The harsh rhetoric of Merkel at the Moscow press conference on May 10th, as well as her very sour face after talking to Putin, may have very real and important reasons. Germany is looking more and more like the main loser in the geopolitical schemes of both Russia and USA. Well, if we don’t count Ukraine, which is the main battlefield.
It’s no secret that Russia’s most important foreign policy objective has long been fostering closer ties with Europe, especially Germany. This is not only about Russia’s traditional goal off “Westernization”, or the fact that President Putin’s previous work in Germany has impacted his strategic views, but also about elementary lessons of history. Russia and Germany ended up on opposing sides in two world wars, and took immense losses, while USA and Britain reaped most of the spoils. So, attempting to break this pattern is only natural. Unfortunately, each of our countries looks out for its own geopolitical interests first and foremost, and those are often opposed to each other. And, like twice before, Germany is about to fall prey to its short-term interests going against its long-term strategic position.
We could talk about Germany not being fully sovereign and all of this happening due to United States influence, but this is only partly true. In the last three decades, Germany has made enormous progress towards restoring its geopolitical standing. It became the leading power in the EU – virtually all other European countries are dependent on German loans and already severely in German debt. The process has gone so far that many talk about the new “EuroReich”, as EU is essentially economically controlled by Germany.
Another cornerstone of the German resurgence was great international relations, with Russia in particular.
But the Ukrainian conflict changed all of that overnight. Traditionally, USA are blamed for orchestrating the February 2014 violent overthrow of the elected Ukrainian government, but that is also only partially true.
Dragging Ukraine kicking and screaming into the European sphere of influence was initially an EU project, just like extending European Union influence to Eastern Europe before that. There was, in fact, an informal sharing of responsibilities, where EU handled the political and economic aspects of takeovers, whereas USA handled the secret services and military aspects, up to direct military action (e.g. in Yugoslavia). And by saying EU, we mean Germany – it’s no accident that all the Maidan leaders were constantly visiting Berlin during the “active phase” of the overthrow. Russia swallowed the aggressive EU expansion in East Europe, albeit with some grumbling. But the attempts of invading over post-Soviet space were instantly met with hostility.
So, we can say that US pretty much used Ukraine to lure EU, and Germany in particular, into a trap which has no easy way out [Russia is caught in the same trap, of course]. But there’s another point that’s even more interesting: officially, USA is currently not involved in the conflict (all the negotiations during and after the takeover were handled by Europeans), it’s not involved in the Minsk “de-escalation”, and can pretty much leave everyone to their own devices anytime they want to, regardless of the situation. They don’t much care whether Putin forces the rebel republics to submit to Kiev, or does a 180 degree turn and occupies the whole country with his troops. In the first scenario, America can claim victory, in the second scenario, they can claim their militaristic paranoia was justified and their worldwide protection racket needs more arms sales. The current “de-escalation through negotiations” is the least favorable scenario for the US, but overall it also suits them because the continued instability and turmoil are negatively affecting European and Russian economies, so investment capital flees to US.
For Europe and specifically Germany, the situation is much worse. Not only are they stuck politically supporting a regime that is, objectively, quite far from European values [of personal freedom, not burning protesters alive, not suspending the declaration of human rights, not glorifying Holocaust perpetrators, or not murdering political opponents in the streets], but they will likely also have to pay the lion’s share of the costs – both supporting this regime and repairing the damage in the future.
There are two more aspects of the problem that negatively affect Germany in particular:
First off, USA are wholeheartedly opposed to Germany reclaiming the debts other EU members owe it, making these debts into liabilities instead of leverage. Any attempts to buy out the insolvent country’s assets are blocked. Even the worst offender, Greece, only smiles in response to talks about selling islands in order to pay off state debts. The longer this goes on, the weaker Germany looks, as a debtor incapable of recovering the money loaned.
Second, Germany is the most affected by Russia’s new pivot to China. Their economic alliance, among other things, directly threatens Germany’s position in the world economy. While Russia was friendly to Germany and the EU, there was an informal agreement that Russia will not help China catch up to Germany in areas crucial to German economy – mostly metallurgy and higher chemistry.
In most other areas, Germany is now directly competing with China and slowly losing its market share, but in areas that involve complicated metallic alloys and special plastics used in industrial manufacture, instruments, and aerospace, Germany’s technological advantage over China was indisputable – which gave the country a relatively large and profitable niche in the world market. But in the case of a full scale alliance between Russia and China, this can change radically. Although Russia’s own metallurgical and chemical industries have gone through decline, it still has the scientific and technological know-how to give a boost to these industries in China, nullifying Germany’s strategic advantages. Today, when German tools serve several times longer than Chinese ones and only cost 2–3 times as much, China cannot compete. Once quality becomes comparable, and China’s prices are still lower by at least 30%, Germany would lose the market, and its geopolitical standing would plummet accordingly.
Some may say that Russia acting this way, breaking our promise to the Germans, would be dishonest and ungentlemanly. But one can not always keep his word in the world where everybody else doesn’t stick to theirs.
In conclusion: Germany has subtly, under threat on all possible fronts. Losing face supporting the morally and financially bankrupt regime they brought to power in Ukraine, losing their debt leverage over other European countries – which could bring about the end of the EuroReich, losing their unique niche in the world market. And this is without mentioning smaller issues, such as losing the Russian market due to the “sanction war”, and other direct consequences of the conflict.
Moreover, it is likely that Germany would have to cope with all of this alone. France is mired in internal problems, although Merkel always tows their president along to pretend that the negotiation process involves all of EU.
USA is in the midst of yet another election cycle, so, as always, the current government needs to either fix all the messes they’ve created, or at least convince the voters that they are not responsible for them. The opposition, on the other hand, needs to blame the ruling party for all of the problems, as well as fix as many of them as possible to show their own competence. This logic would cause the US to try to finish the Ukrainian conflict by whatever means necessary, up to and including handing Kiev over to Russia. If that doesn’t work (Russia has no desire for be responsible for taking care of such a “generous” gift), at least distance themselves from the problem as much as humanly possible.
Overall, BundesKanzlerin Merkel is in a very tight spot.
I could never understand why Germany went along with this plan in the first place. There is more to this story than is being told.
I am equally puzzled.
The only explanation that still makes any sense to me, is the complete puppet state nature of Germany is-a-vis USA.
I agree. I can’t see any other rationale behind Merkel’s doggedly pursuing policies which are so detrimental to German interests..
As a German I can fully support the statement that Merkel is acting against the interest of the state, being it attempted economic warfare against Russia, violating the rights of citizens by allowing foreign secret services to spy on them, or wrecking the economy by subsidizing wages below the poverty line and other horrendous measures.
The only logical conclusion is that she, together with many other politicials, is either bought or blackmailed by a third party, probably the United States which makes most sense to me considering the post WW2 political system.
Sadly such a view is insulted as conspiracy theory in the general society(albeit with a tendency in a good direction) because most people are scared to leave their mental comfort zone and look at the facts that are freely available.
But who controls the UNUnited States?
Who controls the UNUnited States you ask. If you are astute enough to spend time reading blogs such as this one it should be quite obvious. It is controlled by the same organized criminal organizations that are controlling most of the nations, banks, financial institutions, insurance companies, governments, real estate conglomerates and military-industrial complex’s. Until one accepts that it is indeed organized crime that rules the roost world-wide one is simply graspins at straws.
Especially with regard to the chancellor puppet Merkel. Schröder was much less of a puppet. Not saying he was Jesus, but hey, at least he had balls.
The European Union is a tool of control for the USA they have been promoting its construction since the start.
Everything that enter the European Union is then automatically under the sphere of influence of the empire.
For those that speak French everything is explained point by point in this 4 hour presentation below ,

I am glad I am not the only one who does his best to communicate to people the Conferences of François Asselineau. Everything he presents, states and shows is absolutely irrefutable, and that is why I strongly believe it’s the only reason he is boycotted by the French mass media including French Wikipedia. Also he is the only French presidential candidate who went to Russia (Crimea) during the Victory Day. France no longer has De Gaulle, but she certainly has François Asselineau.
Je lui souhaite de tout cœur une grande victoire pour les prochaines élections présidentielles.
The EU is just the economic arm of NATO. While NATO is under the control of Washington, the EU is basically under the control of Wall Street. I remember 20 years ago, all the talk about putting together a united ‘social Europe’, and how the EU was going to be some counterweight to the US. How naïve they all were!
Wall Street is controlled by organized criminal cartel. Some call it the Khazarian Mafia. By whatever name it is first and foremost an organized criminal elite. Who do not recognize or care about nations, humanity or their interests.
He – Schröder – is “friendly connected” to Russia, like Merkel is to the USA.

I could never understand why Germany went along with this plan in the first place
Germany has been expanding eastward since the time of Charlemagne. From World War I onwards, her explict policy goal has been German domination of the Baltics, Ukraine, and Caucusus, and the weakening of the rump of Russia. There is no natural geographic boundary in this area until you hit the Urals and Caspian Sea. The closest thing might be the line of the Dnipr and Dvina Rivers or perhaps the Volga and Lake Onega.
Why do you expect that defeat in 1945 would change her appetite to swallow Ukraine? Defeat in 1918 didn’t. Defeat and dismemberment of the Polish proxy Kingdom didn’t. Defeat in the form of the Teutonic Knights didn’t either.
Andrew, you’re wrong in this case. You’re, at minimum, confusing wartime objectives with peacetime objectives. Germany found herself at war with Russia twice in the 20th century, and both times against her strategic interest. Against her strategic interest – both times. And both times, as we all know, the war ended very badly for Germany.
And if you think that current Germany is still out for war, or out to dominate Ukraine, you haven’t understood much about the current German state. The people in it who went along with Uncle Sam in his Ukrainian adventure are all his transatlantic minions. They’re the career-minded people the Anglozionist occupation brought in place. They’re not to be confused with some historic continuity going back to when the Franks took the sword to christianize the Saxons.
Lumi:
WWI and WWII weren’t against the strategic interests of Germany unless you think the entire German noble-military-industrial elite didn’t understand their own interests despite centuries of learning and expertise in philosophy, geopolitics, and law.
Germany has a large population and a small amount of arable land and limited natural mineral resources. Her people also have an astounding and millenia long industrial-techno capability, expertise in agricultural colony planting, the taming of seas, rivers and swamps, and a seemingly endless capacity for fruitful self-organization both for themselves and others living with them.
With the North Sea, Ardennes, Vosgese, Jura, and Alps at their back, and across them the most densely settled parts of Europe, the Germans looked out east along the Baltic Coast, the Carpathian Mountains, and the Danube to areas either lightly settled or decimated by repeated Mongol-Turkic invasions and obviously had the sense that these lands were their lands of destiny if they would just settle them. While totally lacking in anything resembling a central government for most of recent history, the German people on their own and for the most part without military force (the Teutonic Knights being a primary exception) took up repeated invitations from local nobles and townsmen around 1100 to 1800 to send miners, merchants, and agricultural colonists to every town and principality frrom Danizg to St. Petersburg and from Breslau to Saratov and Vienna to Osijek. When Germany proper finally coalesced into a modern nation state, she couldn’t help but look out at this scattering of her people and see it as her fate to incorporate all of them. The nationalistic ways of post-Napoleonic Europe, which finally closed off much of eastern Europe to German settlement and refocused her surplus people onto America, Canada, and Brazil only reinforced this belief in the minds of the ruling Prussian officer aristocracy. In their way of thinking, the settlement of Germans in the western hemisphere was a waste of an irreplacable human resource that should be filling up the then lightly settled steppe stretching east from Silesia to the Donbass and north towards Riga and that happened inconveniently to be controlled by the Russian Empire primarily due to the bloodshed of the 30 Years war and the subsequent accidents of 18th century history where Germans, in their view, did the struggling against the Turks and the Russians reaped the territorial rewards where the German people should have been continuing to settle and thus expanding the new Reich.
When we condemn this way of thinking as Hitlerian today, we forget that it comes straight from the Prussian Junker class of von Moltke and von Hindenburg and the officers like Ludendorf and their treaty of Brest-Litovsk, which hardly dropped onto the negotiating table by accident or happenstance without some serious prior thought.
Even when he was knocking at the gates of Moscow, Hitler couldn’t resist making the move to seize Estonia, Ukraine and Donbass instead. His infamous Arkhangelsk-Astrakhan goal line actually excluded much of Russia. The Germans frankly could not ever be much interested in most of what is today Russia, but repeatedly prioritized the Ukraine.
So you really think that today, when they have realized that the best war is one accomplished without firing any shots of your own or shedding any of your own soldiers blood, that Germany does not still drool over the prospect of the economic colonization of Ukraine? Or that she was about to pass up an opportunity to grab the whole into her orbit if it presented itself?
Andrew:
War with Russia was very well against Germany’s strategic interest, because it meant fighting not only West, but also East. One can grow by conquest, but also by development. And Germany had developed greatly, and it continued to develop to the South-East (Bagdadbahn), a very promising endeavour, not only for Germany, but also for the Balkan countries. Turned out, though, that the Brits and the French didn’t like this prospect. Hence the war.
And not because of any mythical »Drang nach Osten«. This is Anglo propaganda. They love it, because it pits their foes Germany and Russia against each other.
Likewise, it’s a myth that »When Germany proper finally coalesced into a modern nation state, she couldn’t help but look out at this scattering of her people and see it as her fate to incorporate all of them.« If you look at how scattered they actually were, how intermingled with so many other peoples, you’ll understand imagining such a »fate« would be absurd.
»When we condemn this way of thinking as Hitlerian today, we forget that it comes straight from the Prussian Junker class of von Moltke and von Hindenburg and the officers like Ludendorf and their treaty of Brest-Litovsk, which hardly dropped onto the negotiating table by accident or happenstance without some serious prior thought.«
Hmm, but there was a war preceding Brest-Litovsk, don’t you think? Can you imagine people in Germany felt they had been attacked by Russia? Can you imagine our leaders felt entitled to cut off the bread basket Ukraine which would serve Germany well, at least for a while? I don’t think it was right, but I don’t condemn them either. There’s a lot of things far more deserving of condamnation then to rearrange borders, like for instance the war preceding this border arrangement.
The bread basket question has lost a lot of its interest with the development of chemical industry and fertilizers. Worked marvelously in Germany in the 1930s. Farmers in Germany who didn’t want to adopt this progress were forced to use fertilizer regardless, and so the nation could increasingly be fed from German soil. Problem solved.
Read the most interesting Starikov articles at Oriental Review to counterbalance your views. Here’s the link to episode 15, it has pointers to episodes 1 through 14 at the bottom.
Man, I love it that Russia puts out stuff like this! Yes, he certainly endeavours to make Russia look really noble and good, and there’s some points where I don’t agree, but the main thrust of that series consists in shining a light on the Anglo machinations which 99,999 % of Germans (and other sheeple) don’t have a clue about.
Andrew you are right.
The facts speak for themselves: the historical facts that you laid out and the facts of the current crisis in Ukraine.
I keep wondering about the people that willfully blind themselves to the German “CIA”, i.e. the BND’s direct involvement and instigation of the current crisis. The were training neo-nazis in the baltic repubics 2 years prior to Maidan, the BND had lined up a group of lackeys, puppets, sell-outs and coup-meisters (Klitcho & Co) to take over. The crew the BND picked turned out not to be to that coddled hag’s (Nuland) liking (not the right pedigree for her) and hence you get her “F*ck the EU” phone call where she vetoed the BNDs choices and put in the current group of idiots in Kiev.
This whole cluster-f*ck was triggered and implemented by German and EU forces, they bungled it, so the US had to come in and try and salvage the floundering coup implementation of the EU.
I say the German Govt and Eu triggered it due to: blackmailing Ukraine with the “Association Agreement or Else” ultimatum.
And they implemented the revolution because they are the ones that set-up the initial Maidan when Yukoshenko (the hat-stealer) turned down the association agreement and went with Customs Union.
The German people may not be in favor of this policy, but the German establishment are. The German bankster/political parasitical elite are no victims of some mythical American control, they are very much criminal villains (cruel, ruthless, robotic, selfish and duplicitous) in their own right – look at the way they de-frauded Greece, dispossessed them and are slow-killing their population.
Germany wanted their cake and to eat it too: sneakily hijack Ukraine without pissing Russia off too much; i.e. get Ukraine thru a coup soft-enough (forced change of govt after 8 months via sham elections) so as to not jeopardize current trade with Russia. Unfortunately for the greedy closet-colonial EU and German establishment, the US State Dept. didn’t like the German schedule and implementation and so the State Dept didn’t let them eat “the cake”: they forced a hard coup and triggered Russian counter sanctions to disrupt trade between the EU and Germany.
Germany’s establishment is a repeat offender in it’s crimes against Russia and the common people of Germany and Europe.
German Bankers, hmm – I think of a small tribe that emanates from Frankfurt, Germany of which were known as Die Rotte Schild and with whom the quote “Give me control of a nations money and I care not who makes its laws” comes.
ECB, Federal Reserve, Vatican Bank, BIS, IMF, World Bank – follow the money.
Not to mention Anglos use USSR Propaganda against Germany and NAZI propaganda against Russia.
Guess who started WW1 and in turn WW2. Follow the money.
Russia has also been expanding eastwards. You know it is the largest country on the planet. Russia did not gain that status without fighting. One could say that Russia’s goal has been about dominating the Eurasian landmass and Central Asia. Russia has been more successful at this than whatever Germany wanted or has been alleged to want.
Today’s Germany is occupied by NATO and she goes against the interests of her people. What the German State does, does not represent what the German Volk wants. The German state imprisons Germans for merely asking questions about their own history. The German State is anti-German.
It would make perfect sense for Germany and Russia to become allies, like they were, before Disraeli disrupted the league of the Three Emperors. It would also be great if Germany did not listen to advisers who follow in the footsteps of those who advised the Kaiser before WW I. But Germany cannot do this as she is still “occupied” since 1945. Perhaps a REAL (Russian) liberation is needed for Germany?
The only possibilities are
a. German leaders are stupid to the point of being moronic
b. All of them have dirty laundry in the hands of the NSA/CIA, and so have to be subservient to the Hegemon.
I don’t really see any other *realistic* explanations.
Clearly mutti Merkel lost her soul just check her pictures on last press conference with Mr.Putin. Maybe next time Mr.Putin should rather unleash dogs on her- she is scare to death of them…. just kidding .Mr. Putin very much show frustration on his face to deal with her, it is really no points deal with her..She is no Mrs. Maggie T.
Indeed. And she thought to honour her birth name ‘Kosimir’ by seeking to destroy the reputation of Putin in battle. She in effect has ruled a one party state with her grand coalition. Stupid trollop.
Stupid trollop.
Describes Angela and Germany.
Why are they surprised that, as trollops, they got f*cked?
It’s the job description.
Trollop: Female troll. A woman dedicated to lying and making trouble, often in the employ of imperialist war mongers.
Dear Friends,
There is saying that “whenever Germany unites there is a WW”. I don’t know why it is. May be Germany doesn’t like to do introspection for the betterment. May be it can only think “Market Economy”, the economy of Ghosts. Hence sale but no SOUL. As a result the “Defeat” is certain. As a matter of fact even the US hasn’t won anything. Isn’t it interesting?
Regds
Sanjay
I have heard that saying too, but I believe it’s propaganda from the Brits and USA.
Also in a “tight spot” is the USA which is, without any particular plan or intention, testing its allies to destruction. It does this because its foreign policy is run by people who have no strategic ideas-it borrows those from stale, old plans by defunct academics- and are obsessed by making short term tactical gains; overthrowing a government here, installing a puppet, bound to fail, there. As in the Gulf and the Middle East they are always on the wrong side of history, backing unpopular tyrants, marching in lockstep with wahhabi fanatics, sponsoring graduates of the Joseph Goebbels Institute in Kiev, patronising fascist revivalists in the Baltic states and,in Israel, doing everything they are told by a regime as doomed to fail as was the South African one that they also supported.
And in the EU the US is joined at the hip with poverty mongering austerity regimes. When they fall and, as Spain shows, that will occur as soon as popular forces mount a critique of policies pregnant with nothing but suffering for the masses, the US will be left with only a handful of friends in the world-most of them bribed, all of them dependents unable to help prevent their patron’s decline.
Sadly… There never will be presidents true patriots/common sense ppl as Mr. Ron Paul,Mr.Ross Perot who would move this country from present chaos… short of ruusian suggestion of perestrojka/, American spring is too later ha, ha ha
Ron Paul is a snake-oil seller and there to lure in the naive bunch. Wake up and check his actual actions instead of his PR-talk. Finally his fake and treacherous “Audit the FED” theatre did it and clearly showed that he is a government stooge.
As is his son, more obviously so.
How so ?

Some independent blogs are posting the information that Mrs. Merkel was /is???/ on the CIA payroll?
Is this information is a gossip or intention to make a harm on her? This information went on immediately after Snowden revealed that her phone was spied on her
It can be blackmail, or on the payroll, or promise of positions afterwards (she’d be silly to take promises from the USA though, she’d better grab the immediate cash).
At the last meeting with Putin, there was a picture where he had his hand over his mouth… like a father who’d just been handed a big problem (daughter confesses she’s pregnant and doesn’t know who to). And Merkel was sitting on the edge of her chair, hands tightly clenched, looking at him sideways almost in tears, waiting for his reaction, is he going to say he knows a good doctor, or is he going to jump up and throw her across the room?

wow, thanks a lot for the observation and funny comment
Without understanding “who” runs the countries of the west, it’s very difficult to analyze what is going with the various countries there. This is a list of some of the “who”, meet the ZPC/NWO:
Naming Names: Your Real Government
Germany is a colony of these oligarchs just as the USA is. Colonies do not make policy, they follow it. Colonies do not have independent interests, they are “interests”. Merkel is simply a face for the “management team” that runs the German colonial regime. She is there because she does the oligarchs’ bidding to their liking. If she didn’t, she would be replaced.
Brilliant pic Kat Kan. Thanks for sharing!
We should do a caption contest ;-)
Caption? “Angela confesses that she is pregnant”
I wasn’t expecting an illustration beyond what you lead me to imagine.
What number should I call for option A?
Thanks KIT KAN Picture clearly show mutti Merkel demand in anger( sitting on edge of chair with fingers tight something that rationally thinking person( Mr. Putin can not accept-something very disgustfull- hence Mr. Putin can not help but put hands over the mouth….I would like see on scene Mr.Putin favor dog..
What is the German word for domination? It is simple. They wanted to dominate Eastern Europe, and that would give them the leverage for dominating or at least getting a good share of the loot from controlling Russia. So it was a business decision. Was there more profit from looting Russia or doing business with Russia? Many Westerners thought Russia was weak in terms of dealing with economics, access to key technologies, and information management. So it would seem like a good bet to attack Russia.
It is “Herrschaft”, literally meaning “master-ship”. Master in terms of rule or nobility, not in terms of arts or sports.
Wrong. Literally, mastership = Meisterschaft, whereas (deu) Herrschaft = (eng) lordship = (lat) dominatio. »Herrschaft« is the correct translation for political domination. Which doesn’t make Paul II’s one-bit analysis any brighter than it is.
I may be wrong, but I think Germany’s geostrategic interests most definitely include dominating the Ukraine. The joke about “domination” may be crass, but the elites in Germany are not particularly any nicer than those anywhere else, so if we can talk about the American desire for “control”, then we can say the same thing for Germany. Particularly as we have seen how the EU’s policies in Eastern Europe have played out over the last decade.
Even just a superficial glance at the situation in the Ukraine leads one to think that both Germany and the US have common interests in weakening Russia. There is nothing particularly surprising about this; it is just standard geopolitics. We may wish that Germany would take a view that is based on “enlightened self-interest”, to use the English phrase, but that doesn’t mean the German establishment agrees. Is it crazy to think that both Russian and China want to see the US weakened these days? If that is not a crazy thought, then why would it be foolish to think that the US and Germany have the same feeling regarding Russia?
I can’t talk about any German »elite« because I don’t even know who that would apply to. What we see as leading figures is mostly people in cahoots with the Anglozionists, like Mohn and Springer families, who rule this country as a mental Anglozionist colony.
Much of the business seems to have been internationalized with regard to who holds the stakes or the stock. A very bad development.
The people selected as political figureheads hate Germany, there is no other way of explaining their policies. What they want to establish is the United States of Europe because that makes it easier for the globalizers.
All these so-called »elites« have been educated to despise their country and despise their people and despise their culture and despise their history … and instead to suck up to Uncle Sam. And, by and large, this seems to be true for other Westblock countries as well.
There are some sound and sane voices in Germany which can be recognized by their desire to see Uncle Sam crack and collapse, for the greater good of humanity. And we all know that in order to make Uncle Sam crack and collapse, it’s important to support Russia and China.
Yes Paul, I see her as a German hausfrau, eyeing the great breadbasket, and a white service class.
Thank you Saker & Tatzhit for allowing us to read this article.
Can anyone explain to me if they think the following para is true & if so, how this is brought about:
“USA are wholeheartedly opposed to Germany reclaiming the debts other EU members owe it, making these debts into liabilities instead of leverage. Any attempts to buy out the insolvent country’s assets are blocked. Even the worst offender, Greece, only smiles in response to talks about selling islands in order to pay off state debts. The longer this goes on, the weaker Germany looks, as a debtor incapable of recovering the money loaned.”
So who is looting Ukraine? Not the same thing?
It’s not quite true. The empire gets the most valuable stuff, but germans get to expand. Example would be Bosnia, where the first thing I saw after returning ten years after the war was a bunch of huge neon signs of Allianz, Volksbank, Sparkasse, DM, OBI etc. (all huge german banks, insurances, shops, materials suppliers,…). They bought all our former companies for pennies and just either import foreign stuff or produce it here under the new brand name, same as in the west.
These are not just crumbs, they got their share according to their “investment”.
This week, the courts in Portugal arrested the real estate assets of recently failed Banco Espírito Santo. This action blocks foreign entities from auctioning those assets. This happened after the international creditors refused to contribute to a solution of the problem of the lost savings of many small depositors of the failed Bank.
So it seems that a hostile take-over of (a large number of) assets of a bankrupt country is not easy to perform. It is akin to pursue direct confrontation with the afflicted citizens of the debtor country. Such conflict tends to escalate behond the control of the local “comprador” elites, further reducing the leverage of the creditors.
Note: “comprador” is a portuguese word; it means “buyer”. It is ironic that Portugal now finds itself colonized by Germany, by the very same method the portuguese merchants used in India, Indochina and Africa, from the sixteenth century on.
Would you repay the money which never ever existed? They were just printed money with NO gold coverage.
These are the only fiction money just printed to obtain properties from another countries and loot the wealth from around the world. It was proven by many mathematicians that these fraudster bankers simply can’t own such an amount of money what they claim from around the world.
You paint a very bleak picture and from my POV it is quite inaccurate. Germany ihas been working both sides since decades and Germany certainly tries LOTS of things in the background to get free from the empire. But alas, it ain’t easy at all.
I also think you got Merkel’s sour face wrong. In a personal discussion, she certainly won’t talk the propaganda nonsense for the TV to Putin, they will talk on a different level. Most probably stuff like “How can I make the empire believe I’m playing their game, while I’m trying to find the way out behind their back?”.
Also notice that Germany still is an occupied country, that in very literal sense. There are over 70000 US soldiers there (5 years old stats, now probably more), the Rammstein base controlling all drones, the AFRICOM-base, etc., many huge military assets etc. Even a bunch of nuclear missiles is ready to go anytime. Do the math. The whole german Bundeswehr couldn’t stand a day against the foreign forces in the country.
Another issue, all politicians and parties are controlled one way or the other. Either by internal/external lobbies and interest groups, or by blackmail – many of them have lots of dirty underwear ranging from being a part of the former eastern communist regime like Merkel or simple crimes all the way up to stuff like deviant sexual practices etc. You can imagine how much stuff the NSA alone must have ;) Everyone anyhow involved in politics in Germany has his own baggage, that is for sure. There is also a small percentage of real psychopaths (especially the crazy american-made “green” party), but those are the minority. There is also a group of genuine patriots and “real” people who are desperately fighting the empire. There is also a nazi fraction mentioned above, but these are also a minority, though a strong one. There is a bit of everything, but that’s all just for show – the majority is tightly controlled or silenced or enslaved.
Please explain why it is “so difficult”. Why is it so difficult to just say *NO* to the Hegemon.
Why not say,
a. cold war is over, we don’t need US military base and 1000s of personnel here?
b. sanctions on Russia is bad for Germany, we won’t do it ?
Please tell us what can happen if German leader simply says those 2 points ?
If you say no, you die, or your spouse dies, or your children are disappeared or hooked on drugs, your wealth disappears, you are prosecuted on some morals crime or embezzlement, or your plane disappears or explodes or crashes, or you skid into a tree at 135 mph.
There are lots of things you are thinking about when you think no. Your mortality. They got JFK and dozens of others over the years. You don’t say no. That’s the safe and smart thing.
It’s that simple.
That’s why you do what Maduro did.You say to your supporters and the press,in public “Please don’t kill me US.I know you may try to”.The Empire cares about spinning world opinion to their side.If a leader publicly accuses them of plotting to murder them.If it happens the Empire is at once thought guilty by everyone. That type of publicity they really don’t want.
So no, fear isn’t what stops world leaders from saying no.Its greed instead. They can gain for themselves personally by supporting the Empire (and for their 1% masters). And that type of person cares little for the best interests of their country.
You would have a Majdan in Berlin within days and Merkel would be declared the new Hitler.
No, you would not have a Maidan in Berlin. Instead, other bad things would happen, like »Germanwings 9525« (note the symbolism).
Regardless, or rather, all the more, there should be a move from the state apparatus to talk to the people … about the truth. About various things. Note how they never do that?! Could be on TV, ARD, 20:00, no Tageslügen today, instead Tageswahrheit, read by chancellor Merkel. Wake up the nation. Put on more documentaries on primetime how Uncle Sam is such a monster. What the game is all about in Europe. What our true interests are. Like President Putin does in Russia, the only free country in Europe.
Uncle Bob above is right. Latin American leaders are far more courageous than European minions.
It needs to be understood that Uncle Sam operates by terror and is the source of terror. It would get people out on the streets. Instead, there’s a constant supply of media valium and other diversionary and illusory drugs lest clear thoughts form in the people’s mind.
Somebody wake me when the German government signs a peace treaty and has a constitution.
Those are myths. The 4+2 contract is a peace treaty and accepted as such. Das Grundgesetz is a full and valid constitution as well, also acknowledged as such per addendum.
Das Grundgesetz is one of the best constitutions in the world, by the way. You can read it in english here:
http://www.iuscomp.org/gla/statutes/GG.htm
Also the preamble etc. is very important and viewed as an integral part of the law.
Many right groups and foreign agents are trying to get rid of it, to make way for TTIP, TISA and whatnot which is forbidden by the current laws. Don’t fall for that fallacy, the game is the destruction of what’s left of german autonomy.
Right now the laws have been being disregarded in many ways for years and years, since noone goes after the criminals in the higher ranks. Germany needs no new constitution, it just needs a free and working judicial/police system.
That’s incorrect, T2015. 2+4 ain’t no peace treaty, and nowhere does it contain the word »peace treaty« (Friedensvertrag). Check Teltschik here:
Grieß: Noch nicht einmal “Friedensvertrag” [taucht im 2+4 auf].
Teltschik: Bewusst nicht, denn wir wollten ja keinen Friedensvertrag.
Zwei-plus-vier-Vertrag – “Alle Forderungen erledigt”
And the GG ain’t no constitution because no state has been constituted; das GG wurde vielmehr oktroyiert (weiß jetzt grad nicht, wie das auf Englisch heißt).
Die BRD ist immer noch der Staat des Besatzers. Punkt.
And as there is no peace treaty, there is still no final settlement on the Eastern border issue. And Poland is aware of this. Whether there is still any force left in Germany, that’s another question … But legally, a claim to these lands could still be made by the Reich, which never capitulated.
And don’t forget the UN enemy state clauses, still in force against Germany, Italy, and Japan. Our gouverneur puppets like to claim that these are irrelevant … Rather than irrelevant, they’re a vulnerability that they haven’t been able to discard.
Technicalities… the germans themselves didn’t want a formal peace treaty, because that would make them pay reparations for the WW2 to a buttload of countries. That recently came up in the discussion about Greece (they wanted money from Germany for WW2 damages etc.).
See it as you wish, das GG is one of the best constitutions ever created. It wouldn’t change a thing if you would change the title into “constitution” instead of “basic law”, effectively it’s the same thing.
Also in the preamble it’s declared to be a constitution, so factually that is what it is. It was not forced upon Germany, despite that there was no referendum about it.
In which country did we have a referendum on the constitution? I know but a few world-wide, most have been just “made” by some group of “experts”.
This is all a tempest in a teacup, guys. Constitutions, by themselves, mean nothing when your whole ruling class has been co-opted. At the end of the day, constitutions–like all laws–are just so many words on paper, that can be twisted around to mean whatever the rulers want them to mean. The US, for example, is definitely not under foreign occupation, but we have the exact same problem. The ruling elites just ignore or ‘re-interpret’ the constitution whenever it gets in their way. Consider the PATRIOT Act, or PRISM. Those laws are blatant violations of the 4th Amendment; yet no one in Washington does anything about it.
EU nations are as much free ‘members’ of NATTO as sticky rice is to chopsticks…
Say what?!
The fingerprints of the US puppeteer are all over the cordoned off crime scene and…
“Could you please stick to your sickly, imaginary friend and leave these innocent forum members alone?
Thank you.”
Hmmm, I wonder why color revolutions keep cropping up…
I did have some hopes before about Merkel, now they are gone. She is not to trust. She has been quietly accepting spying damaging her own country s industry by American NSA. Incredible! Either she is on double payroll or the US/NSA through spying on her came across something really big that allows them to blackmail her at will. Well, whatever the reason she is not to trust not even by Germans themselves!
Germany is a 100% US-colony. What is so difficult to understand about that?
Go check all the secret surrender treaties. You won’t find them, but they exist.
Of course Merkel is CIA. By default. All German Kanzlers since WW2 have been CIA. By default.
Same goes for Japan. Wake up people, this story is 70 years old, for heaven’s sake !!!
She talked about the souvereignty issues and treaties live already, believe it or not. See here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qx0BQk5ouTQ
She said something like “we moved quite a bit forward regarding these issues”, but left out “we’re not there yet”. Some issues and treaties are still unclear in detail.
pray tell, what issues have been “moved forward” ?
cooperation with NSA no longer supported ?
Russian sanctions no longer supported ?
tell the truth about the situation in Donbass ?
no longer spread falsehoods in German media ?
Certain treaties and legal issues have moved forward. She names several there.
The book (below) could probably explain a lot, but I doubt it will be translated into English;
http://ireport.cnn.com/docs/DOC-183232
Ex-head of MAD reveals shocking details of the 1949 US-German secret treaty
Top intelligence officers rarely reveal secret strings, pulling the nation’s political mechanism. Publication of a book like The German card. The obscure game of secret services, authored by Gerd-Helmut Komossa (Gerd-Helmut Komossa. DIE DEUTSCHE KARTE. Das verdeckte Spiel der geheimen Dienste. Ares-Verlag, Graz 2007. – 230 S.), is an exceptional occurrence. Raising very sensitive issues, the author appeals to the core of German identity that had been deliberately suppressed for decades by the United States and its allies. The book is focused on contradictions between the United States and Germany, sometimes very strong but not supposed to be discussed in public. It was published in Austria, and its distribution in Germany may encounter certain difficulties today. …
It’s partly true, but it’s heavy disinfo in sum.
Mind you, there is no such thing as an “ex” intelligence officer.
So, after many of my comments you still have no clue what Germany is, yep, is, even right now?
Germany always (again, and again) has been the region/part of western Europe where people have been the most fearful. Germans are the rest of (all) the (other) germanic tribes which did take part in Emigration of Nations (6th to 8th, considering the northern germanic tribes like the Vikings, til the 10th century). The germans didn’t because of …, well you already guess it, german Angst. All other more … aggressive germanic tribes conquered the rest of europe and, considering the Ruriks (Vikings from nowadays Sweden), even … somewhat founded Russia.
Even if you don’t like it, the least aggressive (of course even in military terms) germanic tribes … et voilá that’s Germany.
Right after the Emigration of Nations (and right after the death of Charles the Great in Aachen, german city, and after the Treaty of Verdun (843)) three eastern out of four parts of the Frankish/Charles Empire built the basis for the Holy Roman Reich (not empire). From the very beginning in 843 til 1806 (that’s why later the 3rd Reich has been sometimes refered to as Millennial Reich) the Holy Roman Reich (later called Holy Roman Reich of German Nations) never (never) attacked other countries around – by design, i.e. by constitution. Of course, there have been many wars – in Germany, inside Germany. Have a look on all the other germanic tribes and “countries” in (western) Europe while that time (1000 years). They attacked Germany again and again and the Kaiser (german for latin cesar or russian tsar) didn’t have a chance other than to defend. Why? You guess it, because the germans always worry, always fear. They even fear (for very good reason, see Iwan the Great) their own Kaiser.
Of course after Napoleon destroyed (the remains) of the Holy Roman Reich of German Nations (HRRGNs) in 1806 he also removed the break keeping Germany from attacking others. What happened was, Germany fetched back what always (then already more than 1000 years) has been part of HRRGN in 1871 (Alsace-Lorraine). [Remark: Prussia never has been part of HRRGNs and, even eastern Prussia (right now Kaliningrad) not has been conquered but … married.]
Like Russia Germany (HRRGNs) never attacked any european country – of course Russia attacked (e.g.) the Ottoman Empire (Empire, not! Reich) what Bismarck refused to do. You all know the rest: beginning with Berlin Conference 1880 the AngloSaxon (eastside of Atlantik) very successfully started to misuse Germany … against Russia. Germany didn’t attack Russia in 1941 at it’s own (will) but was made to do so. But anyway, …
since 843 Germany as of any kind has been the land of the fearful anxious people. And, and Germany never had any luck (lucky circumstances) like natural ressources (Russia) or real colonies (Netherlands, France, England …) or enough coastlines for trading (think of Venice) or defense and so on. I.e. Germany never had any chance but real hard work to do. Thus the much more successful german economy even after a disaster. [BTW: After Germany succeeded in 1871 there has been a big economical crisis in 1873-1875.] Thus, centuries before any other european country regular professional schools for all children (e.g. Halle, city in the center of Germany) short after Thirty Years War. And of course, when being attacked so many times you will have to learn building canons, hopefully better canons than the one the enemy has – et voilá: Krupp, Thyssen, Dicke Berta (Big Bertha). All this not by accident! Not at all. Germany almost from the very beginning must have learned to survive, even after multiple disasters.
And exactly this will hapen again soon: Germany (as a european) country will not be the first one (because of german Angst!), but will start rebuilding it’s country, it’s industry and its (own) currency and – again it will stop having an army (see HRRGNs above) to attack anyone but will restart teaching clerks to sell german products, german machines. It’s all for profit, isn’t it.
Germany (in the middle of western europe) struggled so many times, it doesn’t really count when it will happen again. People will right after any (kind of financal/political) war immediatly start to reconstruct Germany – as so many times before.
The euro will fail (2017), including the EU (2018/19/20). But Germany again will be the first country (in western Europe) regaining some strength for trading with Russia and China all along the New Silke Route: the western endpoint will be Duisburg (city in western Germany with the biggest european inland port), Xi Jinping already has been there last year, officially celebrating the first non-stop freight train from China.
If you want to know how fast this will happen: have a look on Japan and Germany after (what you call) WW2. Not any other country (including north america) regained economical strength like Japan and/or Germany (1950 and 1970). Only this time (~ 2017) it will all happen much, very much faster, and again: including Japan in tradeing with China and Russia.
If (western) europe does not experience a nuclear war til 2017, the first two western countries taking off will be Japan and Germany, not England (anyway without Scotland), not Poland, not France and of course not Spain and not Italy. Malorossia, especially Galicia, will be transformed into (whole) Europes breadbasket because there will be no more EU because there will be no more Empire of Chaos. Everyone in north america already feels: it’s no longer a decline, they are starting to fall. Yesterday Saudi Arabia announced end of oil selling for 2040 (25 years). That will be the end of the socalled Petroleum Era and of course that will be the end of all Rockefellers [BTW: the name Rockefeller is from a familly from town Rockfelden next to Neuwied, Germany. I.e. the name of a germanic familly who didn’t fear of emigration – got it?]
Germany never had any oil sources or real oil industry (thus lost the war in between 1913-1945). The same is true for Japan. Both countries will more and much faster than any other western country take-off after the fall of the last Rockefeller because they never ever had any other chance than to be better/faster than others. That’s quiet different than, e.g., for Russia and of course for north america – the latter will by the end of the century be split into some 20 or 30 regions.
Dear Saker, it’s time to make a decission: do you really want to keep your familly beeing stuck in a soon to be failed state? Or better restart in Go’ol Urope or anywhere in Eurasia?
You forgot one little detail – germanic tribes did not arrive into some barren wasteland, but a thriving and living country. Which was coincidentally populated by mostly slavic tribes.
Guess what happened to the original residents, the “indians” of back then??? Think about that.
Case closed.
P.S.: also remember the famous destruction of the slavic pantheon on Rügen back then by the danish/german punishers, which basically killed the centre of pagan slavic spirituality.
Slavs aren’t the natives. They followed on the heels of the Germanic tribes in the aftermath of the imigration period following the collapse of the Roman Empire. They didn’t settle in German territory before the 7th century and they did only so in small numbers with little social organisation and little else to show for. So they were quickly absorbed by the Franks and their successors.
Sorry but that is wrong, probably austrian “history” school.
Slavs lived there in Germany/Poland/Chezch triangle long before germans even existed. Serbs for example come from there, they moved south after the land got conquered by the germanic tribes from the north. There are still some 50000 “Sorbs” living in Brandenburg and still speaking the language etc.
Of course both of you are wrong! Completly!
Long before the romans and even long before the celts, Europe (and even northen Europe) has been populated. All these people did have almost one common language: indo-european language also often refered to as indo-germanic language. Both, germanic language(s) (and thus culture) as well as slavic language(s) (and thus cultur) are dialects of the indo-germanic laguage.
For many centuries (in fact many 1000 years) they setteled all over Europe without exclusion of each other – simply because there has been no reason for. For us (nowadays), people living on an island like Ruegen seem to be neighbours to people living in (nowadays) Hamburg. Back then the tribes didn’t even know other famillies living only some kilometers away. And of course, ’til Middle Age they didn’t have any problems talking to each other beacause they still spoke almost common indo-germanic/european languages/dialects.
And of course common language(s) include also common cultur and thus rituals – even on islands.
For the real picture: people speaking more and more a dialect of former common indo-germanic language which has later getting called german language/dialect always lived at the southern borders of the Baltic Sea (if the sea on the west of northern Germany is called Northern Sea than the one to the east must be called Eastern Sea, in german: Ostsee; baltic states didn’t exist since the very beginning and account only for a small part of it’s coastlines). In the same way people speaking more and more a dialect of former common indo-germanic language which has been later getting called slavic language/dialect always lived at the south-eastern borders of the Easter Sea / Baltic Sea.
I.e. (later) germanics and (later) slavs both lived along the coastlines of the Easter Sea – at the very same time. And of course there have been more aggressive guys within (later called) germanic tribes like there have been more aggressiv guys within (later called) slavic tribes.
The important point is: the tribes which stayed (not only along the southern coastlines of the Eastern Sea but also south of the socalled middle mountains in nowadays Germany), those who didn’t have the courage to emigrate, those who feard the unknown, these people became the Holy Roman Reich (incorporating many germanic and some slavic tribes). The others, all of them, already have moved on. Either to the east or to the south and finally to the west.
Thus, the least aggressive people talking with an indo-germanic/european dialect were the people of the Holy Roman Reich (three centuries later extended to: of German Nations). HRR is the only country / state / Reich (exactly that’s the reason why it never has been an empire, no military aggression) which didn’t have by it’s own will constitutional rights to use it’s army against other countries – for almost 1000 years.
Please compare with all the other indo-germanic tribes like Polish–Lithuania or France or England or Spain – disgusting!
We are not talking about any temple or tree which has been destroyed (before the Holy Roman Reich). We are talking about constitutional prohibition attacking other countries and of course we are talking about proofe of not attacking others for more than 1000 years (843 – 1871). Proofe boys! Proofe!
The only other country which at least didn’t attack other european countries is Russia – and of course russian language is an indo-germanic language, nothing else.
You’re right regarding Ostsee. Sorbs of today are for the most part in Cottbus area.
http://www.geschichtsforum.de/f35/fremdbezeichnung-wenden-winden-f-r-slawen-10958/
“Als geschichtliches Volk erscheinen die Slawen zuerst unter dem Namen der Serben (Sporen) und der Veneter; sie waren unter diesem Namen bis ins 5. Jahrhundert in den Ländern zwischen Ostsee und dem Schwarzen Meer ansässig, … Aus der Bezeichnung Veneter aber wurde Wenden, die Bezeichnung der Slawen bei den Deutschen (für die heutigen Sorben).”
He’s right. The Slavs came after the Germans–that’s why they’re further east. You are probably thinking of the Kelts; they dominated most of central/western Europe before the coming of the Germanic tribes.
Don’t get me wrong, just trying to prevent the other version of one-sidedness as well. The vast majority of Germans are very nice people and just hostages of their controlled and uncontrolled “elites”, just like all the others.
All blonde folks probably descended from the same prehistoric tribe and the two groups have intermixed wildly too, so germanic and slavic folks are basically brothers, in more ways than just genetics.
T2015:
The Germans (other than the north Germans) are not particularly blonde, and the Scandanavians, who are, are not particularly German. Germans proper are predominantly part of a continuum with the French, English, Irish, Swiss, Belgians, and Northern Italians – generic western Europeans. If you wish you can go back in pre-Roman terms and call them “Celts” from the Halstatt culture. The Scandanavians who are very blonde, are properly thought of as the “native” Europeans from the Paleolithic in the northern central European area, just as the Serbo-Croats are in the south. The relation of the languages has to do with how they were creolized from proto-Indo European during the Neolithic by interaction with different native groups.
The blonde German Aryan trope is a tired myth even Hitler and Co. knew was false. The Russians they termed subhuman were far more “Aryan” than the German Wehrmacht invaders.
Yes, “Aryans” were an indian folk and the rest was invented in 19th century by Blawatsky, Steiner and later by some nazi ideologues.
T2015:
By “Aryan”, I was referring to the mythical blonde German superman of Nazi lore. That Nazis knew most Germans were not Aryans of this sort, and ironically, far more Russians and Poles and Balts are despite the Nazis calling them subhuman. (The Germans had no special love for the Baltic peoples despite the Nazi lore of the Balts and their allowing them to form SS Divisions – the General Plan Ost intended on their dramatic numeric reduction through murder and slavery as well and the Germanization of the remainder.)
By “Aryan” the way you are referring to, this is a term spread across the Indo-European area – not only in India, but with cognates in Iran, Erie (Ireland) and in the German language (Ehren – honor) among other places.
Yes, I was referring to the original meaning that got corrupted by Blawatsky and co. later. Actually it was this guy who promoted it in german speaking lands:
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guido_von_List
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ariosophie
Needless to say, he was a member of a freemasonic lodge too. Would you imagine…
»The Russians they termed subhuman were far more “Aryan” than the German Wehrmacht invaders.«
Now I’m looking forward to you telling us the source for »subhuman Russians«. The source, please. Not some Wiki nonsense. The source, and in German.
I agree with your continuum, adding that it stretches eastwards as well as westwards.
I also agree about Hitler discovering that the stupid racial myth he had initially believed in was just bollocks. The whole »Aryan« thing is a misinterpretation of linguistic facts into racial phantasy.
The myth lives forth in the notion of a »Slavic race«. There ain’t no such thing. It’s, again, a misinterpretation of linguistic facts into racial phantasy.
http://www.lexikon-drittes-reich.de/Untermensch
I said, give me a source, not some junk from some virtual junkyard whose only purpose it is to defame Germany and entangle Germans in a web of lies.
Well the “Rus” were originally a Viking people from Scandanavia and therefore a Germanic peoples. I don’t know that the National Socialists Germans really considered Slavs/Russians “subhuman”. It seems like the anti-German propaganda from WW II is still ongoing. Next you will be saying that they murdered 6000000 Jews in gas chambers. Or they wanted to conquer Europe and wanted “inferior” races as slaves for their great 1000 year Reich.
Check out http://www.tomatobubble.com/hitler_champion.html
Makes one reconsider the “evil” “racist” Nazis.
» Germans are the rest of (all) the (other) germanic tribes which did take part in Emigration of Nations (6th to 8th, … 10th century). The germans didn’t because of … german Angst. All other more … aggressive germanic tribes conquered the rest of europe «
You got that completely wrong. All the other tribes fled the insecure heart of Europe, seeking refuge at marginal and leisurely summer or winter sport resorts, or even jumped in panic onto rainy islands, accepting to drink lukewarm beer on the wrong side of the road – only we stayed in place and resisted !
What a romantic view
Emperor Trajan put the borders of his empire right on the Rhine. He didn’t want to have anything in common with these sympathetic dudes.
Remember me who was Alexander Nievsky fighting against?
If euro dismantles, the new german currency will be so expensive, that Germany will lose all its competitiveness AT ONCE.
No miracle happened in Germany after WW2. Only debt forgiveness and a Marshall Plan.
The marshall plan of Japan was the Korean War. Japan supplied all that was necessary. Saw GDP raise even 30%per year.
The otoman empire was the reason for WW1. Germany was verykind with the ottomans because wanted to swallow them as a whole.
The real problem with germany is that when it became united, most of the world had become colonies of others.
So it didnt have time to catch up with all the values of the time in the rest of the western world such as liberalism.
It tried it’s luck with capitalism (industrialization) and nationalism. We all know the results.
Nothing against the german people by the way. But they are just as hard working, and anxious as any other nation.
Lol, someone’s stewing in resentment a bit too much.
Tell me where I’m wrong. Will be happy to reconsider my view.
Every one of your statements is tendentious, lopsided and distorted beyond recognition. But of course each one would require a whole wiki article to present the historic background thoroughly, which is why people like you usually get away with their tendentious oneliners.
But just to adress the point of “Trajan keeping those ugly Germans out of his lovely empire”:
-Romans first invaded Germania and tried to absorb it. Only after they had been soundly repelled, they got defensive.
– Germans were quite popular in Rome, be it as slaves or mercenaries. Later Rome would for centuries rely on German auxiliaries to prop up what was left of its former glory. It is no wonder that it was Germanic tribes which ultimately became the heirs of Roman civilization.
Quite a different situation than you liked to frame it. I could do the same with all the other points you brought up, but my time is limited.
After all it is ancient history.
But not the type of tale that is written above.
Trajan was the emperor that “finalized” the structure and the borders of the empire. And he left Germany out.
The the whole of Rome loved them, especially Alarich.
They fought together once, in the Battle of Nations, because the Hunns were a serious threat to both. Even during the battle their relations wre full of mistrust, and it was a miracle that the battle wasn’t lost.
When the Western Roman Empire collapsed, the Popes ware left in Rome without the support of the state. This forced them to make alliances with whoever was around at the time in order to maintain their position.
So they started to “spread” the title of Emperor. First Charlemagne and after that some guy named Otto in 1042.
This was the main political reason for the Schism. There were of course religion questions.
Nice try to evade the facts I presented to you. He “left Germany out”, because he had no other choice. He also left the Persian empire out. What kind of argument is this even?
http://www.roman-empire.net/maps/empire/extent/trajan.html
There was no Persian empire at the time.
Too bad that your link does not support your claim.
How excactly?
There was no Persian empire at the time. only city-states under the Arsacids
The heirs of Roman empire was the (Eastern) Roman Empire in Constantinople. It was the true Roman Empire, even though it was culturally more Greek than latin. Holy Roman Empire had nothing to do with the actual Roman Empire. It was a creation by the Pope
There was no debt forgiveness, but a bail-in. The savers got only 6% of their savings, while the debt was reduced to 10%. Half of the real estate ownership was transferred to the state and thus the owners were made creditors forcefully. That happened when the D-Mark got introduced in late 40’s, it’s well documented.
Also Germany never even smelled capitalism, let alone having it. Hitler’s party was national-socialist and they had absolutely socialist policies, albeit with a “national” twist.
The reason for WW2 was the Brits, who also fostered it and basically caused it. All well documented in many many freely accessible sources. The british Empire created/started both world wars, they also “created” Hitler (who used to live in England for a while and later had british female “assistents” for many years), created Marx (who wrote his “Capital” in London under british guidance) etc.
Germany was a scapegoat and a victim in this case. Despite that this later turned them into monsters, the initial impulses all came from the empire.
You are talking about the collapse of the central bank after the war and how the internal loses were dealt with, and about the collateral.
I’m talking about the external debt of Germany that was settled in London (1953)
53%haircut of the nominal debt means around 80% overall haircut.
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/London_Agreement_on_German_External_Debts
This aritce has some problems
The author bypasess or has missunderstood some crusial issues, thus loosing the meaning.
1. The “debtor that is incapable of collecting” status.
Those “uncollected” debts have put Germany in the status of paying negative interests for its own debt. He doesn’t seem to understand the impact of that, and what huge loses this, along with the broken architecture of the euro, brings to the other euroarea membe. And euroarea is still the number one customer of Germany. Those projections of China becoming their number one customer in 10 years from now as you understand are pure bs, used to frighten their eurozone partners.
Moreover I don’t understand what this guy means by that thing with the Greeks smiling when they are asked to liquidate parts of their territory.
Where has he seen that;
When Russia defaulted in the nineties, did it lose any part of its territory?
What kind politician in the world would put his/her signature in something like this?
They can’t do it even by force, as Greece has a comparable military force, and better trained according to many. One of the best in Europe.
And all this when everybody knows that ALL the means needed to overcome the economic situation, were removed from Greece, as president Putin himself has said.
And all this due to a “common” currency.
The “debtor” situation was used to strengthen the core (Germany). And it has achieved its goal.
The main problem with EU is that it’s market share in the world is shrinking, and the population is getting older. And all this is happening in an are with very high standards of living, that have already become unsustainable.
So nazism, human rights etc are issues that will emerge gradually in the open. And here lies my second objection to this article.
2. The human rights issue in Ukraine doesn’t really bother Germany and EU.
Please read what the person in charge of the human rights in the EU has to say about violations of EU Charter of Fundamental Rights. Meet comissar Katainen:
“The Commission is committed to ensuring that, when implementing EC law, Member States respect the rights enshrined in the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights. However, the programme documents are not EC law, but instruments agreed between Greece and its lenders: as such, the Charter cannot be used as a reference, and it is for Greece to ensure that its own obligations on fundamental rights are respected. The European Court of Human Rights has ruled that the measures adopted by the Greek authorities do not infringe the Convention of Human Rights…”
http://www.europarl.europa.eu/sides/getAllAnswers.do?reference=E-2014-005633&language=EN
So don’t worry, Poroshenko is right where he belongs
And one suggestion: if Russia has this kinds of technologies, the right thing to do is not to give those to anyone. Take advantage of them and use them yourselves.
About the human rights issue above. What he says about the greek programme documents not being EU law is wrong.
The documents were incorporated in the EU law with the Decision of ECOFIN (Finance ministers assemby) no 2010/320.
The fact is the no one really knows to what degree exactly Germany acts as an independent country or as a US proxy. Most of the evidence suggests that Germany (especially under Merkel) is a US puppet. This should not surprise us at all. Germany (like another highly advanced, Japan) was utterly defeated and occupied in 1945, a fate from which none of the two have managed to escape until now. Consider the following, what kind of great independent state hosts foreign troops on its soil? What kind of great power is infiltrated through and through by CIA agents on all levels? We even know of German spies, spying on German corporations for the benefit of Uncle Sam! What kind of great power has a press that echoes US propaganda day and night? What kind of great power picks up a meaningless (from her point of view) fight with Russia (clearly a potential ally) for the benefit of Uncle Sam and Qatar? What kind of an independent great power pushes Russia into the arms of China??? Clearly Germany lacks any kind of deep and far-sighted strategic thinking for all of this to be at all possible.
Yes, both Germany and Japan were given a very good deal from their US overlord, but the heyday of the western-dominated global system is fast fading away. The pie is getting sliced into smaller and smaller slices and there will not be enough surplus value juice for all those “prosperous democracies”. Italy and Spain and even France are already feeling a very serious pinch. Germany and Japan are next in line with the onset of the next systemic downturn (should be due in a couple of years time at the maximum)
However, this does not mean that they will even attempt to break free from their overlord. The US still comfortably stronger than either and can coerce/bribe/trick them into staying on-board. In matter of fact, the more I think about the whole Ukraine crisis, the more I come to the conclusion that the primary US goal in the entire operation is to re-affirm its control over Germany and Japan. The CIA is neither stupid nor crazy, they know that China and Russia will always resist US domination and for this reason creating tension between the US network of alliances with Russia and China helps keep Germany and Japan in line (or at least, that is the intention) The CIA fully well appreciates the fact that at least subconsciously, the Germans harbor a certain fear of Russia, and the Japanese of course dread the rise of China. The current global predicament puts both Germany and Japan into a very tight spot and a fateful dilemma.
One last thing. People tend to overrate German power at present. They confuse being more solvent (than the rest of fully bankrupt EU) or having better export performance with being very powerful. The two are not at all the same. Germany is nowhere near big enough and nowhere near rich enough to dominate the rest of Europe. Of course Germany can push some poor little country like Greece around (and it is not just Germany that does so with Greece) but dominate Europe? No way! Not even in the most glorious era of Bismarck or Kaiser Wilhelm or of the Third Reich could Germany dominate Europe. Let alone now, with all the bureaucratic intrigue in Brussels, with every little shitty EU country having the chance to bark its own BS (think about it, if Germany controlled the EU, would the Balts, Poland and Romania kick up so much fuss all the time?) and all the US influence/infiltration in Europe, Germany is more like a frustrated and weary matriarch than a hegemon.
Stavros
It is something in between nowadays.
Germany is now the biggest shareholder in the IMF
Despite losing both World Wars German leaders still pursue thier old imperialist ambitions(“Drang nach Osten”). They don’t even hide it! But they need US firepower to destroy or deter any resistance (like in Yugoslavia). So they are closely collaborating with the US empire. Already in 2009 German military circles debated NATO’s continued eastward expansion and the partitioning of the Ukraine. Also it was Germany to be first to publicly declare that NATO should expand eastward in 1993.
In its war doctrine of 1992 the German government brazenly announced:
“Without Germany it is impossible to integrate the East European peoples.”
The German FM Kinkel wrote in 1993:
“outwards it is essential to achieve something whereby we have failed twice before”.
In 1994 a strategy paper of the ruling CDU party demanded:
“expansion to the East”.

“German military circles are debating NATO’s continued eastward expansion and the partitioning of the Ukraine.
…
In March 1993, Bonn’s Minister of Defense at the time, Volker Ruehe, was the first to publicly declare that the war alliance should be expanded to include several East European nations, says Brill.”

“Varwick considers that, at least for the time being, it is conceivable that Berlin and Brussels should “grit their teeth and continue to flexibly attempt to benefit from US capabilities,” because for now, the EU’s military capabilities are insufficient for an independent global hegemonic policy.[6]”

What the Nuland hag meant with her famous quip was: “Fuck Germany, we’re the Hegemon here”. Then, like the professional she is, she moved swiftly and cut the upstarts out f the game.
From that moment on, Berlin seemed bewildered, ricocheting between Moscow’s red lines, and capacity for coming up with effective asymmetrical counter-moves, and Washington’s intolerance for freelancing allies.
The rest of Europe saw what happened, and scrambled to get on Washington’s good side. They’re all looking bewildered now, but we shouldn’t underestimate their capacity for delusion.
The Germans need to be constantly encouraged to get from under the AngloZionist boot. It’s an obvious common sense move for Germany to regain it’s independence for the benefit of all , the Germany being prime winner. What would the Empire do if given finger and ordered to pound sand by the Germans? Nothing. They’ll suck it up.
@FarAwayObserver
“The Germans need to be constantly encouraged to get from under the AngloZionist boot. ”
Once they do that, they run the risk of becoming crushed for a third time by the “AngloZionist boot”.
Perhaps the Germans think: let this time Russia and China deal with the AngloZionist problem.
On the other hand, in WW1 and WW2 the Russian were on the side of Anglos and French but not this time.
The best bet is to wait for Marine le Pen becoming president and turning to Moscow, as announced and Germany joining.
Eurasia against Anglosphere + Israel. That should be winnable, for Eurasia that is.
Let the Muslims deal with Israel, China can double its territory by acquiring Australia and Paris-Berlin-Moscow takes Middle America and Canada under its wings. A bit like this:

We can use the vacant UN buildings and Goldman-Sachs money temples in Manhattan to house Israeli refugees.
Anglosphere is soooo 20th century.
Germanic hate slavs, don’t see this happening. Goes all the way back to the west falling to the mind virus first, while the slavs and Greeks resisted for centuries longer.
You would sooner see Russia go back to pagan roots lol
What exactly makes you an expert of the European psyche?
I don’t think so, bear is awake and he is in a very bad mood that he was poked for many, many years
Hello Saker,
the German state is completely in the hand of the Americans.
They spy on us, steal our business secrets and have competely corrupted the government.
Immigration is killing the quality of life – whole districts are now called “little africa” or “little istanbul” and classrooms are increasing where there are no “real” Germans…
The Americans are still here despite WWII ending over 70 years ago. I hope to see them kicked out by 2025.
PS – I will leave Germany as soon as possible in order to pay less taxes.
Excellent translation job. My compliments to Tatzhit Mikhailovich.
I remember reading that Helmut Kohl lobbied hard for Merkel, because she “knew the neighbourhood”.
If she was to champion DE’s pivot east, she’s pretty close to “FAIL!” It’s a train wreck so far.
No country is fully sovereign nowadays. Not even USA and Germany, although they have far more political and economic leverage compared to small countries that have the role of protectorates.
The era of sovereign nation states has fade away. The world economy is globalized and controlled by a handful of multinational conglomerates that are responsible for 80% of world trade. Multinational corporations in large part have outsourced their production into third world very cheap countries.
There is a small transnational elite which control the globalised economy. And this elite promotes free trade and market liberalization with important examples being the creation of EU, NAFTA, and now the proposed plans for TTIP. Because if a country has trade protection, no MNCs could easily sell their products there.
That’s why we have witnessed so many wars in the last 15-20 years. From Yugoslavia, Iraq, Libya and now to Syria, the aim is the same. Forced integration of these economies into the NWO of neoliberal globalization. Because all these previous regimes were not integrated.
Serbia under Milosevic (a leader of the Yugoslav communist party) had up to late 1990s a closed economy (a remnant of socialist Yugoslavia), Iraq and Syria had anti-colonial nationalistic Baathist regimes that nationalized key parts of their economies and promoted Arabic socialism, Qaddafi’s Libya had a state owned economy and espoused antiimperialism as an ideology etc
These regimes came into existence during the era of Ussr. After Ussr dissolved, it was a matter of time for NWO to overthrow all these regimes
Well, one of the ways not to fix Germany’s numerous serious problems is to do what they are doing making agreement to sell weapons to India in order to contain China. But, being new at this I may be wrong. India is supposed to be afraid of Chinese power, the treaty being set up would cement that fear into place. Since the US has trapped Germany in so many ways for so long, going along with her to try and isolate China, as is being desperately tried with Russia, seems naive, Germany is not naive.
I remember a train trip I took to see a dental surgeon in Germany in 2011 chatting with my seat mate, a young German lady professional who after 13 years of a formerly lifetime job understood she might lose it rather than get a promotion, bonuses getting smaller, not bigger too. She explained it well. We were both appalled. The Marshal Plan was the US Trojan Horse used to bring down Europe financially. Germany after sending out it’s best machines to be made in Spain. stumbled further. Spain who does not like Germans. The machines were losing quality, not selling as well. Each year worse. Now this refusing to accept the peaceful future of a Russian/Chinese multi-polar world instead of a constantly unstable warlike uni-polar world.
Hey, Chipstone, it is “THE USA,” “THE EU.”
What is your problem with the definite article? Chipstone’s failure to use definite articles when referring to the USA and the EU is incredibly annoying, souinds like some weird primitive version of English. Perhaps he should sign himself Flintstone. Less annoying, possibly, for speakers of Slavic languages than for native English speakers.
Those deep creases straddling Merkel’s “feeding orifice”, has it been decided yet? Are these the result of primitive android technological application, or were the engineers specially designing the device with a simple ventriloquist doll look to impress the youngsters? Since it is difficult to imagine anyone over 12 would take what “she” says seriously, I’m thinking it’s the latter.
Dear Friends
The answer to the above question is Yes. and not only Germany rather even Bigger GERMANY or Hybrid Germany which is called US. The little Germany in reality has nothing to loose because it has already lost everything even its sovreignty and hence soul. What it has is called TECHNOLOGY which rest of the world also has or are very close to catching up.
does it make sense???
The Winner behave very grand full of wisdom. But then when West or the “Democracy” has the Wisdom? Do they ??? They are always abt Plundering, looting, torturing etc… in a way something called S-ADO-Mas-ochism…. Is it correct? please correct me if I m wrong…

“Does it make sense?”

This is a short term analysis pretending to be a long term analysis, very poor job.
The long term goal of Germany is to regain full sovereignty without jeopardising it’s security. It already has gotten rid of France and Russia as occupants, it still needs to get rid of the USA (the UK is just shadowing the USA and has no real power over Germany) without anybody in Europe freaking out. And that mainly means Poland.
The increasing mess in the Ukraine will destroy in Poland (and in other places: the Baltics, CZ, etc.) the notion that the USA are a solution to perceived threats coming from Russia and/or Germany. Increasingly they will come to see that a close relationship between Berlin and Moscow is not a threat but a blessing. The US influence is entirely dependent on that notion. Once Poland ceases to believe it can only survive by being the obstacle between Germany and Russia with US help, it will morph into the florishing link between both. At this point NATO will be history and the USA will cease to be a European power.
Both Berlin and Moscow understand that. They know that America can only fail in the Ukraine and that they will profit from that failure. Their goal is to keep the mess constrained within limits while it unravels. But unravelling it must, as tragic as it sounds.
I don’t know about the “flourishing link” part, but there are voices in Poland speaking to the rest of your post. http://fortruss.blogspot.com/2015/05/kwasniewski-ukraine-will-return-to.html
Polish Ex Pres Aleksander Kwasniewski at a security conference in Prague:
“In the foreseeable future, Russia may become one of the centers of the multipolar world that is being formed right now…The US will continue to play a major role, but they will never again be as powerful as they were in the last 20-30 years.”
The author fails to understand something essential. The EU has no interest in expanding. The US uses the EU and the implicit promise of economic aid as a tool to pull countries into its orbit and into NATO. The EU and its member countries are never asked if they want to expand.
