[This analysis was written for the Unz Review]
Sure looks like Biden will take over the White House in one way or another, and while Trump and his supporters might still try a few things, the political correlation of forces inside the US ruling classes is clearly against Trump. As for the “deplorables” – they have been neutralized by stealing the election. Which means that Russia will soon face the most rabidly russophobic gang of messianic Neocons in history. So what can the world expect next?
The Dems are not meaningfully different from the Republicans. True, the Dems blame Russia for everything, while the Republicans blame China. Not much of a difference here: it is all about hate and scapegoating. And both of these factions of the oligarchic Uniparty like to blame Iran for, well, being located in the “wrong” part of the world, the Middle-East, which all US politicians (and not to mention their Israelis masters) want to control. As for the Israel Lobby, it has been trying to trigger a US attack on Iran for many decades. Recent US moves of key personnel and bombers might indicate that discussions of an attack on Iran are still very much taking place.
I don’t believe that these fundamental directions in US foreign policy will change much.
Why?
Primarily because the AngloZionist Empire and even the USA as we knew them are basically dead, which means that irrespective of who is in control of the USA, the objective means/capabilities of the Empire and the USA will remain the same. In other words, when Biden promises to show Russia how tough and mighty he will be, he will not have any more capabilities to threaten Russia with than Trump had.
So the first thing we can expect is simply “more of the same”.
Now, in the Empire of Illusions which the United States has become, appearances matter much more than facts. US politicians have two quasi-reflexive reactions to any problem: use violence or throw money at it. Of course, using violence against Russia (or China and Iran) would be extremely dangerous. So throwing money at a problem is the way chosen by the US political elites (see here for the, rather boring, details).
[Sidebar; A lot of that money will also be spent on ideological nonsense like supporting trans-gender rights in Africa, woke-awareness in the Baltic, “critical race theory” in Japan (good luck with that!), “Holocaust studies” in Poland and the like.]
What will happen next is that this money will be spread amongst a pretty large US and EU bureaucracy (and its subcontractors) to all sorts of political PR actions aimed at presenting modern Russia as “Putin’s Mordor” whose “Nazguls” (scary GRU and/or SVR and/or FSB agents) run around the planet looking for more targets to infect with the totally ineffective, but still scary, “Novichok”. In the past, much of that money was spent inside Russia by all sorts of CIA-run NGOs and much of it was also spent on various propaganda efforts outside Russia. Again, this will not change, if anything, expect even more money poured into what are in reality strategic PSYOP operations.
The sad truth is that US politicians know very little about Russia, a country which they hate and fear, but not a country they even begin to understand. In this case, what US politicians will not realize is that Russia herself has changed a great deal in the past years: many new laws and regulations (see machine translated example here) were adopted which, in essence, “plugged” many political “holes” in the Russian legislation which allowed AngloZionist organizations to have a great deal of influence in Russia. As a result of these reforms, it has become far more difficult for western run NGOs to influence the Russian political scene.
As a direct result of these new rules, I expect that a higher ratio of money will stay allocated to activities situated in the West and less for Russian-based activities. In plain English, this means that more US printed money will be spent on completely useless activities. The only people benefiting from this will be the entire class of pseudo “Russia experts” whose only true expertise is on how to secure grant money. They will produce even more conferences and papers which nobody will care about, but which will allow the US Neocons and their deep state to show how “Biden is firm with Russia”. The typical US cocktail of waste, mismanagement and fraud (and let’s not forget good old corruption!).
Russia’s response to that will also be “more of the same”: Russian politicians will continue to express their disgust with their western “partners” (FYI – when Russians speak of “partners” it is understood by all that they mean this only sarcastically). Foreign Minister Lavrov and one of his deputies have recently made statements basically indicating that Russia will not seek any (!) form of dialog with the West, because, frankly, it is pretty clear to them that this is a total waste of time: Russia has nobody in the West to speak to: the only country with real agency (albeit severely limited by its subordination to Israel) would be the USA, all the other countries of the West are really colonies and/or protectorates with no sovereignty at all.
What about all the many military provocations the Empire is organizing all around Russia? Do they concern Russia leaders or not?
Well, no and yes.
In purely military terms, US/NATO military capabilities are no real threat to Russia whose military is much smaller, but also much more capable than the western ones. Why? Simply because building a truly powerful military has been a core strategic priority for the Kremlin who needed a military actually capable of a) deterring the West from attacking Russia and b) defeating the West should deterrence fail. In sharp contrast, western militaries have not been training for real wars for decades already: most of what the US/NATO do is using western militaries for all sorts of propaganda purposes (like “sending messages” or “showing determination” etc.) and for counter-insurgency operations, not for fighting a real, major, war.
Right now the Russian military is much more modern (about 80% of new gear on average across all military branches and services!) and much better trained for real combat operations. In sharp contrast, the US MIC is heavy on hot air (Space Force! Hypersonic missiles! Artificial Intelligence!) and short on any actually deployed and engageable weapon systems. Away from the propaganda machine (aka “corporate legacy ziomedia”), the reality is that the West is about 1,5-2 decades behind Russia in most critical military technologies.
Last, but not least, wars are not won by machines, computers or fancy engineering: they are won by soldiers, real men, who know what they are defending and why. The contrast between the typical Russian soldier (in any service or branch of the military) and his western counterpart could not be greater than it is today. Simply put: no western country can boast that it has soldiers like Russia has and, again, I don’t mean the “super dooper” elite Spetsnaz operators, I am talking about your very average, garden variety, infantry soldier, like the ones who saved Russia in the Chechen conflict in spite of operating in truly horrible and totally chaotic circumstances. These guys might not look like much, but as soldiers they are the kind every commander dreams about.
All this is to say that Russians have nothing to fear from all the western sabre-rattling, except maybe one thing: the rogue officer, on either side, who would suddenly decide to open fire (for whatever reason) thereby creating a situation which could escalate into a full-scale war very rapidly.
The other thing which is objectively bad for Russia is the number of key treaties the USA has now withdrawn from: these treaties are most needed, especially as confidence building measures. Right now there are very few treaties left and that means that the US is desperate to try to suck Russia into an arms race.
This won’t work.
Why?
Putin himself explained it very well when he recently said that while the West throws huge sums of money at any problem, Russia allocates brains, not money. According to Putin, it is the use of brains, rather than wasting money, which allowed Russia to develop all the weapon systems mentioned by Putin for the first time in 2018. This made it possible for Russia to get ahead by a decade or more, while using only a small fraction of the kind of money the US, and other western countries, are allocating on “defense” (while not being threatened by anybody!). In the competition between the US money printing press and the Russian brains, you can be sure that the latter one will always prevail.
The bottom line is this: the US can spend many hundred billion dollars on “countering Russian (or Chinese) influence”, but this will do absolutely nothing to help the objective circumstances and capabilities of the Empire or the USA.
So the real question is what will change on the level below direct military confrontation.
In a recent press conference, Putin mentioned something very interesting about the outgoing Trump administration. He said:
“The current administration introduced new sanctions against Russia 46 times – against our legal entities and economic operators. Forty-six times – this has never ever happened before. But at the same time, bilateral trade grew by 30 percent over the previous year, oddly enough, even despite those restrictions.”
So if the putatively pro-Russian Trump Administration sanctioned Russia 46 times, it is normal for the Russians to look at Biden with equanimity or even a resigned fatalism: “the West has always hated us, the West still hates us and the West will always hate us” – this truism is all but unanimously accepted amongst Russian politicians.
Still, we can count on Biden and Harris to try to show how “tough” they are on Russia and Putin: they will show their prowess mostly by demanding that their NATO/EU colonies and protectorates continue to “send messages” to Russia and show their “unity” and “solidarity” with each other, mostly by parroting self-evidently nonsensical Anglo and German propaganda. Will the bilateral trade between Russia and the USA continue to grow? Probably not as the list of corporations and agencies the USA declares to be under sanctions will only grow further. But never say never, especially with the comprehensively hypocritical Dems…
How about the kind of self-evidently ridiculous stories about Russians using (a clearly ineffective) combat biological agent like the so-called “Novichok”, trying to kill irrelevant bloggers and failing to do so, or some variation on “animal Assad” “poisoning his own people”? Will that nonsense also continue? Probably, mainly simply because this is something which the Empire has demonstratively proved that it has the ability to do. So why not continue, especially with a press corps willing to parrot even the most ridiculous nonsense.
The bottom line is this: to get a sense of what any actor could do next, one always has to multiply intentions by capabilities. If there is one thing which the outgoing Maga Administration has shown, is that its declared intentions and actual capabilities are not at all commensurate: hence the long list of countries Trump threatened, but never meaningfully attacked. “Biden” (and I use this term very loosely, meaning “Biden and his real handlers”) will inherit the very same geostrategic toolkit Trump had at his disposal for four years and which did not make it possible for him to effectively flex muscles, not even against weak and nearby Venezuela! We can be pretty sure that the rhetoric about Russia will get even more hate-filled and paranoid. Petty harassment (such as arrest of nationals, closures of offices, expulsion from various international events, etc.) will also continue, not so much because they work, but because a lot of people depend on these for their salary.
How likely is a shooting war? In my personal opinion, not very likely at all. I think that the folks at the Pentagon are mostly aware of the real world out there, and they probably recognize that the US armed forces are in no condition to fight any halfway capable opponent.
How likely is it that the US will use a protectorate like the Ukraine or Georgia to reignite another local war? It is not impossible, especially since the US did support SBU infiltration of terrorists into Russia. Keep in mind that the sole goal of such (a, frankly, suicidal) attack would be to provoke Russia into a military response, not to actually achieve anything else. The main problem here is that the regular armed forces of the Ukraine and Georgia are in no condition to fight, and that the (US letter soup controlled) Ukrainian and Georgian special services have already tried this many times, and so far without success, mainly because, unlike all the western countries, Russia has the actual means to lock her borders when needed.
What about the reported plan to destabilize Russia by creating conflicts all along her periphery?
It would take way too long for me here to describe what is taking place in each of these countries right now, but I will offer just the following bullet points:
- Russia has officially declared that she will never allow Belarus to be conquered by the West (irrespective of the means used). That ship has sailed.
- Russia is slowly, but surely and very successfully “choking” the economies of the three Baltic statelets, mostly by denying them transit of Russian cargo and by letting them cut themselves off (yes, they did that to themselves!) from the Russian-Belarusian energy network.
- Poland is, as always, very loud, and, also as always, highly irrelevant. Poles are only potentially dangerous to a very weak, divided country, or when backed by powerful patrons. Neither is true nowadays.
- The Ukraine poses no threat to Russia, it is way too weak, too corrupt, too mismanaged and too poor to represent a threat to Russia. The Minsk Agreements have been de-facto rejected by the entire Ukronazi political class and the Donbass is now gone forever.
- The Caucasus is now firmly in Russian hands (there is no force capable of challenging the Southern Military District or the 58th Combined Arms Army in the region). Those who believe that Turkey strengthened its position in the region simply do not understand the outcome of the recent war (especially the very interesting drone war which showed that while Armenia could not deal with them, Russian EW literally destroyed Turkish drones in mid-air (this also happened in Syria, by the way).
- Central Asia is an inherently unstable region, mainly because these countries never succeeded in effectively transitioning from the Soviet period to full independence. And yes, the US has a great deal of influence in this region. But only Russia can provide effective security guarantees to the leaders of Central Asia, they all know that. Finally, Kazakhstan plays an important “buffer” role for Russia, putting distance between her and her chronically unstable southern neighbors.
- In the Far East, Russia and China are enjoying a long honeymoon in which their already very deep relationship only gets deeper and their collaboration stronger (in spite of western PSYOPs trying to scare Russians about how China wants to take Siberia, and other silly fairy tales). Russia is now even supplying key strategic defense technologies to China.
- Last, but most certainly not least, Russia has total superiority in the Arctic, where the West is many decades behind Russia. In fact, Russia is massively expanding her capabilities (civilian and military) in the Russian north, which will give her even more weight on our planet’s very rich north.
Now ask yourself: do you see any of that changing in the next 4 years, even assuming a rabidly hostile Biden Administration? I sure don’t.
Conclusion:
Yes, the political atmosphere between Russia and the Empire will get worse. Most of the “action” will take place in the public media space. The quasi simultaneous collapse of the Anglo-Zionist Empire and the United States (at least as we knew them before the election steal) will not give much time or energy to western leaders to pursue policies which have already failed in the past and for which they simply do not have the means.
Trump or Biden was never a meaningful choice for Russia (only the Russian court jester Zhirinovskii thought otherwise). It’s not much of a choice today either. The most likely consequence of these collapses will be that the world will split in roughly two sections: “Section A” which will include all the countries of the “collective West” and which will be busy trying to survive a crisis which has only begun and “Section B”: the rest of the world, which will try hard to decouple itself from the sinking West and try to develop itself in this rather unstable environment.
Also, many Russians remember the gerontocracy which ruled in the last years of the USSR and they know how such gerontocracies act (make no difference if the country is ruled by a Chernenko or a Biden – such rulers are always weak and clueless).
Biden or Trump – no real difference for Russia.
This is why most Russians don’t care either way.
The Saker
Saker,
Nice shot. Bullseye!
If Biden survives the first six months it will be miraculous. On a gurney to a rest home or tagged and bagged and sent for embalming.
President Kamala hasn’t a clue where Russia,Iran or China are on the globe. She will be instituting daily lessons in White Fragility, leading the Red Guards tearing down statues and blasting the Four Presidents off Mt. Rushmore. Social Justice items to check off. However, the State Dept. Khazarians will try to provoke the Ukies to launch the final suicidal assault on Donbass. I think that is something that is inevitable. Dems love to start conflicts, and the one they desire most is Ukraine. It has no other reason to exist but to be destroyed.
Hillary wants it. The Neocons want it. The NeverTrumpers want it. All the Eastern European puppets want it.
They will do something massively stupid to get a reaction from Russia.
That Russian policy will be a vacuum post-Biden. It will be wrapped around Harris’ neck.
I see that as very probable.
Think past Biden. Lots of really bad things could take place.
Ukrainians do not want war and are tired of it and also Ukrainian armed forces are in poor shape. Second of all I am certain that Russia can predict what’s coming and take appropriate action!
Who has been bombarding Donbass and killing civilians, assassinating the leadership and begging for more weapons? Looks like Ukies to me.
Gorlovka has never had one day since the war started without being shelled, mortared or fired on. Six years of incoming.
They don’t want war, but they wage war. Must be an autonomic nerve disease. They just can’t help firing 120mm mortars and 155 mm artillery shells or MLRS Grad rockets at Donbass.
They get billions of dollars in training, equipment and payroll to ethnic cleanse the Donbass. Have they ever turned down a dollar, said “No, we don’t want war. Keep the dough.”?
The reality is the Ukies drool over killing old ladies and children, as long as they speak Russian and won’t give up their land to Bandera murderers.
Russia has already said what the reaction will be. “Ukraine will cease to exist as a state.” That was from Putin himself.
Yet, the Ukies keep pressing forward across the contact line, keep killing, keep bombarding old people and children.
The wish here is for them to dash for Donetsk or Lugansk or the southern border again.
I can’t wait for that Ukie military to be turned to twisted metal and ashes and Kiev disinfected of the scum and CIA who infest it. I want to see if they can get to Lviv before the Russian airborne eliminate the lot of them.
If any nation-state deserves oblivion, it is Ukraine. With the Azov and Pravy Sektor annihilated, every last one of them, and the military reduced to a chain gang receiving re-education for five years, the people left penniless with the assets of their land sold off by the oligarchs, they will have no hope but to relocate to other lands.
As a Ukrainian, I am deeply ashamed of what is happening in Donbass. It is painful. And in my personal experience, it divides families. The situation is not this simple. People do not want the war, however the government does not listen to people’s will. The same as in the West. Remember that in 2003, there were massive protests against Iraq war, and the war went ahead anyway, in spite of significant opposition. I do not think people in US want war either, Trump was elected on a peace platform, as well as Obama. Once in office, Obama extended the wars inherited from George W Bush. Trump did not end any wars, while he did not start any shooting wars, he extended sanctions, which could be just as lethal. Not everyone in Ukraine supports the war. Ukraine like any other country has good as well as bad people. Please read this article by late Andre Vltchek “Ukraine: Lies and Realities”:
https://www.globalresearch.ca/ukraine-lies-and-realities-we-can-see-the-wide-net-of-the-us-agents-operating-in-many-key-organizations/5377957
Andre traveled to Ukraine. He spoke and met and listened to the stories of the real people there.
“There is only one way to understand the zeitgeist of any society or culture, and that’s stepping out into it and listening. No matter how prescient or intelligent you may be, you carry assumptions which are often, when pitted against reality, wrong. It also keeps your work fresh: you’re constantly discovering new things; you’re asking yourself new questions; you’re shattering the old paradigms. I think reporting is key rather than living off old capital.” Taken from Chris Hedges Interview: https://reviewcanada.ca/magazine/2018/07/theres-no-plan-b-chris-hedges-on-the-collapse-of-america/
The opposition to Donbass war, while not visible is there. I highly recommend these articles:

And in addition, few days ago Ukrainian government has released information about Biden Corruption in Ukraine:
https://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2020/12/29/interfax-news-report-on-bidens-participation-in-ukrainian-corruption/
Of course, mainstream media will not cover it. It shows that people are slowly waking up and some are already awake, so there is hope. Also there was a talk of a massive military attack on Donbass for years and it never materialized, fortunately. I will not say that it will not happen, you just never know. I think opposition and army desertions do play a role. If Ukrainian people were clamoring for war and were firmly behind the fascist organizations, we would already have a WWIII. And do not forget that when Ukrainian people voted for Zelensky, they voted for the war end. Forget that he is a comedian. It is really no worse than having Trump as President. Trump was a reality TV star. Or Biden, who is senile and at times forgets who he is. Or Yeltsin who was a drunkard. Every country, and culture has good and bad sides, no country is purely evil or purely good. We live in the world, where reality is complex and there are no easy answers.
Also speaking of fascism, Azov and Pravy Sector. These organizations are terrible, and I do not condone their activities. And as Saker did say most Ukrainians hate Nazis. However Azov and Pravy Sector are not at all that different from western military institutions. Fascism comes in many forms, and it does not have to come in the form of brownshirts or fascist symbols. Back in 2010, wikileaks leaked a video “collateral murder”, where American soldiers were shooting at innocent Iraqi civilians, and seemed to be having fun and enjoying killing people. Also in addition Trump recently pardoned a group of mercenaries, who opened fire on innocent Iraqi civilians. None of these people, who committed atrocities have gotten justice. Another truly sad and disturbing example is Chris Kyle, a navy seal who wrote a book, American Sniper, recounting his experiences in Iraq. He called in the book Iraqis savages, and also regretted that he did not kill more. It was made into a movie back in 2014, and received widespread praise. This is Nazism and Fascism. Chris Kyle and others may not carry fascist symbols around, however the ideology is the same as of Hitler!
https://www.crimeandpower.com/2019/09/28/american-monster-chris-kyle-the-american-sniper/
Incredible that Chris Kyle, who is a mass killer was made out into a hero! Truly sad, and it seems people cannot connect the dots and realize this is Nazism in all but the name, and American Establishment loves to call anyone whom they consider bad guy Hitler! I have come to realization that Hitler and Bandera, as awful as they were, and not condoning their horrible crimes have really done no worse, than Chris Kyle, or Churchill for example:
https://crimesofbritain.com/the-crimes-of-winston-churchill/
And many other Europeans who are celebrated in the west. The difference is they killed “unpeople”. I see sometimes people, especially in the West, at least the ones who pay attention are shocked to see that their governments are in bed with neo-nazis, thinking “how can this happen”. Well, the answers are there, if you care to look. I highly recommend to read two books: “Stolen Continents” by Ronald Wright, and also “American Holocaust” by David E Stannard. The horrible crimes against humanity that the West has perpetrated for the past 500 years against the rest of the world have come back to haunt it. As Thysidities, Athenian historian writing about Pelopponisian war 2500 years ago stated: “Tyranny Athens imposed on others, it finally imposed on itself”. It should not come as a surprise that now West is in bed with Neo-Nazis. I think what is happening in Ukraine is mirror to the West, to show how much of savage monster the Europe and North America are, when you strip away the mask of civility! One of the commenters on this blog once wrote that colonialists and imperialist think that they can commit all kinds of crimes in Africa and Asia, and Latin America, deluding themselves that they will not touched by the consequences. Well chickens have come home to roost. It seems to me that as long as crimes were perpetrated in far away lands, and in internal colonies (Nazis got the inspiration for concentration camps from American campaigns to exterminate Native Americans, and also from so-called “Indian Reservations”), few in the West paid attention. “Civilized Europe” was destroying cultures in the past, and also aiding USA in it’s imperialist crimes and in the process creating failed states all over the world now is faced with a failed state right in its backyard. Evil perpetrated on others will eventually turn on perpetrators themselves. If Ukraine implodes, and causes severe problems for Europe, well it is hard to feel sympathy for Europeans. This will be a well earned karma for destructive behavior around the world, and in addition for failing to realize that regime changes around the world and murder of innocent civilians in far away places is not that different from Nazism. And now outright Nazism took root in so called “Civilized West”. WWI and WWII, Nazism, Fascism is West getting a taste of it’s own medicine. By the way world wars should be renamed western wars, because there were areas which avoided war, such as Latin America.
Please do not misunderstand me. I wish for Ukrainians to wake up and realize that we have been deceived by lies. I am ashamed and saddened by what is happening in Donbass. Here is the video I want you to see. It was taken back in 2012, during Euro Cap. Hard to imagine how things have changed:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJMjQ0MxIqs&t=119s
It is painful to watch. I wrote the above to show that before disparaging Ukraine, commenters should look in their own societies behavior, especially in the west. As one wise man once said: “O hypocrite take a beam out of your own eye, before pointing a beam in your own”. We are all in the same boat. This war in Dionbass, both sides suffer. In the end I want to address some points that you have made.
“They don’t want war, but they wage war. Must be an autonomic nerve disease. They just can’t help firing 120mm mortars and 155 mm artillery shells or MLRS Grad rockets at Donbass.”
It is said that Americans do not want a war, and westerners in general. And yet wars still continue. No matter who gets elected. Why? Where is the “freedom and democracy” that the West prides itself upon , particularly during the Cold War, when the US denounced the Soviet Union for authoritarianism?
“Of course the people don’t want war. But after all, it’s the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it’s always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it’s a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger.”
— Herman Goering at the Nuremberg trials
What is happening in Ukraine is not that unique. I read the author and journalist Chris Hedges, who has been in a war zones, and wrote about war. He once said that given the right circumstances we are all capable of doing great evil. This is a human issue, and I think we need to acknowledge this. Here is a very educational documentary “Rocks at Whiskey Trench”. When you have the time, please watch it. It opened my eyes. This is about 1990 Oka Crisis in Canada. What the ordinary people, people who are not some neo-nazi skinheads, but ordinary people, no different than you and me “these are you neighbors, folks” did is just unbelievable! And this is Canada! A country, priding itself as enlightened and civilized society.
https://youtu.be/V3cYG2vORYc
And Canadians are shocked that Canadian government aids outright neo nazis! There is no surprise in light of what Canada did to the first nations people. Also may I remind you that US and Canadian governments brought over Neo Nazis to Canada and USA in the 1940’s after the wars end. How do you think USA built it’s Military Industrial Complex? You reap what you saw!!!!!
What is happening to Ukraine can happen to any country. Problem is Western propaganda is extremely effective. This is what Axis of Resistance must realize. It is not just military, or financial domain, but the narrative is what needed to be confronted.
https://journal-neo.org/2016/08/20/western-propaganda-so-simple-but-so-effective-2/
https://www.globalresearch.ca/in-countries-destroyed-by-the-west-people-should-stop-admiring-the-u-s-and-europe/5668956
Read the above articles. They will explain better than I will. None of us are immune from propaganda. People are not born evil or with desire to kill. It depends on circumstances, and with right education and raising children correct, we can bring forward decent human beings. Even though I said people are vulnerable to evil, recognizing this reality will help control darker aspects of our natures.
“Russia has already said what the reaction will be. “Ukraine will cease to exist as a state.” That was from Putin himself.”
Putin has no desire or intention to eliminate Ukraine. He considers Ukrainian and Russians the same people:
https://russia-insider.com/en/putin-ukraine-and-russia-united-would-be-global-rival-west-theyll-do-anything-tear-us-apart-video
The annihilation of Ukraine will happen in extreme circumstances and if there is no other choice. Putin and Russia want a better relation with Ukraine.
“The wish here is for them to dash for Donetsk or Lugansk or the southern border again.”
I am not certain of what exactly you are trying to say. But if you mean you wish for Ukrainian Military attacking Donbass so that Russia will militarily intervene. This will make already bad situation worse. Lots of innocent people will die, and there will be a huge Humanitarian disaster. USA then will have a cause to keep Europe more tightly on the leash, and also keep Cold War going for another 50 years. Also keep in mind there is Russophobic Ukrainian Community, who will put immense pressure on US Government to intervene. And there are crazed neocons who will be more than happy to oblige. The risk of nuclear war will increase way more than already. In addition remember that the West controls the narrative and has brilliant propaganda apparatus. Seeing humanitarian catastrophe unfolding in Ukraine, due to Russia’s military intervention “Civilized Europe’s” backyard will cause Russia to become a global pariah, and the so called “Civilized West” will exploit the blunder and resulting civilian suffering to it’s maximum advantage.
“I can’t wait for that Ukie military to be turned to twisted metal and ashes and Kiev disinfected of the scum and CIA who infest it. I want to see if they can get to Lviv before the Russian airborne eliminate the lot of them.”
Well for me, I cannot wait for US “super-duper missiles” to borrow Trumps colorful term to be turned into a scrap metal also. And US nuclear triad, and might as well throw in European Army, along with Israeli army with it’s nukes. Now that would be something. And also: why stop at Lviv and Kiev? Might as well go to Warshaw, to Brussels to eliminate cowardly spineless EU bureaucrats, and lets us also go Washington D.C to cleanse Clintons, Obamas, Bushes, and other neocons. Do not forget London, Israel and also Saudi Arabia. World will finally have peace, then!
“If any nation-state deserves oblivion, it is Ukraine. With the Azov and Pravy Sektor annihilated, every last one of them, and the military reduced to a chain gang receiving re-education for five years, the people left penniless with the assets of their land sold off by the oligarchs, they will have no hope but to relocate to other lands.”
Thinking logically and rationally, and also in light of imperialism, I can say the same thing about deserving oblivion, about United States of America, Canada, Australia, Israel, Saudi Arabia, and also Great Britain, and let us not forget rest of European countries, for their stupidity. Especially Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Czech Republic for their Russophobia. Poland especially deserves a Darwin Award for volunteering to have nuclear missiles, pointed at Moscow placed on it’s territory. At the end, a question for you: Where will Ukrainians go? To which lands, exactly?
Mr. Larchmonter, with all due respect I respect your opinion. However please understand that Ukrainians are human beings like everywhere else. We are struggling to survive in a difficult environment, with war especially. And this as emphasized before not just Ukraine. There is poverty everywhere. How is it for example that USA which is most wealthiest country in history has such terrible infrastructure, most Americans are one paycheck away from disaster. Read Chris Hedges book “America: The Farewell Tour”. The reason why I wrote the above is for you to have food for thought. If you want Ukrainians to stop the war, and denounce Bandera. Set a good example and stop the wars that you, people of the west are conducting, and while you are at it, be honest about people you admire such as Churchill, that they are also just as bad as Hitler, if not worse. I remember my social studies teacher told a story about 16 years ago about how during the war in Yugoslavia in the 1990’s, American Delegation came and started to urge people to stop the Genocides. The response was: “a century before you killed off indigenous people back in America, and now you come half way around the world, and lecture us about Ethnic Cleansing and Genocide?” Sad thing is Westerners are still in denial about Genocides done elsewhere:
https://www.globalresearch.ca/european-holocaust-had-roots-in-africa-now-namibia-is-suing-germany/5651541
The Ukraine Crisis is the direct consequence of the failure of Westerners to realize that crimes committed in places such Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, and many other places throughout the world will eventually migrate home, and that regimes such as Israel or Saudi Arabia may not have outright Nazi Symbols, however the ideology that feeds them is the same. What is Nazism at it’s core? It is dehumanization and hatred of the other, and as emphasized before, it does not necessarily has to come in the form of swastikas (by the way swastika is the symbol of good luck and has been in existence for millennia, long before Nazis have appropriated it) or SS uniforms. Now the West has disaster right in it’s backyard, with shocked faces thinking “how did this happen?” Ukraine maybe unfortunately pulling the trigger in Donbass, however the collective West also Murders people in Donbass, my fellow Ukrainians! There are limits of blaming solely Ukraine on the Donbass War. And what is happening in Ukraine cannot be isolated from what is happening elsewhere. Take Care.
Dear AM,
I appreciate your decency but the problem we are discussing is much larger. The Ukraine is not a country but a Project – of the Vatican, German Imperial General Staff, Austria-Hungary now leveraged by the USA, Britain and Germany to deprive Russia of one of the centres of its spirituality and culture. The fact that their ruse has succeeded (people call themselves “Ukrainians”) does not mean that there is any truth in this (at least to the Dnieper line).
There are many similar projects carved out of the bodies of genuine Slav nations (especially the Serbs) – but there are others – Pakistan etc etc. Ukraine should not be blamed but reabsorbed into Russia – as must surely happen once the criminals have got their just desserts.
Thank you for your kind response. My hope is that things will improve soon. Hopefully soon we all will have peace and real criminals end up on trial for crimes against humanity. The video of the people of Donetsk dancing and being happy, during the 2012 Euro Cup is sad and also haunting. Who would have imagined that things will turn ugly in less than 3 years. And this was precisely my point. Ukraine is a symptom of a much larger problem. The root of the problem are Anglo Zionist elites. They have to be removed from power and made accountable for their crimes. What is happening in Ukraine is not that unique. People in Ukraine are suffering and are demoralized. No matter who gets in, its always the same. We all have the common enemy. They are neocons in Washington DC.
“The Ukraine is not a country but a Project – of the Vatican, German Imperial General Staff, Austria-Hungary now leveraged by the USA, Britain and Germany to deprive Russia of one of the centres of its spirituality and culture. The fact that their ruse has succeeded (people call themselves “Ukrainians”) does not mean that there is any truth in this (at least to the Dnieper line).”
I will say this at the end: what is happening in Ukraine would have never taken place if our common Ukrainian and Russian ancestors never fought for power centuries ago, and focused on building a unified, prosperous nation. Where would Kievan Rus be today? I am not the only one who asking this question.
Why did the West succeed? Because Rus princes were disunited and were more focused on their selfish power struggles. House divided against itself cannot stand, as one wise man said. Yaroslav the Wise, before his death in 1054, once gave one of his sons a stick, and told the son to break it. The son easily broke a single stick, and then Yaroslav gave a bundle of sticks and told the son to break them. The son could not break a bundle. And Yaroslav gave his sons a lesson: “Just like a bundle of sticks, you must be united, and you will not be broken”. It is sad that it went in one ear and came out the other. This is the lesson of history: you must be united in a common goal, and you will not be defeated! You must stay together. Saker mentioned that historically the worst enemies for Russia (As well as Ukraine, I will add) are internal enemies. The ones willing to sell their Motherland out for a personal benefit, and also selfish benefit. The West has perfected the art of divide and conquer. Russia has to get it right this time. Otherwise game over for Slavic peoples. I admit it worries me. What comes after Putin, Lavrov, and Shoigu? They will not be around forever, and have to sooner or later step down. They will have to pass the torch to their successors, who will have a big shoes to fill! As Saker stated, Russia, at least for now is a one man show – Putin. And Putin the man have to sooner or later be replaced by Putin the System. What gives me sense of optimism is that the Russian leadership is smart, and knows history’s lessons. I am sure Putin as well as Shoigu, and Lavrov, and people closest to them are thinking about the future, and long term plans. I am certain that they do not want their hard work being undone. Well take care, Mr. Leslie. God’s Blessings!
What comes after Putin should not be the worry, the worry should be:Why did Putin deem it necessary to enact a law which protects Russian leaders from prosecution after leaving office. What does that imply?
Can you please send the Link? Where did you get this information?
Also Happy New Year, Mr. Leslie. I sincerely hope 2021, will be better!
I completely agree with you vis-a-vis the war against the Slavs (that is the essence) and wish you a Happy New Year!
There are always conflicts and quarrels but how come these have always been exploited by the same criminals. There were no Russians trying to separate the Protestant/Slav North Germany from the Catholic South. However, if German dirty games continue, that is precisely what we shall be working on.
“There are always conflicts and quarrels but how come these have always been exploited by the same criminals.”
I think sadly is because neither we, Ukrainians, and Russians and I can say all the Slavs historically failed to learn lessons of history, which is truly unfortunate. I think and I truly hope things are changing.
Sincerely thank you for the New Year Wishes. All the best to you and family and friends in this New 2021 year!
For the first time in my life I had a chance to meet maybe 20 Ukrainians here in Canadistan and I am really impressed how nice, friendly , happy and (good-looking) they all are. They remind me of Serbians (where I am from). My niece who was born here has a BF whose parents are from Ukraine – and this guy was the best student at the best business school in Canada (my niece studied there too), very good looking, has a great sense of humor and loves my niece.
Ukis are infinitely nicer, better looking, happier, have a far better sense of humor than any Canadistani sheeple I have ever met.
Thanks. As a Ukrainian I appreciate. You met some great people, which is great. But I will say there are good and bad people in every culture. It is sad that there are conflicts around the world, especially among peoples who are family. Happy New Year. Take Care. God’s blessings to you and your family.
Your comment should or must be published as an article on its own right here or elsewhere!!!
Heartfelt congratulations!!!
PD.. just a suggestion from a humble reader….
Friend, millions of Brits felt the way you now feel when Tony Blair was subverting Parlilamentary convention and Cabinet Collective Responsibility to make us pay for a war in Iraq that we neither needed nor believed in. He has earned £100m since office due to his murderous perfidy.
The sad reality is that there will be people in Ukraine getting rich out of doing the US’ bidding in terms of bombing Donbass. Folks just like Tony Blair in fact….
I agree. I once heard expression: “war is business”. There will be people who will make big money off the war. As for Tony Blair, I have no doubt that somehow someway he will get his karma! However the problem goes beyond Blair or Bush. I have made a realization that in the West, unlike in outright dictatorships the real power is in the shadows and is hidden. The Democracy is an illusion that you have a choice. The rhetoric of Democracy is there, however the substance is empty. We need to flush out those in the shadows.
In Ukraine, unfortunately I admit that we have lots of internal enemies, especially in power, who will sellout their country for a selfish gain. This is a sad reality.
I would highly recommend to you, my friend this video:

Take care. As I emphasized before, whether Ukrainians, Americans, Brits, Germans, Canadians, etc we are in the same boat. Hope we live to see the day when warmongers are in the prison suits.
Larchmonter445
Absolutely nailed it! Thank you!
I could never quite get beyond my revulsion at the hypocrisy of the us military and kiev nazis as to how they could justify using grad, MLRS, 120 mm, 152/155mm arty against defenseless civilian apt buildings, city centers, which had no military aspects, again, no military.
Speaking of scum, this may be a tad OT, but if this candidate for DNI gets in, we can expect more of the outrage across the board for Russia, China, and much of the remainder of the world:
https://original.antiwar.com/mbenjamin/2020/12/29/why-senators-must-reject-avril-haines-for-intelligence/
Take a look at what she has had her bloody hands in during her career!
They are bullies and cowards. Karma will come for them eventually. Honestly, I will not be surprised if come the year 2035, Nazis in Kiev will end up hanged from the gallows by the same people who supported them. I remember reading about execution of Sadam Hussein about 15 years ago . Particularly seeing his face, it was mixture of shock and anger. He if I am not mistaken even yelloud out: “traitors” before being hanged. During 1980’s, Sadam Hussein was among the dictators that Washington Establishment loved. During Iraq Iran War, elites showered him with weapons and money. And then 15-20 years later he ended being villain, another “Hitler”.
Lesson is this: Empires elites, once you outlive your usefulness will throw you out like garbage or turn you into a cardboard villain. Never ally with AZ Empires elites. They will at the end betray you. I hope my fellow Ukrainians wake up before this happens.
The Biden Administration: a slightly different prediction.
Democracy in America has finally been hijacked by the Fascist Empire ruled by the Global Elite.
Thus the west will soon face the most rabid human-phobic gang of Neo-Liberals and Neo-cons.
A classic game of Good cop – Bad cop, to threaten and lure concessions out of any opponent.
The Neo-cons will still threaten sovereign Nations like Iran. While the Neo-Liberals will reinstate the Obama nuclear non-proliferation deal with Iran.
By now the Global Elite prime objective is to fully end sovereignty of western nations.
It will be done by continuing the terror operations within NATO nations, while printing and throwing away money at the Global Elite corporations and propaganda outlets.
The internal propaganda is to keep the globalist plunder of the west going as long as possible.
Money will be spent on: demonizing whites, Fathers, Christians, and heterosexual in general.
Money will be spent on NGO propaganda aimed at demonizing any sovereign Nation.
However, a higher ratio of money will now be allocated to propaganda within the West itself to keep the grooving opposition and riots at bay.
They will make conferences used to propagandize how firm Biden is against China, Russia and Iran.
Biden, Harris and the EU will show their solidarity with the Empire by parroting the Imperial agenda.
The US and NATO will keep on using its forces for propaganda purposes only. Petty harassment against Russia and China will continue. However, Russians have nothing to fear, except a fed up Russian or Chinese officer suddenly opening fire, thereby escalating a western provocation into a full-scale war.
The Global Elite owned US and EU MIC will continue its propaganda for costly Space Force, Hypersonic missiles, Artificial Intelligence, and Missile shield, instead of a realistic defense.
The list of European business put under US sanctions will grow, while the Neo-Liberals in the US and EU will try to sell whatever is left of national sovereignty to China and Russia.
However, the pending collapse of the Empire will not give much time for Globalist agents to pursue foreign wars for which they simply do not have the military strength or public support for.
History repeats:
Putin sent the Khazar menace out of the former USSR, in order to be able to rebuild Russia.
This time not beyond the pale, as Catherine the Great did, but all the way to Brussels and Washington.
And once again, Europe will be a war zone caused by this menace.
However, this time the native European Christian population will be up against super national entities hijacked by Khazar Agents controlling our military, Intelligence, Police, healthcare and the Media.
If the European Christians don’t survive this fight, Christian Russia will be the next on the list.
A UN-Happy New Year.
Good analysis except for one point. The globalist parasites are not so stupid as to fully destroy their host without establishing a new host.
China was a devastated country after Mao. The current quasi capitalism was a step up, thereby releasing “animal spirits”, as they say in the investment world. If the globalists fully defeat the west, there will be no such spirits for militaries, technology, etc. Defeated and morally destroyed people do not make good soldiers or inventors. The globalists would end up with no power base unless it is China.
As I described below, I think the current moves increase the threat to Russia.
Dear Larchmonter445,
I used to like your comments, but it seems to me that neither you nor Saker want to see things as they are, and this fake pandemic has opened all the cards to the viewer …
I’m sure the last interview with Ms. Catherine Austin Fitts – gives a much much clearer picture than this less significant one – which you and Saker are unfortunately projecting to people around the world…
If you have time, I would recommend:
https://theduran.com/catherine-austin-fitts-full-interview-planet-lockdown/
malleni, Both The Saker and Larchmonter445 can stand up for themselves, much better than what I can do it. But let me stand up for both these men.
You are reading an analysis of a possible Biden administration and the effect of that on Russia. You’re not reading of the madness of a pandemic being used to usher in a financial coup across the western world (which in my mind will fail and they will have to try something else). So, your comment is completely out of it, as it looks like you want to read what neither The Saker, nor Larchmonter445 actually wrote. So what is being ‘projected to people around the world’, is the effect on Russia of a possible Biden administration – simply that topic
Regarding CAF, there is great respect for her in these quarters. I post each of her significant interviews very regularly in the Cafe and sometimes in comments. She comments here, from time to time. You will find a number of The Saker and CAF interviews on this blog and CAF may even consult The Saker on Russian issues judging from the interviews.
What you posted there is the bones of a movie being made, based on some of CAF’s work throughout this year. There are a number of more complete interviews and videos freely available on all platforms. But that is not an issue at this moment as The Saker’s analysis does not touch any of those points. CAF is talented and brilliant and she knows money, business, economics and governmental overreaches (and more). The Saker (and Larchmonter445) are talented and The Saker knows analysis on a geopolitical level (and much more). I have not even plumbed the depths of the competencies of Larchmonter445 and would not pretend to know. I just know that he is brilliant, a very clear writer and a good man.
You will find that these people stay within their own competencies and that is what makes them good and unique.
If you have a competency in analyzing the pandemic/plandemic/scamdemic, what you consider ‘more significant’, you may feel free to write your manuscript and present it to The Saker for possible publication. Perhaps with better understanding you can now stop commenting all over the place that people are not writing exactly what you want to read.
And for CAF, do her the honor of posting her own site and she is very active on Twitter although looking for another venue for microblogging. She usually puts all of her new work as a link on that feed.

(I guess I am reactive to this as these are all people that have my respect and admiration – with hopes for a good new year to all).
Amarynth,
Thank you for your kind words.
Happy New Year to you and your family and friends. Robust health and peace to you.
For all the folks out in the digital ether, my best wishes.
May good health, success, and kind thoughts enter you life in 2021.
I agree with you. The small detail of this massive elephant in the room dystopian psyop greatresetting and apocalyptic pandemic seems to be brushed under the carpet by many here… Why? Must be off topic self censorship ( a frequent tool used here…well it affects or will affect All aspects of geopolitics and Life!!!) Another excuse frequently used by the Saker (sorry to criticize and for my cheek) We are not epidemiologists to judge… Ja!!! We are not stupid either. Let the puppet epidemiologists Faucis and cos and their masters enslave us all while we talk about Ukraine, Russia, the US elections or a tomato soup recipe…
Dear Davidoff,
“… Why? Must be off topic self censorship …”
I agree …
It is really not clear to me why these naive stories about “geopolitics” – while before our eyes – the massacre of all mankind is being organized …
Including the Russian people, which is also completely under the terror of a false pandemic.
This is exactly the content of Ms. CAF’s last interview…
It is time that NATO was disbanded and all US military bases in the EU repatriated.
JohnTB, I have read you analysis below, and find it almost spot on.
Regarding the Globalist not being so stupid to destroy their host without having established a new host, you must recognize that the globalist has been moving their assets and companies to China for decades. The move of western companies to China was done to maximize profit by producing cheap in China, while selling these products at elevated prices in the West.
The Globalist Elite already had chosen their new host before they moved their production to China,
Here is why: The American Century of Finance and War
Back in 1910, the Old European Elite and the New American Elite formed the Global Elite of today, and succeeded in hijacking the American financial system by causing a string of financial crash in America.
In 1913, the Crashes led to the formation of the US Federal Reserve Bank of today.
However the US FED is neither Federal, nor has it any reserve capital. It is owned by the Global Elite and since 1971 there has been no reserve capital.
In 1914, the strings of financial crashes in America had spread to Europe, and simultaneously the Global Elite via its agents of Freemasons had instigated riots in Europe and financed the Russian revolution. These coordinated string of destabilization and assassinations lead to WWI.
In 1929 the Global Elite once again rocked Wall Street with a string of financial fraud, and this time the whole world was hit by a Great Depression. The financial connection between old Europe and America led to the Proverb: When America Sneezes Europe catches the cold.
In 1933, the world leaders agreed upon a New Deal, the Glass Steagall act, to separate speculative investments form Banking and insurance companies, in order to avoid future Depressions. However, the damage to the world economy was too big to stop, and the Great Depression + the defeat of Germany during WWI, became the precursor to WWII.
In 1939 when NAZI Germany invaded Poland, many western and Asian nations began to deposit their National Gold in Fort Knox US, in order to avoid having their Gold stolen by the NAZI and Japanese Empire.
In 1944, the world accepted that their Gold deposits in the US were used as a fund for the new Bretton woods Monetary system, and the Dollar was made into a world currency backed by Gold. As we all know by now, the US never intended to return the gold, but used it to pay off the US war debt.
In 1971, The US defeat in the Vietnam war led President Nixon to take the US Dollar off the Gold standard, and instead make a deal with Middle Eastern oil producers to recycle most of their surplus oil income into US Treasury Bonds.
In 1974 The Dollar was effectively backed by Oil, thus the name the Petro dollar.
From then on all Oil and other goods sold in the world had to be paid with dollars, and the US printing machines went into overload printing dollars for the whole world.
The US had now spend all the Gold deposited by Nations in 1944, plus was creating large budget deficit each year, thus creating a huge and growing National debt, financed by issuing US T. Bonds. Simultaneously the US was effectively taxing all world trade by the inflation of the US dollar. Today, the US debt is owed primarily by Saudi Arabia, China and Russia.
In 1999, the world had enough, and had long demanded a new fair monetary system.
However, instead of complying with the demand of Nations, the Global Elite agent Bill Clinton signed into law the Gramm–Leach–Bliley Act, effectively destroying the Glass Steagall act set in place back in 1933 to avoid a repeat of the Great Depression.
By now the Global elite had seen the writing on the wall, and began to move their production overseas.
This was helped along by Free trade agreements signed by Global Elite politicians, to accept large inflow of low price Chinese goods into western Nations without any tariff, thus effectively undermining the livelihood of western workers and entrepreneurs.
In 2001, the Global Elite agent Bush II, stood at the helm when the falls flag attack hit the Twin Towers and Building 7 in New York world Trade Centre. The falls flag attack was used by Agent Bush II to initiate the Global War on Terror, to plunder Nations for their national resources and to force upon them a central Bank connected to the Global Elite central banking system.
In 2008. The consequences of the Gramm–Leach–Bliley Act send the western world into a new financial crisis, after widespread fraud by financial centers throughout the West. Instead of stopping the fraud by law, the Political agents of the Global Elite printed even more Dollars, Euros and Yen to save multinational corporations owned by the Global Elite from bankruptcy. The financial crisis of 2008 send all western nations even deeper into debt, without changing the deregulation which had cause of both WWI, WWII and the Global War on Terror.
Since the Financial crisis of 2008, Major world players like Russia, China, Iran, Venezuela, and many other Nations abandoned the US dollar as trade currency. All their dollar reserves have slowly been re-invested back into America and Europe, and today, they owe much of the western Production and infrastructure.
In 2018 Russia, China and Iran formed a military alliance, to counter US and NATO. Thereby they have financially, productively and militarily secured the end of the western Empire.
In 2019, the west saw major demonstrations rising in Italy, Spain, France and Germany, by people feed up by their loos of purchasing power caused by rising inflation, outsourcing of production in China, costly wars, reduction of social welfare, confiscation of pensions, and escalating immigration problems.
In 2020, all NATO nations were put into a COVID-19 lock down, to avoid Riots, and they are now running police state and Neo Fascist propaganda via the Global Elite owned western MSM 24/7.
They have tried to hijack the US Presidency by voter fraud, to counter the popular revolt electing President Trump in 2016, in order to reinstate their Globalist Agent Joe Biden,
Today, the whole world has been raped by the Global Elite and their agents, and they are hated in every Nation, except China and Asia who has welcomed their investments.
However, if the Global Elite should decide to flee to China, they will never gain influence in China.
In China only the CCP rules.
The western population has been defrauded of their wealth by the Global Elite, and a repeat of the American and French revolutions is brewing, thereby threatening to fracture the US, EU and UK.
The Global Elite are cornered rats, and as such, they are extreme dangerous.
However, I do not believe that they will start a war with Russia, China or Iran, it is way too risky for themselves.
Their only hope is to launch their Green NEW DEAL during the Lock downs, to send the west into recession and the western population back into poverty and serfdom, thereby keeping their control of the west.
My hope for the New Year is that the western population breaks free of their lock down, and sets a new course toward freedom and prosperity for all.
The only reason US politicians hate Russia is because their Jewish masters tell them to hate it, since Russia is protecting Syria from the Israeli Jewish onslaught of Mossad-trained terrorists.
It’s really that simple.
http://biblicisminstitute.wordpress.com/2015/03/17/the-truth-about-the-conflict-with-russia/
The masters of grudge and conspiracy have a much older reason. If you do a little research on Khazaria and look at the pedigree of these US politicians you will see why.
Please offer advice to those who:
1) Realize that every message The AngloZionist Empire transmits is to be regarded with deep suspicion, including and especially information concerning Russia.
2) Possess a sincere desire to learn and understand more about Russia from credible sources, preferably without having to learn the Russian language first.
3) Possess the will to put in the work if some organization (the Russian government perhaps?) would be willing to produce and distribute the material.
We may sense that Russia does not owe anything to anyone, and therefore is under no obligation to incur the costs of fixing problems that are not their own, such as the gross ignorance of non-Russian global populations concerning Russia.
But on the other hand, perhaps Russia has a duty to itself to step up, challenge and PUSH BACK HARD against the daily black lies churning out of the AngloZionist propaganda mills, in order to protect their honor and reputation among the global community.
In this post-American Election Fraud period, many Americans are open to fresh ideas and viewpoints. In general they are watching and listening more intently than ever.
Our greatest enemy is ignorance.
Grateful for any recommendations on where to begin defeating it.
“Our greatest enemy is ignorance.
“Grateful for any recommendations on where to begin defeating it”.
Without wanting to be too much of a wet blanket, may I suggest that the first step should be to recruit Hercules?
This article is a somewhat comforting read in that it posits a kind of meta status quo moving forward. I find it a nice wish.
I hope I am wrong in feeling that we are instead entering dangerously unknown waters. Seeing most of the world goose- or lock-stepping towards trans humanism hell is deeply troubling from my perspective. And there would seem to be all sorts of geopolitical implications, though I am far from an expert in this area.
The lock step appears very much Anglo Zionist to use your terminology. The English, for example, are in a thrall of 1984-ism, while the Rockefeller Institute gamed the whole thing as an exercise just months before the official arrival of the virus.
The China connection is difficult to resolve because there are strong WHO/China ties (along with Gates, Fauci, Biden connections) on the one hand vs. a growing anti- China sentiment on the other hand. The WEF billionaire club clearly sees China as the ideal authoritarian governmental style serving as a model for the whole world as they plan to run it.
However, Russia seems clearly in another category altogether. They are not a darling of globalists as China is, and appear to be committed to the old model of nationalism. They also do not appear to be in active expansion mode as the Chinese are (Africa, ocean take over, etc). Thus, I can imagine that the marriage of convenience between China and Russia in trying to survive against a strong US could easily begin to weaken.
The globalists have strengthened China at the expense of the US. This situation would seem to put Russia in a precarious position. I do not share the view of China as benign actor with only increased trade as its objective. If China is the new home base for the globalists, then a nationalistic Russia stands in a lonely and targeted position as one of the few remaining hold outs.
I do wonder if the globalists have made a fatal decision in planning to rely on China going forward. It is easy to see why the Chinese would jump at the offer of free help over the past few decades, but it is hard to imagine either the Chinese or the Anglo Zionists playing second fiddle to the other. Shared leadership? Sounds like fantasy to me.
As they say, there is no honor among thieves. Partners in crime are seldom magnanimous with the spoils. In other words, I see strife ahead. Globalism is just no fun at all if one or more countries refuse to submit.
Those behind the locks downs have shown themselves to be ruthless in the extreme. Millions of lives are being destroyed economically as billions will now serve as Guinea pigs for barely tested new technology vaccines. Serious scientists are raising urgent concerns.
If I were Putin, I would be on full alert. Trump’s good intentions towards Russia were overtaken by his need to satisfy political allies as he tried to strengthen the US. A Biden presidency would have no good thought towards Russia nor interest in a strong US. Anything and everything is for sale to the highest bidder – a game China is happy to play, but one that leaves Russia without a seat at the table.
I think Chiba has maybe had a ‘Khodorkovskii moment‘ where the state asserts primacy over private money with ‚Jack Ma‘ amd Ali Baba. I may be wrong but at least the Chinese and the Russians know who is accountable on each side.
@Gideon A
Jack Ma found himself in the precarious “straddling two stools” in the China v USUK/HK color mini-revolution in 2018/9.
China waited. Now HK is no longer in the headlines, and Trump is otherwise distracted…. they’ve removed a stool, and Ma is toppled.
Bravo.
This is an excellent analysis.
We must not forget the false pandemic and the answer to it – in every country in the world…
This.
Excellent comment,JohnTB.
This too is of grave concern to me. I live in England and see the destruction that these lockdowns are having on the population and economy.
I fear that the world will be multi-polar but with the WEF globalist model of governance. A recall and article from 2011 where Russia’s sphere of influence in this NWO included Ukraine and the Caucus region. We know of the ongoing tension with Ukraine as well as the recent deployment of Russian forces in the Caucus.
Time will tell although I fear the world is already too late.
Thanks Saker for this overview.
What I retain as your most valuable insights is contained in your following words :
“””
In purely military terms, US/NATO military capabilities are no real threat.
— western militaries have not been training for real wars for decades already
— the West is about 1,5-2 decades behind Russia in most critical military technologies
— the folks at the Pentagon are mostly aware of the real world out there, and they probably recognize that the US armed forces are in no condition to fight any halfway capable opponent.
“””
What I retain, from your “In purely military terms…” approach, is that the West is incapable militarily to stop the shift of “the economy-world” outside of the Western orbit. In other words it is unavoidable that the rest of the world is going soon to affirm its centrality in “the economy-world” while the West finds itself marginalized…
There is another perspective to look at the state of Geo-politics than “In purely military terms…”. That other perspective is to look at the state of Geo-politics “in purely societal terms”. What I mean is that Geo-politics is the level-playing field where national societies ‘de facto’ balance their national strengths in term of their societal capabilities. And their societal capabillities are best measured in terms of their societal cohesion. This is what President Putin has in mind when he talks about “the use of brains rather than wasting money”.
Observing the present handling of Covid-19 by the West is most enlightning in this respect. Western societies are litterally showing to the rest of the world that they can’t use their brains any longer. The only thing that keeps working is printing money to be wasted… So what is going on here ?
The answer is that a convergence between, — hyper-individualism — materialism — and the destruction by postmodernism of all “foundational narratives”, has resulted in the separation of Western citizens from one another. This state of affairs is best known under the sociological moniker of “societal atomization” which basically means that each individual is left on her/his own to fend for survival and as a consequence all the individuals start to believe that they know better about everything than anyone else. They know better than the medical doctors, the epidemiologists or any other scientists, and confusion rises making Western societies look like mad-houses in Bosch’s paintings. This is when the elites start to prepare their exit, corruption becomes generalized, and state institutions are used to fleece the citizens of their life savings. Yes that’s where Western countries are today. We are living in the last minutes of the Western day of Modernity…
If Russia survived the collapse of the Soviet-Union it was because the nation flocked behind its religious and cultural traditions and this is what allowed it to save its brain and mind. In contrast the West has irrevocably destroyed its traditions so there is nothing for people to flock behind any longer. So nothing will be there to save the West from falling ever deeper… until it goes extinct on the Geo-political level playing field.
But seen the kinetic power that the West has accumulated over the last century it could still provoke much damage. It is at this junction of the reasoning that your insights are most valuable.
Like your post….but even zombies can be dangerous……
You are dreaming, Russia and China are just half a century behind the west but they will go to the same direction albeit at their own pace : the total subsmission of consumerism in China is just another evidence but you are blind to this reality as you amalgamate the western capitalist class (which is wrongly often called oligarchy or gloablist) and the proletarian class (all the others) which are not so uniform in the west.
The supposed hyper individualism and materialism of the west allows its turnaround which will not happen in the far east and especially in Russia and China where its capitalist class are doing everything they can to move as much money they can abroad.
You note that Russia is well ahead in term of military term, that’s true but they are will behind all others contrary to China. Russia has never been a threat itself to anglo-capitalism, it is just a threat when linked to another advanced zone like Germany in the past or China in the future.
Consider this simple economic fact: the US middle class gets depleted by the day, whereas thousands of new Chinese families join the middle class every month (or even week, if my memory serves me right). In terms of social strata, the US looks more and more like a 3rd-world country; and as the pension problem sets in, this will be even more apparent.
Of course but you are blind to chinese own imbalances : chinese debt is now higher than those of several european countries but that was not the issue here. I was indeed just replying to the supposed individualism and materialism of the west. That’s totally misrespresented the reality of the proletarian western class and the trend regarding asian societies.
@RD
The enormous difference between China and the US is that… while the US were busy fighting all kinds of wars in the Middle-East and wherever else, China was busy purchasing thousands of tons of gold, as did India and Russia. The mighty dollar is backed by nothing, unlike the Yuan. We are a banana republic staring a complete economic collapse square in the face.
A gold back currency will maybe come back but it will be fail very quickly (maybe before one decade) in my opinion and to quote Marx :
Hegel remarks somewhere that all great, world-historical facts and personages occur, as it were, twice. He has forgotten to add: the first time as tragedy, the second as farce.”
The world has indeed give up to monetary metals for one reason, that being said the latters could come haunt fiat in the future…
As usual a good analysis of the Trump/Biden issue.
The Western neoliberal system is bankrupt.
The crisis of 2008 was the beginning and flooding fiat money is no solution.
Check the debt/GDP ratios of any country since 2008 and you will see mostly doubling of debt.
Add to it the economic consequences of the pandemic (irrelevant if the virus was fabricated or has a natural origin), the West will end in hyperinflation and scarcity of goods eventually.
The West is having the sharpest economic contraction since WWII.
The time frame could be now or in 3,5 years, depending how the world perceives value to the US dollar or other countries manage to establish an alternative safe means of exchange.
A recent article from RUSSTRAT Institute has a detail on possible time frame
of the US dollar demise which I consider too optimistic:
https://www.stalkerzone.org/how-much-longer-the-us-will-still-be-able-to-print-dollars-and-not-sink/
Irrespective of the 2008 crisis and the pandemic, the West economic system is in decline since 1965, if you have a close look at the internal rate of return of capital stock (IRR). Detailed here:
https://thenextrecession.wordpress.com/2020/07/25/a-world-rate-of-profit-a-new-approach/
The West is a generator of astronomic debt and it only responds with austerity (less social and health services, less proper education system, less security), the creation of fiat money and a massive information system of irrelevant spectacles of fake issues.
In contrast, we have Russia, China and few countries in Asia, were the economy – the real economy (not the surreal stock exchange) – is growing, there is actual reduction of poverty, new massive infrastructure and amazing technological progress.
The future is clear: The West will end applying neofascist doctrines to control what is left of their population, while the East will enforce their independence with ever new military technology, a flourishing economy and sane moral and societal values.
Yesterday Argentina started vaccinating with the Russian vaccine. The national airline is shuttling between Buenos Aires and Moscow to bring all the purchased vaccines. Governors and other politicians are vaccinating in public to create confidence and dispell the fake information created by Washington and London against Russian science.
Proud to be Argentinian.
Cheers from France.

It seems you are unaware of chinese capitalism basis where total debt will reach 350% next year, now comparable to some of european countries. China is falling more day by day into financial black hole like the “west” did.
That’s not because of chinese mismangement (same thing could be said albeit less I agree for the west), that’s because intrinsic capitalism feature. The lack of debt is Russia shows just how archaic its capitalism system is.
China has no external debt in a foreign currency. Its domestic currency the yuan is created by its government owned central bank free of debt to private banks. China is now the world’s largest creditor nation with $2.3 trillion in foreign exchange reserves. Any money China owes is to itself.
By contrast the US Treasury is $26 trillion in debt to private sector banks on which $750 billion in yearly interests had to be paid, plus the fact that the US physical trade deficit runs at $50 billion per month.
You misread my post : I refer to TOTAL debt (all debts excluding financial sector), not just state one. For example corporate debt is in China TWICE this in US. You can also add 50% GDP for local governement and more than 50% for household (still quite low compared with the west indeed) but in 2025 this number will be much higher.
For your information Germany total debt is lower than this of China…
I do not say western capitalism is not in crisis, I just say that China is LOGICALY following the same pattern.
Two-thirds of the total Chinese debt is owed by companies that built China’s impressive infrastructure, including 16,000 miles of high speed rail and 93,000 miles of highway, double the length of the US Interstate system. Some Chinese infrastructure is wasted, but most is not. The US accumulated debts to pay for entitlements, while China took on debt to fund infrastructure.
Conclusion:
— debts to pay for entitlements don’t accrue annual returns… but interests have to be paid to foreign and private financial institutions at a cost of 750 Billion/year and growing as per Kapricorn4 here above.
— if China was following Western classifications its Corporate debt would appear as State investment that was financed with state printed money. So the state has to pay interests on the loans it made to itself…
First, I do not say western and especially american capitalism is not in dying mode process, I just challenge the black and white analysis of the fantastic chinese capitalism. I also postulate the fact China is facing the same trend than Japan with several decades delay. I also think that interest rates in China will reach 0% by 2025 and their total debt 500% of GDP even before.
Regarding your second conclusion that means China is indebted to the level of more than 150% and that is not a problem because they owe to themselves : this is very similar the the japan in the eighties. If this was exact, there would be no problem for europe and USA because their respective central banks could easily do swaps to monetize debts to prevent technical defaults on a wider basis.
If the west engage in infrastructures works in the future, I wonder whether you will analyse it the same way.
And I find “surprising” that chinese debt levels have been exploding for the last decade while the more time passes the less new infrastructures are required because they are already built.
Lastly, I think you dismiss too easily what is (public) debt in a capitalism system even in the case where it is owns in “internal”.
Corporate chinese debt is about 170%, local governements about 50% and households 60%.
Debt in Germany (excluding financial of course) is lower than the chinese one sorry, that’s the facts.
What’s needed is a formal defense pact between Russia and China to combat the nonsense the US and NATO is spewing. There’s no reconciliation at this point, so the best option is to strength your position with the allies that you have. China is soon to be the world’s largest economy, by some measures it already is. Why not hitch you wagon to the obvious front runner and enjoy the spoils?
I agree that there is not any real difference between Trump and Biden, at least for what concerns the foreign policy. But I see a general switch from being mostly anti-Russian to be mostly anti-Chinese. China is now the real challenger of the Empire for the fact that it is also an economic power, a thing that neither URSS nor Russia has never been, and also it has handled the COVID-19 pandemic much better than its western counterparts. I believe that the most likely areas where a conflict might break up are the South Chinese Sea and the Taiwan strait, or maybe the Gulf as Iran has become very close to China in the past area and major supplier of energy.
“… the West is about 1,5-2 decades behind Russia in most critical military technologies.”
Dear Saker
Few critical areas Russia is behind the west is Electronics (miniaturization, Fabs), Machinery (Tight tolerances) and Materials (Composites). These two are essential for a military machine, even more so for a modern economy. I remember reading that one reason the Su-27 was delayed was that the electronics were too heavy compared to those on F-15, that part of the delays for the new stage 2 engine for Su-57 is composite issues on the blades, and that Su-57 production is so slow because of difficulties with tolerances required for a stealth design. Etc.
What the USA will do is cut Russia as much as possible from general trade as well as access to these key technologies. Would Russia be invaded? No. Would it suffer? Tremendously. Poverty will increase, international engagements will become too costly. Russia’s international partners are unreliable and will turn to the west at the first chance they get (Syria did that in the past, Iran would love to, China…until it can surpass the USA, maybe)
I think unless Russia reduces corruption, federates its people to improve the country with more than just the love for the motherland, and develops stable trade routes for other than oil and gas, it will remain a formidable regional power, hated for preventing a global empire.
Since I am an expert in neither of these areas, I would like to have your opinion(s) on the matter.
True, never forget either that British developed smart anti radar weapons that turn off, glide and then for up again in order to snuff out, hide from, then destroy AA systems like s400, everybody is always working on these things, not only Rus.
Nave,
You wrote:
Undoubtedly, that is correct.
But remember that American Military Procurement is hopelessly corrupt and has virtually no oversight at all. It has been reported that the F-35 cannot even fly at supersonic speeds without risk of catastrophic failure. I have heard that a number of pilots refused to fly in the F-35 due to potentially fatal problems with its ejection seats. The Patriot Air Defense System performs so poorly that both Turkey and India risked the wrath of American sanctions by buying the S-400 instead. Littoral Combat ships repeatedly had to be towed into ports on their shakedown cruises.
It may be true that America has better cutting edge technologies. But those technologies are useless if they are incorporated into poorly designed, poorly thought out and poorly manufactured combat systems.
” … cut Russia as much as possible from general trade as well as access to these key technologies… ”
If it comes to this, well, Russian Federation is a rely a world of it’s own…
But I don’t think that Russia could be isolated in this day and age.
The SU 57 is now entering service and while some aspects will soon be upgraded, it seems to be more advanced than its Western counterparts. That is what Russia is explicitly claiming and I see no immediate reason to disagree:
https://southfront.org/in-videos-augmented-reality-technologies-on-su-57-production-line-in-russia/
https://thesaker.is/su-57-is-here-russian-5th-gen-jet-enters-service/
Russia’s new attack-reconnaissance drone is about 20 years behind its US equivalent:
https://southfront.org/footage-of-first-orion-1-attack-reconnaissance-uav-delivered-to-russias-armed-forces/
But Russia is developing a series of other drones inclusing the Okhotnik (Hunter) which will be networked with the SU 57. The specification has been changed recently to make it cheaper to manufacture and while it will no longer be capable of supersonic flight, it will still be a useful front-line aerial combat drone:

To ‘Nave’, who said:

It’s quite apparent from this comment that you don’t possess any formal knowledge in the subject matter you have chosen to comment on.
About microelectronics. Very small integrated circuits are NOT used in any kind of flight vehicle that needs to fly at any significant altitudes, for the reason of susceptibility to much stronger cosmic radiation. The atmosphere is a shield, the higher you go, the less protection electronic circuits have. Even brand new Boeings are still using 286 microprocessors from 30 years ago. Flight vehicles that leave the atmosphere completely, like sats and spacecraft and intercontinental missiles need much larger circuits still. Even in the 1980s the Soviet Union was producing its own microprocessors comparable to the Intel x86 class.
This is a common misconception among the non-technical masses who don’t actually possess any physics or engineering knowledge and who think that consumer technologies like smartphones and tiny chips are very important militarily. They’re not. They’re not even that important economically. The global air travel industry is bigger by far than the chip industry, which is dominated, actually, by Taiwan, an inconsequential power. The technology for lithography machines, which is used to fabricate those silicon wafers with those tiny electronic circuits etched in chemically, is dominated by another inconsequential power, the Netherlands, which makes nearly all of those fab machines in use.
These are CONSUMER technologies. Countries like Russia [or China for that matter] are not big players in this consumer space, but they certainly are capable of producing very very capable electronics for the most demanding applications, like spacecraft, which only a handful of countries can actually do COMPETENTLY.
As to materials science. This includes not only fiber reinforced composites [tennis rackets, golf club shafts, airframe components] which are PLASTIC resins reinforced by glass or carbon or other fibers, but also METALS, and CERAMICS. Plastics is quite pedestrian chemistry. The woven fibers themselves, glass, carbon, aramid etc are also well known quantities that are no more mysterious than than the plastic resins with which they are combined to make composites. [Btw, Russia’s new MC21 airliner is all-carbon fiber airframe, using its own domestic carbon and resin].
Let’s consider metals. Back in the 1960s the Russians developed a metallurgy that was required to withstand an oxygen-rich flame that would melt any metal like candle wax [think of an oxy-acetylene cutting torch, and what happens when you squeeze the handle to increase the oxygen flow]. This was required in order to develop highly efficient rocket engines that needed to burn an oxygen-rich mixture in the turbopump pre-burners. The US rocket engine designers gave up on this, considering it ‘impossible’ [see wikipedia]. Even after the fall of the Soviet Union, engineers from Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne and Nasa were skeptical when it was revealed that the Russians had squirreled away a warehouse full of the Kuznetsov NK33 engines, which they had never used, having perfected that staged combustion cycle technology and applied it to much bigger engines that they have been using since the 1960s [including the RD180 that the US defense department has been buying for 20 years now].
It was only after those pickled 1960s era NK33s were run on the Rocketdyne test stand that the US engine community realized, with amazement, that the Russians had done the ‘impossible’. Those pickled NK33s were sold to the US, which used them for many years to launch commercial sats [the last one flew a couple of years ago]. As of today, the US still has not developed the metallurgy for oxygen-rich combustion. Hence they are unable to build high-performance rocket engines and must buy them from Russia [those are used on almost all national security payload launches, on the Russian-powered Atlas V].
Let’s consider ceramics. Most laypeople are vaguely familiar with the heat shield tiles on the Shuttle, which proved to be continuously problematic, with some always being damaged or coming off after every flight, and having to be patched up [the 2003 Columbia in-flight disintegration was related to heat shield failure; only the second time any human spaceflight ever failed in-flight, after the 1986 Challenger breakup].
Clearly, heat loads on a craft flying at tremendous speed through the atmosphere are a huge engineering challenge [we’re talking speeds of thirty times the speed of sound]. This is a challenge of a much different order than building a carbon fiber golf club, obviously; worlds apart in terms of complexity. The Russian orbiter, Buran, also used ceramic tiles for heat shielding, but, unlike the Shuttle those tiles worked beautifully. I won’t get into the technicalities of the Buran tiles, but I, and many colleagues, are mightily impressed.
Today, the world’s first and only ‘spaceplane’, the Avangard intercontinental boost-glide vehicle, uses similar composite materials technology [known as Carbon Carbon] to fly at Mach 27, while maneuvering through the atmosphere in a literal ball of fire [due to the skin friction heating].
If you, or anyone, thinks that Russia, with its massive academic and scientific infrastructure is somehow not able to do materials science, then you are living in disneyland. I work in designing aeronautical propulsion systems and have a pretty good idea of what the Russian ‘lay of the land’ looks like at these uber-heights of technology.
As for machinery and tight tolerances, well that is just plain silly. The tightest tolerances of any kind of machines that humans have ever built are in rocket engines. Go and watch a live rocket launch sometime to see and FEEL the thermodynamic POWER. It is literally unbelievable that any engine of that size could possibly produce that much power. Or even go hang out with the ‘plane spotters’ and hear and feel even large jets roaring by. It takes incredible precision to craft the parts that go into these engines. A rocket engine is operating literally on the edge of disintegration. Spacecraft also require incredibly tight machining and dimensioning for each and every component. Russia has been doing this for many decades.
You mentioned the new generation engine that is nearing completion for the Sukhoi 57. It’s worth reminding here that it was the Soviet Union that was the first to develop the single-crystal metallurgy used in making turbine blades, which is now standard in all leading jet engines. That new fighter engine, known as Izdeliye 30 [article 30] is pushing the boundaries with a similar kind of engine CYCLE advance as Kuzentsov made in the
1960s with the NK33. Believe me, carbon-reinforced plastic fan blades are not part of the plan here. [CRP is used to good effect in subsonic passenger jet engines, pioneered by GE, but is not suitable for high-temperature, supersonic flight].
The bottom line in assessing various SPECIFIC technology areas that are CRITICAL to advanced weapons and aerospace applications in general, is to look at what the ACTUAL RESULTS are. The Avangard is already deployed in missile silos [btw, look up ‘boost-glide’ to see how long the major powers have been trying to accomplish this goal of an atmospheric, hypersonic, MANEUVERING vehicle. It goes back to Eugen Sanger’s Silbervogel rocketplane glider from WW2, the ‘Amerika’ bomber project.]
Achieving something like this tells you that some absolutely incredible technologies are inside that machine. Technologies that we will ONE DAY know a little more about.
Bottom line, for those of us who actually have a lifetime of work in the areas you have chosen to comment on, namely military technology, Russia is really a kind of ‘wonderland’ that we would just LOVE to explore and look in all the secret corners. We know what we are likely to find there, the surprise is going to be ‘just how the heck did they manage to do that?’
Dear Jet Guy
Thank you for taking the time to post such a long reply. A few points if I may:
– I said that I am no expert in these fields, and though you seem to be an expert in all of them, there is no need to rub it in my face.
-In no way did I state that my perceived Russian disadvantage comes from the lack of the Russian mind. So telling me that the Soviet Union was ahead, does not answer my question about whether Russia is still competitive. Russia had budget problems in the 90s and has to finance its research with real money instead of just printing it. So I would say that my question is a legitimate one.
– I am aware that the main processor of a plane does not need to be the latest 5 nm wonder. AESA radar elements require a large number of power electronics (thousands) and sensor fusion does strain the main processor. If you don’t have the latest, you will have more power requirements and heavier electronics. Again, a disadvantage that you will have to compensate for.
I will read about the other references you gave. It’s always interesting learning new stuff. So again, thank you.
Once you understand Biden and Democrats are merely puppets of the EU run Globalists then everything should become clear. And bigger puppets than the establishment GOP.
And they will begin further assaults on Russia.
But I said before Biden will be replaced by Harris and Hillary very quickly if he were to get in and that is a danger as she is mentally unfit having health problems (parkinsons sufferers have delusions, fits and paranoia and are completely unstable) and odds as he have been a drug user in the past thats caused all that to start with.
Trump is not anti Russia – he is a deal maker. It is external forces in EU that pushes the US against Russia and elements within that use conflict to make a $ out of it.
Look at history pre-1920 period – how much conflict existed between the US with Russia ? They got on well with it even purchasing Alaska. Both had the EU moneychangers as their foes – and both the Czars and Stalin knew they were the devil. And that is the ironic fact that despite the 1917 Lenin Revolution the enemy remained the same, and is still the same. Stalin was constantly looking at the records to see what the Czars did and what type of attacks happened and how they handled them.
One thing is certain is if Trump does go there will be an enormous mess not only internally, but with Russia.
And also Iran will be in their sights too despite the confidence trick they have pulled over the Obama Nurclear Deal.
Which means that Russia will soon face the most rabidly russophobic gang of messianic Neocons in history. So what can the world expect next?
Rt……Local media in nearby Ekaterinburg reported on Tuesday that a police operation was underway at the Middle Ural Orthodox chapter, and Nikolay Romanov (known as Father Sergius) had been detained. Hundreds of supporters gathered near the road to the compound to protest the arrest of the faith leader, who has previously been formally excommunicated from the Church.
Until the Russian leadership is part of everything, NOTHING.
“FYI – when Russians speak of “partners” it is understood by all that they mean this only sarcastically…”
Although I have noticed that Russians use the word “partner” to denote an antagonist, opponent or adversary in sports and games. That is a meaning that is absolutely contrary to normal English usage.
I think of Russia’s “partners” as opponents in a game of chess.
Putin uses the word “Partner” because they were or are signatory partners in a bunch of International Treaties like: ABM, Intermediate Range Missiles, Open Skies, START. Stop reading it as sarcasm!
“According to Putin, it is the use of brains, rather than wasting money, which allowed Russia to develop all the weapon systems mentioned by Putin for the first time in 2018”.
Very true. I am reminded of a remark by Alan Turing, the British mathematician who more or less invented the digital computer.
“Turing was thoroughly dismissive of the EDSAC. He wrote [in 1946]:
““The ‘code’ which he [Wilkes] suggests is however very contrary to the line of development here, and much more in the American tradition of solving one’s difficulties by means of much equipment rather than by thought”.
– “Alan Turing and his Contemporaries: Building the World’s First Computers”, edited by Simon Lavington.
Turing was so much of a minimalist that he dismissed requests to equip his computer with “complex” instructions such as “ADD” and “SUBTRACT”. He said that if programmers wanted such operations, they should write subroutines to perform them.
The French engineer and aviator Antoine de Saint-Exupery, author of “Le Petit Prince”, explained the principle thus:
“You know you’ve achieved perfection in design, not when you have nothing more to add, but when you have nothing more to take away”.
Turing and Saint-Exupery had the backing of no less an authority than Leonardo da Vinci, who declared that “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication”.
And nothing contributes more to simplicity of design than a lack of time and money.
‘… they will show their prowess mostly by demanding that their NATO/EU colonies and protectorates continue “send messages” to Russia and show their “unity” and “solidarity” with each other, mostly by parroting self-evidently nonsensical Anglo and German propaganda’.
And, with any luck, yield the USA a bonus by impoverishing themselves to the advantage of their American competitors.
As the old saying has it, the USA has always prospered through “doing well by doing good”.
Awesome article!
Here’s a humble prediction: Russia will soon pass Germany in GDP by purchasing power parity. And with commodity prices set to rise significantly Russia’s economy will be significantly larger by the end of the decade. In fact be the end of the decade there is a fighting chance that China + Russia’s economies will be larger than the US + EU.
I only agree with the statement that the elections in the USA were stolen. And the name of the gang AZ is not bad, but it is not descriptive enough….
Anyone who observes the situation for a long time – it is clear that the basic problem is the corrupt financial system of the Ponzi-pyramid….
But the question is, is anyone outside that pyramid …?
And the most important question – who controls the Pyramid…?
Who is the “eye” at the top of the pyramid?
It is really strange (even shocking) to me that Saker never mentions the Fourth and most important pillar of any so-called “democratic government” of the state.
Every “democratic state” has a three-part government – executive, legislative and judicial …
They are elected “democratically” – but in these American elections we saw how it does not work …
Why?
I think this is more than obvious – because of that fourth pillar of the “three-part government” – or the Financial Pillar…. Presented at the Central Bank… it is private, unchanging, completely independent of “democratic government” …. but completely dependent on “international financial institution(i.e. Rothschild’s “Bank of International Settlement” for example… )…
This fourth pillar (private & Financial) is completely superior to the three so-called “democratic”…
That is why the so-called “democratic elections” are always irrelevant, because the fourth pillar – always ultimately decides exclusively on “politics”…
Unfortunately, the same structure of the “democratic government” is in Russia, so I don’t see any chance of the “conflict” that Saker is talking about happening … And if it happens, it will be just a “geopolitical” show for the naive …
I am of the opinion that the danger for the entire human race is much greater and that it far exceeds the conclusions of this analysis …
You forget, Saker, that all the US wars of this century were for Israel. The upcoming war with Iran will be for Israel. It will go nuclear within hours. Russia and China will be drawn into it because their assets in the area will be attacked. That is the hope of the Likudniks and Zionists who surround Trump, that the cataclysmic apocalyptic war to end all wars will save Trump’s presidency. It will enable him to declare martial law, suspend the Constitution, and remain president indefinitely under the USA Patriot Act.
All the strategic pieces are in place. Trump has filled the Pentagon with yes-men. It will only take a redo of 9/11 to set it all in motion, this time blamed on Iran. I’m certain the Israeli submarine currently in the Persian Gulf isn’t there for reconnaissance purposes. And, it all has to happen within weeks or days. May Heaven help us all.
Saker, I would like very much (pray, new years wish, etc) to anyone in the world (specially in the “West”) to watch the series in Youtube “Soviet storm WW2” So everybody should know why that there is no use to mess with the Russian bear. Napoleon, Hitler and many others learnt it the hard way, to try this tactics again should be much more dangerous now for the whole world.
To quote “… Russia will soon face the most rabidly russophobic gang of messianic Neocons in history. ” The problem is that crazy people will do crazy things. The one positive is a clip (see below) I saw of the new DoD secretary Lloyd Austin being grilled by a true Russiaphobe in John McCain. Austin did not favor a no-fly or a “refugee buffer zone” in Syria. Clearly Austin did not give the answer that McCain was looking for to justify direct military action on a mass scale in Syria. Hopefully Pentagon officials can offset the influence of the CIA/State Department within the new regime. Great article.

Don’t forget those hydrosonic rockets! Happy New Year, Andrei.
“Petty harassment (such as arrest of nationals, closures of offices, expulsion from various international events, etc.) will also continue, not so much because they work, but because a lot of people depend on these for their salary.”
I’m curious what your thoughts are on the impact this can have on the loves of Russian immigrants here in the US. My wife has already been harassed at work (brain-addled people trying to force my wife to admit that the Russians “hacked” 2016 elections), forced to travel far to renew her passport (due to consulate closures), and endure the everyday casual expressions of racism from those attributing malevolent characteristics to Russians in general from colleagues and acquaintances. It’s been hard on us.
I can only imagine this would become worse, but I’m also curious what any of you might predict could happen as far as actual material policy and social impact. For instance, immigration status (her green card expires in 2021, waiting for renewal for over a year now), further consulate closures, increased social pressure to “cancel” Russians (loss of job opportunities, lower wages, etc.) I worry about her safety, and to a lesser extent, mine. I also worry about the deterioration of family and friend relationships we have.

Get out while you can, because it will not get any better. Canadians and others in the Anglo world are conditioned to hate all things Russian. In their eyes Russians can do no right; despite all objective evidence the Trudeau regime approves the (lethal) Pfizer vaccine, but consider Sputnik V as “too dangerous.” Unfortunately, if you think your Russian relative just minding her own business will keep her safe, look what happened to Maria Butina.
That sounds great, but what about Syria? I could see them bombing the SAA.
Thanks again for a razor sharp analysis, Saker.
First of all, also due to a sharp but nice discussion that I had in the last Cafe, though we found understanding in the end, I want to say something.
From Germany, I want to say to the citizens and representatives of the Russian Federation that I feel embarrassed for the ridiculous statements and ‘demands’ from our so-called German leaders. I want to state here very firmly that this is not my opinion, nor of any family, friend or colleague that I know that are of the most diverse political opinion.
Firstly I wanted to apologize, but I cannot say apology for something that I didn’t do.
If I’m not mistaken. president Putin said to the firm words of Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer that we should not pay to much attention to it. That’s the most deadly response that you can get in politics, and I highly doubt whether she gets this.
But seriously, we in this nation want to live together, work together, and step into the future. With the Russian Federation. We have had our bad periods, don’t forget it but remember it at something not worth it to repeat it, but that won’t get get us any further from now. When you keep looking behind you’re back, you won’t see the hole in the road that’s before you. Let’s step ahead.
Secondly, at the end of this year when people get reflective, I had some thoughts.
I guess Biden will be shoved into the WH. Many things will follow, that is not easy to predict. I guess Biden will be buried into the basement or dragged away. Harris can’t handle things properly. She has a nice wanted mocca color for who’s interested, but let’s remember that she crawled to the top by feeling more floor under her knees than most Mexican cleaning ladies.
She was shredded by Tulsi Gubbard when she was bragging about her being an AG in California, and it was so painful that I can hardly foresee that she can, say, put an Erdogan on his place.
I foresee that Obama will pull the strings in her place. Not so constitutional, is it?
In the meantime the USA may fall apart. Could be on a state level or a county level, I’ll leave that to USA commentators to say something about that.
Furthermore, I fear for a ‘mistake’. Someone thinks it’s a good idea to drive an Aircraft Carrier Group through the South-Chinese sea. ‘Giving a message’. Maybe they’ll deliver as shot to the Chinese islands ‘to give a message’.
May I give a suggestion as a simple industrial engineer? When I want to give someone a message, I grab my cell phone. Cool, that we have that now, isn’t it?
May I not be in the position to react, I say on beforehand: have a wonderful New Year. Be safe, take care of your family and friends, and stay healthy. Together we are the future.
Cheers, Rob
Not to worry, Rob! Apology is absolutely not relevant for you.
Most of us in whatever country are beyond embarrassment for our govts. I would think my fellow Americans would be at the top of the list for extreme embarrassment but that does not seem to change much of anything. It just gets worse when one believes that it cannot get any worse.
I found a couple of thoughts on another blog site which I do not believe was copyright so I do not believe a link for attribution is necessary; (my side comment would be that we must all remain steadfast and stay together as it becomes almost an act of treachery to tell the truth):
The quote:
“Steadfast doesn’t mean when it’s easy; the term has no meaning when things are working according to our own convenient interests. Steadfast means standing strong when it’s challenging, difficult and unnerving. Just as courage is not the absence of fear, rather it is taking action despite being fearful; so too is steadfast a decision.
Often when things are disconcerting, we retreat to the place where we are comfortable. However, steadfast is unwavering despite the obstacles and difficulties. When we don’t hold the words to comfort the grieved, yet we show up and sit quietly just to eliminate loneliness, that is a steadfast commitment. When we see adversity on the face of another, and we choose to engage with our time and comfort, that is a steadfast decision.”
Best wishes Rob to you and your family. I for one appreciate your civil and informative posts and comments here on this site.
Good article for reference! Thank you!
Much humor in this, Saker.
You must have had fun writing it.
I had fun reading it.
“How about the kind of self-evidently ridiculous stories about Russians using (a clearly ineffective) combat biological agent like the so-called “Novichok”, trying to kill irrelevant bloggers and failing to do so, or some variation on “animal Assad” “poisoning his own people”?
Love the Nivichok story and the recent ‘evidence’ by Bellingcat so I did a response from a ‘Bellingbat’ I made up. Here it is ….

‘Still, we can count on Biden and Harris to try to show how “tough” they are on Russia and Putin’
There is a feeling that the plan is to elevate Kamala to the Presidency as most folk understand Joe Biden may well be in a position well above his energy and intellectual capacity. This is not to say Kamala is his intellectual superior.
It will not be President Biden for long it will be Madam President!

Individual US rulers will come and go but the American Evil Empire remains the same.
The Right Wing American militarist regime of Donald Trump is replaced by … the Right Wing American militarist regime of Joe Biden.
From: Biden names national security team of right-wing militarists
https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2020/11/24/bide-n24.html
“President-elect Joe Biden sent a clear message to the world and to the American people with the first announcement of the top appointees to his cabinet and White House staff: the number one priority of the incoming Democratic administration is to build a US-led front of imperialist powers in preparation for stepped up military pressure and outright war on Russia and China.”
Despite their fake “partisan political differences,” the TrumpTard supporters and BidenBot supporters are actually two sides of the same coin:
They are different factions of the same American Empire who all possess the same imperial ambitions for American world conquest–and differ only by their choice of preferred political cult leader in charge, Trump or Biden.
Such is the Nazi-style Big Lie called American “Democracy and Freedom.”
Empire is fundamental to the American civilizational DNA, as the United States of America itself was spawned through its colonization and conquest of Native Indian, Mexican, and Hawaiian lands that the USA continues to occupy to this very day.
America’s ambitions for Manifest Destiny first to colonize the North American continent have not abated but now are even more insane with its Manifest Destiny to colonize the entire planet.
This is what America’s so-called “Liberal-Democratic world order” is really about: a unipolar American world dictatorship disguised behind the mask of liberty.
Most pro-American propagandists–of all political stripes, including supposed Alt Media–don’t have the honesty to admit this reality, even though it has been effectively admitted in successive American regimes’ national security documents.

Excellent comment,JohnTB.
I remember the saker was very worried in 2016 because with clinton war was almost certain according to him. Trump s geostrategic tool kit was limited which prevented him from attacking countries. If clinton would have been elected back in 2016 she would have used the same limited tool kit and starting a war would have been complicated for her also.
So I don’t really understand why is the Saker optimistic now with Biden who is a clinton s clone and why he was so worried in 2016 with clinton becoming POTUS.
If clinton was a real danger for peace back in 2016 then Biden should be a real danger for peace too.
Right on the money -delighted to see Belarus stabilized -the west is heading for a collapse – it may take a military defeat to initiate the unraveling
Thanks, Saker. I like your point of view. Although I have my particular suspicions about Russia’s role in the world, as I have with every major player (listen to everyone, trust no one), I do think Russia looks like the most dignified country in the current world. But what about this –

and this –

and this?

I tend to think that behind the curtains of the geopolitical show, all leaders drink and feast together and laugh about the peasants they rule. Recently I have been thinking a lot about some pictures I saw, showing Kissinger and Mao laughing in a meeting (see Mao Zedong page in Wikipedia, the picture is there), and another one with Zhou Enlain in conversations with no one less than David Rockefeller. I’m pretty sure both Kissinger and Rockefeller appreciated Mao’s CCP policies of persecuting dissent (just like the actual Cultural Revolution) and letting a vast portion of people starving in the name of future prosperity (Great Leap Forward or Great Reset Build Back Better?). And then comes this “Happy New Year” from Netanyahu to Putin. Makes me think. And about China and Russia honeymoon, what about Israel selling military technology to China? Makes me think even more.
Anyway, I may be too paranoid, but who can blame me in these days we are living? O tempora, o mores.
Bravo! Well stated!
I was going to write a less extensive reply to Nave’s comment below:
Nave,
You wrote:
“Few critical areas Russia is behind the west is Electronics (miniaturization, Fabs), Machinery (Tight tolerances) and Materials (Composites). These two are essential for a military machine, even more so for a modern economy.“
Electronics? Southfront has published an opinion that what made Trump reconsider his approach to Syria and Russia was the massive failure of his White Hats false flag attack. It was according to Southfront due to his super duper Tomahawks being confused in flight with massive Russian Radio electronic interference.
Machinery (Tight tolerances)!?
Huh, that is what is needed to fabricate a turbopump that spins at 40-50,000 rpm!! URSS and Russia have been fabricating these for rocket engines for several decades. US has to buy them from Russia.
Materials? Materials Science is where both Soviets and Russians are way ahead in the game. Just think about the Avantgard being described as a plasma covered maneuverable glide vehicle in final phase becoming a meteorite like fireball with skin temperatures in the 2,000°C range.
But you stated it much better Jet Guy, thank you for sharing your impressive knowledge on the subject
Well, this presumes the ‘leaders’ rising up amongst the U.S. are actually sane.
These ‘A-men’ and especially the hysterical ‘A-women’ or simply ‘X-people’ are capable of triggering a war for the same reason they weaponized a fake pandemic…
It helps to distract from, and to impose further martial law, to ‘protect the people’ from the Russian threat.
After all if the Russians are willing to poison people with Novochick, then Assad gases everyone, and Saddam Hussein has nothing better to do than mail anthrax through the U.S. Post, then the evil evil Russians are right now preparing to unleash ‘Novo-Covid-Sars-Anthrax-Killer-Bees-2X’ some day.
There will be a total absence of evidence, and nobody will be dropping dead, and even more oddly, the deadly poisoned people all make full recoveries. But the media will constantly hyperventilate over ‘cases’ and they’ll put up the charts, and the police will crack your wife and sons’ and daughters skulls for daring to celebrate Christmas together while the scary Russian Novochik aerosol variant is going around, so stay in your cells, shut down your businesses and starve to death in your useless masks that magically also work against deadly chemical agents now, because, why not?
The pandemic-hoax experiment has proven correctly that this scenario will work. All they need is a few scary statements from the bought and paid for W.H.O. and enough Russians being stupid enough to also play along with it as they have COVID to the point of equally rushing out pointless vaccines and lockdowns, because catering to perception is short-term strategically more important than the truth. But I guess the Russians will play along with COVID for the same reasons they play along with 9/11.
There are evil smart people that are the enemy of Russia, they tell the U.S.A. and much of the world what to do, they are influential enough that even Putin and Russia must bow down to at their command, and they are not to be confused with the Biden administration or the U.S.A.
Covid-19 was a test for Dark Winter. The Novochik narrative was laying the seeds. If a Russian false-flag is to work, it must also necessitate a big big response.
The conclusion could not be more wrong.
There is a huge difference between ‘Russia will still have to be Russia no matter what’ and ‘Russia does not care who stays in WH’. The first statement is true. The second is not.
The Saker’s best analysis is on strategic military matters regarding Russia and strategic opponents. On the US political side of things he seems to be missing strategic perspective and one can clearly tell he is not on his best contemplation.
Respectfully.
Well, as long as it is all media hot air, I guess the world will remain safe.
The problem with all that hot air is that it removes issues of real substance from the newsstands.
For people like me, that has long since become irrelevant. I gave up buying newspapers, nor reading them several years ago and stopped watching BBC news at the same time. They are simply irredemable, disinterested in honorable journalism, nor in representing the interests of the people who pay their salaries (in the case of the BBC).
What I propose is that a lot of ordinary Russian people make an effort to befriend one ordinary western citizen and engage in talking online together in the manner that normal respectful human beings might do.
The more ordinary Americans, British, French, German, Polish, Italian, Spanish, Canadian and Japanese people can be brought into contact with ordinary Russian people, the more they will see that they have nothing to fear from Russian people and that actually, they have far more to fear from the nefarious actors within the shadows of their own Deep States.
I also suggest that tens of millions, nay hundreds of millions of ordinary, decent Western citizens simply stop reading Western newspapers, stop watching ‘the news’ on ‘Mainstream’ TV channels and make very sure not to trust any websites that source their news from ‘official Government agencies’.
The quickest way for derelict leaders to become surplus to requirements is them losing any relevance to the lives of their electors.
Ignoring them completely and engaging directly with foreign citizens is now the best way to defuse the mad psychopaths’ hold on global politics, after all….
