It took me a minute to identify the thing — been a long time since I saw only the first Star Wars movie (the last time I went to any movie in a theater, in fact), and a death star.
Not surprising since the Russian already have TIE fighters (including Lavrov, who sometimes even wears a red power tie http://static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/Guardian/Pix/pictures/2012/4/19/1334834397737/Sergei-Lavrov-008.jpg ). And also those SU-nn things which fly the same way.
