, on purely physical grounds, could not have reacted to it if the provocation was not prepared in advance. This figure of 17 seconds appears in NATO reports.
Members of NATO have been ambiguously treating Erdogan’s action. At present it is difficult to judge how the situation will develop. While it is obvious that Erdogan is attempting to back off, it is already too late, as Vladimir Putin gave to understand at a meeting with the king of Jordan.
Most likely Turkey did not expect such a severe reaction from Russia.”

Yes,I read that too.If true its great news. And the Russian announcement of the S-400 coming to the Russian base in Syria is good news as well.
Adding a note at the end of the Fortruss blog version:
—
“Wiki: In 2014, voice recordings, where Hakan Fidan, foreign minister Davutoğlu, Deputy Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. Yasar Güler, and other military personnel discusses a potential false flag incursion into Syria, was leaked to YouTube and shared across Twitter. The event resulted in the Turkish government blocking access to Twitter, then YouTube, and finally the DNS servers of Google DNS and OpenDNS.[10] In the voice recording, he is heard saying, to a military personnel, “… [i]f legitimacy [of a possible incursion into Syria] is an issue, I can simply send a few men there [across the Syria-Turkey border] and have them launch missiles over to us. Legitimacy is not a problem. Legitimacy can be manufactured.” Seymour Hersh later linked what was said in this leaked meeting with CIA-Erdoğan dealings on Syria.”

Dear Webmaster,
Thank you very much to you and Scott for keeping the information flow going at this crucial and very worrying time. Thank you also for all your hardwork with the site whilst Saker is away and during the times he is here. Much appreciated by all of us here.

MOD says missile cruiser ready to take down any dangerous threat.
Well Turkey you get what you ask for – no mercy for terrorist accomplices.
Also interesting in the comments is that Erdogan and Co. flipped their radar horizontally so it looks like the plane was in Turkey when actually it was in Syria. He, his family and cabal really are filthy liars.
Rgds,

Turkey is now clearly run by a criminal network with ‘religious’ masking.
Ergogan is obviously a crazed power drunk tyrant and his son’s stolen oil business puts the show on the evolutionary level of Indonesia’s Suharto and his infamous corrupt son, Tommy.
I suspect, like the Ukraine, things will only change for the better when a real military coup occurs and re-establishes a viable state by removing these criminal elements from the governance systems.
Don’t hold your breath, it is a world-wide phenomena varying only in severity and stages of development.
Clearly the Russian’s are taking no chances with any potential war scenario as the PM Medvedev’s recent bans on using foreign-made software in Russian state agencies indicate.
https://www.rt.com/politics/322836-medvedev-bans-foreign-made-software/
It was an ambush. A premeditated, cowardly ambush.
Erdogan’s blood was boiling since day one of the Russian operations in Syria.
Watching the SAA and RuAF together with Hezbollah commandos, Iraqi Shia detachments and Iranian Republican Guards in masterfully planned-out missions surgically decimate the tens of billions worth of infrastructure of his and NATO’s favorite pet project ISIS was too much for the Caliph in waiting.
His MIT/Mossad/CIA Intel friends urged him on. Don’t hold back, they told him, teach those pesky Russians a lesson they will never forget. They had it coming anyway, they egged him on.
And so it happened – Erdogan the fool got fooled. The fruits will be bitter and the price will be high.
What are the Russians to do?
Nothing. Just continuing the job Assad asked them to help with, in restoring Syria’s territorial integrity and in eliminating all mercenary-terrorists of all fifty shades of grey inside Syria’s border.
It is good to always think the best of somebody, though it means you take the first hit. Russia has taken the first hit.
It is a bit foolish to continue thinking good of someone after they have king hit you.
I would think that if a Turkish pilot so much as pisses on the wheel of a fighter aircraft, that aircraft will be destroyed.
Other than that, the operation in Syria will continue as planned.
again thank you for keeping this going Scott and Mods, all

MOSCOW, November 25. /TASS/. Russian agricultural watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor banned poultry supplies by a Turkish company in connection with Listeria found in products, the government agency said on Wednesday. Restrictions are introduced against Standart Gida Sanayi ve Ticaret Anonim Sirketi, the regulator said.
Products of the above company shipped by December 1 will be subjected to laboratory testing by safety indicators, Rosselkhoznadzor said.
Sixteen Turkish companies have the right to supply poultry to Russia. Six of them are subjected to temporary restrictions and products of one more supplier is under stronger supervision.

STOCKHOLM, November 24. /TASS/. Minister for Foreign Affairs of Sweden Margot Wallstrom who is visiting Finland, has raised concerns about the incident with downing of Russia’s Sukhoi Su-24 warplane over Syrian territory, Finnish National News Agency FNB reported on Tuesday.
This is just a demonstration how dangerous the region has become where interests of so many countries collided, the Minister said.”
But if you had found that supposed Rus sub in Swedish waters you’d have sunk it wouldn’t you?
The hypocricy.
Last night very heavy bombing in the area of the downed Russian bomber.. Also large formation assaults by SAA.. Seems Russia is taunting Erdo to make a move.. I am sure the Turkish military is upset and its people surely will be a lot upset in the years to come when their economy goes down the Ukraine. The Russian navigator was executed after landing. 2nd Russian pilot rescued by the Syrian Special Forces in northern Latakia:

Curious to see how the recent UN declaration over Syria is not the same backdoor declaration about Libya. Was Putin so naïve to believe NATO will not bomb the country? Or is he just pretending to fight the Evil Empire, while actually being their true “partner” as he calls them? The events recently give one pause.
Long quote removed please use the provided link to read …. Mod-hs
Brabantian: Scary stuff with Russia-Turkey, but sadly, alleged ‘tough guy’ Putin has a habit of rolling over for Nato-Western cabal, Libya – Ukraine – Syria. Just as Putin had signed UN approval to attack & destroy Libya – Putin later claiming he ‘didn’t realise’ the consquences – Putin now did the same thing AGAIN after Paris, signing UN Resolution 2249, this time allowing not just Nato, but any foreign country whatsoever, including Turkey & Israel, to attack ‘ISIS-held territory’ in Syria & Iraq. Turkey didn’t wait hours before seizing Syrian land. So this shite is not surprising, Putin invited it, even allowing Israel to bomb Syria the other day.
Pro-Putineers invent convoluted ‘great Russian strategy’ theories for all Putin’s failings like Ukraine, but jeez. After the 2 May 2014 Odessa massacre burning dozens of people alive & satanically strangling that pregnant woman to death, Putin had every excuse to partition Ukraine & save 10s of thousands of Russian lives – Western ‘sanctions’ bullshite was coming anyway – but Putin sat on his arse. 10s of thousands died horribly, another country was destroyed, like Libya, like Syria … Is Putin just the W W 3 foil & stooge?

The survivors in the downed su-24 Lipcani is one of the best navigators of the country
Konstantin Murakhtin, Lipetsk Navigator, survived the crash of the su-24 in Syria is one of the best in the business. In July of last year in the framework of the competition “Aviadarts” they are with the pilot, Stanislaw Hasanov were officially recognized as the best pilots of bombers in the country. They were each given the SUV a Land Rover Freelander.

Now we know why. RuAF did not want any misses so they used their best bomber navigator to drop the load.. RT has seen him but no interview yet..
Perhaps President Putin should declare a No Fly Zone over Turkey from the Syrian border as far as Istanbul.
Would appreciate some technical commentary from those with the relevant background and expertise on the likely units of/specialists within Russian Special Forces that were involved in the rescue operation of the downed aviators (one of whom reportedly survived and has been rescued).
What is the Russian equivalent of the USAF Pararescue (PJs)? As the rescue would have taken place in hostile territory (the pilot was killed by ground small arms fire while descending in his parachute – truly obscene), I assume the PJs would have been attached to Delta-equivalent teams – what are these.
https://www.facebook.com/syrianmilitary/posts/948563435225039
The Russian chopper was hit by an AA gun in its tail, and had to make an emergency landing. The 15 men on board were unharmed, left the chopper and mistakenly headed toward a terrorist held territory.
Instantly, on the hit and before the chopper even landed, RuAF sent two Mi-24P choppers, and Syrian Army Special Forces unit from the 105th Mechanized Brigade of the Syrian Republican Guards was given orders to reach the chopper’s crew before terrorists do.
When the RuAF Mi-24P started hitting terrorist locations, the land crew knew they were heading in the wrong direction, so they barricaded and took a defensive position waiting the land forces to reach them.
There were three Syrian Special Forces teams who were advancing from three axis. Terrorists used AA gun to try and stop the land forces from advancing, but the RuAF Mi-24P in the air and Syrian Army’s Artillery took care of that. SyAAF and RuAF had jets in the sky in a close by location, including fighters, anticipating any foreign intervention.
The first spec-ops team to arrive to the crew’s location did not engaged the terrorists until they reached the crew. The other two teams arrived as well and the before the evacuation, our orders came to destroy the downed chopper so it won’t be left behind with any equipment intact. After taking a safe distance, and before destroying it, NATO-Backed terrorists launched a US-made TOW missile hitting the chopper on the ground.
The teams and the rescued crew members were extracted under RuAF, SyAAF and Syrian artillery into safety.
Of course it will be [french:] dur, dur [/french] to keep cool. I do hope, russian politics / people will manage to do so, like they already did for many, many centuries.
[http:] According to Sergei Rudskoy (general staff) it might be best to “caution that any targets, representing a potential danger for us [Russia / russians in Syria], will be destroyed.
[http:] According to Russian Defense Minister Gen. Sergei Shoygu S-400 will be deployed at syrian airbase Hmeymim / Latakia. Additionaly he announced yesterday “The Moskva guided missile cruiser outfitted with S-300F Fort anti-air systems took position off the coast of Latakia. Its early warning systems and air defense array will provide adequate cover for the Russian Aerospace Forces elements in Syria …”
I do hope S-400 systems at some time will be deployed instead more eastwards, e.g. re-taken airbase Kuweiers (30 kilometers east of Aleppo).
More or less russian MoD hereby declared a syrian no-fly-zone – good! IMHO it would be better to declare this no-fly-zone (regarding any non-civil or non-identifiable airvehicle) officially to the world, even to the UN. Undeniable reason: security for russian pilots. The very best would be Russia (russian MoD) requests syrian parliament to allow establishing such a no-fly-zone to keep the previous syrian request for russian military intervention going.
It is high time for Russia (and China and all of Asia, Africa and Latin America) to close the door to western Europe and the rest of the AngloSaxon empire. Syria and the syrian war is the pivot to a new bridge from north Africa to west Asia (Middle East): Libya, Egypt, Neo-Assyria (including east and west Jordan, Syria and Iraq), Iran and Afghanistan (may be including Pakistan).
There will be no peace on earth until the whole socalled West will be isolated.
Obscene language removed … mod-hs

I know Putin is concerned about interfering in other states. But sometimes when your survival is at stake those concerns need to take second place.NATO is a “clear and present” danger to Russia. And something needs to be done about them. This aggression from Turkey brings up an interesting question. If “push comes to shove” over it.Will Greeks and Bulgars fight and die for Turkey fighting their fellow Orthodox brothers in Russia. And in the case of Bulgaria, fellow Slavs, that literally saved them from enslavement to the Turks in the 1800’s.If the answer to that is under their current governments “yes”.Then a regime change would be the needed step to take. And Russia should take a cue from the US playbook and accomplish one. They also should heavily support Cyprus to reclaim the areas of their country criminally occupied by the Turks. As well as supporting Armenia more in their disputes with Turkey.

Russia’s relations with Syria will change after the attack on the Russian plane, Lavrov said, adding that Turkey, which is now calling for dialogue, should have done more to communicate with Russia prior to and right after the incident.
He added that even if Turkey’s words were taken on face value, its actions contradict its own position expressed in 2012, after Syria took down a Turkish military plane. At the time, then-Prime Minister Erdogan told the Turkish parliament that a short incursion into another nation’s airspace cannot justify an attack on it.
The Russian minister said there was a question of American involvement in the downing of the Russian plane.
