If someone can get in touch with him – it may be prudent to ditch that MacBook Pro (or any Western tech with backdoors such as Samsung, Nokia…) or any similar western-zone smartphone which can provide easy geo-location.

Seems like they are trying to goad Gonzalo into outing his location by questioning whether he is in ukraine. All they need is to get him to point a camera out the window for a moment, and many ukrops will know where he is, and we all know that the SBU will go after him quick.

Yes, he is fine. He would also definitely mention the emergency being that he is taken if that were the case. It would be his best bet that he would be kept alive. That’s logical. Just dropping out and saying I have to go, isn’t as suspicious. Thankfully, he is alright.
